Locanda Riva in Hamburg

We reserved a table for 6 p.m. and got one. Drinks were ordered immediately, and the menu was set up right away. We ordered three appetizers and four main courses. The food was perfectly fine, but due to the restaurant's limitations, the whole process took over two hours. That's completely unacceptable. Won't be back anytime soon.

Yesterday, we celebrated my husband's 65th birthday with 20 people at your place. Everything was wonderful. There were two other events that day with lots of people. The a la carte food was fantastic. The service was impeccable. Friendly, attentive, and special requests were accommodated. I'd actually like to give more 🌟. Thank you, thank you. We'd love to come back. See you soon.

Good Italian food in a nice atmosphere

The customer's requests were ignored. Liquid balsamic vinegar was not brought despite repeated requests. Instead, only balsamic cream was served, which had to be supervised and was then immediately cleared away. The request for garlic on the pizza was also not fulfilled, despite the server's promise. And in the end, the bill was for a different type of dough, even though the final bill was explicitly denied when ordering!

Food was average, service was excellent, and the atmosphere outside was great!

So... Carbonara - since you're asking if it's "Italian" - for the portion, use 20g Pecorino, 20g Parmigiano, 2 egg yolks, 2-3 slices of Guanciale or Parmicale. Fry the bacon (DO NOT fry it all the way through!!). Save the fat and let it cool slightly, then remove the bacon from the pan. Stir the fat, egg, and cheese until creamy. Using a ladle of pasta water, separate the bacon from the liquid, add the pasta, toss well, add the egg-cheese mixture, and stir constantly (1-2 more ladlefuls of pasta water) until creamy... Add a lot of pepper, then stir in the (not dry) bacon - finito! I'm usually super happy with your recipe, but the Carbonara was awful.

I ordered two white wine spritzers and one antipasti. The surprise came when the bill came. The waiter had arbitrarily decided to serve a double portion without being asked. His attitude was, "One portion probably wouldn't have been enough." That's not acceptable!!!!! My upbringing persuaded me to pay the bill, even though I wasn't happy about it. The waiter didn't announce it beforehand. My companions confirmed this. I won't be visiting this restaurant again and therefore can't recommend it to anyone!

very nice southwest location directly on the water

On sunny days, it's really nice to sit outside by the water. The food and wine are well-chosen, with good, chatty service. The bruschetta on the antipasti plate came with avocado, which I particularly enjoyed. I'm curious to see if it's as good on my second visit.

Great Italian restaurant right on the Bille! Delicious dishes, cater to your wishes and intolerances and the service is simply great! In summer it is particularly beautiful outside on the terrace.

We ordered an anti-pasti starter, spaghetti bolognese and penne with spinach and cream. Everything was super tasty and appetizingly prepared despite the delivery tray. The home-baked bread and the specially packaged fresh Parmesan were a nice surprise.

Unfortunately no longer recommended. Pizza was extremely poor, gnocchi were soft and more like potato dumplings. The salami on the pizza was too greasy for me, it wasn't worth the extra charge for the authentic dough. For me the pizza had the character of a delivery service. The antipasti plate at the beginning was good, but not cheap compared to the main courses. Vitello Tonnato absolutely recommended! Unfortunately still only 2 out of 5 for the food. We were very disappointed. Service and ambience, however, were absolutely good, just a bit cold in the dining room. The Locanda Riva will definitely get another chance. The deviations from the other ratings indicate an outlier.

It was such a pleasure to be a guest here on Boxing Day! The service was so attentive and full of love, something you rarely see these days! The quality of the food was outstanding! One of the nicest Italian restaurants in Bergedorf, the food is great, the service is excellent and always friendly and cheerful. We always feel very comfortable. The most beautiful place is on the terrace near the shore.

A very attentive service didn't let us evaporate and we had great recommendations. By the way: It's nice and funny to watch some canoeists. Not crowded in the afternoon and a tip for those who prefer something quieter.

Just around the corner of the historic mill in Bergedorf/Hamburg you wouldn’t expect a restaurant like this! The Italian owner is very friendly, the menue is written on a blackboard that the owner brings to your table. Just as in good old Italian tradition. I tried one of the “Flamm-Pizza” and it was more than delicious. Prices are very fair.

Great view. Pizza ok, but only average even with the special pizza dough. Terrible tablecloths on actually nice tables. Give camping character. Service was nice, but frequent greetings like “Dear Ones” were rather inappropriate. Not very well maintained atmosphere. Pizza was served by the chef wearing a grubby apron.

My wife and I celebrated our wedding at Locanda Riva in January and it was a really good decision. The whole team responded to our every wish right from the start and did everything they could to make the day unforgettable for us. We had a perfect day with delicious food and received a lot of positive feedback from our guests regarding the service and the food. We can only recommend the restaurant and advise everyone to celebrate or pay a visit to Locanda Riva. Once again, many thanks to the entire team!

I didn't eat there, but I ordered something from Lieferando. I had eaten vitello tomato for the first time the day before and loved it and really wanted to eat it again, then I saw the restaurant and thought I had to try it. Then came the salmon pasta, although I thought the pasta delivered could be bent but it was a dream, always happy and also in the restaurant, that made me want more. Now I'm ashamed, I normally only tip restaurants I don't know and that deliver to me €1.50 like today, but it would definitely have been worth more and would have been justified, the delivery person was very friendly and personable.

I was at Laconda Riva for the first time today. They were very friendly when we made the reservation over the phone. Today we were warmly welcomed and served courteously! We ordered homemade ravioli in butter and sage, penne with strips of roast beef and a flambé pizza with tuna. Everything was very tasty and rich, and the price was absolutely right! The service is excellent. The very good espresso at the end rounded off the positive picture! The location directly on the Bille is beautiful. The restaurant is newly renovated and comfortably decorated in warm colors. The only thing I didn't like was the wooden chairs; there are perhaps more comfortable seats. However, this can be neglected in the great overall picture! This restaurant is definitely recommended, we will definitely come back!!!!

Heute dort den Mittagstisch ausprobiert in unserem Urlaub. Schöne Plätze direkt an der Bille. Super netter Service und aufmerksame Bedienung.Hygieneregeln wegen Corona wurden eingehalten. Es wurde alles genau erklärt und auch Sonderwünsche erfüllt. Es hat uns sehr gut geschmeckt. Absolute Weiterempfehlung !!!

Einfach großartig. Das Restaurant hat eine nette Terrasse an der Bille, das Personal ist sympathisch und mit Leidenschaft dabei und das Essen ist hervorragend. Klare Empfehlung!

Włoska restauracja w centrum dzielnicy Bergedorf z tarasem wychodzącym na rzekę Bille. Wspaniałe risotto w które włożono dużo serca i salsicci. Wyborna cieniutka margherita z oliwą ze świeżej bazylii. Burrata i przystawki warte polecenia. Ciekawy zabieg z kartą wypisaną na wysokich tablicach, którą kelner przynosi do stolika.

Einfach nettes Ambiente. Ruhig, sonnig und gemütlich. Und der Chef ist unwiederstehlich und immer hilfsbereit. Und Achtung... Dort schwimmen keine großen Ratten. Sondern Nutria... Harmlose Vegetarier... Leider sehr zutraulich... Trotzdem besser aufs Essen konzentrieren und nicht füttern... 😡

Super netter Service, sehr leckeres Essen...egal ob Vorspeise , Pizza oder Dessert...uns hat alles sehr gut geschmeckt. Wir hatten online reserviert , hat alles super funktioniert.

Wir sind hier immer mehr als zufrieden! Toller sympathischer und zuvorkommender Service, ein toller Ausblick auf die Bille und kulinarisch ein Traum. Wir werden noch sehr oft wiederkommen.

Nach der sehr schlechten Erfahrung vom letzten Mal, habe ich heute einen simplen Klassiker bestellt : Spagetti Bolognese! Es war ein Desaster! Das Essen schwamm in Öl, unvorstellbar. Das Restaurant hat eine tolle Terrasse, schön wäre es, wenn man jetzt auch noch einen Koch einstellt.

Von außen wirkt das Lokal zunächst unscheinbar. Auch der Eingangsbereich irritiert vorerst, da man mehr oder weniger direkt in die Küche kommt, welche sehr strukturiert von einem Koch bedient wird, welcher uns freundlich begrüßte. Wir wurden schließlich von einem Kellner in Empfang genommen, welcher uns nach unten in den Esssaal brachte. Uns bedienten 2 Kellner mit sehr viel Humor, super aufmerksam und zuvorkommend und dabei nicht aufdringlich. Genau so wie man es sich wünscht. Das Essen war zudem durchweg auf den Punkt (mein Freund und ich hatten jeweils 3 Gänge). Auch das vor dem ersten Gang angereicht Brot mit Kurkuma (Hausgemacht) war sehr lecker und mal etwas anderes. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder und können das Lokal zu 100% weiter empfehlen. Jeder Mitarbeiter wirkt hoch motiviert und ist mit Freude bei der Arbeit.

Burrata mit roter Bete - sehr schöne Kreation. Pasta on Point mit einer wirklich tollen Sauce. Ebenso das selbst gebackene Oregano Brot, auf dem auch der Bruschetta serviert wird. Aufmerksamer Service. Preis - Leistungsverhältnis stimmig. Gemütliches Ambiente, das bestimmt im Sommer am Wasser noch schöner ist.Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder.

Ich greife sparsam zu Superlativen, doch hier stimmt der Service rundum und erhält das Prädikat hervorragend (Ja, hervorragend ist kein Superlativ, doch sei er quasi als solcher gemeint für den Bereich Bergedorf ;-) . Die Lage direkt an der Bille lädt zum Verweilen ein. Ob mit einer Gruppe von Freunden oder mit der Liebsten, das Locanda Riva fühlt sich immer wie ein kleiner Urlaub an. Das Essen ist sehr guter italienischer Standard. Ich mag das Restaurant nicht - ich liebe es. Weil mich jeder Besuch dort mitten ins Herz trifft, verdient es für mich die Bezeichnung "Lieblingsitaliener." Wo wir dann nun doch beim Superlativ angekommen sind.

En general, nos decepcionó porque este restaurante italiano tiene una muy buena calificación en TripAdvisor. Los entrantes eran buenos y sabrosos, pero el carpaccio de mi esposa estaba congelado en el medio del plato. Las causas principales fueron una decepción, tuvimos pasta con salmón. La pasta no tenía sabor y definitivamente no era casera y el salmón era anónimo. La salsa tampoco se hizo desde cero. Si vas a un restaurante italiano, al menos la pasta y la salsa deben ser caseras. El plato de pasta no tenía asparges (que estaba en el meny) y el vino estaba demasiado caliente. Defenetly espacio para mejorar, sin embargo, los precios varían bastante.

Immer wieder gerne. Tolles italienisches Essen in spannenden Variationen. Ich bin jedes mal begeistert. Freue mich auf den nächsten Besuch.

Klare, authentische Küche, freundliche Bedienung Wir waren uns nicht einig, welcher Italiener es in Bergedorf sein soll und haben uns auf die Bewertung in Tripadvisor verlassen. Ein Volltreffer! Wir haben unseren Italiener hier gefunden, kommen ganz sicher wieder.

Bei Traumwetter draußen auf der Terrasse gesessen in einer tollen Atmosphäre mit Blick über die Bille . Die Bedienung war super nett und kompetent. Später kam noch der Chef zu uns, und erklärte uns sein selbst angebautes Olivenöl aus Apulien. Die Speisen waren vorzüglich. Preis Leistung ist sensationell.

Wer authentisch angerichtetes italienisches Essen mag, ist hier genau richtig. Top Service, perfekte, handgemachte & frische Speisen und dazu der Wirt Franco, der immer einen passenden Spruch bereit hat. Wir hatten zuerst in der Karte gestöbert, aber uns dann doch überzeugen lassen, ein frei zusammengestelltes Menü zu probieren. Gute Wahl - das war wirklich der Hammer! So stellt mach sich einen netten Abend vor. Und das in Bergedorf! Auch die Weinkarte ist bestens sortiert. Wir kommen gern wieder !

Durch Zufall dieses Jewell in Bergedorf entdeckt. Hamburg ist zwar mit italienischen Restaurants überflutet, aber selten bekommt man authentische italienische Küche wie beim Locanda Riva. Natürlich ist Italien ein sehr vielseitiges Land was Gastronomie angeht, das Locanda hat einen klaren apulianischen Stempel, entsprechend der Heimat des Gastgebers, der versucht seinen Gästen die Wünsche von den Augen abzulesen. Ich wurde Wiederholungstäterin. Auch wenn das Locanda nicht bei mir um die Ecke ist; ist es die Fahrt wert. Ich freue mich immer wieder auf die Überraschungen der Tageskarte; oft mit neuen Kreationen entsprechend den saisonalen Produkten. Auch die Weinkarte wird regelmäßig mit neuen und erlesen Tropfen ergänzt. PS: Die Terrasse am Fluss ist besonders im Sommer ein sensationeller Ort zum verweilen.
