Il Paradiso ristorante in Frankfurt am Main

As I've read from others, our pizzas were totally moist on the inside and basically matched the toppings. The edge was good and crispy. We decided not to have a wine because €6.40 for 0.2 liters of open wine is steep and the ambience doesn't justify it.

My husband and I have ordered from here several times and are absolutely impressed with the pizza here! It's a Neapolitan pizza, not a Romana pizza: so the crust is very fluffy and soft. No "cookie dough"!! We ate here after Christmas with my extended family-in-law from Sicily. Everyone was thrilled and said you can hardly find such good pizza in Italy!! Both the pizza and pasta here are highly recommended. Even though we had lots of children with us and we were very loud (as is the case in a large Italian family...), all the employees were super nice and the service was super nice and friendly. Compliments and keep up the good work!

Very inconspicuous from the outside. The staff is super nice and takes care of everything quickly. The food is simply delicious. Every time I'm in Frankfurt I'll eat there.

Original review: Extremely delicious pizza and pasta. If you order for pickup even on Saturday evening, wait a maximum of 15-20 minutes. Unfortunately, the restaurant inside and the seating area outside seem rather shabby. Edit: Unfortunately, developments are sad. Our last visit will not be followed by another one. The service staff seems increasingly disinterested and listless. You sit for 15 minutes until the card arrives and the table is cleared by those in front of you. It was only wiped off when asked again. The starter platter consisted of 3 types of sausage, some rocket and a mozzarella, the cheese and olives were completely missing. Some of the pizza dough was still raw. No questions asked if everything was okay or if you wanted any more drinks.

ONLY CONCERNS THE GLUTEN-FREE PIZZA AND SERVICE. We ordered online. The pizzeria can't do anything about the fact that it arrived cold, so I don't rate that either. But: the wrong pizza arrived! Which was super annoying, but maybe just happened on a Saturday evening. Only: the way it was handled is not working at all! I had to justify myself on the phone for 15 minutes. “It was a bufala where the cheese was melted.” (not even a bufala that goes back into the oven after delivery looks like that!) The only person who really tried hard was the service person who was called in to help because of his impeccable German. In addition: we were told on the phone that the gluten-free pizza dough would be made in-house. For this you have to accept an extra charge of €3. But it came with a floor from Schär (which you can always easily identify by the “dots” on the floor. It was the worst gluten-free pizza in all of Frankfurt, the frozen pizza tastes comparable, or even better!! 1€ surcharge, as far as I'm concerned. But €3?! I'm so so disappointed.

I recently ordered a pizza to pick up from this pizzeria and was unfortunately very disappointed. The pizza was overloaded with so many onions that it was almost impossible to eat. The dough was far too thick and still raw in some places - anything but enjoyable. I was particularly shocked by the lack of hygiene on site: while I was waiting for my order, I saw an employee who was responsible for cutting the pizzas blowing her nose right in front of me. She then put the tissue back in her pocket and then cut the pizza without washing her hands. Something like this is absolutely unacceptable and extremely unhygienic. I hope that urgent measures will be taken to improve hygiene here. Until then, I won't order pizza here again.

Bruschetta here consists of slices of pizza bread thrown on top of each other, tomato quarters and 2 leaves of basil thrown on top... what does that have to do with bruschetta? I would have expected such “bruschetta” in a Bavarian country restaurant..

I had ordered a table for several people, and when I ordered I had the impression that they didn't understand. On the day of the order I had to cancel due to illness (3 hours in advance), they were so unfriendly and told me that I had to cancel a day in advance. Next time it would cost me €10. Illnesses cannot be predicted. No matter how good the food is, you won't see me there. I think it's a shame to react like that. I don't know that from any Italian restaurant

Well below expectations. Pizza ok, but bruschetta which are not bruschetta but focaccia, and overcooked pasta. Environment reminiscent of an old, somewhat disused tavern but without the same atmosphere.

I can make it short... I've rarely had such a great pizza as I've had in this restaurant! Super tasty, super fresh, excellent dough and generous toppings! We were really excited! We'll definitely be back! The service was also very attentive and friendly and the price-performance ratio was simply great! Keep it up!!!!

I actually ate my most delicious pizza ever here. You can also order the pizza half/half. The staff is extremely friendly and attentive. Price-performance is also more than good. Given the good pizza, it wouldn't be a bad thing if it was 1-2€ more expensive.

I ordered Carbonara and it was absolutely amazing! I would make it bit more creamy if I was preparing it for myself, but that is just me. One of the best I had in a restaurant and comlletely unexpected in Frankfurt. Will come back next.tune to try more from their kitchen :)

Nice entrance area, but upstairs at the tables the atmosphere is a bit dull. Warm colors for the curtains and more comfortable, modern chairs would improve a lot. Service friendly. Unfortunately, my noodles weren't particularly tasty, even though the sauce was freshly prepared and the portion was filling. You could already eat it. Gluten-free pizza was small, toppings okay. Given the super good rating, we expected more. Of course it's positive that there are gluten-free options for pasta and pizza!

Top level Neapolitan pizza... would give 6 stars if I could.

Dirty, the service doesn't understand a word of German

New menu: We ordered spaghetti with carbonates and half-baked pizza. Spaghetti was very hard, difficult to chew, sticky and without sauce, dry. It seems as if the spaghetti has already been boiled a little, and when there is an order, they are once again plunged into boiling water. But they didn't believe it. The pizza was sticky, the dough was not baked, the cheese was not pleasant to swallow, everything was so bad. But the pizza was very fragrant. Unfortunately, we did not like it. Previously, you could order risotto, fish soup. The menu is much poorer. But the coffee is extremely tasty.

Small but cozy Italian restaurant. Grade 1, if there were tortellini still on the menu… then 1+. Wood stove, perfetto. Good pasta dishes. A manageable menu and yet something for everyone. Happy to recommend again. Card payment possible. ah and finally a good espresso… Viva Italia

A discovery. A little corner of Paradise. Delicious crunchy tasty pizza with top dough, we enjoyed it all including the edges. Highly recommended, we will return to enjoy a first course.

Bad as hell! We've tried it off and on since the change in ownership, but it's consistently been bad. Pizza is doughy on the outside and soggy on the inside and tastes like nothing. Plus it's full of cheese. Pasta wasn't a highlight either. You can't sit there anymore, there are bare metal tables outside with no sets, not even paper tablecloths. A 15 year old served, but of course with no idea about service. Too bad. Pedro's pizza was really good back then. Hopefully a new owner will come soon.

Super delicious food, especially the pizza. Very good products are used. BUT: It is better if you pick up the food and not eat it on site. Unfortunately the rooms are very unkempt. One young girl serving the entire store is far too little. I would always pick up the food but would definitely not eat on site anymore.

I've eaten pizza here several times and it tastes incredibly delicious. The prices are also very good for Frankfurt... It's a very relaxed atmosphere and everyone is always friendly - highly recommended!

Excellent Neapolitan style pizza!

Very tasty pizza with sweet and fluffy dough, traditional spagetti carbonara with egg and ham and appropriately spicy penne arrabiata. The location is right on the main street, but when the fire department isn't on duty, it's not a problem at all. I just sat outside on the artificial turf terrace in front of the restaurant. Only the service could be a little better. Very nice young women, but some things are forgotten or mixed up when ordering (pizza was missing at first, beer was accidentally non-alcoholic) or the bill is just placed on the table without comment. Not at all rude, but it suggests a lack of experience in dealing properly with guests. I'd still like to come back!

Great pizza, one of the best (if not the best) I've tried in Frankfurt. And as an Italia dude I tried many eheh. The service person was very kind and we spent a lovely evening with friends there. Pizza + 2 beers for 20€ was also quite cheap. Super recommended :)

By far the best pizza in Frankfurt. The prices for the taste are amazing. The pasta dishes are also delicious. Nowadays I actually only order there and then pick it up, as no delivery service gives me as much satisfaction as this pizza.

You often hear: This is where you get the best pizza in town, the ingredients are amazing, the owners are super friendly... Well, it's really like that here! A special pizza dough that is allowed to rest properly, tomato sauce perfectly balanced, a mozzarella that is second to none and the whole thing is prepared by an expert! More is not possible. The pizza goes into the wood-burning oven at the perfect temperature and is baked there with love. Don't forget the pasta dishes. Whether Bolognese, Arrabiata or Aglio e Olio; all of the finest. Thanks to the incredibly friendly service, you feel comfortable and in good hands. This is the pure Italian attitude to life! Very, very tasty:) I ordered to pick up at short notice and it didn't take 10 minutes but a little longer but I think it was a bit full. We've gotten something here a few times before, even when it wasn't that nice inside. You get super full, I prefer to eat half a Paradiso pizza with my girlfriend (it has a whole burrata on it) or, depending on how hungry you are, a margarita alone. I think it's best to call, ordering online sometimes doesn't work perfectly. If you eat there and it's a bit crowded, it can easily get chaotic. But it's so delicious here and so close to our apartment that we love coming. Definitely worth a recommendation👍

I ordered a pizza and pasta on Wednesday. The owner was super friendly, offered me an espresso while I waited and gave me something on the house. Very very tasty. The pizza is really good, we also really enjoyed the toppings and the pasta. The pizza bread was crispy. I'd love to come back :)

First of all, I've been living in Frankfurt Sachsenhausen since 1999 and have tried almost all the pizzas in Sachsenhausen Süd, back then with Amalfi or Roma. Now that Amalfi is gone and il Paradiso has moved in after Roma and Petro, I don't miss any of the pizzas of the past. Il Paradiso shows how authentic cuisine is done and manages to conjure up a happy face on the customer's face despite the somewhat outdated dining room and counter. The pizza was perfect for my taste, a great dough and a wonderful layer of toppings that left nothing to be desired. I love coming here and eating wonderful pizzas again and again. Every district wants something like Il Paradiso, because these restaurants are an enrichment for our district. Some people will of course argue that 14 euros is a lot for a pure salami pizza, but every bite tastes like a Paradiso ;). All in all, a successful visit. I would love to come here again and bring friends and relatives with me! Keep it up, keep it up!

Pizza was very tasty, my mother also really liked the minestrone. Unfortunately the ambience wasn't that nice as it was right on the main street and there was a bit of a smell coming from the cellar.

Pizza brutal, people super nice too, but unfortunately I can't recommend ordering by phone because my order was made incorrectly 4 times in a row and I then have to wait another 15 minutes each time until my order is made correctly. By far still the best pizza in Sachsenhausen and also a really nice place to eat, but ordering by phone should work, even if it's extremely busy on Sundays and public holidays. :) Of course I'll always come back - from now on I'll just order locally. Update: The order was also wrong the second time and unfortunately the staff had no insight and wanted to explain to me how to eat my pizza. I should also please never come back. Of course I will still come and give it another chance!

One of my new favorite pizzerias in Frankfurt. A bit old, you get great pizza and super friendly service here. Super attentive and we even got a starter and a nightcap on the house - unfortunately not a standard for a long time. Clear recommendation. The dough was great and they still use a real wood-fired oven here.
