Great ambience, delicious food. After the catacomb tour we went to dinner here to try the beer noodle bowl. Very tasty, a little too spicy and as a result other flavors were lost, but hey, very good for an experience restaurant. The range of vegan and vegetarian dishes is also great. I found the long wait for the drinks a shame. 20 minutes until the drink arrived after ordering. The restaurant wasn't completely full and there were a lot of staff behind the bar, so drinks simply have to go faster. Still a full recommendation if you're out and about in the adventure world anyway.

Best steaks in town. We had the lady's cut and the roast beef. Great quality. Cooking level medium-rare. The beer herb butter and the pepper sauce are highly recommended. I can recommend the potato gratin. There was no salt in the cheese spaetzle. Service was attentive and friendly. There is a lot of beer. Perfect if you want to try something out, but the Bayreuth classics are also on the menu. The desserts didn't really appeal to me, so I ended up with cocktails. I was particularly pleasantly surprised by the basil cocktail. I didn't know that yet. Paid 110€ with tip. Absolutely worth the price. Would definitely reserve. It's also nice to sit outside. In addition to the food, the other offerings in the house are also worth checking out.

Food was okay, unfortunately the rib eye steak wasn't medium rare. The spaetzle had too little cheese. Service was top. The ambience was nice but the background noise was too loud for me. The tables are also too close together in my opinion.

Quaint restaurant with a great beer list and attentive staff

I regularly come to Liebesbier to enjoy a beer. It always remains varied with competent advice and the beer is tapped and presented perfectly even in stressful situations. This is how beer culture and enjoyment is fun! The food is also convincing, especially the burgers and the meat selection, which are constant parts of the menu, are great. In my opinion the best meat in the city, the special cuts from the dry ager are beyond any doubt. A delight for every beef enthusiast. The ambience and atmosphere are perfectly matched to the style of the menu and the restaurant, you can tell that someone with a strong concept has created a well-rounded thing here! For beer culture, Liebesbier is THE address in Bayreuth, although it can also be completely convincing in any other discipline. So head to the bar and enjoy a perfectly tapped cellar beer, craft beer or something exotic from faraway America!

Good food and nice service that could be a little more attentive. Unfortunately toilets are not tidy.

We went to Liebesbier two days in a row because we liked it so much the first night that we wanted to try more of the food and beers. The ambience is incredible, a large and spacious restaurant with a cool look, a fireplace here, beer barrels there and cozy corners to linger everywhere. The pictures of celebrities who stayed here, such as Bella B. and Till Schweiger, also speak for the quality of these rooms. We particularly liked the beer tasting board. When putting it together, you could easily find out your own taste. The ingredients of the dishes were of high quality and the food was a great taste experience. Totally recommended!

Tasty, clean, friendly Unfortunately 6 stars are not possible...highly recommended. And, even if it's just a minor matter, the cleanliness of the toilet deserves its own mention.

Everything was great, I can highly recommend it

For me personally, the Liebesbier in Bayreuth is the outstanding location for beer culture in Germany - a real temple for fans of cultivated beer enjoyment. This combines first-class diner cuisine with high-quality, regional ingredients, an impressive maturing cabinet, its own bakery and coffee roastery, and an outstanding selection of draft and bottled beers. The beautiful ambience and the warm, inviting atmosphere complete the experience perfectly. I think it's rare to find such diversity, quality and passion for good beer and good food. What's particularly impressive to me is that Jeff Maisel has created a unique place here to represent his Maisel & Friends brand - lived friendship and beer culture can really be fully experienced here. For me, Liebesbier is the first address in the region to celebrate the completion of successful projects with customers - often combined with a private tour or a visit to the beer museum, which is well worth seeing. We were staying at the hotel next door and came here for dinner. We also tried some of the beers, there was a great variety to choose from. The food we ordered Roast Beef and Lammhaxe were absolutely delicious. A wonderful spot for a tasty meal and a good drink!

Super brilliant beer selection that you can try with the ale tasting tray. The selection of dishes is so diverse that we made reservations for the next day because we wanted to try even more. (is certainly recommended, especially on weekends) We were completely thrilled from the first sip of beer to the last spoonful of ice cream/cheesecake.

The food was good, but nothing special for the price. We ate here as a group. The ambience is trying to be hip, but unfortunately also very loud. The restaurant is not recommended for groups of more than four people as it is difficult to have a conversation in the noisy environment. The toilets were a disaster - dirty and broken. This is where the upscale ambience ends and leaves a negative impression.

Excellent selection of food and drinks, with a particular focus on beer. The burgers are first class and the small but fine dessert selection is convincing without exception. The beer amisu is definitely worth trying. Plus a chic location, friendly service and a chill out in the evening with a great DJ. Full recommendation!

Nice ambience, modern industrial look. Unfortunately it's no longer as upscale as it used to be. More aimed at the masses, which is understandable given the demand. Food came very, very quickly, almost too quickly. It was still very tasty! Unfortunately, there is no menu with allergen information. You have to check the terms and conditions dish by dish. Unpleasant for both sides.

If you were in Bayreuth without stopping by Maisel & Friends, you weren't in Bayreuth. This is how modern gastronomy works for young and old. The map is small but nice, prices lower than expected, the staff is genuinely friendly and the atmosphere, in the old rooms of the brewery, with great attention to detail and the necessary sensitivity is a perfect mix of industry and art. I couldn't find anything that would have warranted one star less.

The food tastes great, there is enough beer to choose from and it rounded off the evening perfectly. The ambience is very nice and has lots of details. The waitresses were very nice and accommodating. All in all, highly recommended for a nice evening alone or with friends.

The hotel is worth seeing and very modern. Everything is included within the hotel, sauna, fitness, non-alcoholic drinks, breakfast to go. The restaurant didn't pick me up, I had three cocktails, two of which were really bad. The food is too expensive and the feeling was a bit like mass tourism.

I had the pleasure of staying at the Liebesbier Urban Art & Smart Hotel in Bayreuth. The hotel impressively combines modern design with urban art to create a unique atmosphere. Each room has been individually designed by international artists, giving each room its own character.   Another highlight is the attached restaurant, Liebesbier, which not only impresses with a diverse selection of beers, but also offers culinary excellence at the highest level. The combination of excellent food and the impressive art on the walls creates a special ambience.

A bit more expensive BUT: the restaurant is beautifully decorated with a wonderful beer garden, good food, and not to mention a wide variety of beers: craft beer, beers from all over the world, Franconian beer, and, of course, excellent wheat (white) beer. Everything is there: large and small tables, upholstered furniture, a bar. Knowledgeable staff – they really know their stuff.

My favorite spot other than Mann's Brâu in Bayreuth

Went there as part of a brewery tour, great brewery with a nice story in love beer, you can eat wonderfully, the ambience is great.

Pleasant surprise, very good beer selection and great variety of food options. Service was also relatively fast for such a big venue. Ps: do not forget to pay for parking if you arrive with car, and bring some coins for the machine.

The staff is very friendly. We had lunch on the terrace in the sunshine. The food was very good 👍 We'll definitely be back.

We are thrilled and will definitely come back! 😎 The decor of the room is stylish and unique. We really liked the sauna area and we were able to relax wonderfully. We each enjoyed dinner in the Liebesbier Restaurant and it was the finest. We will be reporting on this delicious meal for a long time, because these culinary delights will remain in our memories! Finally, we stocked up in the shop to tide us over until the next visit 😉 the salesman was extremely friendly and tried to help us when we were spoiled for choice... in the end we took almost all the beers that we tried on the two days we were there 😅 take a look at it, try it for yourself... you won't be disappointed! 🤗

5 stars, but only 4 for food? First of all, the food was consistently delicious. No matter whether it's the spare ribs, the burger or the beef fillet. For the 5th star in the food category, I'm missing a few things: The beef fillet from New Zealand. Seriously? Where is the regionality? You have such a harmonious concept in Love Beer, meat with a 23 hour flight time doesn't fit in there. Spare ribs for 2 people, 5 spare ribs on the board…. Just because I get along so well with my son, there were no fights over the delicious meat 😃 Can be solved better. The portion was really manageable for 2. Complaining on a high level, I know, but you can always learn 😉 Ambience and service perfect as always.

We came across the open terrace and sat at one of the free tables. The waitress comes and says “I don't have a free choice of seats, go in”. So pack up again and go in, wait, only to be seated at the same table again. It continued like this. Why is everything so unnecessarily complicated here?

Very centrally located. And very nicely done in an industrial style. The rooms were excellent with soundproofing. What was particularly great was that you can set the air conditioning to the exact degree you want. Just the way you want it. The TV in the room was also very large. The bathroom was also really stylish. We liked it very much. If we are there, we would come again. In any case.

We went to the breakfast buffet and there was definitely a selection. The aisle directly at the buffet is a little narrow, but there's no other way to solve it. I just felt sorry for the service when the ladies couldn't answer it. Because everyone was just standing there. A queue quickly formed at the coffee machines. Price/performance is definitely top. Parking lot now has a barrier and has to be paid for. After 2 hours another €3.60 was gone

The two of us were at the Liebesbier in Bayreuth. Since we knew that it was always busy, we had made a reservation for two hours. Location, service, volume, seating and lighting were very pleasant. Evening menu is very easy as the only sheet on the table - very well done. The waiting time for the main courses was bridged with delicious bread and salads. The medium fried rip eye with the sauces and the sweet potato fries were an absolute dream. We've eaten a lot of steaks, but this is ultra awesome. The taste of the meat cannot be put into words. Between the two of us, we didn't even pay a total of 110 euros including tips. We'll be back - for sure!!!!! Many thanks to the kitchen, the service and the owners, please just keep it up!

We were invited, the restaurant is not far from the H4 Hotel. Unfortunately, the parking options are not that special because you have to pay. It's pretty quaint inside, which I really liked. The service was very friendly and attentive, but the food wasn't that convincing. I had ribs for two with braised vegetables with my daughter. Ribs had a fairly thick fatty rind and the vegetables were swimming in a fatty broth. My stomach had been struggling all night. My husband had a steak that was quite tough in places and impossible to chew. All in all, it was worth a visit, but we wouldn't go there again. Sorry

Went to LB for dinner with 6 people yesterday. First of all I would like to say that I love such rustic places. The service is great, always friendly and very attentive. The food was super tasty. The only downer was that we waited a long time for the food. Complaining at a high level.😉

The food is absolutely overpriced. The burger I had was ordered well done, was served Medium rare. The Käsespätzle were blend. All in all the food wasnt Worth more than 5 euros, we paid 32 euros. OVERPRICED AND BAD FOOD QUALITY

Espresso was good, but the one from a year ago, I suspect a different type of brewing or machine, was much better. As always, the house lemonade is varied in its fruit mixtures. +++ Again about the service, frequent inquiries about satisfaction and further requests. You don't find employees like that that often. Thank you. About the price: If everything fits on Valentine's Day, I'll be happy to pay a euro or two more. The conclusion: Once again an all-round successful lunch menu with a desire for more. Whatsss? 4.5 rating... that can't be right. We have been here several times and have come especially from Nuremberg. This time we even stay at the Hotel Liebesbier. As the Franks would say, this restaurant is outstanding, we can't add anything. One of the best restaurants we have ever eaten in and there were many. A straight 5.0 with stars, simply amazing.

Incredibly good. I always wait and rarely evaluate on the first visit. But it was sooo often so good that this review should have come much earlier. I can say with conviction that it is one of the best restaurants I have had the pleasure of visiting.

Terrible experience. From the greeting to the farewell, everyone doesn't seem to care about anything. Service is bored and literally ignores guests. In front of me, people loudly made fun of other guests. I ate a salad that was unfortunately really disgusting. How are you going to sell decent meat when the salad is so bad? Of course, no one cared that the plate was returned full. Probably no one would have cared if I had just left like that.

The hotel is automated and you check in yourself electronically. If you have problems, you can go to the opposite, but related, restaurant. The restaurant is special and beautifully decorated. The staff is friendly. The food was always very good. The drinks too. The breakfast offered is also very good. Depending on the season and day, you may want to reserve a table, as the restaurant has always been well attended. There are parking spaces directly between the hotel and the restaurant, about 2-3 minutes away on foot - there is also a large parking lot (but you have to pay). The restaurant also has a shop that offers everything related to beer.

Wir wollten im Mai ein Klassentreffen mit 35 Personen bei Liebesbier feiern. Mein Mann reservierte telefonisch im Dezember 2024 für Mai 2025. Die Reservierung wurde telefonisch angenommen. Im Januar hatten wir nochmals telefonisch angefragt, ob unsere Reservierung steht. Diese wurde bestätigt. Den Abend sollten wir mit dem Team per e-Mail klären. Dies versuchten wir. Allerdings wurde uns mitgeteilt, dass keine Reservierung vorliegt und dass an dem Abend, in dem von uns gebuchten Zeitfenster, keine Kapazität besteht. Nach mehreren e-Mails hin und her wurden wir sehr freundlich ausgeladen. Hier scheint die rechte Hand nicht zu wissen, was die linke Hand tut. Schade! Ich hätte die Location gerne weiter empfohlen.

I have gone to Liebesbier 4 times in the last 9 months. It is bar none the best place for food in a 30km area. I am always looking forward to the food experience - I do, always, say a prayer for the service experience. Unfortunately yesterday was no experience. The waiting to order, to receive food and the in between time takes so much away from the food experience that it becomes a point of irritation. Yesterday we waited 80 minutes between finishing our starters to receive our main courses - and then we were told that part of the side dishes were no longer available. Show a minimum amount of effort. This is a shame and should not require much effort to sort out from the leadership team - alas this has not been achieved in the 4 times I have gone there and I wonder if I should look for alternatives going forward.

Unfortunately, I had to withdraw my review this summer because it was no longer true. No one listens when ordering. I wanted to celebrate my birthday there. Thank you for such a lovely birthday that ended in disaster. The waitress was very unfriendly and I won't let anyone force her opinion on me.

Were here in a large group for Saturday lunch. Unfortunately, it was noticed that the service was overwhelmed with the change from breakfast/brunch to lunch. Nevertheless, everyone was very friendly. Opinions about the food varied widely, but it's probably just a matter of taste.

What a wonderful overall concept! We spent one night in the “Liebesbier” Urban Art Hotel and were very impressed by the cleanliness and the extraordinary ambience. Here art meets the experienced and the new - an atmosphere in which you can only feel good! As a hotel guest you have access to the hotel's own sauna, fitness room and a free small breakfast. A breakfast can be booked if you are really hungry. A few steps across the courtyard is the restaurant in the beautiful brick building of the old brewery. Here you will find typical regional dishes reinterpreted, many dishes can be ordered vegetarian and even vegan. The selection of different beers is very large and there is certainly something for every taste, but the homemade lemonades and desserts were also very tasty and not commonplace. Adjacent to the hotel there is a small café and an in-house roastery, which is a nice place to sit and enjoy. Although the tours cannot take place during the week due to renovation work, they tried to organize a private tour for us because we wanted to surprise my husband for his birthday, which was the reason for the trip. Even the time of the tour was based on our wishes. Karen, the extremely nice lady who led us through the brewery world of “Maisel&Friends” and let us immerse ourselves in a world of bygone decades in which brewing beer was still hard backbreaking work, made the tour so informative and interesting that even I, as “ Non-beer drinker”, was completely thrilled! The brewery and the hotel are also very centrally located, as Bayreuth city center and its sights can be reached on foot in just a few minutes. We have our car in the parking lot Parked in the inner courtyard and walked the rest of the way. All in all, our stay couldn't have been nicer, a short trip with a lot of memory and relaxation value! Our unreserved recommendation and a big thank you to the entire, very friendly team at Liebesbier and Maisel&friends.

We were a large group. The waiters were only moderately friendly and willing to provide good service. As a starter we had bread with butter for €7.5. The bread was delicious and the butter variation was OK. The crowd was just very disappointing. 4 slices of bread for €7.5 is simply cheeky. We had mixed opinions about the food: the pulled pork was well received, the cheese spaetzle was not so good, other dishes were so-so. Overall, it feels like system catering where the price-performance ratio is definitely not right...

Dear Liebebier Management, your service is really great. Our waiter today was very accommodating and really nice. The ambience is truly extraordinary. The selection of drinks and beers are really great and the price is just right. A huge point of criticism is simply your food. The price-performance ratio doesn't fit here at all. It can't be that a not particularly large portion of cheese spaetzle costs €19.90. But the fish and chips were the worst. Here on the plate were 3 small fish nuggets and a portion of fries for €21.90. This has nothing to do with a normal price increase, it's just outrageous. It's really a shame that people here try to make such a fuss with the food. Unfortunately, these prices for food ruin the entire ambience and the great atmosphere.

Overpriced and overhyped. There was a lot of vegetarian and vegan food. However, there was nothing normal vegetarian without meat substitutes. Also nothing seasonal or regional. The steak came, for example. from Argentina...

Beautiful and modern restaurant right next to the Bayreuther brewery. Service was very friendly and quick. The food, burgers and beef fillet, also very tasty. The price is higher than elsewhere but not excessive for the quality. A special highlight are the many beers that you can enjoy before, during and after your meal. Beer recommendations are offered for every dish on the menu. I'll deduct one point for the ambience because it gets very loud when there's a lot of activity and it's difficult to understand what you're talking to.

The food and service are good to very good and you can't really complain except for the price, but quality has its price. However, parking for €4 for just under two hours is a bit cheeky when you're paying over €90 for two people. Personally, I would think about whether you can get the price back or honestly

Cool location Parking is very bad. Referring to the answer - parking fees were not the issue, were taken care of by the company (Inter). I just managed to get a spot - several colleagues drove through the city looking. Maybe point out alternative places for us “unfamiliar” people.
