Longobardis in Frankfurt am Main

The food was really delicious and good. It was a nice little shop. Unfortunately, the wait for the food was very long.

The food was good, and the prices were still reasonable. The wines didn't impress me and didn't quite live up to the price. The ambiance was okay, but the air conditioning made it a bit rushed, and the background music was a bit intrusive. It's best to check it out for yourself.

If I happen to visit Frankfurt again, it must be for the carbonara in this place. A bit waiting but nice staffs that remember everything.

We visited this Italian restaurant on Thursday. I ordered the Gnocchi Sorrentina with tomato sauce for my main course. Unfortunately, I wasn't impressed by the dish: The flavor was rather unspectacular, and the portion was very small—my plate contained just eleven gnocchi. I had expected considerably more for a main course...

We met up with friends here. The food was delicious, but the price/performance ratio wasn't right. The waiter apologized, "Sorry, the chef isn't here." Sorry, but I have to pay full price for less than a child's portion. Maybe we'll come back again, because it was delicious.

*** UPDATE *** When I first visited this restaurant at the beginning of the year, I was fascinated by the intimate atmosphere of this lovely little Italian restaurant and, above all, by the truly delicious food 🤩 The restaurant has a prime location near the ECB and is right on the Main River. So, I was all the more curious to see what had changed in the eight months since my last visit. For comparison, I ordered exactly the same thing again: the fillet with truffles, and what can I say: it was already very good then, and this time it was simply – even better! 🤤 The meat was grilled to perfection, the sauce was simply to die for, and the fresh, homemade pasta, tossed in a Parmesan crust with fresh arugula and cherry tomatoes, was an absolute delight 🥩 Malek also served us freshly baked bread made from pinsa dough, a fantastic combination! But there was something else: the garlic cream with freshly shaved black truffle, equally delicious and with a subtle hint of garlic, which really fueled my anticipation of the steak 🔥🧄 Conclusion: I'd be happy to come back anytime! Next, I'll try your lunch menus – I promise! The service and communication is phenomenal and the food matches it. The filet almost dissolves in your mouth and the "Legend" pasta is alone worth the visit. Marco is attentive, communicative and made is feel at home and welcome. Definitely some of the best service of my life.

The good reviews had lured us in. However, the high prices are definitely not justified for the quality of the food and drinks. The drinks weren't cold enough, and the waiters had to be reminded several times about our orders. The carbonara and "The Legend" unfortunately lacked flavor, and the high price, even with the truffle, meant that the Parmesan cheese was poorly presented. Unfortunately, neither olive oil nor balsamic vinegar was served with the appetizer. When we asked, only the olive oil was served. Overall, neither the food nor the service are worth the price.

We are staying in the apartments connected to this restaurant and immediately came here after a long travel day checking in. We didn’t realize what an amazing culinary experience we walked in to!! The food was amazing - highly recommend “The Legend” with truffles as a side to the filet or veal or fish. The bread is amazing and a great way to start your meal. We literally canceled reservations at a Michelin Star restaurant to come here a second night. Thanks so much Marco!!

We decided to have a spontaneous meal at Longobardis and arrived before opening, but they kindly invited us in and offered us a drink. The food was absolutely delicious. We had vitello tonnato and burrata for starters and the veal medallions for the main course. The server was incredibly attentive and friendly. We highly recommend Longobardis to everyone. We'd love to come back 👍🏻

An Italian restaurant located in a hotel. I had pasta with lots of truffle mushrooms. It was a little salty, but delicious. The noodles were really delicious. I think it would be delicious even if I just ate the noodles. I think it would be even more delicious if I ate it with a group while having a glass of wine on the outdoor terrace.

This restaurant shows that Frankfurt's gastronomy is doing far too well. I can't recommend it to anyone. We went there for dinner a few days ago as a couple. The beer was lukewarm. The food took a while to arrive, but that was still reasonable. The two meals (one per guest!) arrived about 20 minutes apart, so we ended up sharing. The tomato salad with Kalamata olives consisted of hard, unripe tomatoes like you'd buy at Lidl in December (it was summer!), and the olives were blackened olives from a jar. There was no bread. The four "scampi" were Argentinian red shrimp, which are a different beast. They advertised expensive ingredients on the menu, but used the cheapest ones. The handmade tagliatelle, advertised as "The Legend," "tossed in a Parmesan wheel," was also very bad. The food wasn't salted enough. The tagliatelle was spaghetti, which obviously didn't appear to be handmade either. We didn't see the cheese wheel. The service was friendly and courteous, but it couldn't make up for the poor cooking and poor kitchen organization. It was very loud in the dining room, and the air was saturated with grease fumes.

Great restaurant with an outdoor area and attentive, courteous staff. I recommend the pasta dishes. The pasta is homemade and excellent. Be sure to make a reservation. The prices aren't cheap, but they're completely reasonable given the quality of the food. We shared a starter, a main course each, and a dessert. We also had four drinks, and the final bill came to almost €100 for two people. A wonderful evening with friends. 😃

Sensationally delicious pasta and very friendly service

Very delicious food – we had the pasta trilogy and it was excellent!!! The vitello tomato starter was also very good, but a bit small. Otherwise, the service was very friendly. But it wasn't exactly cheap. I would definitely come back.

I ate at this restaurant with my girlfriend. It was fantastic. We had the salmon with homemade pasta made from a Parmesan cheese. The young Italian owner was amazing, with a typically Italian charm. Right near the Main River, so you could stroll and digest afterwards.

Excellent Italian restaurant, very good dishes and friendly and kind owners! We stopped for dinner with our big dog and they even brought us a bowl for water! Recommended for dinner or lunch, even outdoors in the summer while visiting Frankfurt 😉

Spoiler: I only had the tiramisu. To their credit, it was made with eggs, but unfortunately, in my opinion, it was a bit too soft in consistency. The service was super friendly and nice.

I had the finest pasta here, along with a delicious ice cream sundae and a tyramensu. The wine was excellent, the service was very good, and the atmosphere was welcoming to Italy.

Unfortunately, my pasta arrabiata was very overseasoned. The burrata it contained was only 1/8 of a whole burrata. €19 is a bit much for that. My friend's carbonara was unfortunately very dry. The service was very nice. A very loud restaurant, but otherwise the atmosphere was nice.

The parm truffle pasta was wow and the service felt like family

The restaurant is located right at the river, with indoors and outdoors seating. We ordered a pistachio burrata pasta, the pasta was really good. And also a pizza to share. 5/5 for food and kind service.

It was a wonderful experience! My first time at Longobardi's. We had dinner there in a small group with good company. And that's exactly what I liked. Have you ever noticed that no matter where you go, everyone starts taking photos of their food and posting for Instagram and the like? That's absolutely not the case there – a wonderful crowd – the guests are serious, not a Gen Z crowd. The authenticity is reflected in Longobardi's cuisine. I haven't had such a delicious demi-glace in a long time, like the one the surf 'n turf was served with, not to mention the pistachio and burrata combinations. The pinsa had a flavor that reminded you of your vacation in Italy; it was truly heavenly. The dessert was amazing! Not too sweet and not too pretentious, simply perfect, and FINALLY, an espresso that didn't taste burnt. Yes, actually, it's worth mentioning for me – they make really great espresso. I can truly recommend this place to anyone who wants to enjoy authentic food in peace and quiet. I'm always happy to go to Longobardi's. A.M.

Nice restaurant with a beautiful terrace and friendly service. On our Saturday evening, there were just too many people there, and the waiting groups sang serenades very loudly. The prices are reasonable for the location; we also brought Aperol and wine.

I really enjoy Italian food, and since I'm often in Italy, I have certain standards for the dishes: The carbonara was very authentic, the pinsa pasta was very light and easy to digest (the dough had been left to rest long enough), and the buratta with pistachios was also unusual and delicious. I'd love to come back...❤️

I am absolutely satisfied with the service! I would particularly like to emphasize Can's friendliness and attentiveness - he really served us excellently and was always courteous and warm. The atmosphere in the restaurant was also great: cozy, stylish and inviting. And the food? Simply delicious! I'm very happy that we were served by Can - it makes visiting a restaurant really fun. Clear recommendation!

Unfortunately we were very disappointed. There are several reasons for this. It took 1.5 hours from ordering to serving. Two of the dishes were lukewarm (salmon and pasta). The wine and beer weren't cold enough. The taste of the food was ok. You had to add salt and pepper. However, that is a matter of taste. In general the taste of the food was not good. There were 10 of us and therefore the statement is quite valid. Whether it was the Vitello Tonnato, the Pasta Carbonara or the Pinsen. Everything was lacking in good taste. The rating was very misleading. The service also had to be reminded several times about drinks or food. Something was forgotten several times. The evening was still nice. Unfortunately we won't be coming back.

It took them more than a hour to serve the first courses. Size of portions is not worthy (the spcieal two person first course mix charged for almost 30 euro, was not enough even for one person). Bottom line: STAY AWAY...!

Long waiting time. Plates not picked up. Smoke throughout the place. Windows had to stay open even though it was cold outside. Food absolutely nothing special. Preferably avoid.

We reserved a table at 7:30 p.m., we received the food 1 hour 30 minutes later, most of the restaurant's customers complained of the same problem, "I want to see the chef we have been waiting for 1 hour", the manager accepts a lot of customers but is not able to satisfy their needs, apart from that, the waitress was very understanding of the situation and brought us bread to help us "pass" the time which seemed endless. Very unpleasant experience I absolutely do not recommend this restaurant.

The portions of the pasta were really tiny - especially if you had to wait an hour before anything to eat came. The service was just head-scratching: the store was full, but there were only two waitresses. And the waiter, a guy who didn't have a device or a notepad with him - he probably thought he could remember everything. Unfortunately it didn't work at all. I really don't understand why this store has such good reviews.

I ended up here by chance and I was served like a god.. really good starter, first course, second course and dessert, better than in Italy especially for the quality of the ingredients and the presentation of the dish.. then the owner (Lello) who went around the tables very courteous and attentive to the customer.. really kind and very nice.. in our group there were also a couple of intolerances and they catered to all our dietary needs.. top 5 stars out of 5😉

The food is delicious and not expensive. The price for 4 adults and 1 teenager was 145 euros. A 5 euro tip for the friendly staff and excellent meal. It's not a waste.

The service was a bit chaotic, but the food was incredibly tasty, the homemade pasta was absolutely great and the meat was to die for. This restaurant might not have the glitzy reputation that some others in Frankfurt do, but in my eyes, it will always be a place that holds a piece of my heart. If you're ever in the area, don't overlook it. The food is far too underrated, and the ambiance is just the right setting for any special moment.

Okay, but nothing special, not worth coming back to. The waitress was very pushy. Didn't even give us 2 minutes to look at the menu. When we said we needed more time, she asked again after 3 minutes and then again. I didn't have many truffles in the pasta (like Ms. 3 months ago in the reviews), so I used “the legend”. But I can't say the pasta was bad, but I can't say it was tasty either. In addition, the boss (I think he is the boss there) and the employees clarified something loudly for 5 minutes, which was disturbing.

I was in Bingen am Rhein as part of a training course. I stayed there at the weekend because it wasn't worth going to Bavaria. As a hobby photographer, I thought of visiting Frankfurt to take night/long exposures. That's how I came to this amazing restaurant. The landlord was very nice, and the waitresses were even nicer. Since I can't eat that much, I was promptly offered to pack the rest. If I come to Frankfurt again, I know where I will park and where I will 100% go to eat. Price performance more than tip top.

Best pizza and pasta I've ever eaten.

We went to the Longobardi restaurant for the first time on our wedding anniversary. It was really a very nice, relaxed visit to the restaurant... we had thought of a slightly larger location based on pictures and advertising, but that was irrelevant - because it was there to feel good. The lady in the waiter took care of us directly and was super attentive... the boss also came to the table and asked how things were going.
