We were in the garden, the atmosphere is wonderful. Unfortunately, the music is so overwhelming that I decided not to have a conversation. The mayo on the steak was too strong for me, but the meat is excellent. Great beer

Super trendy restaurant, highly recommended!

We had breakfast three times in the restaurant and booked the buffet. Without exception, I have to praise the extremely friendly and competent staff. Please treat your staff well and with respect. Finding people like that isn't easy. The buffet had a good selection of food. There were also a few special selections to be found. It was also appetizingly prepared. I have nothing to criticize in terms of quantity or quality. I thought it was nice that I could make up for coffee as often as I wanted. Lattes and cappuccinos were also available. However, the coffee should come out of the machine much hotter. This can definitely be regulated somewhere. I didn't understand the space allocation. There were hardly any guests there. In this respect, I would have liked to have chosen a bright window seat. The allocated space far away from daylight didn't appeal to me. Would it be a problem to let the guests choose for themselves when everything is still free? In the afternoon we were there to have a drink on the terrace. I found the two seats with the small side table very pleasant. The selection of drinks was huge. I tried two drinks that I didn't know and loved them. As with breakfast, the staff were very quick and competent. In my opinion the price is at the upper limit.

We were only there for breakfast (and once for a drink late at lunchtime) because the small "to go" in the hotel did not meet the expectations of a breakfast. The price of around 24 euros per person for the breakfast buffet is okay for now. But it's not cheap and I would have liked foregoing the small breakfast in the hotel to have had an impact on either the room price or the buffet price. The selection is okay, but the icing on the cake is missing for a first-class breakfast. The coffee isn't really hot, and every guest touches the bread they cut themselves with their hands. Freshly ground nougat cream is fun, but it is hardly sweetened and is no substitute for a really good cream. The selection of jams is small, the "strawberry sauce" runs from every bread or roll. The selection of sausages isn't big, but it's okay. Cheese selection fits. A juice (orange) and a strawberry smoothie (takes some getting used to and not very cold) doesn't cut it. However, the quality of the things available is good. The service staff was friendly, but we don't really understand why they put us at the back of the restaurant on the third day even though everything at the front was free. But at least they didn't forget us and asked if everything was okay. At lunchtime we had a quick drink, which was easily possible even without registering. The selection of beers is enormous (unfortunately so are the prices). You can sit outside on the large chairs and enjoy the sun. I've found a new favorite here. A red fruit beer from Belgium (Liefmans) in the non-alcoholic version. We are in Bayreuth once a year and will try the dinner next time... and then rate it.

Ideal accommodation with beautiful, adjacent restaurants.

Sat in the last stuffy corner. The service is sometimes aggressive, annoyed or untrained. The price/performance ratio leaves a lot to be desired for some of the food...the “cheaper” food is surprising. Even after a complaint, oven-fresh bread was at least from the previous day. After the last visit 4 years ago, this time the cleanliness of the toilets was an absolute disappointment.

The service is absolutely top class! I have never experienced anything so positive. The food is also good, the selection of drinks is huge. The atmosphere is modern and cozy.

We celebrated our wedding in the Liebesbier brewery. From the first contact to the end of our celebration, everything was professionally organized and perfectly planned, the service was very attentive and quick and special requests were implemented. We are completely satisfied and couldn't have imagined a better location for our celebration! Absolutely recommended.

Great location, which is very well attended. Food was ok. The tartare was exceptional and I would order it again and again. The burger, however, was a bit too dry. The breakfast is nothing special and could have been saved.

Hands down one of the best breakfast places I have been to in the whole of Germany! Large outdoors and indoors seating area, very atmospheric, delicious concoctions like the croissant breakfast burger, and I had the egg and avocado eggs Benedict, scrambled eggs done to perfection.

A brewer does not necessarily make a good hotelier! And focusing everything on decor to the detriment of hospitality does not necessarily lead to a good customer experience. Impersonal hotel and above all without staff from reception to breakfast to the sauna you will only speak with screens and the rare humans you come across will not have a smile. The breakfast is minimalist, not to say ridiculous. The restaurant is good In a word, a sleeping box with the price of a classic hotel. Go your way

Greatest steak far and wide. Unfortunately, you can only get real steaks (mans cut, ladies cut) from 5 p.m. Great with the grilled vegetables. The ambience is also super stylish. Located right on the river. Endless beer selection, not just the own brands. Mega!

Top service and ambience! The Maissels Brewery really has a wide variety of different beers. The children's playground with the slide is also great.

Nice ambience. But the price-performance ratio leaves a lot to be desired: the food wasn't tasty, the coffee was cold, only the drinks were good. There was no bicycle parking space to be found. The waitresses were nice and accommodating. Would only recommend the love beer for drinks and not with food.

The reason for our visit was our 2nd wedding anniversary. We both decided on a delicious steak and were initially dissatisfied with the doneness. The very nice service was very accommodating and took the food back to the kitchen to check, as they had often had problems with the light on the terrace distorting the color of the doneness. She came back with photos of the steak and was able to confirm the correct degree of doneness. We thought that was great service. The dessert topped it all off. All in all a successful evening. Gladly again.

Very chic, but also VERY noisy hotel. 3 out of 5 nights were simply catastrophic, we were able to enjoy the temporary "Ballermann" atmosphere from the neighboring restaurant until after midnight. On the other side of the hotel is the street (very loud, echoing). Close the windows, they seal very well, but then it quickly becomes very stuffy. Air conditioning on - again too loud and unpleasant drafts. The room doors seal well, but they close extremely loudly. And this all night long (many guests are very inconsiderate in this regard). The banging booms through the walls, just as you can hear the alarm clock in the next room just as loudly as people walking around in the rooms at night. The absolute highlight: at 4 a.m. in the morning, an employee from the hotel turns up the sound of techno in the restaurant (whose doors are all wide open). That's it for sleep. Conclusion: NEVER AGAIN! The prices in the attached restaurant suggest high quality - unfortunately they are sobering here too. The so-called breakfast buffet for €23.90 (!) impresses with its unimaginative simplicity and borders on rip-off. It's really bad: in the restaurant area you are constantly flooded with the hotel's constant, repetitive self-promotion on large screens. Escape: not possible (only by escaping, which we did on all subsequent evenings; Bayreuth offers many great alternatives!). We found this to be borderline harassment. In the end: a beautiful hotel, great furnishings, super-friendly staff, the hotel guests' sleep seems to be unimportant (the main thing in the restaurant (outdoor area) is to drink and laugh for a long time, and relaxing undisturbed with good food in the restaurant doesn't seem to be a priority It's a shame to have a pretty pointless vacation because you're constantly tired.

We are really excited! A great restaurant with very tasty food and super friendly service. We were clearly too early and wanted to be seated near the playground at short notice. All wishes were tried to be fulfilled and really friendly! Highly Recommended! Also for families, as the restaurant has a really great playground that is fenced in. My daughter was thrilled. If we come to Bayreuth again, we will definitely be back here!

Absolute “must” in Bayreuth. Even if you're not a beer drinker. Simply nice and comfortable to sit on. Delicious food for every taste. First time here and definitely not the last time. Plus the Urban Hotel with a cozy sauna and funky rooms.

Great atmosphere, very nice terrace and there is also a playground for children. Breakfast buffet also offers a good selection during the week, seemingly expanded on weekends.

Absolutely great and recommended! We had organized a dinner for 30 people for our wedding. We had a small, separate area that was beautifully decorated and even had our own waitress who was only responsible for us (for almost 6 hours). Accordingly, every drink arrived within a few minutes. The food was also served to all guests almost at the same time and the meat in all dishes was fried to a perfect medium rare. You have to do that first. Respect to the kitchen and the service! Many thanks to the entire team for this wonderful evening!!!!

The ambience of the rooms is really beautiful and inviting. Everything seems very modern, rustic is mixed with an industrial style. Still, I didn't feel like I wanted to stay here. Maybe it was because of the large TV that didn't fit into the overall picture and where the same advertisements were playing all the time or maybe it was because of the not-so-attentive staff who gave the feeling of "just not being responsive". On top of that, my first beer order was no longer in stock. Then I ordered something else, only to find out that it was no longer available either. Maybe I had too high expectations. It was okay for a stop on my holiday trip, but I wouldn't go there again.

We had dinner at Liebesbier last night on the occasion of our 1st wedding anniversary. The reservation works great online, you will be reminded beforehand and should confirm the appointment again. The reception was extremely friendly and nice. You immediately feel “really in good hands”. My wife chose the LB burger and I chose the rib eye steak. My wife really liked the burger. My steak was tender, well seasoned and definitely worth the price. The house fries and my pepper sauce were still really hot, unlike some restaurants. For dessert, my wife chose the coconut panna cotta and a scoop of goat cheese and fig ice cream and I chose the beer amisu. The desserts are something different and tasted great to us. The staff was extremely friendly, from the reception to the farewell, and kept asking whether everything was okay or whether anything was missing. All in all a lovely evening on our 1st wedding anniversary. The love beer is recommended in every respect. Again any time.

Update after 4 years: Breakfast has deteriorated considerably. Expensive but little selection. We were ALL disappointed and would not come back.

Were there for the breakfast buffet. Everything was perfect, very unusual and unique foods like mango-apricot jam etc. . Staff very exemplary, polite and courteous.

The brewery tour and museum were very interesting and informative. Afterwards we wanted to have a beer, the young waiter wasn't the fastest and completely ignored us at the beginning. The evening was still nice.

We were there today on a company outing. I took a tour of the brewery's cellar vaults, which was very good and really interesting. Afterwards a visit to the beer garden was planned. Our organizer was then told that 30 people was too many for the beer garden and that we wouldn't get any food or they couldn't tell us how long it would take until we got something to eat. After some discussions we finally got something. I ordered a burger with fries which was served in a reasonable time. The taste was very good, but the portion was much too small for this steep price. I didn't get a second drink that I ordered. The waiter didn't get it He also didn't respond when I asked him about it while paying. In general, I found the whole service rather overwhelmed by the situation, everything was very hectic and unprepared. Last but not least, we were accused of cheating, supposedly some drinks weren't paid for, then I asked the waiter again that I never got my second drink again without any reaction . All in all, the tour was very good. I absolutely cannot recommend the beer garden as there are better restaurants with better service and better food.

For a store in this price range, it's an absolute disgrace that there are no parking spaces for bicycles The price-performance ratio has also decreased dramatically when it comes to food. Unfortunately I can no longer recommend it.

The hotel concept is well thought out, the furnishings are new and stylish. Great wellness area with panoramic sauna and free beer. We felt completely comfortable! The food and drink in the restaurant also 10/10. Highly recommended for a weekend getaway with friends.

Great gastro event...young and chic!

Minimalist portions and high prices. The restaurant may be busy, but the burger is never worth its price. Even the measly gentleman's cut beef fillet doesn't justify the price. I recommend pretty much every other shop in Bayreuth for eating out. It may be that a visit is worth it for the drinks, but even the atmosphere inside isn't particularly comfortable - it's too hot and too loud.

The four of us ate well. You can tell that the waitresses are untrained. Snappy answers, arrogant, no minimum decency and little to no knowledge of what they are selling. That every guest is addressed on a first-name basis, you have to like it. Service in my mid-20s - I'm 63. The parking situation and just under 6 EUR for about 4 hours in a restaurant is not possible at all. If the guest continues to be charged a parking fee, I will not be a guest again.

Great hotel, easy self check-in, The room is amazing, everything is there, even a small fireplace. Practically modernly furnished with a balcony and seating. Beds comfortable. Breakfast is classic in the hotel lobby, if you want more, in the restaurant, just across the parking lot, there is everything your heart desires for breakfast. We'll come back again

Very nice restaurant, the service could be a bit friendlier. Burger was cold but still good. The rib eye with octopus was OK.

Great “art hotel” with a lot of art in the corridors and lobby. The rooms are individually artistically designed, very beautiful. Rooms with modern smart home controls and even USB C sockets. Comfortable beds! Breakfast is available next door in the inn. There is even a free mini breakfast (takeaway is expressly permitted) in the lobby.

From start to finish an outstanding dinner. Burrata salad with rhubarb was delicious and the dry aged ribeye out of this world. Already booked a table for my next visit to Bayreuth

Qualität der Speisen, Service und Ambiente haben uns so gut gefallen, dass wir innerhalb einer Woche Kurzurlaub in Bayreuth gleich zweimal hier zu Gast waren. Die Küche ist sehr kreativ und abwechslungsreich; wer das Übliche Schäufele schon abgehakt hat, findet hier noch reichlich leckere Gerichte, die man sonst so nicht oft oder gänzlich überhaupt nicht findet. Freunde der norddeutschen Küche sollten unbedingt das Forellenmatjes probieren. Aber auch das Gerstenrisotto mit geflämmter Lachsforelle und der Pulled Pork Burger waren grandios. Außerdem lässt die große Auswahl an frisch gezapften Bieren das Herz der Bierfreunde höher schlagen. Vor dem Essen bietet sich ein Rundgang durch die Bier-Erlebnis-Welt der Maisel-Brauerei an. Mit Audio-Guide auf dem eigenen Smartphone (per App) sehr bequem und unkompliziert.

A must for every beer lover. The food was very good, the service was absolutely satisfactory and the beer menu is amazing 🍺 Luckily we got a table even without a reservation, although I would recommend that if there are more than two people, you call ahead. If I'm in the area again, I'll definitely stop by again.

Hier kann man es wirklich aushalten. Sehr schöne, gemütliche Atmosphäre. Sehr guter Service. Sehr gutes Essen. Und alles sehr gepflegt und stilvoll. Unbedingt auch das alkoholfreie Maisel&Friends probieren! Und natürlich auch einmal über eine Übernachtung im Urban Art Hotel nachdenken! Es lohnt sich.

The ambience in Liebesbier is definitely interesting, but seems a little wild here and there. The cleanliness of the toilets was okay. The service went smoothly. I really liked the small beer sample on the drinks menu. The bottom line is that you can come here with a clear conscience, but when it comes to the price/performance ratio, Bayreuth city center has even more to offer.

The food was simply not enough for the price. A lot of savings were made, especially on the side dishes. The service was tried but confusing. Received the wrong food. So does the neighboring table. The ambience wasn't quaint enough. At least for our subjective feeling.

We were here on a Saturday evening and got a table for 4 people without a reservation, even though it was full, including a wedding. The map is manageable, which I found very good. Even if you don't like burgers or meat, you can find something here, such as a pearl barley risotto. The service was very friendly and the food came quickly. Of course there is an extensive selection of beers, not just wheat beer.

I have to correct my old review - the ambience is still great. Service was very nice but sometimes very inexperienced and unfortunately a bit tight. Some things came very slowly, some things were forgotten and had to be asked. Food just ok. Quality has declined in recent years but prices have increased significantly. This time I stayed in the new hotel. This was really successful, except for the extremely dark corridors

Second time on site and unfortunately an incredibly unfriendly service employee , which set the bad tone for the rest of the evening. Food okay, but unfortunately the price/performance ratio doesn't match. Significantly better about a year ago. It's a shame, because fantastic ambience and great beer! This will be the last time...

Great welcome and really friendly staff. Even blackcurrant juice can taste different and it was really good. You can also easily take food and drinks to your room. Since we drank coffee very late, we didn't want that much. Starting with the asparagus cream soup. This name doesn't do it justice. You get a pretty empty bowl but that's the highlight. Here you can almost see a paste of peas pulled up to the edge, while at the bottom there are tiny pieces of asparagus sleeping under the warm smoked trout. Then you get another container to pour the soup out. No, it's a foam. Even if you mix it with the pea paste, it doesn't collapse and is really warm. It was cooler outside in the evening. You couldn't tell from the food. Then there was an LB burger. References to allergens were taken absolutely seriously. Due to an allergy, we wanted to leave out the coleslaw, as it often contains peppers. We were told that it was served separately and that my husband might be able to eat it. Burger is just a burger? No! We got a bun that was warm, soft on top, roasted on the inside, a patty that was really medium, that's what it said on the menu. The cheese was melted over the patty and even though it should have been a slightly melty cheese, it is an art to have the patty medium and the cheese was completely melted. The patty was of the best quality, not overly seasoned with salt and pepper but very tasty. In general, all the components harmonized perfectly. If you ate it whole, it could have tasted like a steak and that's saying something. The bacon jam was truly a jam and not a sugar shock. Even I ate the homemade BBQ sauce with beer and it was awesome. The fries were also hot. It was really a pleasure to eat something like that. Last but not least there was a raspberry sorbet, or rather a dream. €2.40 for a scoop of homemade sorbet with a raspberry flavor that is not too sweet and not too sour, without seeds and unpalatable sugar, plus homemade chocolate crumble made from high-quality chocolate, which you can taste and not too sweet, fresh strawberries, blueberries and a physalis and there was also a house-thin chocolate chip cookie. It has to be said that many IN bars or trendy bars often live from their reputation and quickly decline. The concept simply works here because everything fits. Ambiance, extremely friendly staff, chef - but he doesn't serve all areas, hence the entire kitchen staff. The processed products are partly regional and you really know what to do with them and how to process something, really a high art. Fresh products and everything in absolute moderation, especially sugar, which is a flavor carrier, as are fats. You can also pick up a burger because the cloth napkins will keep your fingers clean. Unfortunately it got through that I wanted to speak to the chef, so I called the kitchen again because I was assured that reviews would be read. You're in the background, but you really know your stuff. Keep it that way and don't rest on your laurels. You get the opportunity to work with such products, which you don't have the chance to do everywhere. Unfortunately, profit margins are the rule these days. (the waiter knows everything exactly and the blonde with the ponytail, talk to them) All in all, it's not cheap (think about it for yourself, that wouldn't be a positive thing) but it's more than inexpensive for what you get! 20 euros for a burger, yes because everything is fresh, because there is finesse behind it, trying and testing, regional products, people who know their craft. The three of us had breakfast. The food was excellent, the service was very attentive and always friendly and the atmosphere of the restaurant was very appealing. Like to come here. Absolute recommendation. 👍🏽

Seating was good, unfortunately the steaks were not of the best quality and degree of doneness. Next time I would return it. For the side dishes, a 1. Had a birthday and stated so. A simple happy birthday would have done it. I think it's good form. Still happy to come back. There are plenty of dishes that we haven't tried yet.

A lot went wrong during our visit. Unfortunately we had to wait an hour for our order in the restaurant and unfortunately the food wasn't particularly tasty and also exorbitantly expensive. A burger with a side dish for 22 euros and the baked rack of suckling pig are just two strips, one of which contains a bone - for 25 euros. Very disappointing. The beer was very good though. However, when paying by card, the suggested tip of 10%, 12% and 15% (or similar values) was topped. Where are we going from there? American conditions! Don't you pay your waiters anything? Edit to the tip: 5%-10% is common, what you basically specify is 10%-15%. And that is extreme imposition with your “suggestions”. I'm happy to give something between 5% and 10% if everything fits, but given everything that came together that evening, it turned out to be less. And your “suggestions” are just stupid in our case, sorry. We won't be coming back, we were just on a day trip to Bayreuth.

Nice and tastefully furnished brewery pub with very good steaks. 6 weeks aged T bone for 135Eur per kilo up to the fillet, flanjen steak etc. perfectly prepared... but also very good burgers And not forgetting incredibly good beers, a bar prepared for all eventualities.

Hotel is very modern and convenient to enter via cell phone. Bar has over 100 beers to choose from, very stylish and a reservation makes sense, especially on weekends.

Mega delicious food, burgers etc. If you want to take a different approach to taste and are looking for slightly different dishes on the menu, this is the right place for you. Unusual dessert creations, like Beer Tiramisu or ice cream flavors like Dry Shout Caramel🤎 Yoghurt Elderberry💛 or Coconut Charcoal Black Sesame (which is really coal black)🖤 and if you want to try out other unusual but great flavors, you will find them here.

Spent a weekend here. Hotel: really very nice modern hotel. Very comfortable bed. The stocked minibar where you could help yourself for free was also great. The free breakfast to go was also great. Small but nice. Really great! It's a shame that there is no free parking lot for hotel guests. Restaurant: The food was really delicious and very special. Staff very friendly. A little more expensive but the quality is good! Bar: Great atmosphere! Very large selection of beers. Minus point: The bar closes at midnight on Saturdays. Last lap at 11:20 p.m. Although the bar was still very busy. Personally, I think it's a real shame. In general, if you just want to end the evening nicely, it would be desirable at least until 1:00 a.m. We wanted to go to the beer shop on Sunday before we left. Whenever I'm in the area, I'll definitely go to Liebesbier. Great ambience, top service, modern and delicious food and a varied beer menu, of course including the Maisel and Friends specialties on tap.

Great hotel at an absolutely fair price, nice, modern and very clean rooms, very comfortable bed. Parking spaces right in front of the door. I also think the small breakfast “to go” is great. Absolute recommendation!

We were on the way home (south) from a business trip on the A9 and had been looking for somewhere good to eat since Hof ;) What can I say, we googled for a delicious alternative to “well rest stop food” and what can I say? We are absolutely thrilled! The Arthotel, the Liebesbier Restaurant, the beer experience world. All highlights! Great service, great food and beer! Very good price/performance ratio, all staff very friendly and accommodating. TOP!! Edit 2024: We've been here for the Xth time now, no stay in Bayreuth is complete without love beer! Had the best cauliflower of my life yesterday.
