Lichtburg in Berlin

A new discovery for us. Very nice. The food was really delicious. The service was polite and courteous. We'd love to come back.

Delicious and the service was great. We came in here after walking past it. Our server was very kind and helped us decide what to have. The food was delicious and made fresh to order.

Today on January 1st, 2025 we had dinner at the Lichtburg Restaurant. A very cozy restaurant with extremely friendly service, we had original Wiener Schnitzel, spaghetti al carbonara and the veal liver Berlin style, everything was extremely tasty hot and attractively presented. We would love to come back if we ever find ourselves in Berlin again.

We have often had family celebrations or just had breakfast here. Unfortunately, the staff has become worse and worse, also because there is a lot to do, especially during the Christmas season. Otherwise, as always, we left satisfied and will come back again.

Great restaurant with authentic Italian cuisine, but also with German classics. We felt very comfortable here and therefore dined here on two consecutive evenings during our trip to Berlin.

There were 6 of us who had drinks and food at a reasonable distance and at the same time. It was just a shame that there was no farewell schnapps, but hey, there are worse things.

Very extensive menu, German and Italian Very well served and very friendly. Price-performance ratio is right.

One of the chicken breasts was slightly undercooked, otherwise everything was amazing !

Their Wiener schnitzel is better than I have had in Vienna. The service is great, always check if you need anything. The atmosphere is also rather nice. The music play in the restaurant is interesting, have many pop song but twist into a slow and sentimental touch. Overall is a restaurant I will definitely come again if I am in Berlin.

Lichtburg, Berlin – a taste explosion! Penne with chicken breast, spinach and Gorgonzola – a dream! The pasta was perfect, the chicken was juicy and the gorgonzola gave the whole thing the right amount of spice. A real taste experience! Plus the service is super friendly - you'll feel right at home here, just with better food. An all-round successful evening. I'll definitely be back!

... zum Abendessen in die Lichtburg und bekamen einen schönen Platz an der langen Fensterfront. Vom aufmerksamen Service wurden wir zügig und freundlich bedient. Das Essen (Vorspeisenteller als Hauptspeise und Nudeln) war gut und eine tolle Portion, die auch ein gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis hatte.

We came spontaneously... ... to the Lichtburg for dinner and got a nice seat by the long window front. We were served quickly and friendly by the attentive service. The food (starter plate as main course and pasta) was good and a great portion, which was also good value for money.

Pizza and pasta were very tasty. The restaurant staff were very attentive and friendly. Highly recommended.

Quite a nice place but still room for improvement.

Pretty much the worst restaurant I have visited in Berlin. There is only one vegan dish on the entire menu, the spaghetti aglio e olio. The olive oil used seemed cheap to me and I would have done a better job myself. Because I couldn't order a glass of water, I had to take a bottle. This cost more than €7. Overall, the price-performance ratio here is not right at all. Nevertheless, there are still 2 stars because it didn't taste terrible, the service was ok, the ambience is also ok and the toilet was clean...

Great food, fast service, good beer. Easy walk from our hotel. Recommend reservation but they were able to seat us because one table did not show.

Nice restaurant with good food. German and Italian dishes at normal prices. Looks good there, unfortunately the music from an Eastern European, perhaps even Russian radio station bothered me a bit that day. Music was normal but then the announcements and news (probably) not in German weren't good.

Loved this place. Food is delicious! Ate at this place every single day I was in Berlin. Server are so tentative and friendly. I would definitely go back. Worth every penny

I had a panna cotta for the first time yesterday and was disappointed. It was rock hard and served in a plastic bowl. Sauce was unclear… Very poor performance for a GOOD restaurant!

The staff made faces at me, looked at me complainingly, and finally threw a bill which hit my hand. These things had started when I’d arrived there and lasted til I left.

Estaba en un tour por Europa Central y nuestro guía nos llevó aquí la primera noche de nuestro viaje. Esta fue una bonita experiencia de apertura al viaje. Todo estaba delicioso. Me tomé el "jaegerschnitzel" y wow, muy sabroso! El servicio fue muy atento también y pensé que los precios eran razonables. Si se aloja en el AC Marriott, es un paseo muy corto a este increíble restaurante. Sin duda volvería si alguna vez me encuentro en esta parte de Berlín de nuevo.

Clean restaurant with good service and friendly staff. There were four of us and we had different meals, one of which was vegan. And drinks everyone enjoyed it very much, and at moderate prices. When the sun is shining you can also sit outside on the large terrace. A visit is worth it and recommended.

We had lunch here, and had perhaps hoped for a bit better quality food - and was somewhat disappointed. Everything tasted okay, but nothing really exciting. The pizzas are only available after 14.00 and we arrived around noon. They didn’t have any children’s menu but could make smaller portions of some of the dishes.

We always enjoy eating there. It always tastes good and it's also a great price/performance ratio.

My partner and I visited this restaurant during a weekend we spent in Berlin in June. Looking forward to trying a schnitzel, we came to this place. The menu incorporates some international dishes with some Italian ones, including also the schnitzel we wanted to have. As the picture will show, the schnitzel we had was very tasty, but mostly, we appreciated the attentive and kind service - our waiter made us feel very welcome. We recommend trying this restaurant due to the quality of the food and the service offered to customers.

There were two of us and we sat outside. The waiter was extremely attentive, looked at our drink requests and was always unobtrusively there. We had an Italian antipasti appetizer platter. Top!! One is enough as a starter for 2 and everything is put together very tasty. For the main course we had liver Berlin style and a salad with chicken breast strips. Both were very good and we would definitely order them again. Just an all around great evening.

Das Café Lichburg bleibt im Habitat des ranzigen Brunnenviertels die Oase in der Wüste. Speisen von gleichbleibender Qualität, Habitus und Kleidung des Personals angemessen. Räumlichkeiten, mir besonders genehm, in Anlehnung an die klassische Moderne, nüchtern und sachlich. In der warmen Jahreszeit ergänzt durch großzügig bemessene Terrasse. Anziehend auch das bauliche Ensemble der Gartenstadt Atlantik. Das Engagement des türkischstämmigen Betreibers fällt angenehm ins Gewicht. Auch der Prof. ist zuweilen als Gast zugegen. Seit Eröffnung der Lokalität „verfresse“ ich dort gern einen Großteil meines Salärs. Die Preise sind gestiegen, dennoch immer noch angemessen. Im Dunstkreis kulturellem Prole Drifts im Brunnenviertel besetzt das Café Lichtburg das kulinarische Monopol, ein Alleinstellungsmerkmal, für das ich gern bereit bin, tiefer in die Tasche zu greifen.

I actually had an appointment to have lunch with a small group of former colleagues in the Rest. Lichtburg. Since the group unfortunately didn't show up, I made the best of the station and ate in the Lichtburg. I don't regret this at all, as I really enjoyed LICHTBURG in every respect! You can sit inside and outside. In short: "We'll be happy again at any time!"

Finally a restaurant that I like. Food like in Germany and Italy. We recommend.

Nice restaurant with good food. Unfortunately, the service was a bit reserved as we didn't all eat a main course. The restaurant wasn't even half full - so we didn't take a seat from anyone and didn't spend hours sipping a drink. This wasn't entirely understandable to us. Oh well...

You get reasonable portions for the money. Indoors you will always receive very friendly service in a classic, bright atmosphere, but also outdoors on the terrace.

I really enjoy going there on various occasions, alone or with friends. My husband and I also had our wedding dinner there (a very, very lovingly set table❤️). The boss, the staff and the food for us and friends/guests were and are always very good - and just as you wish. The food is always very tasty and freshly prepared - there's nothing to complain about. The boss is exactly what you would expect from a host, as are the employees. Polite, very careful and quick. Thank you for everything. By the way: The pizzas are also delicious and like all other food: freshly prepared.🌟🌟🌟

We ate at the Lichtburg restaurant twice while visiting Berlin. All dishes tasted very good! Staff very friendly and professional!

This is a place of hospitality, not just for a small treat in the evening (antipasti platter) for two with a tasty, good quality wine. A real dinner is also worth it here. The plaice fillet and the grilled chicken with pepper sauce were excellent. Always very attentive and kind support. Lots of outdoor seating. Highly recommended restaurant.

2 stars for the atmosphere! We were well received and the food was delicious. However, a man who was constantly standing behind the counter looked at us disparagingly, which made the atmosphere uncomfortable for us since we were four black women🤷🏾‍♀️. Many thanks to the waitress for her kindness, professionalism and helpfulness. Voila!

We ended up there after a guided tour of the Unterwelten e.V. We got a table without a reservation and were served very attentively. My wife had a 3-course meal (which you have to be a really good eater for) and I had a Jägerschnitzel. Food and service was excellent. Gladly again.

Quality food with reasonable price

It was Christmas! Everything is a bit hectic and of course one or two things are overlooked. The service as such was good, repeat orders were delivered promptly. The Christmas menu was well put together and tasted good too. Gladly again when it's quieter. 😉

I recently visited because of positive reviews from Koreans. The restaurant is cozy and quiet, and the staff is friendly. The menu is delicious and it's okay. However, I don't know if there was a communication problem, but we wanted to tip 5% of the total price, but it was calculated as 10%. However, I don't think there was any malicious intent because they showed us the machine screen and confirmed it when measuring the tip. Tips are not required, but if you want to tip, check it carefully. Other than this, the food and service were both satisfactory.

The restaurant makes a very good impression, the staff is attentive and very friendly. For an Italian it's not quite as cozy as some of the small restaurants, but there's a lot of space. There is also a disabled toilet available

We were there with our two youngest, they each had the burger with fried potatoes, we had the French goat cheese and as main courses the veal liver and the pork fillet, everything was top-notch and super tasty. Can only be recommended.

Gehobene Gastronomie am Gesundbrunnen in Berlin. Die Speisekarte ist übersichtlich und bietet auch Gerichte der Saison. Das Ambiente ist mediterran mit Schwerpunkt auf der italienischen Küche. Doch ist die Vielfalt der Karte durchaus üppiger als beim klassischen Italiener um die Ecke. Der Besuch ist schon etwas Besonderes. Das Personal ist dabei freundlich und kompetent, aber keineswegs überkandidelt. Für das Angebot müssen Gourmets jedoch auch ein bisschen tiefer in die Tasche greifen. Aber es lohnt sich.

Stundenlang gewartet und dann ein Essen bekommen, dass nicht nur schlecht sondern sehr schlecht war. Absolut nicht zu empfehlen ☹️☹️☹️

Wir waren als Familie im Restaurant essen. Es passte einfach alles. Der Service war rundum gut: Freunlich, lustig und aufmerksam. Bei Sonderwünschen wurde alles möglich gemacht. Die Preise waren wirklich angemessen und das Essen schmeckte richtig gut. Trotz ordentlich gefülltem Restaurant war die Wartezeit echt kurz. Wir kommen beim nächsten Berlin-Besuch gerne wieder.
