No restaurant for young widows! As a single person, I politely asked for a table and said I was alone. They looked and then gave me a table. I ordered my meal, which is really very good and when I was finished I wanted to end the evening of course. It's not like I go out to eat all the time. This is of course something special that you treat yourself to. And for me, it was the first time I tried to do it all on my own. Now when I ordered another drink I was asked how long I wanted to stay because there was already a couple walking around who had reserved the table. There was no sign and no one told me that I only had 45 mini I have time to “complete” my visit to the restaurant. I was so angry, of course I didn't want to drink anymore! I had already chosen something for dessert, but wanted to let the main course sink in first. Well, my very first lonely visit to a restaurant, which was supposed to be good for me and help me treat myself, turned into a disaster! Of course I wanted to pay immediately and then left without a word! What kind of service is this?? They could have told me that the table would be reserved from xxpm and let me decide for myself whether I still wanted the table. But instead throwing me out of the restaurant after 45 minutes is an outrage! As a young widow, what did I take away from this evening? Going to a restaurant alone is just cruel! So I guess all I have left is the couch... like usual. You should be ashamed of this “service”! No matter how good the food tastes, the customer is king and should be treated as such!

This has been my favorite Italian restaurant for years. We have now moved a little further away and still go to Steglitz at least twice a month just to be able to eat here. Every birthday is celebrated here! We are thrilled! Not just from the food, but also from the great service and the warmth of the owner and the team. We can fully recommend Sale e pane!

The food was very good. It is rare that we go out to dinner and everyone likes what they ordered. The service was nice, we sat outside and enjoyed a very nice dinner in the warm summer weather. My salad con pollo was very good.

Sale e Pane is just a great place! As a regular customer, I can say that the quality of the food is always excellent. The food is always freshly prepared and incredibly tasty. The selection of dishes is varied and there is something for every taste. I would particularly like to highlight the incredibly friendly staff. The team is always friendly, accommodating and makes you feel welcome. The boss and his wife always have a smile on their faces and manage to delight every guest with their warmth. Whether for a quick snack or a leisurely meal with friends - Sale e Pane is my first choice. Absolutely recommended!

Formerly one of the best restaurants in Steglitz. Unfortunately some of the quality has been lost today. I really enjoyed eating the pepper steak here, but I've been disappointed the last three times. Supplements no longer convince me. Just some standard vegetables, previously very tasty dressed leaf spinach. Pepper sauce was lumpy, for me it used to be one of the best cognac white wine sauces in Berlin. For the meat, the fillet was replaced with rump steak. Used normal mozzarella instead of buffalo mozzarella for the starter. Unfortunately, you can see the cost-cutting measures and it's a shame that the restaurant is developing like this.

Very nice and friendly atmosphere, the service was perfect the waiters was very friendly always in service when you call and the food was very very delicious. I will always go there and have my dinner with friends. Try and visit there and you will love it.

Great Italian restaurant in Steglitz! Very tasty food, extremely good service and a great atmosphere inside and outside. All at very moderate prices. A highlight on every one of our Berlin trips! Same again today. Aperitif, antipasti, "just a (very good) pizza", dessert and espresso... a successful evening outside in the summer evening weather... Booking a table is recommended. Even if we were lucky today and were able to enjoy it without a reservation.

Pizzas are usually OK, pasta depends, antipasti plates absolutely not.

I was there spontaneously with a friend. Despite the bad weather, we sat outside in the covered area. Decorations and the overall presentation were very inviting. The service was very courteous and friendly! Unfortunately, I found the food to be a bit bland, but there were definitely options for seasoning. I had salmon fillet, which was really tender. My girlfriend ordered pizza, which she thought was okay. For the price/performance ratio you can't complain! Therefore 4 stars from us!

We were there twice. Pasta with truffles was excellent. Also the pizza. But the chicken salad tasted like fish. Why? A query about this did not result in a clear answer... so this time the food was only rated 3 *. Otherwise it would have been 5*...

The food was excellent. We each ordered a tomato soup first, followed by two really delicious pasta dishes. The restaurant is a family business where the owner embodies and radiates what the shop offers. Namely a touch of Bella Italia in the heart of Steglitz. Fine. Continuate so.

A magical team. We were there with a toddler and it was great to see how, without us even saying anything, it was a given that his food came first. In addition, the pizza was specially shaped and you interacted with the little one throughout. The dishes are delicious and the price-performance ratio is good. The team is wonderfully warm and absolutely accommodating.

the salmon tasted like refrigerator, the saice was not even creamy, my partner got the calamarini that tasted like rubber, the pinnot Grigio we order was bottom shelf, even though it was advertised as one of the best choices, overall terrible italian food, not authentic, will not come back

One of my favorite restaurants. The guys are so friendly, take care of everything and make you feel really comfortable there. We have been guests for several years and it is an experience every time!! Thanks for that!!

With my more expensive truffle pasta, I would have expected homemade pasta and not store-bought...otherwise the sauce was delicious and the truffles were fresh. Personally, I think it's important that higher quality noodles are served with it. It's a shame, but it was worth a try. The ambience is ok and the waiters were nice.

Leckeres Abendessen mit der Familie, auch mit Gerichten außerhalb der Karte. Je nach Wahl und Essgewohnheit lieber noch eine Vorspeise mit dazu wählen. Ambiente und Service 1a! Gerne wieder.

Im Sale e pane wurden wir herzlich von einem freundlichen, um die 50 Jahre alten, Italiener begrüsst. Er war aufgestellt und machte Spässe. Zur Vorspeise bekamen kostenlose Focacia und Oliven offeriert. Die Pizza war ausserordentlich lecker und liess sich definitiv mit dem Preis vereinbaren. Die Lachstagliatelle waren nicht schlecht, wir hatten jedoch auch schon bessere. Der "hausgemachte" Aperol allerdings war ausgezeichnet und sehr empfehlenswert. Nach dem Essen wurde uns ein Schnapps auf das Haus angeboten. Der Besuch im Sale e pane überzeugte also auf ganzer Linie. Herausstachen die Pizza und die fruendlichen Kellner. Jeden Fall einen Besuch wert!

Das erste Mal dort gegessen. Alles war große Klasse 👍. Das Ambiente ist sehr schön: stilvoll, modern & italienisch. Wir saßen im Wintergarten. Der Service wirklich zuvorkommend, freundlich & herzlich. Nicht aufgesetzt. Wir aßen die Kalbsleber. Diese war super gut. Sehr zart. Die Portionen sind ordentlich und nicht zu klein.

Wir saßen zu fünft ziemlich eingequetscht in der Ecke auf der Terrasse draussen. Das hat uns sehr gestört,denn als die großen Teller kamen( vereinzelt noch mit zusätzlichem Salat),war der Tisch so voll,dass man sich wie im Flugzeug fühlte. Die Tische sind so eng gestellt,dass man notgedrungen dem Nachbarn auf die Pelle rückt und jedes Gespräch mitbekommt. Also gemütliches Ambiente ist da nicht soviel aufgekommen. Im Innenbereich ist es übrigens nicht viel anders.Die Bedienung war recht schnell,aber das war's dann auch schon. Das Essen war sehr lecker und frisch,aber auch nichts Weltbewegendes. Alles in allem war es auch ein sehr kostspieliger Abend ( Risotto für 22€ hatte ich auch noch nie😵‍💫😵‍💫😵‍💫) Ansonsten ist es ein sehr nettes Restaurant und bestimmt werden wir auch Mal wieder kommen.

Very delicious food and excellent service, a little more on the pricy side but very much worth it.

Das Restaurant hat zwar ein nettes Ambiente aber das Essen konnte geschmacklich nicht überzeugen. Auch war der Kellner etwas hochnäsig. Hat wahrscheinlich ein schlechten Tag erwischt. Es war auch ziemlich voll. Letztendlich für mich aber keine Wiederholung dort.
