Hello, Here are my impressions of our first visit to Dötzer's Restaurant. I was curious, but unfortunately, my expectations weren't met. I'm not only used to it, but I also appreciate the complimentary amuse-bouche at the beginning. It gives you time (even in a group) to settle in and start a conversation. Unfortunately, it was missing on this visit. The service was friendly, but too quick for my liking when taking our drink and food orders. I would have appreciated more time as a guest (see "arrival"). Seating: The table was large enough for seven people to have the desired amount of space. However, sitting right by the exit (terrace) was unfortunate. The curtains weren't closed by guests leaving the restaurant, so we were sitting in the cold every time someone left. The Food: My order was for half a goose (it was on the menu)! I was a bit confused when the server brought me a quarter goose. One should know their menu, point out a mistake, and not try to cover it up. I was allowed to try a piece of the duck (set menu), but I had expected the goose to be of a different quality. I also have to question the claim that the dumplings were made in-house. There are many very positive reviews here, which I'm happy for the owner, but they don't reflect my experience. The competition never sleeps, and there's plenty of it in Bayreuth.

Small Margarita 10.00 in my opinion absolutely overpriced; taste is subjective.

Came here on the recommendation of my friend, thanks Alex 👋 Nice atmosphere, live music, nice staff and delicious food))) We ordered grilled dorado and a meat plate with several types of meat. The fish is incredibly tasty🥹 Now I want to bring my family here. Very, very nice place. I wish you good customers

The best restaurant Bayreuth has to offer. Here, you're immersed in a world that no longer exists outside. The guests almost seem like characters from a film of yesteryear. The food is incredibly good and the prices are really fair. Whenever I'm in Bayreuth or the surrounding area again, I'll be happy to come back for some cultural enrichment.

The food was very good, and the hosts were super nice.
