Inconspicuous from the outside, cozy inside with an attractive roof terrace. We were passing through, visiting friends in Frankfurt and were seduced into the Lorbeer. Three starters, four main courses (fish and salads) and five desserts were all freshly prepared, extremely tasty and there was also a lot to look forward to. We were also offered top service, with recommendations and special requests not neglected. Overall, highly recommended and an example of how German cuisine is neither boring nor hearty.

Now to the main thing: the food! - very good, balanced portions, not too much, just right. - freshly prepared with love for cooking - very tasty and very good! Thanks to the chef! We had the spare ribs twice and a burger. All three of us were thrilled! The trip here was very worth it and we would be happy to come back - absolutely recommended.

Really high quality! ... and delicious 😀 And last but not least: I also like sitting here - preferably outside, of course, but it's really nice inside too (and you can have a good conversation at the table without having to overpower the next table). Definitely a recommendation! PS: ... I like the boss too!

We can't fully understand the sometimes exuberant reviews. The ambience is okay. The service friendly. The food was okay for us, the mixed bruscetta wasn't our thing, the burger was average and the Cesars salad was okay.

I am 100% satisfied in all respects. Drinks: homemade lavender lemonade and apple juice spritzer, very good, Dishes: Schnitzel Viennese style with fries and a salad made from fresh ingredients (leaf lettuce, rocket, cucumber, radishes, cherry tomatoes) We also ordered a mixed salad with grilled asparagus and white bread. Price / offer: Very good. It's just a shame that we were passing through and live 250 km away :-( we would stop there more often...

Unassuming from the outside, but it holds its own from the inside! We really liked the atmosphere, modern but still cozy and familiar, also suitable for large groups, both outside and inside. The menu has a lot to offer, German cuisine with a fresh twist. Everything we have eaten so far has always been delicious and the portions are large. The staff is always friendly, a young team with a very nice boss. Reservation is advantageous for large groups. We'd love to come back again and again!

The food. It's good, but way too expensive.

The food here is very tasty. We especially like the homemade lemonade.

Good was average. Service was non existent and ambience was also average. Very surprised about the 4.6 rating. On top, they charged us EUR 1.20 for plates.

We needed to pick up our water on our own because the waiter took too long. We asked for a plate to share our bruschetta as an Entrée and we were charged 3,60 extra (after asking they said that extra plates need to be watched and so its fair to charge us this). The food quality was okay but little portions and the salad was served without bread.

There were three of us eating here and we had made reservations accordingly. The restaurant has a mixed style and shows that the tenant was indecisive. The service person greeted us in a friendly manner and showed us to our table. After that it took almost 20 minutes until we even received the card and another 10 minutes until we were given the order for the drinks. A starter to share was ordered, bruschetta and for the main courses we chose Wiener Schnitzel with fried potatoes and a Cesar salad as a side salad, a Cesar salad with grilled cheese and Cesar salad with beef strips. The bruschetta came very quickly. They were slices of a baked baguette that had probably been thrown on the grill hours ago. We asked for plates because we wanted to save ourselves the mess on the table that I then had to get myself. The bruschetta just didn't taste like anything, unfortunately. The bread was probably from lunch and the tomatoes were simply tasteless. The main course finally came after 30 minutes. The salads were still wet and soaked in sauce. One salad had a whopping 5 strips of beef and the grilled cheese had 2 pieces. The schnitzel was a decent portion, but very dry and tough. Unfortunately the waiter never came back, so I had to run back to the bar and give the empty bottle to the waiter and ask him for a new one. When we asked for the bill, the surprise came. We would be charged robber plates. EUR 1.20 per plate. When asked what this position referred to, the waiter said it was for the 3 extra plates to share the appetizer. Finally, the dishes have to be brought in, cleared away and washed. I would understand it for a main course, but for a starter? To record the speed of the kitchen/service, we were there at 7:30pm and the bill was issued at 9:56pm. Price/performance is definitely not there and the quality of the food is absolutely poor.

Top food, nice service and a pleasant atmosphere.

We were in the restaurant for the first time. Unfortunately, our expectations were not entirely met. The food was average. For the main course we had pasta with salmon and a chicken burger. The pasta tasted good, but the burger was unfortunately disappointing. The bread was not properly toasted and the other ingredients can also be found in the kitchen at home. We could have managed that too. We ordered the “robber plate” for our daughter. An empty plate because she got some of our food. When it came time to pay, we were asked four times who had what drinks. The bill was paid separately because we were there with another couple. Despite the 4 malicious requests, the bill came out wrong. After that was clarified, we were asked how we wanted to pay. This was also said 3 times before. Well, on the bill the robber plate was €1.20. Great surprise because it was an empty plate. Children's cutlery was not included. We then got the cake fork at the counter. When I asked why an empty plate was charged like that, the only answer was: the boss sets the prices. Okay, you can do that, but you certainly won't get any new regulars that way. Service often seemed a bit clumsy.

I ordered the spare ribs. Were really very good. Food tasted great. Very nice restaurant and the staff was very accommodating and nice. So if you want to go out for a delicious meal, you've come to the right place. 👍

The Gasthaus Lorbeer offers delicious cuisine and good service in a cozy, modern atmosphere. The selection on the menu leaves nothing to be desired. We were well served and the food arrived quickly. 😊I can recommend the burger selection...juicy patty and no ordinary run-of-the-mill buns. Thanks to the team. I would love to come back.

Ich bin Wiederholungstäter- beim ersten Besuch hatte ich die Ochsenbäckchen von der Tageskarte und beim zweiten Mal das Gänsemenü. Beides war sehr lecker!

Very nice restaurant. Food very tasty and the staff very friendly. In the run-up to Christmas you can also get goose leg with dumplings, red cabbage and sauce.

If you haven't eaten here yet, you've definitely missed something. Everything is perfect here, great service, fast, friendly and the food is amazing. We've eaten in many restaurants and tried a few burgers, but this was the best burger my husband has ever eaten. The fries and especially the coleslaw were also great. The dessert, hazelnut tiramisu was a dream. We can recommend this restaurant 100%. Thank you for this lovely evening, I had a very great birthday meal.

Ich war schon öfter dort. zuletzt im Sommer. Da gäbe es noch tolles Essen und prima Service. Aber jetzt......ein kompletter Reinfall. Werbung auf der Homepage...."frische Zutaten"..."Fleisch von bekannten lokalen Versorgern". Mit Sicherheit nicht, es sei denn man betrachtet mittelmäßige, belanglose Tiefkühl Patties für die Burger als frisch und sie werden tiefgekühlt vom lokalen Versorger geliefert. Ein richtig platt geklopftes Schnitzel ist bei einem richtigen Wiener angebracht, aber auch dann gehört es in der Pfanne gemacht und sollte eine entsprechend wellige Panade haben. Ein Schweineschnitzel, dass zwischen der Panade kaum zu entdecken ist und auch noch trocken ist, hat mit Kochen nichts zu tun. Warum muss man über das Rinder Carpaccio das gleiche süße Dressing schütten wie bei einem Salat? Das hat einfach nur ekelhaft geschmeckt und ging auch direkt zurück. Ein Feldsalat mit Speck und Croutons....ein weiterer Reinfall. Essenzen von Speck und die billigsten Massenware Croutons. Der Service....wohlwollend ausgedrückt....unauffällig. Wir gehen da nicht mehr hin.

Auf Empfehlung das erste Mal hier. Burger waren ein Traum, schon lange kein sooooo fantastisches Fleisch mehr gegessen...jeden Cent wert👍. Süßkartoffelpommes ein Gedicht, selbstgemachte Limo muss man probiert haben. Chef des Hauses sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Junger Mann hinter dem Tresen versteht seinen Job und ist ebenfalls sehr freundlich. Tolles Ambiente, sehr gemütlich...hier kann man es aushalten. Wir waren definitiv nicht zum letzten Mal hier🙏.

Kommen immer wieder gerne, ob zum Essen oder auch einfach nur was zu trinken. Service immer freundlich und sehr aufmerksam. Das Essen wie immer überragend und super angenehme Wartezeit. Empfehlenswert sind neben den US-RIBS und Burger die Specials von der Specialkarte und auch die Tafeln. Immer was tolles dabei und für eine Überraschung gut. Nur zu empfehlen.

Sehr leckere Sparerips! Das Fleisch ist so zart, dass es sich ohne Besteck vom Knochen löst. Der Geschmack ist gigantisch!!! Jederzeit wieder!

Nach einem ausgiebigen Spaziergang in der Natur sind wir spontan eingekehrt im Restaurant Lorbeer. Wir sind offenherzig und sehr freundlich empfangen worden von einem jungen Mann, der Chef des Hauses. Wir haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt, die Atmosphäre war extrem freundlich und das Essen hat super gut geschmeckt. Wir kommen wieder und freuen uns auf das nächste Mal. Ein schöner "Lorbeer" Abend. Gemütliche Gaststätte in Bad Soden-Neuenheim, die meine Freunde für ihre Hochzeitsfeier nutzten. Vorzüglichen Essen und guter Service. Viele blieben bis zum späten Abend - hat also allen gefallen!

Burger findet ich kreativ und top. Service sehr freundlich und auf Zack Und das Ambiente ist mit dem vielen Holz sehr stylisch

Gestern Spareribs gegessen. Würde am liebsten heute wieder kommen. Das Fleisch löst sich fast von selbst vom Knochen. Saftig und zart. Geschmacklich sehr lecker. Zum Niederknien. Der Service sehr nett. Die Terrasse bietet interessante Ausblicke auf den Straßenverkehr. Komme sehr bald wieder.

Waren bisher erst einmal hier, aber das wird nicht das letzte mal gewesen sein. Frankfurter Schnitzel war sehr lecker allerdings darf man keinen zuuu großen Hunger haben. Die grüne Soße war geschmacklich super aber etwas wenig und das Schnitzel sehr knusprig aber auch sehr dünn.

We hebben hier, als gezin, heerlijk gegeten. We waren vrij vroeg, maar dat was geen probleem. Er was ook een gezelschap die een bruiloft vierde, maar daar hadden we geen last van. Vriendelijke bediening. Goed eten, heerlijke limonades (aanrader!), lekker bier. Je kunt zowel binnen eten als buiten op een terras.

Sehr empfehlenswert, unbedingt vorbei schauen!

auf die Empfehlung eines Kollegen hin, haben wir uns auf den Weg ins fast 70km entfernte Bad Soden gemacht, um die legendären Spare Ribs zu testen. Und - der Weg hat sich gelohnt! Super lecker! Auch die Burger! Und den super freundlichen Service muss ich auch lobend erwähnen! Kompliment an Ludwig und sein Team! Wir werden den Weg mit Sicherheit wieder auf uns nehmen! *****+Empfehlung!

Leckeree Essen und super Service, alles schmeckt immer sehr gut und die Qualität passt - preislich im normalen Rahmen für das Rheinmaingebiet. Parkplätze gibt es leider nur acht Stück vor Ort, in der näheren Umgebung ( 250m ) aber ausreichend Alternativen

Es dauerte eine halbe Stunde bis wir unsere Getränke hatten und eine Stunde bis die Vorspeise war. Wir haben beide unabhängig voneinander gesagt, dass es das schlechte Bruschetta unseres Lebens war. Das Brot schmeckte wir von Vortag. Es wurde an die Küche weitergegeben, aber eine Rückmeldung gab es nicht. Burger ok, nichts besonderes. Die Brötchen waren nicht vollständig aufgebacken. Wir werden dort nicht mehr hingehen.

wir waren heute spontan mit 10 Personen im Lorbeer essen. Wir haben kurzfristig um 21:00 h noch einen Tisch bekommen. Der Service war super freundlich, das Essen unglaublich lecker, Espresso heiß, Bier und Schoppen kalt, Preise vollkommen fein. Fantastisch, gerne wieder !!!

Hübsches Restaurant mit guter Atmosphäre. Das Essen ist schmackhaft und sehr zu empfehlen. Die Spare Ribs waren unglaublich - das saftige Fleisch ist quasi einfach so von den Knochen abgefallen.

Sehr nettes Personal und tolles Essen! Wir wurden sehr nett empfangen und die Speisekarte bietet eine gute Auswahl. Die Portionen sind zum satt werden und preislich mehr als fair. Mein persönliches Highlight war die selbstgemachte Maracuja - Kokos Limonade.

Das Essen war echt lecker, der Service war an diesem Samstag gut (es gab nix zu meckern) und die Preise sind ortsüblich. Wir kommen bestimmt mal wieder. Einziger Minuspunkt: Parkplätze sind dort echt rar.
