Liebesbier - Urban Art Hotel, Restaurant & Bar in Bayreuth

After the Museums Rundgo, we only ate an appetizer as a snack to accompany the tasting board, but the way it was presented suggests that there will be other good dishes to come.

Super great restaurant, modern furnishings, great cuisine, very friendly and competent service and then a huge selection of beer. An absolute recommendation for beer enthusiasts and all food lovers.

We were at Maisel & Friends in Bayreuth as part of an event organized by the Association of Certified Beer Sommeliers. Check-in was carried out digitally on site without any problems and the Urban Art is a crazy hotel. Stylish and perfectly equipped. Everything in black takes some getting used to at first, but it adds to the overall impression. The dark walls make the works of art stand out much better and shine with a special shine. The love beer scored highly in a private setting on Tuesday and was a culinary treat. Personally, I would never have made pulled pork on mashed potatoes. This is so cool that we will cook it at home. The service was second to none. Fast and precise. We were asked again and again if everything was ok or if we needed anything. In terms of price, everything fits perfectly. The food was reasonably priced and good beer also costs money. A little tip: the beer menu is sensational and full of treasures. On Saturday we had a closed party. Our gala evening was coming up. 3 courses with appropriate beer accompaniment. What a fantastic evening. We will remember the entire visit to Liebesbier, Urban Art and the Maisel Erlebniswelt for a long time and we will be happy to recommend this hotel to others. A big thank you goes to the entire team (no matter where) and especially to Micha von Maisel.

We had a fantastic event in this beautiful venue! The food was excellent and the service team was extremely quick and friendly. Everything was right, from the ambience to the smallest details. Absolutely recommended!

Very tasty food, especially the BBQ sauce. Just as a tip the gluten free bread on the burger was really difficult to cut.

Very nice location with delicious food. The beer tasting board is highly recommended. The acoustics could be improved, sometimes very loud. Unfortunately, the service wasn't that attentive, perhaps due to our seat being a bit off to the side.

I was there for an event for three days. I was able to experience all areas (hotel, museum, event rooms, restaurant) several times. This property, especially the positive vibe of the entire staff, was the best I've experienced so far! Absolutely extraordinary performance and incredibly attentive as a person.

A very nice restaurant especially for beer lovers. The menu is extensive and offers a wide selection for meat lovers as well as vegetarians and vegans. What is particularly impressive is that each dish comes with its own beer recommendation. The staff was friendly and attentive. Both the starters and the main courses are designed in a modern way and impress by combining new ideas with classic cuisine. Overall, the food is very tasty and also beautifully and lovingly prepared. A nice place to go if you are looking for a restaurant with fine cuisine in Bayreuth.

Beautifully furnished with industrial charm.

I think this restaurant is very nice, it has a very interesting concept, the food is also good. However, I want to mention some points to keep in mind to improve... We had to wait for the table having a reservation because it was still busy and yet we had to wait a lot longer for our dishes and then for the bill, it was too hot and You could hardly talk because of the noise. This time the experience was somewhat stressful.

I love it here in the love beer

We have spareribs for 2 people for the princely price of €39.00. About half of the portion was pure fat. We were told it was the special cut! St. LOUIS CUT. Wikipedia says that this cut has a particularly high amount of meat. At night our stomachs were VERY active. The waitress “compensated” with a mini herbal liquor. Expensive and not enjoyable

The perfect hotel in Bayreuth. 10 min walk from the center. Easy parking. Very nice rooms and surroundings. Easy online check-in. Excellent breakfast (extra charge) in the associated restaurant. The restaurant is lively, but since it is in a separate building it does not bother you. Remember to reserve a table for the evening, as it seems to be very popular.

Recommended brewery with a large selection of good beers. Some nice wines are also offered and the food is good. The attached hotel is also very good, modern and everything is there, including parking spaces. Highly recommended: the rich breakfast. Summary: If you're back in Bayreuth, go for the love beer. 😊

Delicious!! I would come back to try everything! The service is fast, it is good and very delicious. I recommend the place since it is very beautiful, family-friendly, and large. The only thing that disappointed me were the drinks, too much ice, 2 times after drinking the drink is finished and the only thing I can see was ice. I would return and next time I will ask for ice separately.

An absolute highlight Is worth its price

Unfortunately, three points deducted because we ordered spareribs for two people and this was far too small a portion for the price. It's a shame, we were really disappointed.

We had two LB burgers and were really disappointed with the meat. This was somehow very coarse, slightly gristly and hard. The rest of the burger and the fries were great, but unfortunately this really spoiled the taste experience. I have never had such a bad patty at any other burger place.

Being part of the Maisels brewery, you can tell that nothing was saved. 100 beer variations leave nothing to be desired and the cuisine here is well above the brewery restaurant average. Clear recommendation with the note: it's better to reserve in advance!

A hip restaurant with an interesting menu that is constantly being revised. Interesting selection of beers and very nice friendly staff, definitely a presentable place to go with friends and business guests. However, everything is in a slightly higher price range.

I know Maisels Weisse or Maisels & Friends. Now I was in the brewery, more precisely in the in-house restaurant. The atmosphere is inviting and cozy with modern street art on the walls. Even the food is not typical brewery food. But it comes fresh with modern notes. It is only recommended. You can comfortably stop here with beer and food.

We've only been there to drink so far, but I'll catch up on the food. Sat directly at the bar and the ambience as well as the service + music are very modern and top.

I like the whole atmosphere. However: €24.90 for fish and chips remains a complete mystery to me, even after various stays in London. I just wanted to eat something and not become a partner in the company.

A very special restaurant, everything has something to do with beer. It's really beautiful and has a great atmosphere. And the food was very tasty. We had the pulled pork burger and pulled pork. Both were super tasty and the quality of the food was really good. For dessert we ordered the Bieramisu, which I can only recommend. It's really worth coming here.

We just wanted to have a beer. That probably wasn't enough for the staff. Waiting forever to order. Some of what I ordered came wrong. The bill came with a very long delay. The beer was a great experience. The service needs improvement.

There were four of us there yesterday and if we wanted to eat something there wasn't a shortage of staff! Then we decided to just have a quick drink, the neighboring table was annoyed because they had been waiting for drinks for 30 minutes! Then we left again!

We go there every year for our wedding anniversary because it just blows us away every time. The waitresses are very friendly and personable. The food is always amazing and tastes excellent. The beer itself is a matter of taste, I personally like it very much. 👍🏼

As a big graffiti & street art lover, I have been following the urban art hotel for several years. Now I'm finally able to experience it live and...Wow! How great is that?! The entire hotel is designed so lovingly and tastefully. The bed is very comfortable, the double room is the perfect size and the bathroom is super stylish. I'm thrilled and will definitely come back!

Brilliant event location. Very good organization and execution of our company event. Food and drinks are of very good quality and varied, with attentive but not intrusive staff. That has become rare. Steak variation and beer selection very good. The catacomb tour and the rooms are also highly recommended... and now a few words for the beer lovers. Modern ambience very well integrated into an old historic brewery with a variety of delicious and changing draft beers and even more bottled beers with attentive staff.

Very nice restaurant on the Maisel & Friends site in Bayreuth. The menu offers many delicious and unusual dishes. There are also over 100 beers to try (and of course non-alcoholic alternatives :-) ). The employees were all friendly and very committed. The restaurant garden is beautifully designed and, thanks to the division with hedges, is very relaxed and cozy. If we are in the area again we would be happy to come back.

The food was quite good, but the portion size did not match the prices. The portions are far too small and if you order, for example, steaks that cost an average of €35, you even have to order the butter extra for €2.50 and side dishes start at €5.50. The ambience and location is very nice. The waitresses were very friendly.

A very successful concept If you like beer, you will hardly find a better offer: more than 100 types of beer, many fresh from the tap, the best from our own production. You can always discover new things. The house is very large, but has atmosphere. There is only one disadvantage. I don't like the food. Not enough Franconian, too chic Micki. The music is also unpleasant and annoying.

I took part in the guided tour through the catacombs and the historic brewery, which was very good, and then stopped at the restaurant for a beer.

WE had breakfast and dinner here. Breakfast was like most German hotels except they did not have an omelette station. Excellent cheeses, fruit salad, yogurt, cold cuts (both pork and turkey) and bacon, scrambled eggs, great German black bread, coffee machines. We ate dinner after the opera, so the menu was limited, but it had excellent fish and chips, a good burger and Caesar salad (no anchovies, though), and, of course wonderful dark beer on tap.

A fantastically beautiful atmosphere, very attentive and friendly, youthful staff. In my opinion, the menu is very meat-heavy. Our children didn't like any of the children's meals. The food we ordered seemed mediocre to me. Fish and chips, for example, seemed like you were just eating breading. Nevertheless: an auratic place in Bayreuth.

We were in the garden, the atmosphere is wonderful. Unfortunately, the music is so overwhelming that I decided not to have a conversation. The mayo on the steak was too strong for me, but the meat is excellent. Great beer

Super trendy restaurant, highly recommended!

We had breakfast three times in the restaurant and booked the buffet. Without exception, I have to praise the extremely friendly and competent staff. Please treat your staff well and with respect. Finding people like that isn't easy. The buffet had a good selection of food. There were also a few special selections to be found. It was also appetizingly prepared. I have nothing to criticize in terms of quantity or quality. I thought it was nice that I could make up for coffee as often as I wanted. Lattes and cappuccinos were also available. However, the coffee should come out of the machine much hotter. This can definitely be regulated somewhere. I didn't understand the space allocation. There were hardly any guests there. In this respect, I would have liked to have chosen a bright window seat. The allocated space far away from daylight didn't appeal to me. Would it be a problem to let the guests choose for themselves when everything is still free? In the afternoon we were there to have a drink on the terrace. I found the two seats with the small side table very pleasant. The selection of drinks was huge. I tried two drinks that I didn't know and loved them. As with breakfast, the staff were very quick and competent. In my opinion the price is at the upper limit.

We were only there for breakfast (and once for a drink late at lunchtime) because the small "to go" in the hotel did not meet the expectations of a breakfast. The price of around 24 euros per person for the breakfast buffet is okay for now. But it's not cheap and I would have liked foregoing the small breakfast in the hotel to have had an impact on either the room price or the buffet price. The selection is okay, but the icing on the cake is missing for a first-class breakfast. The coffee isn't really hot, and every guest touches the bread they cut themselves with their hands. Freshly ground nougat cream is fun, but it is hardly sweetened and is no substitute for a really good cream. The selection of jams is small, the "strawberry sauce" runs from every bread or roll. The selection of sausages isn't big, but it's okay. Cheese selection fits. A juice (orange) and a strawberry smoothie (takes some getting used to and not very cold) doesn't cut it. However, the quality of the things available is good. The service staff was friendly, but we don't really understand why they put us at the back of the restaurant on the third day even though everything at the front was free. But at least they didn't forget us and asked if everything was okay. At lunchtime we had a quick drink, which was easily possible even without registering. The selection of beers is enormous (unfortunately so are the prices). You can sit outside on the large chairs and enjoy the sun. I've found a new favorite here. A red fruit beer from Belgium (Liefmans) in the non-alcoholic version. We are in Bayreuth once a year and will try the dinner next time... and then rate it.

Ideal accommodation with beautiful, adjacent restaurants.

Anlässlich unseres Festspielbesuchs haben wir bereits zum zweiten Mal im angrenzenden Hotel übernachten und unsere Mahlzeiten (Frühstück sowie Abendessen) wie immer im Liebesbier Restaurant eingenommen. Der Service sowohl morgens als auch abends war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Man fühlt sich sofort sehr wohl. Das Frühstückbuffet bietet eine große Auswahl an verschiedenen Broten, Brötchen, Käse, Wurst, Früchte, Müsli und vieles mehr. Alles in ausgezeichneter Qualität. Die Abendessen an drei aufeinander folgenden Abenden waren ebenfalls von ausgezeichneter Qualität. Die Auswahl ist groß, und selbst nach Ende der Aufführung im Festspielhaus ist die Küche noch geöffnet. Insgesamt eine sehr ansprechende und coole Location.

Sat in the last stuffy corner. The service is sometimes aggressive, annoyed or untrained. The price/performance ratio leaves a lot to be desired for some of the food...the “cheaper” food is surprising. Even after a complaint, oven-fresh bread was at least from the previous day. After the last visit 4 years ago, this time the cleanliness of the toilets was an absolute disappointment.

Toller Biergarten, gutes Essen, Bestes Bier vom Fass. Die Burger gehen wahlweise mit Salat statt mit Brot. Drinnen laut, aber draußen herrlich.

We celebrated our wedding in the Liebesbier brewery. From the first contact to the end of our celebration, everything was professionally organized and perfectly planned, the service was very attentive and quick and special requests were implemented. We are completely satisfied and couldn't have imagined a better location for our celebration! Absolutely recommended.

Great location, which is very well attended. Food was ok. The tartare was exceptional and I would order it again and again. The burger, however, was a bit too dry. The breakfast is nothing special and could have been saved.

Hands down one of the best breakfast places I have been to in the whole of Germany! Large outdoors and indoors seating area, very atmospheric, delicious concoctions like the croissant breakfast burger, and I had the egg and avocado eggs Benedict, scrambled eggs done to perfection.

Es gab ein Frühstücksbuttet Es war Auswahl vorhanden, aber begrenzt. Waren nicht so begeistert. Für Veggi gab es verschiedene Aufstriche süß und deftig und auch Veggi Wurst. Fanden es preislich ziemlich teuer für fast 24€.

A brewer does not necessarily make a good hotelier! And focusing everything on decor to the detriment of hospitality does not necessarily lead to a good customer experience. Impersonal hotel and above all without staff from reception to breakfast to the sauna you will only speak with screens and the rare humans you come across will not have a smile. The breakfast is minimalist, not to say ridiculous. The restaurant is good In a word, a sleeping box with the price of a classic hotel. Go your way

Greatest steak far and wide. Unfortunately, you can only get real steaks (mans cut, ladies cut) from 5 p.m. Great with the grilled vegetables. The ambience is also super stylish. Located right on the river. Endless beer selection, not just the own brands. Mega!

Top service and ambience! The Maissels Brewery really has a wide variety of different beers. The children's playground with the slide is also great.

Nice ambience. But the price-performance ratio leaves a lot to be desired: the food wasn't tasty, the coffee was cold, only the drinks were good. There was no bicycle parking space to be found. The waitresses were nice and accommodating. Would only recommend the love beer for drinks and not with food.

The reason for our visit was our 2nd wedding anniversary. We both decided on a delicious steak and were initially dissatisfied with the doneness. The very nice service was very accommodating and took the food back to the kitchen to check, as they had often had problems with the light on the terrace distorting the color of the doneness. She came back with photos of the steak and was able to confirm the correct degree of doneness. We thought that was great service. The dessert topped it all off. All in all a successful evening. Gladly again.
