Salami and Funghi Pizza 4/5 Pan-fried Beef Fillet 4/5 The red wine was more like mulled wine ;-) (I can't imagine that was intentional).

The dough and tomato sauce simply taste like nothing. This has absolutely nothing to do with Italian pizza! Any restaurant's frozen pizza tastes better. We went there specifically because of the good reviews, but it was simply disappointing. I can't explain all the good reviews at all!

I don't understand the negative reviews. My wife and I had a great experience at Aroma Resturant, we had a plate of Spaghetti Napoli and a Margherita. The quality of the ingredients was excellent for Germany, good pasta and pizza that reminds us of Cameo-frozen but overall good with good mozzarella, tomato and basil.

The food was good, except for the crispy burger. It was very dry and didn't look very appetizing. So, the 16.90 it cost wasn't justified. The ambiance isn't very appealing; the tablecloths are stained. Overall, it was the first and last time we ate there.

Friendly service, perhaps a little quiet, but pleasant nonetheless. The food is very good and reasonably priced. We often go there for lunch and hope the restaurant stays around for a while.

We had a three-course meal with a Groupon voucher. The service was very friendly. Appetizer one was bruschetta on the house. The first course, a skewer of beef, chicken, and pork, was delicious. However, it was essentially a taster of the main course: a grilled platter with the same meats. These were perfectly served with grilled vegetables. Plenty and good—only the beef and pork were a bit dry, which could be improved. The third course, tiramisu, was excellent. At the end, there was a "distributor" on the house. Our conclusion: solid cuisine—worth trying.

There were four of us there and no one else was there apart from us. We had to wait a whopping over 40 minutes for our food, the waiter's explanation was: sorry, a large order came in over the phone that had to be processed first! Hello - there are guests sitting in the restaurant and they wait forever for their food, even though no other table is occupied because they have to order by phone??? Sorry, but that doesn't work for me and you won't see us there again anytime soon 😠

Food was good. Unfortunately there is a bit of an unpleasant smell in the restaurant.

The waitress was super friendly, and the food was delicious. Unbeatable prices for lunch: salad, grilled meat, and tiramisu for under 15 euros, and it was truly delicious.

I can only rate the food delivered by UEBER: Thaomina was still there... (I also have myself to blame for choosing; If only I had chosen another restaurant! I still had Thaomina in my head because friends often ate there earlier and were always very satisfied; I didn't do any research and saw in time that this was now a completely different restaurant and ordered in good faith. Unfortunately, big mistake!) The courier on the bike was nice and attentive, and that was it. Pasta dish (ribbon noodles with actually garlic and oil) totally dry + just slapped on there, parmesan sprinkled directly on top instead of separately in a small container or something. (I don't like parmesan!) Cherry tomatoes taste totally sour, probably no longer fresh in my opinion. Was disgusting. Olives also included, which unfortunately I don't like either. The garlic was roasted to death and the dish otherwise tasted neutral and like bad/old oil, so nothing. (I'm completely full now and starting to feel sick, but I'm anything but satisfied. Not really great after a long day at work when you're really hungry and hungry.) Bread, which was free, was totally hard. Not even a little butter/dip etc., as is normal in other restaurants. I'm really not picky and really tolerant but unfortunately that was a sentence with an X, so nothing and way too expensive for that. It's a shame and I'm really sorry that I can't rate it more positively, but I'm really dissatisfied and I definitely won't order from here again. Pure disappointment.

I'm surprised at some of the very dissatisfied reviews. I was here with my family. My husband and I wanted to invite "the rest" to celebrate something. Since we were once together in the "predecessor Taormina", we made a reservation at Aroma. We were all very satisfied. The service was extremely friendly. It sometimes took a little longer, but the food was very tasty, freshly prepared and beautifully presented. My husband and I really enjoyed the seafood pizza that was eaten somewhere further down. A side salad, which is otherwise often very boring and "stale", was clearly freshly prepared and the dressing was by no means "0-8-15", but very tasty. The desserts we ordered were eaten extremely quickly, as they were very tasty! tasty. We sat for a long time and always had "one wish or another", no one pushed us and the gentleman who "fulfilled all our wishes" was friendly and humorous. We were all absolutely satisfied and had a wonderful evening at Aroma and would love to come back. Maybe you should differentiate between 5-star Michelin and “normal” but good reviews when you give them! District restaurant. If you want 3 to 5 star cuisine, you should be prepared to pay 3 to 5 times as much. By the way, the aroma also has a good price-performance ratio. Thanks to the Aroma team.

This was our first time in Aroma. We were greeted friendly. When we arrived at the table we were immediately given tickets and drinks were taken. Then you noticed that the service, which was only done by one man, was a bit uncoordinated. After a while we got our drinks and he said he would be right there to take the order. Unfortunately it took a while again In the meantime, each table received a basket with bread and dip. Unfortunately not our table. But the food was good (see pictures). Everything tasted good, the salmon was juicy, the steak medium and the prawns were great. They just have to learn how to cook pasta. Some of them were caked together and hard, but no one was able to cook them. At the end there was tiramisu on the house, which was the opening offer from the newspaper. All in all it was good.

I had a calzone. The service was great and the food was delicious. I'll definitely be back.

I visited the store today and ordered some takeaway noodles! At first the shop seemed a bit strange, but once I spoke to the owner and placed my order, I have to say he was extremely friendly! The shop was very clean and the food, even though I ordered takeaway, was really tasty!

Reservation was easy, super nice and fast service, super tasty food, both starter, main and dessert were very tasty. The atmosphere is a bit cool, but otherwise 100% recommendation.

We had the 3 course menu with a mixed grill plate. There was plenty of meat here! Served on fried potatoes with a side salad. Quality and taste really very good. The garlic bread is a real hit! And I have never eaten tiramisu better, as it is very light and digestible. The service and operation are simply great! We will 100% come back! Please stay like this!!!

We went here for dinner with the family at Christmas. The service was great and very friendly. Unfortunately the food is lacking. I had a classic Christmas dinner. Red cabbage, dumplings, duck. The bird was dry and the dumplings had probably just been warmed up in a water bath. The other dishes weren't a highlight either. Too bad! Menu overloaded and therefore rather a culinary failure. It smells musty and damp in the entrance area and in the toilets.

We once again had a very good meal and would love to come back. However, the benches are not comfortable.

We were the only guests, there was dead silence in the entire restaurant, even though there was a music system installed. The waiter barely spoke German and misunderstood my order. Even though we were the only ones, we waited a good half hour for a pizza and a burger. The pizza was mediocre, the bun on the burger was too toasted and dry like the Sahara. Completely inauthentic and loveless. No recommendation.

The service employee was great, very attentive and warm. That was the bright spot in this restaurant visit. The furnishings are relatively soulless and are supposed to be modern. The seats were actually very comfortable. The food actually has nothing to do with the name of the restaurant. The Frutti de Mare pizza was rather boring in terms of taste, the dough was tasteless (reminiscent of that of a cheap frozen pizza) and very dry or rather crunchy on the edge and not fun to bite into. What I found worst was that there was this artificial crab meat on the pizza. There shouldn't be anything like this in any decent restaurant. The spaghetti al oglio was a little past al dente, unfortunately the garlic was a little over and a little too roasted. Here too, ingredients that don't belong there, such as glass olives. Overall not really good. From a culinary point of view, it was unfortunately a big disappointment and I was actually horrified by some things, especially if you have experienced the previous restaurant or know how wonderful Italian cuisine can be! But still thank you for the great and attentive service :-) Card payment possible without any problems!

We had bruchetta as a starter and beef fillet skewers in mango chilli sauce as tapas. Both were delicious, but the bruchetta was cold. For the main course we had pizza and a burger. Both were very tasty and the base of the pizza was not purchased, as described in a review. The staff is very friendly. The place is too bright for me and one or two cables could perhaps be disguised. All in all we liked it and will come back

It's difficult to find suitable words. Hence our experience. The new staff seems very hard working. The food tastes different, but mostly good. Unfortunately the salad was very badly washed. The bread falls apart when touched and is dry. The pizzas are a little smaller.

We ordered a pizza - the pizza base was bought ready-made, if I had known this earlier - I would have bought a pizza from Rewe for 2 euros and not paid 13.3 euros for a thin and hard pizza base. Unfortunately, the pizza ingredients are also of poor quality - so I don't recommend pizza here. Chicken “Nuggets” – heavily toasted cornflake breading. The only successful dish was fries :) Unfortunately we will not be returning to this restaurant.

After the restaurant was sold and a new owner is running the place, it's really scary here. The dishes lack that certain something and the prices for the drinks are unreasonable. The service doesn't understand or speak German, but only smiled in a friendly manner, so that incorrectly delivered food/drinks could not be corrected. We won't come here anymore.

We go out to eat once a month with 10-14 people and used to enjoy going to Taormina often! We were even more pleased about the reopening! We had booked a table for 10 people and actually showed up on time! OMG! It took a solid 2 hours until we had our food! There wasn't a single guest in the restaurant, there were three other tables occupied outside besides us. Then telling us that the kitchen was overwhelmed with so many guests at once... what?? What do you do when the store is full, like it used to be every day? Bruscetta was very garlicky, but ok. The pizzas were average (like from any delivery service), the fettucini were overcooked, the tomato sauce was oversalted, the meat was far dry, the salmon scampi ravioli had nothing to do with scampi and the portions were very manageable, the desserts were consistently (3 different) a disgrace. Then the grappa on the house (which, by the way, tasted terrible) didn't make any difference! The only positive thing was the service, which was very attentive and friendly. The quality you are used to in Taormina is no longer noticeable, only the prices have remained! By the way, the shop closes at 10 p.m., and at 9:50 p.m. the song “Bella Ciao” ​​was heard loudly across the terrace. Since we didn't have our food until so late, we had to accelerate and couldn't drink anything else as usual. SHAME!

Were in Taormina for the first time after the change of operator. Came with mixed feelings and were pleasantly surprised. The service was very nice and accommodating. The food was excellent (carpaccio, fettuccine alfredo and scaloppina gorgonzola). The front part of the restaurant is unchanged. The rear rooms are currently being modernized. We will continue to enjoy going to Taormina.

Unfortunately the old owners are no longer there. The quality has suffered greatly and the charm has been lost. The store was always full on a Friday. Today it was hardly visited, which is indicated. Too bad.

Unfortunately, my last visit to this restaurant was anything but satisfactory. Although the food itself was fine, there were several deficiencies that greatly marred the experience. Despite not being overly busy, it took almost 45 minutes between the drinks arriving and the food order being placed. This already got the evening off to a bad start. Another annoyance was the water: instead of the sparkling water we ordered, we were served still water. A small mistake, but overall another detail that reinforced the negative impression. I found the lack of an allergy card particularly serious. According to the Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture, such a card has been mandatory since 2014 so that guests with food intolerances can order safely. When we asked, we were simply told that no such card was available. And even the chef wouldn't know what's in his dishes. This is not only annoying but also potentially dangerous. I was really looking forward to a classic spaghetti carbonara when I visited this restaurant, but was unfortunately disappointed. What I was served was okay, but far from what you would expect from an authentic carbonara. The first thing I noticed was that the pasta consisted of two types of noodles. Instead of the uniform spaghetti I expected, I found a mixture of spaghetti and tagliatelle on my plate. This may seem interesting to some, but it had no place in a classic carbonara and disrupted the eating experience. Another defect was the ham used. Instead of the air-dried bacon typical of carbonara (such as guanciale or pancetta), cooked ham was used. This not only changed the taste significantly, but also deprived the dish of its characteristic bite and spice. To my surprise, there were also tomatoes in the pasta, which have no place in a classic carbonara. This ingredient changed the texture and flavor of the sauce, making the dish more like a pasta with cream sauce and ham - certainly okay, but not carbonara. Overall, the dish was okay, but if you're expecting an authentic spaghetti carbonara, you'll be disappointed. Rather, it was an idiosyncratic interpretation that deviates far from Italian tradition. It's a shame, because the potential for a good dish was there, but was wasted by these deviations. Another issue was the language barriers: Unfortunately, the waitress could hardly speak any German, which led to some communication difficulties. The employees were very helpful and friendly, but the communication problems still caused unnecessary misunderstandings. Overall, the restaurant makes an effort, but there is still a lot of room for improvement in terms of service and organization. Unfortunately, friendliness alone is not enough to compensate for the many deficiencies that marred the evening. Last but not least, the end of the evening was marred by problems with payment. The card payment didn't work so we were forced to pay in cash. This was particularly unpleasant as many guests these days no longer carry enough cash with them. Overall the visit was disappointing. If the restaurant does not correct its organizational and service-related weaknesses, it will be difficult to attract guests again. And to maintain the image that has been adopted.

Help! What happened? Where is Giuseppe, Maria and team? Apparently there is a new owner (Indian?) at Taormina; but it is still an Italian restaurant. Most of the inventory appears to have been carried over, but attention to detail is now lacking. Both the inside and outside look kind of shabby. There are no more tablecloths, the beautiful candlesticks are gone and instead there are plain printed paper mats. The daily menu on the chalkboard was leaning against the wall, but it wasn't even shown to you. The menu also looks “taken over”. In all fairness, the pasta was OK, although it didn't come close to the original from before. It's a shame, the Fuhle has lost another restaurant where you want to spend a cozy evening with friends.

To charge 28.00 euros for a pizza frutti di mare is an outrage. A basic pizza costs €10.90 then the few bites have Fruti with rocket Cost €17.10. (This variant is NOT on the menu). After questions and endless discussions - no agreement was possible. So the catering industry shouldn't be surprised if guests stay away.

We were in Hamburg over the weekend and were looking for a restaurant (we love pizza) and stumbled upon this great Italian restaurant. Despite a last-minute decision, we got a table for two on the same day. When we arrived, the restaurant was rather inconspicuous, but we were even more amazed by the ambience, the staff and the food. We liked it so much that we even went back to eat there the following day. We can highly recommend this restaurant to everyone. We felt completely comfortable.

I eat there occasionally, but not anymore as of today. The soup was absolutely too salty and so was our overpriced pasta. Inedible! We weren't even asked if everything was okay and why we only had the food taken away after it had been nibbled and we didn't say anything out of politeness and paid €70 for nothing. The owner struts around the restaurant but has the arrogance to only greet his friends, not a welcoming atmosphere. A bit pretentious and doesn't say hello when guests say hello. Some of the team prefer to stand at the entrance and smoke instead of pleasing the guests. Then we went somewhere else. The table next to us also seemed very dissatisfied and hardly anything was eaten from their plate. We happened to see this group of people eating something better later in the same restaurant. The service there was attentive, the food was simple but really good and the prices were reasonable. We ate there because we had to leave Taormina hungry. Taormina and Giuseppe are definitely not interested, but you have lost these eight customers. If food is returned almost untouched, you should at least ask if everything was okay. High prices for inferior quality and inattention on many levels. Better go somewhere else next time. Very disappointing!

Family-run Italian restaurant with a long-standing tradition. Food prepared very tasty, pizzas from the stone oven. Staff friendly and open. A restaurant with a high feel-good factor. Some days with live guitar music. Plan to look for a parking space ("Fuhle"), but it's very easy to reach by public transport. Table reservations recommended during peak times.

One of my favorite restaurants nearby! The food and service are always great. The only thing that bothers me is that it's a bit cramped at times and you can hear the conversations at the next table. Otherwise really always good with a great card!

Sehr leckeres Essen (das Steak war super) und sehr freundliche und aufmerksame Servicekräfte - Top! Die Vorspeisen waren leider sehr fad. Die Nachspeisen wiederum sehr lecker.Wenn der Laden voll ist, muss man sehr lange (1,5 Stunden!) auf sein Essen warten. Das Preis Leistungsverhältnis ist leider nicht gut als einziger Kritikpunkt: Zum Steak gab es 3 Kleine (geteilte) Kartoffeln und eine Handvoll Gemüse. Das ist für das Geld ziemlich Mau.

Fisch nicht durch. Chef reagierte bei mehreren Kollegen laut patzig und der Knaller, draußen beim Rauchen sprechen die Bedingungen noch über die Kollegen. Ich dachte ich höre falsch

Super Italiener ! Sehr lecker & toller Service. Ich war bereits mehrmals hier essen. Die Speisen schmeckten immer hervorragend. Nudeln und Pizza können sie auf jeden Fall. Der Service ist sehr freundlich. Es macht Spaß dort zu essen und man verliert hier gerne die Zeit aus den Augen. Man kann hier toll abschalten und erwischt sich selbst beim Beobachten des Personals und dem Ambiente, wenn man nicht gerade das Essen genießt. Weiter so !

Leckeres Essen in gemütlicher Atmosphäre.

Wir sind schon seit Jahren treue Gäste im Taormina. Es sind nicht nur die tollen und leckeren Gerichte, die Giuseppe auf den Teller zaubert, sondern auch der herzliche Service und das gemütliche Ambiente, dass uns immer wieder kommen lässt. Auch wenn der Laden voll ist, also fast immer, kommt Giuseppe an den Tisch, um persönlich nach seinen Gästen zu schauen. Bis bald …

Wir haben uns hier sehr wohl gefühlt. Das Ristorante ist gut besucht. Die Bedienung ist freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die bestellten Speisen wurden alle gleichzeitig an den Tisch gebracht und waren vorzüglich. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Wir waren unter der Woche vor Ort, es war nicht voll und es gab 2 Servicekräfte. Leider mussten wir sie aber immer wieder rufen oder Sie beim abräumen ansprechen, weil sie nicht von allein auf uns zu kam. Das Essen war leider geschmacklich auch ziemlich enttäuschend. Für die Preise habe ich mehr erwartet.

All in ein vernünftiges Restaurant mit guten Speisen. Die Wartezeit auf das Essen war extrem lang (fast eine Stunde). Und danach kam dann gar kein:e Kellner:in mehr vorbei, schade, weil wir gerne noch etwas zu trinken und ggf. einen Nachtisch bestellt hätten.

Außen und Innen wirkt es wie ein einfaches Restaurant. Küche außerordentlich gut. Preis nicht ganz niedrig.

Unser Stammitaliener in Barmbek und wurden noch nie enttäuscht. Es passt einfach alles. Guiseppe kocht noch selber und auch der Service ist perfekt. Wer einen guten typischen Italiener sucht ist hier genau richtig!

Wir sind schon seit Jahren Stammgäste bei Guiseppe und seinem Team. Es ist familiär und man fühlt sich IMMER Willkommen! Das Essen ist unglaublich gut, der Service schnell, zuvorkommend und super freundlich. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist absolut fair. Unsere Kinder werden auch immer herzlich empfangen (was leider nicht mehr die Regel in der Gastronomie ist) und wir können nur jedem empfehlen, der das Taormina noch nicht ausprobiert hat, es zu versuchen:)
