Libanon Restaurant in Düsseldorf

Once again at Restaurant Libanon, service was, as usual, very friendly and attentive. The food was, as always, excellent, with great appetizers ranging from hummus to tabbouleh to fatoush. The main course was lamb and chicken skewers from the charcoal grill. The meat was tender and incredibly delicious, as were the side dishes, of course. To top it all off, there was a fantastic belly dancing performance during the meal. Thank you for a wonderful evening.

The food is not very good and very expensive. The restaurant is empty, as you said.

Delicious food and friendly service. We sat outside and only later realized that the ambiance inside was fantastic.

I ordered the musaka appetizer, and it was good. The falafel was not good and not worth the price. The kibbeh was not good. The mixed grill was very bad. Both the meat and chicken had an unpleasant flavor and seemed old and not well stored. The experience was not good.

My visit to this restaurant was an absolute disgrace. The appetizers were old, not fresh, and completely inedible. The mixed grills arrived cold, had obviously just been reheated, and had a disgusting, off-flavor. I was absolutely disgusted and couldn't eat a single bite. We left everything on the table and left. This food was not only bad, but downright harmful. I strongly warn everyone not to enter this restaurant – it's completely unhygienic and not recommended!

According to the price I expected much better food. The kebabs was not so good and were a bit dry. And there was lots of salt in the food and olives. The soup was awesome though.

Sea Restaurant food is not good at all and is not worth it

The most bland and flavorless lebanese food I've ever had We order a beef filler and lamb fillet. Both came with the same mushroom sauce which was terribly bland . Even after sprinkling lots of salt and pepper on it we were not able to finish the food The hummus was the only positive

Not authentic at all. The food wasn't well served and didn't taste good at all. It was overpriced, and the sauces had so much garlic. You had to force yourself to eat it. It's a real shame that such a beautifully designed place serves such bad food. The prices are unbelievable for the quality. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. It has potential, but they need a better chef.

Hardly any changes at this Düsseldorf "institution"! I've known this place for over 30 years and visit it every now and then. The food is incredibly delicious. The appetizers are endless—you're almost full by the time you get them. The service is unobtrusive and friendly, and the food is delivered promptly. There has been one change in recent years, though: a young belly dancer performs her art. And... the clientele has changed.

A nice place on the main street. The food is Middle Eastern, Mediterranean style Lebanese cuisine. We tried lentil soup, salad and kebab, meat varieties. The taste was good, but the meat came burnt. It was a bad experience. The meat was burnt like coal, but they brought it and put it in front of us. There was tea.

The service is always courteous. The food is always freshly prepared, the fillet tips are very tasty as are the lamb chops.

I would not recommend it to anyone at all. We had two menus for €59 each. We got food for one menu but we still had to pay for two menus. It's ridiculous.

Overpriced! The quality of the food was good, but it wasn‘t tasty.. The waiter was not nice and welcoming.. The sweets were not fresh.. Decorations and vibes are kinda nice..

So I don't know where to start! We initially made a reservation for 6 people. Went to this restaurant full of anticipation. Since it was also my birthday, I wanted to treat myself to something delicious. We also noticed at the beginning that the restaurant was empty. Few people were in this restaurant. We were very surprised. But they ignored it. Unfortunately it was a total failure! The food was so bad that I felt sick. We ordered beef with sauce and fries and rice. The meat was old or rotten. It tasted very strongly of blood. Ugh!! And the fries were not salted and the sauces were pre-packaged from Knorr or Maggie. It was all so careless on the plate. We initially ordered soups because we came for Iftar. No bread given, no starters given. Just after asking multiple times. At the end we got the bill and what can I say. I almost fell out of my chair. 286€ for what??? They even charged us extra for soup. We actually had to argue with the waiter, who was unfriendly anyway. They are not customer oriented at all. Customer is king! We know what we ordered or ate. So very disrespectful and incompetent. The food was miserable and very expensive! I would definitely not recommend this restaurant. 1 star is already too much!! I would prefer not to give one.

Der Abend war nett, aber im Internet stand geschrieben, dass es freitags eine Bauchtanzaufführung gäbe, aber es gab gar nichts. Das war sehr schade, da wir extra deshalb dieses Restaurant ausgesucht hatten!

We have been to the "Lebanon Restaurant" in Düsseldorf several times, sometimes with family and sometimes with friends. We always enjoyed it very much. Really delicious food, good drinks and friendly staff. A visit here for lunch or dinner is definitely worth it.

Ich war nach vielen Jahren mal wieder dort. Es ist immer noch ein tolles Ambiente. Alle sehr freundlich. Aber vieles von dem Essen, ist sehr weit entfernt von libanesisch. Es hat uns trotzdem geschmeckt. Wäre aber schön wenn das Essen auch libanesisch schmecken würde.

The food was very bad - an experience I won't have again. The shawarma was bad, as was the shish. As for the desserts, although the Kunafa was good, the service was really abysmal.

Has gotten worse over the years. Not authentic and overpriced. The chicken was good, the rest was rather tasteless. The lamb wasn't done yet, half raw. The employees were discussing loudly in the background, which didn't make the atmosphere particularly pleasant. I won't come again

At every fair we always come here because they have very good food and they also give you a belly dancing show. For me it's a good experience

Our visit to this restaurant ended in frustration. We made it clear from the start that we only wanted to order appetizers - an agreement that the waiter initially confirmed without objection. After the cold and warm starters, which were visually appealing and tasted fresh and delicious, we made sure and reiterated that we didn't want any main courses. But shortly afterwards the waiter suddenly informed us that the main courses were now ready to be served - despite previous and repeated clarifications. Our objections were dismissed with the remark that the main course and dessert were an obligatory part of the menu and there was no way to change anything about it. The food was then packed for us to take away. Although the food was attractively presented and tasted flawless, this “misunderstanding” left a bad aftertaste. We also ended up with a sum in the high three-digit range for food that we never ordered. An inflexible and customer-unfriendly service spoils even the most pleasant atmosphere and makes a return visit impossible for us.

We had a 4 course meal for two people! Everything tasted very tasty throughout. Overall, it was too much food for our bellies. We feasted and it felt like it wouldn't be any less. This could have fed 3-4 people. The atmosphere was nice and the belly dancer created a great atmosphere. However, the music was too loud, so conversation wasn't possible. Do we recommend the restaurant? In any case!

Not recommended – unpleasant experience We were in the Lebanese restaurant in the center of the old town on Saturday evening - unfortunately it was an extremely unpleasant visit to the restaurant. The restaurant was the only one in the area where we got a table without waiting - and in retrospect it's clear why. While we were there, the music suddenly turned up extremely loud, making conversation impossible. A belly dancer entered the restaurant wearing only a bra and a tight tulle skirt (which looked cheap) (despite the winter) and started dancing. The atmosphere was anything but pleasant - many of the men in the room stared at her, others put banknotes in her bra. The situation felt more like a club and had nothing to do with a relaxed restaurant visit. When the dancer finally left, we were relieved - but unfortunately only for a short time, as she came back after a few minutes and the music became so loud again that entertainment was out of the question. There were also smaller but annoying things: When we ordered a steak knife, we were only brought a normal knife. Overall, the atmosphere was just oppressive and unpleasant, so much so that I lost my appetite. I have rarely felt so uncomfortable in a restaurant. If you value a relaxed meal, you should definitely avoid this place.

We were here on January 4, 2025 for our wedding anniversary. We ordered the Lebanese Mäsa Bybloss. 8 cold and 2 were starters, then 2 warm main courses, followed by a selection of baklawa. There is only one thing to say about the food… great. We liked it very much and it was plentiful. The service was very good! Very nice and forward-looking. We were given enough time for the starters. Before the main courses were served, we were asked whether we were ready. There was also a small belly dance performance which was also very nice. All in all a very nice evening with nothing to complain about.

Food was extremely expensive for what was more or less a very small portion of chicken with curry sauce. For 26€ one would expect more than such a small portion of chicken. The atmosphere and service was good though. But would not visit again.

Top restaurant. I can only recommend it. The people here are always friendly and will help wherever they can. They gave us a wonderful evening and we are so happy that we were there again and will always come back. The food is just so delicious and prepared with love. You can taste that. All I can say is give it a try.

We were actually looking forward to this restaurant. Unfortunately, the anticipation remained. The plates were arranged like a bad chip shop. You slap food on it and put a leaf of lettuce on the side and you're disappointed just by looking at it, without knowing what it tastes like. Well then came the taste test. Getting pickled chicken dry is quite an art. Dry rice with it is simply great. Unfortunately our waiter was also very superficial. Requests were ignored and the glasses remained empty. The only very positive thing was the belly dancer. She spread the mood and was really great.

Way too busy during the Christmas market. Ordered two dishes for a total of €32.90. A sandwich and a Lebanon Express special. I only got half a dish. After a while the other half. They then forgot the sandwich. What do they do, they take away the meat from my main course to put in the sandwich. I've actually never experienced this before. Service far below par. Customer friendliness not up to par, food was mediocre. I will definitely never go back here again

One of my favourite places in Düsseldorf

We can't understand the negative reviews at all. The food tasted very, very good, generous portions, very nicely prepared and you didn't have to wait long for it. At first we were a little shocked about the prices, but it was definitely worth it. Both in terms of taste, ambience and the belly dancer's show performance. You felt like you were getting a good insight into the culture and that made the meal even more special. It wasn't just a meal, it was also an experience.

Be in Germany for belly dancing it is interesting. Good food, service OK, climate old fasion, overall 4 stars.

The food is very ordinary. We ordered hot potatoes, which came out full of oil. We ordered grape leaves, which is somewhat acceptable. We ordered kibbeh, which tastes good. We ordered mixed grills (shish tawook is good, the kebab is good, and the receipts are bad). We ordered two excellent Ayran drinks

The worst food and service you can find in Germany is in this store.

Unfortunately, there has been a significant decline in the quality of the food. The grape leaves were brought in a poor condition, as if they had been extracted from a container of console. It is unfortunate that you pay an average of 35 euros for a meal and do not get anything good in return.

113€ for a meal that doesn't cost 20€, we were really ripped off! The food just tastes disgusting, it has a really strange taste and some of the salad is rotten. It was supposed to be food for two people, so it only feeds one person!! That was definitely the last time we were there!

Worst service, zero friendliness, zero motivation. The employees look at you as if they have hated you for years. Terrible. Never again. Food wasn't good either.
