Liebesbier in Bayreuth is quite different from what you'd normally find in the city – the selection of beers is particularly impressive. We also took a tour of the catacombs, which is definitely recommended and should be booked in advance. The food arrived incredibly quickly, even though the place was packed, and the staff regularly checked if we needed anything. Anyone visiting Bayreuth should definitely check out this unique establishment!

Tables are rarely given to families with children...preferably to 4 adults behind one in the queue.

We actually just wanted to enjoy a beer and a small snack and were a bit disappointed that there was no food available outside. So we sat inside and were very pleasantly surprised. Great atmosphere, friendly service, and really, really delicious food. The small snack turned into schnitzel, salad, fish and chips, a burger, and, to satisfy my very slight hunger, sweet potato fries with a delicious BBQ sauce. The small beer tasting with five different varieties was great, and the selection was huge. We also found something we liked in the shop, and we bought our first Christmas presents. Highly recommended. Maybe even a guided tour next time.

We had a great time, even though we don't drink beer. There's something for everyone. The ice cream was very good. The beetroot dumplings were a dream. One minor drawback was that the sirloin steak was already cut into small strips. But that's a matter of taste.

A wonderful and relaxing time at Liebesbier From the super-interesting menu, I opted for the pulled shoulder of pork the night before, with a huge selection of beers, as well as delicious alcoholic and non-alcoholic cocktails. The hotel rooms are exactly my taste. Wooden elements and colors combined with black or anthracite surfaces in a super-modern, urban style. A sophisticated bathroom, a walk-in shower with a rain shower, and everything spotlessly clean. The highlight the following day was the barbecue event "We love BBQ" with the world barbecue champion, a fantastic selection of dishes, including vegan options, with consistently high-quality ingredients. The event was accompanied by a friendly and cheerful DJ, whose perfectly chosen beats created an absolutely relaxed atmosphere. Special praise goes to the always attentive and courteous service staff, who were almost never empty-handed (chapeau!). The price-performance ratio is perfect!

A successful blend of urban flair and Franconian hospitality. The huge selection of beer specialties from all over the world, expertly recommended by the friendly staff, is always particularly impressive. The food is excellent. Fresh, creative, and of top-notch quality. Whether burgers, steaks, or vegetarian dishes, there's something for everyone here, and everything is served with great attention to detail. The desserts are also a delight. The service is attentive, fast, and warm; you feel welcome from the very first moment. If you appreciate good food, an exceptional beer selection, and a stylish ambiance, you should definitely stop by here.

Super fast and friendly service, outstanding beer, and inventive and top-notch food. What more could you want?

As beer lovers, we wanted dinner for two. We didn't have a reservation, and the restaurant was busy, but not full. The lady at the reception explained to us that, according to instructions from "top management," she wasn't allowed to assign tables without reservations. If we just wanted a drink, that was possible. We left and find it a disgrace that guests who would bring in revenue are scared away with such comments from unfriendly, snippy staff.

We were very hungry, but weren't allowed to order a starter until we knew what we wanted for the main course. The starters were very good. For the main course, I had steak fries. The medium steak I ordered was completely cooked, and the fries were way too salty. For dessert, we had Beeramismu in the form of a Black Forest cake. Unfortunately, everything just tasted like cherries. The cake batter and cream had no flavor. Our empty drinks were also constantly ignored. It's possible that the people bringing the food aren't allowed to take orders, but I ask anyway and send the right waiter over? For this price range, we expect more.

A great dining spot with direct access to Maisel's Beer Experience. The food is partly modern and tastes very good. There's also a great outdoor terrace with a wide selection of drinks.

First time at Liebesbier. Awesome place. Super friendly service. Very good food. Prices in line with current prices. The restroom doors were difficult to lock. I also expected the ladies' area to have hygiene products... (since it's a young and hip place). I'd definitely come back – also to try out the outdoor terrace.

They really don’t care about customers.

The visit was a success story: although we arrived a little earlier than planned, we were provisionally served the best at the bar. Then, at our table, the service was super friendly and relaxed – we weren't quick to order, especially considering the extensive menu with its many delicious items. And then there was the beer selection... We felt more than welcome, and as a reward, we were treated to great food, perfectly served. Unfortunately, due to geographical constraints, we only come here twice a year, so we're already really looking forward to our next visit!

I'd be happy to come back anytime. I was even surprised with a birthday cake. The new lounge/bar area is elegantly designed with street art.

Great beer shop with all the Maisel & Friends specials and a large craft beer selection. Always a good place to stop off the A9 motorway for a craft beer shopping break.

We stopped at the Liebesbier Restaurant on our way through, and it was absolutely delicious. The ambiance is amazing, the staff super friendly, and the food was fantastic. We'll definitely stop by again next time we're in the area.

We were there yesterday with my in-laws, and it was just perfect: the ambiance – totally charming with its mix of brick, modern industrial style, and cozy corners – perfect vibe from the very first moment. The service was very friendly and accommodating, attentive without being intrusive. To drink, we had a non-alcoholic and a regular beer. Particularly great: the half-and-half beer – my highlight of the evening, aromatic and perfectly flavored. I had the vegan chickpea hemp burger with house fries and BBQ dip – totally convincing, super tasty, and beautifully hearty. Afterwards, we treated ourselves to a chocolate cake and the beer amisu – oh man, dessert heaven! The online menu offers a pretty cool selection: "crazy burgers," the finest "best of veggie" dishes, and imaginative desserts – perfectly matched what we enjoyed. The attention to detail, regional ingredients, and creative ideas – you can feel them in every bite. For me, it was an absolutely perfect evening: a fantastic location, friendly service, super-delicious food, and a beer experience you won't soon forget. 5 stars, full marks!

ATTENTION! You have to pay to park on premise even if you are a guest of the restaurant. If you miss that you will receive a letter with a hefty fine from a contracted company which is never reachable via phone despite "opening" hours mentioned on the fine letter. This is the one-and-only restaurant parking lot that charges its guests that I know and it is not in downtown Munich or Berlin, but in the outskirts of provincial Bayreuth. Out of principle, I will avoid this "unique" place where you are charged parking fees by the bar while tasting a beer or two. Besides: Service very slow, but beers interesting and some very good, food not tasted.

The food isn't really my cup of tea; almost everything looked good, but the prices were also quite expensive. The service was good, and the beers were, of course, very good.

For wheelchair users: I feel very welcome here. Accessible room, everything at wheelchair height. Bathroom with grab bars. Plenty of maneuvering space. Great. Accessible restroom available in the restaurant. Very attentive staff. For everyone: Impressive street art. Good facilities. However, you should like black hallways and dark rooms. I loved it. Restaurant: Creative cuisine, very tasty. VERY! Good staff. Breakfast buffet good, but expensive. The music during breakfast was too overpowering and loud for me personally, especially since it's not to everyone's taste. I really enjoyed my entire stay and highly recommend it.

My fish and chips were very poorly presented and not particularly warm. The service was friendly and attentive. On the expensive side.

We took the brewery tour. This is only possible with a tour guide on your phone. This gives you the opportunity to stay as long as you like. 👍 It was very interesting and highly recommended. As a reward, we got a beer to take home 😉 and a beer tasting in the restaurant. 🍻 From there, you can also easily get to the city center. 👍👍👍

Yes, I can recommend this place, but at the breakfast buffet, there's a Mango, so you have to wait a long time to get a coffee. Two machines are simply not enough for the many seats.

Yes, a very sophisticated, nicely furnished brewery restaurant owned by the Maisel family.

We were there with a larger group (10 people) and everything went perfectly. From the reservation and service to the food, everything was fantastic. The place is much bigger than we expected, so you can also celebrate birthdays and other events there with separate rooms. There's plenty of space inside and outside, and they even cater for kids. The menu has something for everyone, including vegetarian options, small or large portions, and everything is delicious! Highly recommended.

We'd really like to give it 5 stars, but we have to deduct one... I ordered a peach iced tea, which unfortunately tasted mostly like water. It also looked very, very clear... My husband had a pale ale, which was very tasty. My husband's burger was also good, and so was my spaetzle with mushrooms, but both dishes had almost no seasoning and simply tasted bland. After we added more seasoning ourselves, it was fine. The ambiance is great, and the service was super quick and friendly. We found the frequent inquiries about whether everything was okay a tiny bit annoying, sometimes when we were in the middle of a conversation. But it's better than no service at all. So, overall, it's great, but there are a few drawbacks. We'll still give it another chance. ☺️

Ideal for dining during the festival season.

We went there for dinner again today, and unfortunately, the evening wasn't that great. We eat there often, but today the service was very unfriendly, and the main course was cooked incorrectly. I complained politely, of course, but I found the statement that it was due to the lighting absolutely disgusting—sorry. One positive, though, was that they brought out a fresh serving. Regarding service, I simply don't think it's fair to say it's full and I should look around. In a business like this, I think customers should be served properly and be friendly.

We wanted to have lunch there today. Unfortunately, the staff seemed completely overwhelmed. We waited five minutes at the "reception" and were then assigned a small table for two in the center of the hall, even though there were plenty of tables for four or more people available. After 15 minutes, we asked the lady who assigned us a table if we could place an order. The answer was, she'd tell someone. Five minutes later, unfortunately, no one came. We decided not to wait any longer. That's a good way to scare away customers. We definitely won't be back and wouldn't recommend the restaurant. Conclusion: cramped paid parking, 0 service, the ambiance was neither visible nor tangible for us, and the food was very expensive, but we couldn't judge it since we weren't served.

The stunning style, featuring modern, contemporary art, combined with the historic ambiance of the disused old brewery, creates an atmosphere that is stylish, modern, and cozy at the same time. Over 100 beers are available to sample – a true paradise for every beer lover, who will find beer heaven on earth here. Numerous events, such as barbecues and beer tastings, are offered. The sauna is another special highlight, with the option of enjoying a brew straight from the tap. There's also a beautifully designed relaxation area – small but perfectly formed. Everything feels very high-quality and well-thought-out. The breakfast is excellent, but there are longer waits, especially during peak times, partly due to the architectural design. We were there for a wedding – from the attentive service to the fantastic food, everything was truly perfect. The excellent quality of the ingredients and dishes is also worth mentioning. We would definitely come back.

Very nice and very friendly service. Unfortunately, the food isn't particularly great. They try very hard to create unusual combinations, but even after several visits, the taste isn't convincing (for me). On the other hand, the drinks menu is huge and very good.

Great enthusiastic and helpful team The Hotel has very nice design, good quality. The food and beverages are good quality. The hotel indoor Serra a bit loud if it full. One night it was a bit loud (party till 3am), room doors closing are loud (24/7)

We had a wonderful evening with good food. Gluten-free food was no problem.

I stayed there for three nights. The breakfast is okay, but it's not ready by 7 a.m. Reserved tables aren't marked, so you might get evicted from a table that's actually reserved without even noticing. The food is otherwise okay, with some originality, but sometimes it's too much. It's annoying that the fitness room doesn't open until 7 a.m., the same time as breakfast, and the rooms are too dark for my taste.

A very nice place to linger. The food and drinks are simply top-quality. The reserved seating is well attended, and the staff serve you very quickly. Only the bus parking lot is poorly signposted. The car parking spaces, however, are perfectly signposted.

On the evening of July 24, I went to Liebesbier with my parents, who were in town visiting, and unfortunately, we had a very bad experience. The woman at the reception was very rude and made it clear that we weren't welcome. I spoke to her in German, but she acted as if she had difficulty understanding me. She must have noticed that we weren't German. She told us there were no free tables, even though there were plenty of tables available inside. When I asked her about it, she said they were all reserved—even though there were no reservation signs on any of the tables. It was obvious that she didn't want us there. I then went to the bar, and the friendly staff there said we could of course eat at the bar or at one of the tables in the lounge area. I told them what the receptionist had said, and even they were surprised. Truly disappointing.

We stopped in here for a leisurely afternoon snack on two burgers, sharing bread with three different spreads, and water, beer, and a spritz. We managed to get a table without a reservation, but I wouldn't bet on it, especially on weekends and in the evenings. The food and service were good, but I have to say, if I'd just eaten my burger (I skipped the fries), I wouldn't have been full, and with fries, the price easily exceeds €20, which I don't think is cheap for a burger. Otherwise, the place has a very nice, modern design, and I find it a great place for drinks, especially in the evenings.

The place itself is super cool, it has a great atmosphere. My husband's steak was amazing, I had the fish which was pretty good. We loved the drinks selection, but it took a while for the server to take our orders. All in all we liked it, would recommend and will be coming back!

Personally, I find it way too loud. Especially the music. The food is okay, but too expensive.

Thank you for this wonderful dining experience. We ate at Liebesbier one evening and it was very tasty. First the bad thing. There was only one thing that I didn't like, but that's a matter of taste. The meat from animals was hanging in a glass cooler, which I personally didn't find very cool. There were lots of positive things. The food was really tasty, the drinks too, the beer is homemade and there's a lot of other things too. But the best thing was the staff. On the day we were there, it was very busy. Despite everything, our orders arrived within minutes. You could still have a nice chat with the waiters and they were very open. However, the visit was not exactly cheap, but that's not so bad these days. It wasn't overpriced either, but you do have to pay a little when there are four of you.

The food was so-so. The service was terrible; the waiter preferred to chat with other waiters rather than attend to customers. We waited about 25 minutes for a beer (it wasn't very busy). We waited another 15-20 minutes to pay. The place was generally very nice. We weren't the only ones disappointed with the service. Another customer was also waiting at the bar to order a beer until he pointed out that they weren't doing what they should be doing while at work. Everything was handled with great courtesy. I'll come back just because it's the only place nearby that serves craft beer, but the manager could pay more attention to the people he employs.

Definitely visit, it is an experience

Liebesbier is something of a love-hate relationship. For Bayreuth, and indeed the entire region, Liebesbier is certainly an asset. The beer selection is undoubtedly first-class and varied. There's first-class communication about which beer pairs with the food, meaning the food pairings and the selection of dishes are diverse, high-quality, innovative, and truly well-prepared. The staff is also really well-trained. The location itself is simply an impressive beer hall that celebrates the theme. What rarely leaves me feeling truly happy, however, is the price. Although I certainly appreciate the quality, in my opinion, you always pay more than what you're used to for comparable quality. At least when you're traveling in cities like Berlin, Cologne, etc. Our last visit cost us €140 for four people. A total of three small beers, one shandy, two sodas, two appetizers, two burgers with fries, one fish & chips, one espresso, and one cappuccino. Quite expensive for lunch (and even dinner). If you're prepared for that, but definitely an experience that every lover of good beer and food should have at least once. As long as there isn't a restaurant of similarly high quality, I'll definitely be back.

Nice place with a cozy atmosphere, a lovely outdoor area, and a wide variety of beers. They had delicious LB burgers 🍔 (gluten-free option!) and dark beer 🍺. Definitely recommend it.

I only want to review the restaurant here. We had the following dishes: Asparagus with ham and teres major. The waitress recommended medium rare. Unfortunately, the meat was at most medium done, or more like well done. When I asked if it really should be medium rare, I was told, "It's because of the lighting here, 💡 I could come in and it would look different." ???? Unfortunately, that doesn't change the fact that the meat was dry and overcooked. The waitress unfortunately didn't try to offer a solution. My wife's asparagus was unfortunately raw. It cracked like a carrot 🥕. Potatoes as a side dish were a convenience! Our waitress subsequently avoided asking if we were satisfied! The lady wanted to avoid a confrontation here. The ambiance outside is very nice, albeit a bit noisy. But this is definitely a recommendation. So if you'd like a drink and like your steak well done, this is the place for you.

As always, Liebesbier is worth a visit. Whether for a business lunch, a romantic dinner, or simply for one of their delicious drinks. Not only can you choose from over 100 beers, there are also delicious cocktails and homemade drinks. If you can't find what you're looking for, no one can help you.^^ Today's food was truly outstanding again. The highest quality, which you can simply taste. We can't think of anything that could be improved. It's simply a pleasure to linger in this beautiful ambiance. Attention to detail and the highest quality materials are immediately noticeable and appreciated. Highly recommended to everyone!!! The only difficult thing is the parking situation. But there's usually a solution :)

It's expensive, but the value is absolutely right. The food tastes very good, the menu isn't overcrowded, and there's a great selection of beers. The breakfast is also top-notch.

A super delicious gluten-free burger! The staff is very knowledgeable about which products are gluten-free and which aren't. There were several gluten-free options, so there was something for everyone.

I can't rate the food, service was okay and could be a bit faster, especially since there wasn't much going on.

We were there for the breakfast buffet. For €24 per person, you get a good selection :) Fresh ginger shot and berry smoothie, waffles on a stick, two kinds of egg, various breads, and a good cheese platter! We managed to get a seat without a reservation on a Friday.

Beautiful outdoor location, fast, very empathetic, and competent staff; delicious food and drinks. We're looking forward to an overnight stay at Liebesbier soon, as we've been dying to try a beer tasting.
