So we made a reservation there on Christmas Day at 2 p.m. When we came into the restaurant we were told to please go out into the courtyard for a while and wait there. Although there were several free tables in the entrance area! After 20 minutes in the cold it became too much for us and we asked if we could finally get a table? The condition then meant, of course, please come. So if we hadn't asked again ourselves, we would probably still be waiting for a table today. No pig took care of the guests! It was absolute chaos. No structure and everyone is overwhelmed. The next thing that annoyed us was that we all wanted to eat roulades. Unfortunately there were no more on Christmas Day at 2 p.m. Here too, an absolute misplanning by the restaurant. Something like that shouldn't actually happen. Furthermore, the food came to the table quickly and was of really good quality, but the fact that I only got my beer 20 minutes after eating and only because I asked for it again is an absolute disgrace and is not possible. Furthermore, the atmosphere wasn't exactly inviting either. Old tables and chairs and the front door was constantly open and the guest room felt uncomfortable and cold. And not to forget. The rump steak here cost €25, the fries or fried potatoes cost an extra €4.90, an absolute disgrace and unacceptable, especially for a farmer's shop like this. At the end, when we had paid and wanted to drive, to top it all off, an idiot stood behind us in his Audi and parked in front of us. Then one of us went to the restaurant and told the boss. Then a bored man got up, went to his car and said, we always park like this...that's normal! What a stupid beast, sorry! It was the last time we were in this cow town and in this shop that we don't recommend.

Also wir hatten am 1. Weihnachtsfeiertag um 14:00 dort reserviert. Als wir in das Restaurant kamen, wurde uns gesagt, bitte gehen sie noch eine Weile raus in den Hof und warten dort. Obwohl vorne im Eingangsbereich mehrere Tische frei waren! Nach 20 Minuten im Kalten wurde es uns zu bunt und wir haben gefragt ob wir jetzt endlich einen Tisch bekommen würden? Daraufhin hat die Bedingung gemeint, natürlich kommen Sie bitte. Also wenn wir nicht selbst nochmals nachgefragt hätten, würden wir wahrscheinlich heute noch auf einen Tisch warten. Kein Schwein hat sich um die Gäste gekümmert! Es war ein absolutes Chaos. Keine Struktur und alle überfordert. Das nächste was uns geärgert hat, wir wollten alle Rouladen essen. Leider gab es am 1. Weihnachtsfeiertag um 14 Uhr schon keine mehr. Auch hier eine absolute Fehlplanung vom Restaurant. Sowas darf eigentlich nicht passieren. Desweiteren kam das Essen zwar flott an den Tisch und war auch qualitativ wirklich gut, aber das ich mein Bier 20 Minuten nach dem Essen erst bekam und das auch nur, weil ich nochmals danach gefragt hatte, ist eine absolute Zumutung und geht gar nicht. Desweiteren ist auch das Ambiente nicht gerade einladend gewesen. Alte Tische und Stühle und ständig stand die Eingangstür auf und es zog ungemütlich in den Gastraum rein und war kalt. Und nicht zu vergessen. Das Rumpsteak hat hier 25€ gekostet, die Pommes oder Bratkartoffeln haben nochmals extra 4,90€ gekostet, eine absolute Frechheit und gerade für solch einen Bauern-Laden nicht akzeptabel. Zum Schluss als wir dann bezahlt hatten und fahren wollten, stand zum krönenden Abschluss noch ein Idiot mit seinem Audi hinter uns und hat uns zugeparkt. Daraufhin ist jemand von uns ins Restaurant und hat dem Chef Bescheid gesagt. Dann stand ein Mann gelangweilt auf und sagte noch, wir parken hier immer so….das wäre normal! Was für ein dämliches Rindvieh, sorry ! Wir waren das letzte mal in diesem Kuhkaff und in diesem nicht zu empfehlenden Laden.

A rustic, beautiful restaurant with great food, extremely friendly service and good cider. If you love German cuisine and are a little hungry, this is the place for you.

We were here for the first time today and really loved it. The carving and roulades were really top... The whole staff was super friendly. We booked a new date straight away and are coming back with the whole family. We're already looking forward to it

Very tasty food. The venison goulash and the lukewarm chocolate cake are recommended. Unfortunately not the best parking situation.

We are a group of max. 12 men who have dinner there once a month. The innkeeper has held his ground through the difficult Corona period. All the waitresses are in great shape and can remember 10 meals without a note or computer. Rustic atmosphere, just like a village pub. Beautiful garden kept in steps.

We spontaneously made a reservation for 6 guests 45 minutes before arrival, were lucky and were even allowed to sit at the regulars' table. Every meal was very good, the meat was cooked to perfection. Very accommodating to the children, a big plus for that! Really generous portions at a fair price, we were almost ashamed that we hadn't finished them. Nice draft pilsner. What was a little annoying was; that the cold cigarette smoke from outside wafted towards us every time the door opened. Maybe you can set up a smoking area somewhere for the cool days to avoid this. We'd love to come back!

In the evening we had the corn plaice with fried potatoes, the plaice was cooked perfectly and the fried potatoes were hardly oily. We would like to come again. The only drawback is the parking situation.

Service, cider and food are simply top!

We were looking for a good home-style restaurant at very short notice where you can get a delicious schnitzel. Called at 6:30 p.m. and got a table for 7 p.m. This wasn't our last visit! We were warmly welcomed and the service was very friendly and accommodating. With the great and large menu, you didn't know what to choose at first, but you found what you were looking for. The side salad was already very tasty, but then the schnitzel we ordered came and it was delicious. Next time we'll try another dish.

I'm actually at home in Saarland and am now visiting relatives. We wanted to have a delicious meal and this was the right place!! Good home-style meal at affordable prices. Staff friendly and helpful, would love to come back. We recommend!!

Here you can really get dishes that are well made! There are the typical classics such as steak, schnitzel in various variations but also goulash and roulades. The side dishes must be ordered separately from the main course according to the menu and price list. In the classic restaurant guest room it can sometimes be louder because the noise level is reflected on all the walls. The parking situation is a bit difficult as there are hardly any parking spaces in the old people's home in the evenings.

A very good traditional restaurant with good old-fashioned cuisine. EVERYTHING is right here - ambience - friendliness - taste - portions - price... only the parking options are either a matter of luck or involve a walk across the village. Although the portions are definitely an advantage.

Love Ganz? Look no further. Delicious and well served. Book ahead is a must but well worth it. Also heavenly made Kaiserschwarm as desert is a must.

La nourriture est bonne, le cadre est agréable mais seules les cartes bancaires allemandes ou du cash sont acceptés… Étant français et de passage seulement pour une nuit, il aurait été préférable de nous prévenir avant de commander plutôt qu’au moment de l’addition, en nous faisant comprendre qu’on aurait dû s’en douter et demander avant. Le service n’était pas agréable non plus.

Wie immer sehr zufrieden! Typisches Land-Apfelwein-Lokal (in dem es auch Bier gibt....) Jetzt sind die Baustellen auf den umliegenden Strassen weg, da ist An- und Abreise wieder einfacher möglich.

Gutes und bodenständiges Essen. Bedienung war sehr freundlich und es ging auch recht schnell. Ambiente ist urig. Man merkt, dass es das Restaurant schon lange gibt und auf Tradition Wert legt. Findet man nicht mehr oft umso schöner, dass es das nicht gibt.

Wir kommen gerne wieder ! Das mir Bratkartoffeln ohne Speck und Zwiebeln zu langweilig waren ist mein Problem . Ist es ein Problem beides in der Küche dazu zu geben ? Dafür war die Sülze um so besser ! Sowohl Wirt als auch Serviererin haben uns überzeugt !

Die Parkplätze sind ,nicht nur wegen der Bauarbeiten ungenügend. Wenn überhaupt findet man weit ab etwas. Das Essen ist normal aber zu teuer. Cordon Bleu mit Pommes 18,50€ Zwiebelschnitzel Pommes 16,50€. Salat war nicht inkludiert. Das ist echt zu teuer. Wir waren dort bei einem Treffen, sonst wären nach dem Studium der Speisekarte gegangen. Unser Urteil .Keine ausreichenden Parkplätze, Preis für Speisen stark erhöht. Für uns nicht zu empfehlen

I know that place for more than 45years. ...and nothing has changed...traditional great German dishes, Apfelwein and an atmosphere to remember your grandparents that went there with you in the past. Love it.

Wir gehen hier öfter hin zum Essen. Bedienung und Service sind sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Besonders schön ist draußen der Biergarten im Sommer. Wir können einen Besuch auf alle Fälle empfehlen.

Sehr netter Service, gute Stimmung, sogar neue Gardinen, dadurch schon fast hübsch! Wirklich guter Feldsalat, gute Rumpsteaks, alle 4 gegart wie bestellt! Sogar der Kaiserschmarren gut, ein wenig mehr karamellisiert wäre noch besser. Einzig die Bratkartoffeln waren leider nix. Ein wenig bessere Kartoffeln sind nicht teuer, knusprig wäre auch gut. Aber insgesamt zufrieden, wir kommen wieder.

Einfach gut. Der "Grüne Baum" ist der Typ von Dorfgasthof, bei dem man sich freut, dass alles so ist wie immer. Einfache, aber gepflegte und gemütliche Einrichtung, ein gutes Bier (z.B. Allgäuer Büble Hell) oder ein selbst gekelterten Äppler, eine bodenständige gutbürgerliche Speisekarte, die für jeden Geschmack und Hunger etwas bietet. Die Produkte sind frisch aus der Region und von guter Qualität. Unser Rumpsteak war sehr schmackhaft, zart und genau auf den Punkt gebraten. Sehr leckerer und großer Beilagensalat. Aufmerksamer und sehr netter Service. Einfach zum Wohlfühlen.

Als Jäger habe ich den Hirschgulasch mit Klößen und Preiselbeeren gegessen und ich muss sagen, das war mit das beste Wild was ich bislang gegessen habe. Gut gekocht, lecker zusammengestellt und eine gute Portion. Jederzeit wieder. Meine Frau hatte die Gänsekeule und war auch sehr zufrieden. Was den ganzen die Krone aufgesetzt hat, war der Kaiserschmarren. Unglaublich gut - obwohl wir eigentlich schon satt waren. Der stellt selbst die Wirte in den Österreichischen Bergen in den Schatten. Das Lokal kann ich gerne weiterempfehlen.
