As a previously satisfied hotel guest and restaurant visitor, I was disappointed with a dinner buffet at a company event. Great ambience, excellent service but unfortunately the food does not live up to the standards of the restaurant and my previous good experiences.

We came to the restaurant to redeem a gift voucher. We have known the “Liebesbier” for years and have actually always been very satisfied. Unfortunately we had no luck that evening. The dish we ordered, “Ostrich ragout with root vegetables and mashed potatoes,” did not convince us in any way. It tasted 1:1 like venison goulash and didn't add any special highlights. It's a shame, there's still a lot of room for improvement. A mixed salad with octopus also failed to provide a taste explosion because the salad was not prepared in a balanced way. Unfortunately, the much bitter chicory was given priority among the salad varieties and thus destroyed the actual taste of the salad. A great ambience and first-class service are not everything; a well-crafted kitchen is also part of it. In any case, price/performance was not right this time.

Incompetent and extremely unfriendly staff, a limited selection of drinks, unclean sanitary facilities.

If you love American cuisine, you simply have to go there. The only thing that bothered our group of four was the music from the DJ being too loud. Otherwise perfect Thursday evening!

We were here with our company and also stayed overnight. The brewery tour - and the beer tasting - was very interesting and we had a lot of fun. The food in the evening was good. The adjacent hotel is really very chic and the rooms are tastefully decorated. Large shower and bed. I felt comfortable there. The breakfast buffet was already bombastic. I can't think of anything that would be missing there. There was everything from salmon to ginger shot. The service staff is incredibly friendly and present. Will come back.

The atmosphere is great, the waiters are all in a good mood and funny. Very expensive. But it was a nice evening.

A must when visiting Bayreuth is a catacomb tour (with a beer)!

Great location with super nice staff.

Unfortunately a very disappointing experience. We were a large group and the two of us ordered the spare ribs. The portion was quite small for the price, but what was really cool was that the ribs consisted of 70% fat and were barely edible. When we pointed this out to the waitress, she said it was just the cut. We had the same cut from the butcher before, and it definitely wasn't as fatty. There was no apology or anything like that. In addition, the ribs were served without a side dish, which you had to pay extra for. €40 for almost exclusively fatty ribs is really overpriced. But the highlight was when the waitress brought the second identical cocktail. When I put the glass down it was immediately apparent that it was significantly smaller than the first time - but the price was still the same. Something like this shouldn't happen in a restaurant in this price range.

I've eaten at this restaurant several times and have never been disappointed. The service was very friendly and always available. The breakfast is also highly recommended 👍

The restaurant is of course designed cool, but it is incredibly loud in places, which is simply not possible when it is full. The food was good, but not outstanding. We were there on a Saturday evening. Our group (15 people) had to wait at least 1.5 hours, sometimes even longer, for the main courses. There was no warning that it would take so long and no apology after the fact. For us, this is not a normal waiting time and cannot be dismissed as “we wanted everything to arrive at the same time” and “it’s just Saturday”. In other restaurants you are better prepared for large groups and everyone comes at the same time.

The burgers and beer were great, but the käspätzle were made from spelled flour, which was very noticeable in the taste. Service was ok.

Great ambience. Huge beer selection. A beer is recommended with every meal. There is something for children to paint and a children's menu.

I had lunch at Liebesbier and chose the pulled pork burger with fries. The burger was huge, making the fries almost unnecessary, and tasted very good. The beer selection is very extensive with many specialty beers and the menu is also varied. The service is very friendly and attentive. The atmosphere is partly modern, partly cozy. In terms of price, the love beer is within the usual range.

If you're looking forward to a brewery restaurant, this is the wrong place. Dear beer has a completely different concept here. Not old Franconian cuisine but rather modern and international cuisine. The atmosphere in the restaurant and the very friendly and fast service staff lead to a 4 star rating. We were there for the first time with seven people and we agreed. The portion sizes don't match the price. The burgers tasted quite good. The pulled pork with mashed potatoes was way too dry three times.

After the Museums Rundgo, we only ate an appetizer as a snack to accompany the tasting board, but the way it was presented suggests that there will be other good dishes to come.

Super great restaurant, modern furnishings, great cuisine, very friendly and competent service and then a huge selection of beer. An absolute recommendation for beer enthusiasts and all food lovers.

We were at Maisel & Friends in Bayreuth as part of an event organized by the Association of Certified Beer Sommeliers. Check-in was carried out digitally on site without any problems and the Urban Art is a crazy hotel. Stylish and perfectly equipped. Everything in black takes some getting used to at first, but it adds to the overall impression. The dark walls make the works of art stand out much better and shine with a special shine. The love beer scored highly in a private setting on Tuesday and was a culinary treat. Personally, I would never have made pulled pork on mashed potatoes. This is so cool that we will cook it at home. The service was second to none. Fast and precise. We were asked again and again if everything was ok or if we needed anything. In terms of price, everything fits perfectly. The food was reasonably priced and good beer also costs money. A little tip: the beer menu is sensational and full of treasures. On Saturday we had a closed party. Our gala evening was coming up. 3 courses with appropriate beer accompaniment. What a fantastic evening. We will remember the entire visit to Liebesbier, Urban Art and the Maisel Erlebniswelt for a long time and we will be happy to recommend this hotel to others. A big thank you goes to the entire team (no matter where) and especially to Micha von Maisel.

Das Frühstück lässt keine Wünsche offen. Heissgetränke in allen Varianten, Säfte, Beerensmoothie und für die Gesundheit einen Ingwershot. Leckeres Brot, Brezeln, Brötchen und Croissant, Wurst, Biokäse, viele nette Kleinigkeiten und sogar Nussmus zum selbermachen. Alles sehr lecker!!!!!

Very tasty food, especially the BBQ sauce. Just as a tip the gluten free bread on the burger was really difficult to cut.

Very nice location with delicious food. The beer tasting board is highly recommended. The acoustics could be improved, sometimes very loud. Unfortunately, the service wasn't that attentive, perhaps due to our seat being a bit off to the side.

I was there for an event for three days. I was able to experience all areas (hotel, museum, event rooms, restaurant) several times. This property, especially the positive vibe of the entire staff, was the best I've experienced so far! Absolutely extraordinary performance and incredibly attentive as a person.

A very nice restaurant especially for beer lovers. The menu is extensive and offers a wide selection for meat lovers as well as vegetarians and vegans. What is particularly impressive is that each dish comes with its own beer recommendation. The staff was friendly and attentive. Both the starters and the main courses are designed in a modern way and impress by combining new ideas with classic cuisine. Overall, the food is very tasty and also beautifully and lovingly prepared. A nice place to go if you are looking for a restaurant with fine cuisine in Bayreuth.

I think this restaurant is very nice, it has a very interesting concept, the food is also good. However, I want to mention some points to keep in mind to improve... We had to wait for the table having a reservation because it was still busy and yet we had to wait a lot longer for our dishes and then for the bill, it was too hot and You could hardly talk because of the noise. This time the experience was somewhat stressful.

We have spareribs for 2 people for the princely price of €39.00. About half of the portion was pure fat. We were told it was the special cut! St. LOUIS CUT. Wikipedia says that this cut has a particularly high amount of meat. At night our stomachs were VERY active. The waitress “compensated” with a mini herbal liquor. Expensive and not enjoyable

The perfect hotel in Bayreuth. 10 min walk from the center. Easy parking. Very nice rooms and surroundings. Easy online check-in. Excellent breakfast (extra charge) in the associated restaurant. The restaurant is lively, but since it is in a separate building it does not bother you. Remember to reserve a table for the evening, as it seems to be very popular.

Recommended brewery with a large selection of good beers. Some nice wines are also offered and the food is good. The attached hotel is also very good, modern and everything is there, including parking spaces. Highly recommended: the rich breakfast. Summary: If you're back in Bayreuth, go for the love beer. 😊

Delicious!! I would come back to try everything! The service is fast, it is good and very delicious. I recommend the place since it is very beautiful, family-friendly, and large. The only thing that disappointed me were the drinks, too much ice, 2 times after drinking the drink is finished and the only thing I can see was ice. I would return and next time I will ask for ice separately.

An absolute highlight Is worth its price

Being part of the Maisels brewery, you can tell that nothing was saved. 100 beer variations leave nothing to be desired and the cuisine here is well above the brewery restaurant average. Clear recommendation with the note: it's better to reserve in advance!

I know Maisels Weisse or Maisels & Friends. Now I was in the brewery, more precisely in the in-house restaurant. The atmosphere is inviting and cozy with modern street art on the walls. Even the food is not typical brewery food. But it comes fresh with modern notes. It is only recommended. You can comfortably stop here with beer and food.

We had two LB burgers and were really disappointed with the meat. This was somehow very coarse, slightly gristly and hard. The rest of the burger and the fries were great, but unfortunately this really spoiled the taste experience. I have never had such a bad patty at any other burger place.

A hip restaurant with an interesting menu that is constantly being revised. Interesting selection of beers and very nice friendly staff, definitely a presentable place to go with friends and business guests. However, everything is in a slightly higher price range.

We've only been there to drink so far, but I'll catch up on the food. Sat directly at the bar and the ambience as well as the service + music are very modern and top.

A very special restaurant, everything has something to do with beer. It's really beautiful and has a great atmosphere. And the food was very tasty. We had the pulled pork burger and pulled pork. Both were super tasty and the quality of the food was really good. For dessert we ordered the Bieramisu, which I can only recommend. It's really worth coming here.

In addition to the countless beers straight from the tap and at least the same number of special bottled beers, we really enjoyed the food. Here you are practically forced to come a second time in order to be able to try at least a small portion of all the drinks and food

We just wanted to have a beer. That probably wasn't enough for the staff. Waiting forever to order. Some of what I ordered came wrong. The bill came with a very long delay. The beer was a great experience. The service needs improvement.

There were four of us there yesterday and if we wanted to eat something there wasn't a shortage of staff! Then we decided to just have a quick drink, the neighboring table was annoyed because they had been waiting for drinks for 30 minutes! Then we left again!

We go there every year for our wedding anniversary because it just blows us away every time. The waitresses are very friendly and personable. The food is always amazing and tastes excellent. The beer itself is a matter of taste, I personally like it very much. 👍🏼
