Absolutely amazing Spanish restaurant! The seafood paella was incredibly delicious — perfectly cooked and full of flavor. What surprised me even more were the grilled green peppers and the Iberian ham — both were simply outstanding! The atmosphere was so warm, joyful, and pet-friendly, which made the whole experience even better. When someone in the restaurant had a birthday, everyone joined in singing and cheering — it was such a heartwarming moment! Top-notch food, top-notch service, and the perfect vibe for a Friday night!

Being Spanish, I ordered a bottle of water and a tapa while waiting for my Uber to the airport and was denied service. The head waiter was aggressive, and the waitress was recording me. I felt homophobic. I was just waiting for my Uber, and it just so happened to be across the street from this restaurant. It's a classist and homophobic place.

The staff was super friendly, attentive, and warm; you immediately feel welcome. The *location is great*, easily accessible, and the atmosphere in the restaurant is cozy and inviting. A particularly convenient feature: There are *ample parking spaces* near Adlerstr, for example, so getting there is truly stress-free. Overall, a fantastic experience – I'll definitely be back. We discovered La Taberna online some time ago and tried it without great expectations. The first thing that struck us was the warm and friendly atmosphere that characterizes this place. As we gradually tasted the tapas we had ordered, it was immediately clear to us that we had found a very special place. There are many tapas restaurants, but none is as authentic as La Taberna. Everything tastes just like it does in Spain, including the drinks. We have eaten and enjoyed our meals at Taberna many times, and the warmth of the family that runs this restaurant is unique. Especially these days, such a culinary gem is very rare. We hope the family and La Taberna will stay with us for a long time to come.

It seems that Spaniards are not wanted in this restaurant. We went to have a few beers and the waiter told us that we had to be outside on the street even though it was raining.

Disappointing experience – hidden extra costs!! On August 27th, around 8:40 PM, I was at La Taberna Española. I ordered a rump steak for €22.50 with patatas bravas and chimichurri. The menu offered a choice of patatas bravas and sauces as a side dish – there were other options, so I chose those two. I also had a glass of wine for €5.70, for a total of €28.20. When I got the bill, I was surprised: There was an additional €3.70 charge for "various snacks." When I asked the waiter why, since I hadn't ordered any snacks, I was told it was the sauce (chimichurri). I explained that it wasn't listed on the menu. The response was "That's right, I'm sorry," and the money was still taken. I didn't want to argue, as I was only in Düsseldorf for a few days, so I paid. But one thing is clear: I would never go here again and can't recommend the restaurant to anyone. For me, it was a complete rip-off.

Good service. Value for money is okay. The garlic prawns were okay, but €12.50 for 3.5 small prawns wasn't good. However, the other tapas were okay. The ambiance was also okay.

Whether vegetarian, fish, or meat, everything was incredibly delicious. Perfectly seasoned, especially the octopus, etc., which were very tender and flavorful. The service was also good, and the location was authentic and cozy. Tapas are always a bit pricey, but I found the value for money here to be fair. We'd love to come back—I'm thrilled. A fantastic tapas restaurant with a true Spanish soul! I was particularly impressed by the Galician-style octopus – perfectly cooked, tender and aromatic, simply a delight. The other tapas were also excellent: freshly prepared, authentically seasoned, and beautifully presented. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, and the service is very friendly and attentive. You feel like you're in Spain! If you love tapas, you should definitely visit this restaurant. I definitely recommend it!

A Spanish restaurant recommended by a friend! Seafood paella is a luxurious way to enjoy several types of seafood, and each paella is large and filling. The portion was a bit large even for two people to share. In addition, Estrella beer is light and easy to drink, and goes perfectly with Spanish food. When I visited on Friday around 6:30 pm, there were about 4 to 5 groups of customers, and the food was served smoothly. However, it starts to get crowded after 7pm, so reservations are recommended. If you want to enjoy Spanish cuisine, this is a restaurant you should definitely visit!

Doing our annual visit to Duesseldorf this week. One of us wanted tapas, so we landed at this neighborhood place. We ordered 4 tapas and 2 paellas. Everything we had was awesomely delicious, and the service was decent until the end... we were forced to add tips to our bill. Tips were generally not required in the past in Germany or other EU countries, but now the servers would openly ask for tips, and some of them were downright nasty. Can someone please tell me... tips are mandatory in the EU now??? We had a wonderful meal and it was spoiled at the end because a few bucks (15 euros)... what a shame.
