Very small, very nice and “cucina a la casa” at its best. Chef cooks and serves. The best thing to do is to ask what he likes to cook today.

Incredibly good. I was in the Locanda for the first time today and was simply thrilled. Small shop, very familiar. Gianni runs the restaurant alone and cuts a wonderful figure. I had pasta with monkfish and it was excellent, with great antipasti and excellent wine on his recommendation. Definitely go! I'll be a regular.

I live very close to the restaurant, today I finally managed to visit it. I should have done this earlier because everything was wonderful and very, very tasty in a relaxed atmosphere!! I'll definitely come back!

We've celebrated here our Advent Party. It is a great cozy restaurant, where it feels like at home. The owner is an old and very cheerful grandpa from Italy. Enjoy it!

Very tasty food, everything fresh with cosy atmosphere

Wonderful little shop with freshly cooked and prepared food with a wonderful host. The restaurant is always worth a visit because there are different dishes on the evening menu every week. The menu consists of a starter, dessert and a main course.

We came here due to the incredible rating on Yelp and google. Both talked about authentic cheap Italian food. We love the vibe of that area and indeed the food is self-made with quality ingredients. The owner is lovely and we felt instantly connected. The menu is changing daily and locanda seems to have regular customers. What we didn’t like is that the owner introduced us to all his dishes and decided to put together some of his delicious food for us to try. We ended up getting a VERY all portion for two that didn’t even feed one person and paid 20€ which was way too overpriced and almost felt a bit ripped off. There were some dishes on the more pricey side that the owner did not add for us to try. Overall we’d come again if we want Mediterranean food but we will make sure to order specific dishes and not let the owner give us a sample plate or let us try a bunch of stuff.

j ai réservé une table pour 4 Personnes par téléphone pour 19heures .J ai parlé sur le répondeur automatique . J ´ai laissé mon numero au cas ou il n´y aurait pas de place disponible , comme exigée -uand nous sommes arrivés vers 19 heures noir nous sommes retrouvés sans place , sous pretexte de ne pas avoir eu de reservation- Nous sommes allés dans un autre établissement - Si c´est laa facon de se restaurant de traiter les clients, nous remercions le patron -

Klein und sehr atmosphärisch, 100% authentisch, ein unfassbar umtriebiger und dabei sehr freundlich-zugewandter Betreiber - Gianni... Und Gianni kocht, dass es eine Freude ist!

A place especially recommended for those who want to live the experience of eating in an Italian inn, which is now rare to find even in Italy, where you can taste real home cooking. Mr. Gianni is a very nice and entertaining man who also acts as a waiter! Will definitely come back.

The place had its doors open and it was cold so the food arrived lukewarm. They do not accept credit cards to pay for amounts less than €100. The normal pizza.

Heutige Erfahrung in diesem Lokal: Völlig überteuere, sehr kleine Portionen von durchschnittlichem Geschmack, serviert von einem Wirt, der gute Stimmung verbreitet und ordentlich kassiert. Wir hatten zu zweit je eine sog. Antipastiplatte, bestehend aus 3!!! Zutaten: 3 kleine eingelegte Artischocken, Kleinstportion gebratener Pilze und ein wenig Auberginenpürre, je ein Pastagericht aus 2 kleinen Pastaportionen + 2 winzige Stücke Fleischragout und 2 winzige Fischstückchen von je ca. 30 Gramm), dazu 0,75 einfachen Wein und eine Flasche Wasser. Dazu Brot von minderer Qualität, auf dem Tisch kein Öl, kein Parmesan zur Pasta. Wir konnten's kaum fassen, dass die Rechnung 95 Euro betrug. Sehr schade, denn sowohl das kleine Lokal als auch der Wirt sind sehr originell, und man kann auch nett draußen sitzen. Aber Preis/Leistung stimmt gar nicht.

Jedes Mal, wenn ich die Locanda besuche, bin ich positiv überrascht. Gianni (der Besitzer und verantwortlich für die besten italienischen Gerichte in Berlin) empfängt seine Gäste mit Freundlichkeit. Die Atmosphäre ist gemütlich und duftet nach Italien - Kräuter, Tomaten, Olivenöl... Die Gerichte sind köstlich, und ich beginne am liebsten mit den von Gianni zubereiteten Vorspeisen des Tages, begleitet von einem Glas Wein. Ich empfehle dieses Restaurant allen: denjenigen, die allein ein köstliches Abendessen genießen wollen, Familien, Paaren, kleinen Veranstaltungen.

Amazing small family run Italian restaurant with top quality ingredients and a charming host. You would have to pay a lot more for this quality food elsewhere.

Ehrlich, lecker, familiär, leicht chaotisch und trotzdem liebenswert. Ein wirklich sympathisch kleines italienisches Restaurant mit einem wunderbaren Gastgeber. Wir wurden definitiv nicht enttäuscht und freuen uns schon auf unseren nächsten Besuch. Grazie mille per la splendida serata.

Senza dubbio CASA. Gianni e’ una carezza e fa la differenza nel mondo, così come la sua cucina. Onesta, intensa, veramente italiana. E’ stata una fortuna incontrarlo: fatevi un favore, venite a trovarlo. Sarà un’avventura meravigliosa e irripetibile. Gli si vuole bene.

Ich kann das gute Essen hier gar nicht Worte fassen. Ich bin bei Gianni sehr oft mit unterschiedlichen Freunden zum Essen und er liefert uns jedes Mal ein kulinarisches Erlebnis! Fast alles von ihm und seiner wundervollen Frau selbst gemacht. Man sieht immer die Liebe zum Detail! Sie sind immer bemüht eine Vielfalt der italienischen Küche zu präsentieren, so dass ich als Vegetarierin immer auf unterschiedliche Geschmäcker komme! Die Preise haben sich durch die aktuelle Lage etwas gehoben, was leider in vielen Restaurants der Fall ist. Ansonsten kann ich nur Freude und Dankbarkeit, so ein fantastisch Restaurant in meiner Nähe zu haben, mitteilen. Danke für die beste Verköstigung in Berlin!

Very basic, not many dishes available

Das Essen war leider wirklich nicht gut. Allein die Tatsache, dass das Olivenöl von Lidl war, spricht Bände. Weder Vor- noch Hauptspeise haben gemundet. Service war ok, weil das Betreuungsverhältnis bei 1 zu 2 lag. Lag auch daran, dass sonst niemand im Restaurant war. Verstehe die anderen Bewertungen nicht. Kann ich echt nicht empfehlen dieses Etablissement.

Wir wurden sehr herzlich begrüßt und die ganze Zeit über mit Leidenschaft bedient! Gianni macht die Speisen selbst. Alles hat hervorragend geschmeckt, perfekt gewürzt. Würden wir in Berlin leben, wäre das unser neuer Stammitaliener! P.S.: der Primitivo ist Spitzenklasse

Ein wunderbares kleines Restaurant mit authentischen Besitzern, die pure Lebenslust ausstrahlen. Man wird direkt davon angesteckt. Toppen kann dies nur noch das Essen, welches klasse schmeckt. Es wird frisch zubereitet und mit viel Liebe serviert. Wenn wir noch einmal in Berlin essen gehen, dann hier!

Nettes, kleines italienisches Lokal. Gianni der Besitzer kocht alleine leckere Gerichte. Sehr tolle Anti-Pasti, selbsgemachte Pasta , gute Weine. Sehr kleines Lokal mit drei Tischen.

Meraviglioso! Siamo sempre scettici ad andare in ristoranti italiani all'estero, ma questa volta ci siamo assolutamente ricreduti. Cucina deliziosa, ambiente intimo e Gianni, l'oste, che ti fa sentire a casa dopo pochi minuti. Grande cura nella scelta dei vini e degli ingredienti, menù fresco ogni giorno, fanno di questo locale un'esperienza unica che difficilmente abbiamo incontrato altrove. Nei 7 giorni in cui siamo stati a Berlino ci siamo tornati due volte. Assolutamente consigliato!

Locale piccolino ma estremamente carino... Atmosfera molto accogliente e poi c'è Giovanni che è un grande matador sia dei fornelli che dell'intrattenimento culinario... Li non si va solo a "mangiare", ogni pasto è "un'esperienza".

È proprio vero. La prima sensazione che ho avuto quando sono entrato in questo angolo d'Italia, mi è sembrato davvero di sentire gli odori della cucina di casa. Un plauso va a Giovanni, che con grande passione e amore cerca costantemente di trasmettere un po' di calorosa italianità nella fredda Berlino!

Wer Perfektionismus im hippen Ambiente sucht ist hier falsch. Die Gäste "leben" hier auf wenigen Quadratmetern zusammen. Irgendwie bildet man schnell eine solidarische Gemeinschaft. Es ist fast so, als würde man in´s Wohnzimmer einer fremden Familie eindringen und würde sofort integriert werden. Und die Mama stellt leckere Sachen auf den Tisch. Macht richtig Spaß und die Preise passen.

Ein super authentisches kleines Restaurant mit einem liebevollen und super gelaunten Inhaber dessen Art das Essen zu einem besonderen Erlebnis macht. Die Preise sind absolut fair und das Essen schmeckt einfach super! Wir kommen wieder! Vielen Dank für den schönen Abend!

Ottima cucina irpina, a pochi passi dal Ku'dam. Ringraziamo Gianni che incontreremo in occasione di ogni futuro viaggio a Berlino. Di famiglia berlinese, conosco molti altri ristoranti italiani a Berlino. Alcuni 100% falsi, altri ottimi. Consiglio questo. Attenzione alle recensioni dei non italiani, un tedesco normalmente a casa propria ha una cucina non interessante e puo' trovare ottimi dei sassi. E' difficile trovare a Berlino cucina piu' genuina di questa.

One of the best experiences I had in Berlin. The menu looked poor and doesn't have many options. But we went for the three entree choice which we get three courses that Giovanni cooked himself. Very delicious and extremely delicious rewarding food from his region in Italy.

The food was absolutely amazing and very authentic. The service was a bit abrupt and slow (short-staffed today) but it was obvious the owner was committed to serving high quality food. A simple, casual and delicious place to stop for great italian food in Berlin.

I went to this restaurant twice. For the first time, I walked into it by accident in a cold rainy day. The owner made me a pasta and it tastes great. I noticed that the food is served on a cheap plastic plate, while on other tables they are served with nice porcelain bowl. I thought maybe it’s just because I ordered a pasta and they didn’t. For the second time that I went to this restaurant, I ordered a pasta again. Still it tastes good. Later a couple came in and sat next to me. The lady ordered the same thing. The difference is that her pasta was served in a nice porcelain bowl, but mine was just like the first time, on a plastic plate with tacky prints. This time I don’t think it’s coincidence. In his eyes, I only deserve a plate like that. What’s more, he surcharged me 1.2 euro both at the first and the second time. On the menu it says 10.5 euro, but he actually charged me 11.7 euro. After I pointed out, he then deducted part of the surcharge. Food is good. But I would never ever go there.

Sehr authentische Küche aus Apulien, urige Stimmung wie zuhause. Der Chef kennt Pepe Zullo aus seiner Heimat; auch das verbindet.

Un vero e proprio gioiellino sul Kudamm. Gianni ci prepara dei piatti tipici del sud Italia con grande maestria, cortesia e simpatia. Nel locale si respira un'aria familiare e molti sono i clienti che dopo esserci stati ci ritornano immancabilmente. E' un piccolo spazio di cucina di alta qualità in mezzo a tanti ristoranti italiani fake, in questo posto troverete alta qualità abbinata a originalità. Ottimi i piatti a base di pesce e la pasta che richiamano la scuola napoletana ma anche i salumi e i formaggi che provengono rigorosamente dall'Irpinia.

Weg von dem Einerlei der italienischen Restaurants hin zur Individualität. Die Karte ist klein aber, wenn möglich, wird einem das gekocht, was man sich wünscht. Es ist definitiv ein tolles Erlebnis, hier zu essen. Sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Dieses Lokal kann man nur empfehlen. Ich werde hier Stammgast!

Bello vedere Luigi Panzetta al secolo GINO, esperto di arte culinaria e conoscitore/studioso dell’Irpinia, proporre una cucina eccellente con prodotti tipici. Un mago.

Ich war ein paar als mal in der Locanda, sowohl privat, als auch geschäftlich. Der Laden ist : klein , die Auswahl ebenso , aber was der Wirt, auf den Tisch zaubert ist wie bei Mama, Wer es formal und 0815 mag , sollte lieber wo anders essen gehen. Ich habe mich immer wohl gefühlt.

Esperienza fantastica...Gianni è un ottimo e simpatico “padrone di casa”. Si perchè quella che si respira in questo caratteristico locale è aria di casa e di famiglia.
