Four of us had dinner there last night. It was a wonderful experience. The service, the staff and the food were first class. I can't recommend it. At the end there was a tunel on the house. It's the kind gestures that make life worthwhile

On a recent visit to Düsseldorf, I decided to visit this restaurant because it was near my hotel and the google reviews were impressive. I arrived to a busy restaurant and was greeted with a warm welcome. The menu was extensive and impressive. I ordered a selection of tapas , including tortilla, meatballs, croquettes all of which were delicious as was the wine that the waiter recommended. If you’re in the neighbourhood and wondering where to eat cone here.

Hola, if you want to eat Spanish, this restaurant is the right place for you. The atmosphere is friendly and cozy and invites you to linger. The service was friendly and courteous and gave us good advice. The food was very tasty and authentic and tasted very good. Price-performance ratio is good. Clear recommendation, we would love to come back!!

Called in advance and were told to come by, left there for 25 minutes without anything and were always put off for a table. Better somewhere else

I reserved a table by phone 2 weeks ago for July 11, 24/6 p.m. When I arrived at the restaurant with my friend, whom I had invited to dinner for her birthday, we found the door closed. Note on the door: Closed from July 10, 2024 due to vacation. More than annoying!!! If you change your opening hours so spontaneously, you should write down the telephone numbers when making reservations so that you can cancel your guests and save them unnecessary journeys.

Very friendly staff, excellent food

My husband and I ate at La Taberna for the first time today and we were positively surprised, both the quality and the hospitality were top! Highly recommended is the paella, rich in fish and cooked to perfection. We are already looking forward to the next visit!

It was a disappointing experience. We were hoping that we could eat a good paella in this restaurant as it seems to be the specialty of this restaurant too. However, the rice was not cooked through and the palla tasted bland overall. But the worst thing was the rude and inattentive service. In my opinion, anyone who gives us the menu cards without saying a word, doesn't ask if everything is OK and doesn't even thank us for the visit at the end is not in the right job. At least the music was good.

The food is very tasty and “special requests” are no problem. We wanted a paella for 2 people, 1x veggie and 1x meat. We each got our own paella. Top. Portions are good and the service is friendly. Not so nice from the outside, but who cares when you sit inside and eat delicious food. What I found a little bit annoying is that it is very loud - at least when the dining room is full (which is again a sign of the good cuisine!).

Solid classics. Not fantastic but not a let down. Service was great. Wine selection was decently priced. No standout dishes . We went tapas not paella. Maybe next time..

La Taberna Española is an authentic piece of Spain in the middle of Düsseldorf. The tapas are irresistible, the paella delicious and the sangria completes the experience perfectly. This restaurant must be recommended to everyone who loves not only Spanish food but also great service. From the first moment you feel welcomed, the welcome treat (olives, garlic cream, bread) whets your appetite for more, and the extensive menu will make any lover of Spanish cuisine's heart beat faster. And the associated expectations are then actually met. Every question about the dishes on offer was answered comprehensively and the quality was excellent in all cases. And guests are given time to enjoy their food. The starter is not immediately followed by the main course and then the question of dessert in order to free up the seat or seats as quickly as possible. The extremely friendly staff always react to the guest in a pleasant, reserved manner; It is simply a great pleasure to stay in this restaurant. The fact that you can drink Galician draft beer or one of the excellent wines with your meal increases the enjoyment of your stay. You come as a stranger and leave as a friend. And that's why we're really looking forward to our next visit.

We ate tapas and vegetarian paella. Everything was delicious and we felt like we were on vacation. The highlight was the aioli. Next time we'll try the sangria and also have a schnapps 😉 Very friendly service. We would be very happy to have a branch in Stuttgart.

We had a lovely dinner at this restaurant. The service was a bit slow initially, but they caught up really fast, with a very attentive staff that made sure constantly we had everything we needed. The mixed paella for two was huge and delicious. We had enough leftovers for a lunch the next day. I can definitely recommend this place!

The service is very good. The atmosphere is normal, but I see that the windows on the road are not pleasing. The seafood was delicious, but the rice was very burnt and stuck. This was a little disappointing. Good news for fans of beer on tap, it’s very tasty

Large selection of tapas. We chose 6 different ones and each one was delicious, very good quality, we were thrilled because we didn't expect that. Very nice service and even though it was completely full, we were served attentively and carefully. Great evening and we'll be back.

Very good Spanish dishes and friendly staff at the table. We ate a different set of tapas, and everything tasted fresh and good. The wine advised by the waiter was great as well. It's a small restaurant with many tables, so there isn't much space. And when every table is occupied it can become quite noisy. None the less we enjoyed the good food, fine wine and friendly staff.

Good, authentic food. Plenty of cold and warm tapas options and extremely tasty. Dessert options were delicious too. Sangria and plenty of drinks on offer! Service and atmosphere also good; the restaurant was busy Friday evening, always a good sign. Give it a try!

A very nice Spanish restaurant in the heart of Düsseldorf, just east of the Altstadt (old town). We dined here on 31.1.2024, a party of seven (7), and everyone was very satisfied with everything about this restaurant. The service was fast, friendly, and competent. We all had a good variety of Tapas, which were super fresh, very tasty, and reasonably priced. We had a variety of drinks - also very tasty and served at the right temperature. You do not have to travel to Spain for tasty Tapas - enjoy them here in Düsseldorf!

Hace poco visité este lugar con mi esposa y mi hijo, viajamos desde Bochum a Dusseldorf, no teníamos ninguna reservación, solo buscamos en el mapa y el lugar ideal fue este sitio, todo muy delicioso; probé por primera vez la paella española, aunque esta la pedimos mixta, que llevara carne y mariscos. Recomendado 100% La atención por parte del personal fue excelente, al menos me podían entender a mi que no hablo alemán

Wir waren am 25.11. 2020 da mit der Familie, es war ein sehr schöner Abend. Mit tollem Essen, hat alles sehr gut geschmeckt. Besonders die Sangria war sowas von lecker. Wir als Familie sagen Danke zu diesem tollen Abend.

Nice environment and good service by the staff. Almost all dishes are great except for the sausage which was a bit too salty than spicy. Beer was good, food was served in time! We enjoyed it!

I had a great experience yesterday with my friends. The staff was friendly, tapas very tasty and eventhough the restaurant was nearly full everyone could enjoy having conversation. I will definetly come back ( we were so hungry we forgot to take pictures but i recommend the fried calamari, pulpo, jamon, garlic gamba, beef with chili& garlic, patatas bravas) :)
