The ambiance is a bit more upscale than your typical "traditional" restaurant, and the prices reflect that. The service is friendly and attentive, and the menu is extensive and sometimes ambitious (e.g., pumpkin soup, duck breast), but the prices are reasonable. They also offer a good-value three-course set menu. Certainly by far the best restaurant near Gesundbrunnen station.

We were in Berlin for the football game weekend and stayed at a nearby hotel. After a quick search, we spontaneously decided to ask for a table and eat there on Saturday evening. There were four of us, and we all agreed that we should eat there again on Monday evening before we leave. The staff was friendly and always had a smile on their faces. The food was good in almost every respect. Our only slight criticism was the fried potatoes. They were either undercooked or there simply weren't enough of them. Price-wise, it was excellent. For the size of the portions, the price was very fair. If we're ever in Berlin again, we would definitely eat there again.

I'm convinced the food is pre-cooked/fried and heated in the microwave. I had liver, and it definitely wasn't freshly fried!!! The sauce was indistinguishable. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant!!! The hot chocolate was lukewarm. All in all, I wouldn't recommend it!

Drinks are overpriced. A glass of 0.2 liter of mineral water costs 3.80. 1 liter of still water costs 7.80. The food tastes good. But it's nothing special that you couldn't make at home if you wanted. If you have more money to spare, you can pay what they charge. Others would have to take out a small loan.

It was delicious and quick, and reasonably priced. The atmosphere was a bit uncomfortable and the interior was a bit noisy.

Hello. Five of us (2 adults and 3 children) ate here last Friday evening. The restaurant was full, and we didn't have a reservation. Nevertheless, a table was prepared for us within moments. Great service, delicious food, highly recommended. A slightly livelier group of about 12-14 people had gathered at the next table, but we still had a good conversation. We'll be happy to come back next time we're around the corner.

Good, home-style food, from schnitzel to burgers to salads. I had the Jägerschnitzel with fried potatoes, which I found delicious and more than enough. A Berlin beer rounded off my meal. The surrounding area is lined with several trees, and parasols provided sun protection almost everywhere. I'd be happy to return. Thank you.

The food was outstanding! We had both rice and pasta dishes, appetizers, and desserts, and everything was excellent. The service was extremely friendly and did a great job. The restaurant itself is also very nice, although it's located on a street, which is a bit distracting from the outside. All in all, it was a very successful evening.

The food was absolutely excellent! I understand that service in Germany is different. A lot of things are different. However, when you ask us if we're done, we say yes, you take our plates, and then just leave us sitting there waiting. Barely checked on us at all. Again, the food was great, service was terrible.

I have no words to describe the staff's treatment. They speak disparagingly, belittling our country. They literally said to our faces: "Ugh, Spain." We were so uncomfortable that we had to leave. In short, the atmosphere in the area is deplorable. Greetings from Seville.

Unfriendly waiters. Never again!! I've eaten here before and received a top rating (see below), but was so disappointed on my last visit. We ordered veal liver (has a musty smell) and carbonara (very oily), along with tomato soup. The tomato soup was very salty; we tried to just eat it, but it was so salty, like licking a salt rock. When we pointed it out, the waiter was very rude and said that's how the soup is supposed to be, took it, and stormed off. Without an apology or discount. The waiters were so rude and spoke to us across our table in their own language, giving us annoyed sideways glances. We usually always tip, but here we added the euro to the bill because we really didn't like the service, and he left the table with the money, petulant and uninspired. The food was simply delicious and well-seasoned. The service was attentive and friendly. Would definitely come here again.

The food, service and everything was great except that they charge you the tip without telling you. I paid with card, and the total amount was a bit higher than I expected, so I went to the counter and asked for the receipt that includes the item. Then the waiter told me that the total amount, but the tip is not included so he rounded up. I would've given the tip myself, but the waiter adding the tip without telling the customer is not okay for me. Without that tipping experience, I would definitely go back and want to try other menus, but because of this, I don't think I'll visit again.

We were staying at the nearby RV park for a visit and, given the long journey, didn't want to cook ourselves or go anywhere for long. This was the perfect place for us. We had a menu with cold vegetable antipasti, rump steak and tiramisu, and salmon with spinach in orange sauce. Everything was soooo delicious! We shared the starter and dessert. The waiters were very attentive, everything went very quickly, and we felt very comfortable. Thank you very much!

A group of us went to this restaurant near our hotel. It seems to be a very popular place tables filled up quickly. We sat outside, although it was on the warm side. Service was prompt. Menu is extensive enough with beef, fish, pasta, and some original German food on the menu. They have a good wine list and can make some popular mixed drinks. I had the wiener schnitzel, which was a huge serving. I could not finish it. Several of the others had fish in a variety of ways and seemed quite pleased with the meal. This seems like a popular place to meet and bring friends.

Auf der Suche nach einer netten Lokalität im Bereich Gesundbrunnen sind wir zufällig in diesem Lokal gelandet. Das Personal war sehr freundlich, der Service unaufdringlich, die Portionen reichlich und lecker zu einem fairen Preis. Das Lokal befindet sich gegenüber dem Gesundbrunnencenter auf Höhe des Bahnhofs Ecke Heidebrinker- und Behmstrasse. Leider haben wir vergessen Fotos von den Speisen zu machen, aber sowohl das Schnitzelgericht, wie auch der Antipasti Teller und die Spagetti Carbonara und die Spargelcremesuppe haben uns sehr gut geschmeckt.

Late lunch in front of the restaurant in the sunshine. Asparagus menu with Wiener Schnitzel. Meat quality, okay, BUT: 3, repeat three! poorly peeled, slim asparagus with lots of hollandaise for €29.90. This might still be acceptable as a small side dish to the schnitzel, but not on a menu that lists asparagus as the main item. A real disgrace!

5 stars I had dinner at Lichtburg with five colleagues - we were all thrilled! The selection of food, quality and service were consistently top. We liked it so much that we came back the next day. Absolutely recommended!

Dined there on April 2nd, 2025. Price performance, great. Food was 1 A quality, we had a schnitzel which was huge, and spaghetti. Super tasty, huge portions! I can only recommend it to everyone, we will come back when we are in Berlin again.

Very, very tasty and a ray of hope among all the fast food shops

Long-term review: I have been a regular guest at Cafe Lichtburg for at least twelve years. Food of consistently good quality, ambience in a classic modern style, staff sensibly dressed, courteous and objective. Everything meticulously clean. Prices are a bit high, no matter. Cafe Lichtburg, the oasis in the desert of the Wedding immigrant ghetto. In fact, it is the only restaurant in the Wedding district that you can recommend if you have kept your standards. Otherwise there are only chip shops and kebab shops in the surrounding area, street food of extremely dubious quality. Well, get it. There are at least a few restaurants of oriental provenance, mostly without style, dishes are monotonous, always grilled meat. I generally don't eat Halal. The Turkish-born operator of the Lichtburg is often present, checks and observes the process, and a brief exchange of ideas with him is always possible. A generously shaded terrace can be used in the warm season. Customers are pleasant. I can unreservedly recommend Cafe Lichtburg as a long-term customer.

We were there on Sunday in a larger group, unfortunately I can't say anything about the food as we had been drinking there. There was nothing to complain about about my beer, the cocktails were complained about, but corrected immediately. You have to like the ambience, it's not mine... but the restaurant is easily accessible as it is directly opposite the BHF Gesundbrunnen. We have had company parties there several times in the past. The toilets are clean, the staff is courteous.

Today on January 1st, 2025 we had dinner at the Lichtburg Restaurant. A very cozy restaurant with extremely friendly service, we had original Wiener Schnitzel, spaghetti al carbonara and the veal liver Berlin style, everything was extremely tasty hot and attractively presented. We would love to come back if we ever find ourselves in Berlin again.

We have often had family celebrations or just had breakfast here. Unfortunately, the staff has become worse and worse, also because there is a lot to do, especially during the Christmas season. Otherwise, as always, we left satisfied and will come back again.

Great restaurant with authentic Italian cuisine, but also with German classics. We felt very comfortable here and therefore dined here on two consecutive evenings during our trip to Berlin.

There were 6 of us who had drinks and food at a reasonable distance and at the same time. It was just a shame that there was no farewell schnapps, but hey, there are worse things.

Their Wiener schnitzel is better than I have had in Vienna. The service is great, always check if you need anything. The atmosphere is also rather nice. The music play in the restaurant is interesting, have many pop song but twist into a slow and sentimental touch. Overall is a restaurant I will definitely come again if I am in Berlin.

Lichtburg, Berlin – a taste explosion! Penne with chicken breast, spinach and Gorgonzola – a dream! The pasta was perfect, the chicken was juicy and the gorgonzola gave the whole thing the right amount of spice. A real taste experience! Plus the service is super friendly - you'll feel right at home here, just with better food. An all-round successful evening. I'll definitely be back!

We came spontaneously... ... to the Lichtburg for dinner and got a nice seat by the long window front. We were served quickly and friendly by the attentive service. The food (starter plate as main course and pasta) was good and a great portion, which was also good value for money.

... zum Abendessen in die Lichtburg und bekamen einen schönen Platz an der langen Fensterfront. Vom aufmerksamen Service wurden wir zügig und freundlich bedient. Das Essen (Vorspeisenteller als Hauptspeise und Nudeln) war gut und eine tolle Portion, die auch ein gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis hatte.

Quite a nice place but still room for improvement.

Pretty much the worst restaurant I have visited in Berlin. There is only one vegan dish on the entire menu, the spaghetti aglio e olio. The olive oil used seemed cheap to me and I would have done a better job myself. Because I couldn't order a glass of water, I had to take a bottle. This cost more than €7. Overall, the price-performance ratio here is not right at all. Nevertheless, there are still 2 stars because it didn't taste terrible, the service was ok, the ambience is also ok and the toilet was clean...

Nice restaurant with good food. German and Italian dishes at normal prices. Looks good there, unfortunately the music from an Eastern European, perhaps even Russian radio station bothered me a bit that day. Music was normal but then the announcements and news (probably) not in German weren't good.

I had a panna cotta for the first time yesterday and was disappointed. It was rock hard and served in a plastic bowl. Sauce was unclear… Very poor performance for a GOOD restaurant!

The staff made faces at me, looked at me complainingly, and finally threw a bill which hit my hand. These things had started when I’d arrived there and lasted til I left.

Estaba en un tour por Europa Central y nuestro guía nos llevó aquí la primera noche de nuestro viaje. Esta fue una bonita experiencia de apertura al viaje. Todo estaba delicioso. Me tomé el "jaegerschnitzel" y wow, muy sabroso! El servicio fue muy atento también y pensé que los precios eran razonables. Si se aloja en el AC Marriott, es un paseo muy corto a este increíble restaurante. Sin duda volvería si alguna vez me encuentro en esta parte de Berlín de nuevo.

When the sun is shining you can also sit outside on the large terrace. A visit is worth it and recommended.

We had lunch here, and had perhaps hoped for a bit better quality food - and was somewhat disappointed. Everything tasted okay, but nothing really exciting. The pizzas are only available after 14.00 and we arrived around noon. They didn’t have any children’s menu but could make smaller portions of some of the dishes.
