Iva's Croatian Grill & Bar in Bad Soden am Taunus

This place definitely deserves a good review. We were there with our RM Schlemmerblock (a German snack bar), and for the first time. We had called ahead and made a reservation. The waiter couldn't recommend the tap beer because it was too warm. We were happy to have ice-cold bottled beer instead. The food we ordered arrived surprisingly quickly, was beautifully presented, and absolutely everything was freshly prepared. The salad to start with was also very fresh and delicious. The pleskavitzka, here with veal and beef, was far better than at other Croatian restaurants. The processed sheep's cheese was also "real." The price is a bit higher, of course, but I'm happy to pay that. The quality and service are top-notch. You immediately feel very comfortable in this small, nicely decorated restaurant with a few outdoor tables in Bad Soden's quiet pedestrian zone. All in all, the trip was worth it, and we wish Iva's team all the best and hope they continue to cook such delicious meals for their guests. Good luck.

Nice little restaurant. The seating is relatively tight inside. The staff are very friendly. Because it's busy, there aren't always free tables. The staff member calls out to the table to ask how long people are staying so the next person can sit down. I found that a bit odd. Otherwise, the food was quite tasty, but it didn't really fill you up.

A truly great restaurant with a lovely outdoor terrace. The service is friendly, and the menu is very extensive, with something for everyone. I definitely recommend the fish and meat dishes.

There were three of us. The service was below par, overworked, and untrained. The wait time for drinks alone was 15 minutes. We waited another 30 minutes for food. Two people were served - baby calamari with spinach and potatoes. The third person got food - pepper schnitzel - when we were already finished. Salad was forgotten...and so was the bread. Both came within five minutes, one after the other. After the schnitzel, my cousin felt sick; we were still sitting there. Completely disappointed, we just wanted to pay and leave. The bill was not issued; the totals were written down on a notepad. Below par. According to the incompetent and untrained waiter, the head chef was on vacation. Folks, it's company holidays. This kind of thing ruins the good experiences of some customers. We will definitely not eat there again. The price-performance ratio is inadequate. Our recommendation is: avoid at all costs.

Comment: This is not possible with a gourmet block.... But only when the food is brought and not when you order it. A little tip: good service can be different! Positive: taste: very good. Hardly any waiting time. Price-performance: OK.

I can't understand the bad review about the waiting time. We're at the public viewing here today and it's packed outside. The service staff is super friendly! The food also arrived quite quickly, even though there is so much going on here! My colleagues and I also really enjoyed the food. In case the food isn't spicy enough, there are salt and pepper shakers on the tables.

Unfortunately, the restaurant has a rutted routine. Which is not recommended. Because the weather was great at the time of my visit and the terrace was full, the employees were completely overloaded. We were indoors. Unfortunately much too cold because of the air conditioning. Actually sick the next day. Unfortunately the taste of the food was very neutral. Unseasoned. Unfortunately, so did my companion. The waiting time for the food was unreasonable. You can blame everything here on the terrace operation. But summer is just beginning. More staff would prevent such a catastrophe. No recommendation !

Today we ordered a grill plate for 3 people. However, the grill plate was very weak, starting with the salad which had nothing to do with a Balkan salad, the pieces of meat were partly raw and not seasoned. The rice and dips didn't taste like they were homemade. The bread was not packed. For 80 euros I would have expected a lot more. But at least the fries tasted good

Ein ausgezeichneter ort zum genießen mit der Familie, das essen ist mehr als ausgezeichnet und die preise sind im gegensatz zu anderen korrekt. Auch wenn sie ein fan von ćevapčići und anderen gegrillten fleischsorten sind, ist dies der richtige ort für sie alle

Zahlungen mit Karte waren aufgrund eines Problems mit dem Gerät nicht möglich. Es wäre schön gewesen, wenn uns diese Information mitgeteilt hätten, sobald wir an unseren Tischen saßen. Das Essen war gut und die Atmosphäre sehr schön.

Ein toller Biergarten mitten in Bad Soden. Leider ist auch hier eine Klientel unterwegs, die ich nicht mag und nie akzeptiere

Mooie plaats om te eten op het plein, de jager snitzel was heerlijk maar met zeer weinig gebakken aardappelen. Zelf had ik een half gaare grilteller met weinig smaak. Beter even door lopen voor wat anders.

Wir haben uns ein Essen bestellt: plecavitza mit Pommes. das Essen war okay aber auch nicht mehr! Für 16 € total aber vollkommen überteuert !!! sag mal geht's noch? glaubt ihr wirklich dass ihr damit Geld verdienen könnt das kann man sich nur alle paar Monate leisten. früher hat man für eine plecavica 8-9 Euro bezahlt und hatte noch einen beilagensalat dabei.

Die waren am Anfang spitze und es ist immer noch gut - aber die Qualität schwankt zu sehr! Mein erstes Gericht: fantastische Aromen, die mir schon aus 2-3 Metern Entfernung entgegen kamen!! Die Wirtin ist die gute Seele des Restaurants - der Wirt kommt da nur fast mit.

Also ich kann nicht verstehen was manche hier schreiben wir waren zu 3 essen und alle drei Gerichte waren mega lecker und der Service super die erste Eigentümer sehr nett und zuvorkommend wir kommen aus Stuttgart dort gibt es auch kroatische lokale aber so gut wie hier habe vor ch schon lange nicht mehr gegessen und der Preis war auch gut ,weiter so .

Es ist halt klein und kein Restaurant. Aber das Essen ist dort wirklich gut 👍 und der Service war sehr gut und alle nett. Und die Portionen sind umfangreich. Preis und Leistung stimmen .

Kleines gemütliches Restaurant, das Essen war gut, und trotz Nachbestellung kam es ziemlich schnell mit allen anderen Essen. OK, die Pommes hätten knuspriger sein können, aber sie waren selbst gemacht und lecker.

ich war dort mit meiner mutter zum spontanen mittagessen und wir waren begeistert. das kleine restautant (grosser aussenbereich liegt etwas entfernt in der fussgängerzone, es war uns aber zu kalt) ist sehr gemütlich eingerichtet und wir wurden herzlich empfangen. wir bestellten beide die kalbsleber und wurden nicht enttäuscht. die leber war auf den punkt gegart und schmeckte phantastisch. die karte bietet neben kroatischen gerichten "deutsche hausmannskost", die preise sind absolut angemessen. ab kommender woche soll es auch einen mittagstisch geben - wir kommen auf jeden fall wieder!

Das Essen war sehr gut gut. Das Personal sehr nett und freundlich. Leider waren meine Fleischspiesse nicht ganz durchgebraten. Man hat sich dafür entschuldigt und einen leckeren Verdauungsschluck ausgegeben. Der Service war sehr schnell obwohl das Bedienpersonal immer 50 m laufen musste bis in das kleine Restaurant. Das war wirklich erstaunlich. Macht weiter so. Und sorry für die erste, falsche Bewertung.
