Everything at Byblos is just right: fast and friendly service, delicious food with a wide selection, fair prices, and plenty of parking. The menu is clear and straightforward. The food is always fresh and arrives quickly. I enjoy eating there whenever I get the chance and can highly recommend the restaurant!

What can I say: one of my TOP 3 restaurants in Düsseldorf for 20 years – and THAT means something!!! ALWAYS consistent, top quality. You can sit comfortably in the restaurant, or eat in the "kitchen," the snack bar, if you're in a hurry or need takeout. I could list many, many things you absolutely must try. From the countless cold and warm appetizers like tabbouleh, makali, falafel (the best!), artichoke, hummus… to the incredibly delicious grilled dishes. Just ask for advice… But most importantly: Please don't get an appetizer and eat it alone. Here, we share – order as many things as you can eat, starters, and main courses together. First come the "appetizers." Then combine them as you like and make little wraps… mix and match!!!! And leave some left over until the grilled dishes arrive… combine them with the wraps too! All the sauces and dips are also fantastic – my favorites are the pureed eggplant, the sesame cream, the garlic cream, yogurt with cucumber & mint, and a few others. Oh, and the homemade ayran – very, very good! At the end, when you're full and satisfied, the obligatory black tea with mint arrives as a service. Order some of the super-delicious desserts to go with it – similar to baklava, but not as super-sweet, but packed with nuts and pistachios – amazing! One more thing: They've recently added fries to the menu… I thought to myself, "Fries? Hmmm…" But: they were some of the best fries I've ever had – and at a Lebanese restaurant! Who would have thought? CONCLUSION: For anyone who enjoys the best, varied, fresh, and simply delicious food – healthy, not at all greasy, salty, or sweet – simply perfectly balanced (AND perfect for vegetarians and even vegans), who enjoys socializing, but also wants something quick to eat (the sandwiches!), BYBLOS is simply the perfect place! ———— Tips: - Free parking in the backyard - Make a reservation on weekends - Get advice on what to order - Get shown how to eat - Try the ayran and dessert - It's best to go with several people so you can order lots of things to share! - But it's also best to go alone > then go to the snack bar next door (same quality!)

Great food, environment and service!

The restaurant is definitely really good. We made an online reservation for 12 p.m. (see photo). When we got there, we were quite surprised that only the snack bar was open, and the restaurant didn't open until the evening. Otherwise, we enjoyed the food quite well.

Honestly the food was not tasty we had ordered grilled meat and it was a small portion I think the prices are expensive and the woman was a bit dry

Additionally, the restaurant wasn't particularly clean, which further spoiled the overall impression. Unfortunately, I can't recommend the restaurant.

Snack bar Chefs insult their customers in their native language. Very hot, no ventilation in the snack bar. Very oily, and the sandwiches lacked flavor.

I've been going there for decades. It used to be really good, I mean really GOOD. I haven't found a better Lebanese restaurant anywhere in the country, and I visit several all over Germany. But now it's not what it used to be. Portions are getting smaller and more expensive. Although a lot of it has been renovated over the years, it doesn't seem well-maintained or well-thought-out at all. The quality of the food has also declined considerably. I hardly ever see the boss anymore, at least not in the snack bar. Is that why?

We often go here for two to get shawarma and a side dish per person and only pay €25 in total. Price-performance is phenomenal! Very tasty, very nice and very cheap. My favorite Lebanese :))

We were there again today after a long time. What can I say, it was once again very, very tasty. My lamb chops were still delicately pink and super tender. My wife's lamb steak too. The service was very accommodating, quick and friendly without being intrusive. Overall, completely satisfied and fed up. We had three starters, two main courses, half a liter of rosé and two soft drinks and stayed well under €100. I think that's OK. Gladly again

Amazing food and really unusual choice of dishes (for example quail, lambs tongue, chicken liver). The food was excellent, prices were very fair, the deco and surroundings were tasteful and cosy. They lost a point for us because of the service. Waiters could have been more friendly and a smile here or there would have made all the difference.

I've been coming here to eat for years. It is always delicious and tasty. My first stop for Lebanese food. If I'm in a hurry, I buy the sandwiches with falafel, baba ghanoush and the delicious kibbeh. Really recommended. The journey is worth it every time.

The food was lukewarm when it got here. The chicken was completely dry and burnt. The side salad had no seasoning, as did the fries, which were far too crispy.

I love this shop on Markenstrasse. Every now and then I treat myself to something different, but the falafel bag, which still only costs €2.90, keeps me going. The owner is a true man of honor and probably feeds half the neighborhood besides me. Simply a pillar of the Düsseldorf municipality! I love shops like these that offer good, simple cuisine at reasonable prices - honestly, they usually have the best food too! There's also an Asian place around the corner where you can get more rice and better quality meat for €6.50 than you would get elsewhere for €10+ - and they are the nicest people ever! Unfortunately I haven't met the owner of Byblos personally yet, but I'm sure he can only be a sigma gentleman. He just knows how to wow the crowds.

The food is ok but the portions are sometimes not right. With the menu (€35 per person) we were served 3 stuffed grape leaves. There were three of us. With my husband alone, the 4 of us were served the same menu! The restaurant seems cold and the service was not friendly. We have been here several times in the last few years, but will avoid the restaurant in the future

Totally authentic, super tasty and we've been driving there from Krefeld for over 20 years. Very friendly staff, also great for vegetarians. Go there and try it out, there is also a snack bar next door from the same owner.

Pros: Very cheap Negative: things are done quickly here. Love and passion cannot be seen. By far the worst schwarma I've eaten. Sauce not authentically Lebanese, the bread barely crispy. Below average. Too bad.

The funny thing is that when you deliver via UBER, which is also much cheaper with a special offer, you get significantly more of everything, even though the same thing is ordered as on site.

I visited this Lebanese restaurant and was completely impressed. The starters were very good - a varied mix of different dishes with a great selection with something for everyone. Everything was fresh and tasted well. The chicken was the absolute highlight for me – incredibly tender, juicy and excellently seasoned. I also loved the falafels: crispy on the outside, soft on the inside and super tasty! The service was first class. The waiter was not only very friendly, but at my request he gave me appropriate recommendations that were really excellent. As a nice gesture, there was tea (Cai) on the house at the end - a perfect ending. I was also impressed by the ambience: the music, the furnishings and the relaxed atmosphere made the visit a real experience. A great restaurant that I would recommend to anyone who appreciates authentic Lebanese cuisine and great service.

Zu zweit hier gewesen zum Abendessen. Rechts ein Imbiss dazu der wohl auch das Essen links für das Resto kocht! Der Imbiss sah schon nicht sehr schmeichelhaft aus und eigentlich wollten wir dann gar nicht mehr rein. Das Resto machte aber einen besseren Eindruck, so dass wir doch beschlossen dort zu Essen. Überall auf den Tischen „Reserviert“ (für einen Dienstag recht zweifelhaft). Wir bekamen einen Tisch aber nur bis 18 Uhr. Karte sah so ganz gut aus. Falafel mit Humus, Tomatensalat, Lammhackbraten und Hühnchenfilet. Die Vorspeise war ja noch ganz in Ordnung, abgesehen davon, dass die Falafel ziemlich verbrannt aussahen und knochenhart waren, der Salat war ziemlich öllastig und schmeckte eigentlich nach nix (kein Salz). Der absolute Upturner war jedoch das Hühnchen. Breitgeklopft bis es halb so groß war wie der Teller, schmeckte nach rein gar nichts. Dazu eine Sauce, die eigentlich eine Zitronensauce sein sollte, allerdings kein bisschen nach Zitrone schmeckte. Von restlichen Gewürzen weit und breit keine Spur. Ende vom Lied - Lektion gelernt. Einmal und nie wieder. Ich verstehe diese ganzen „gut, sehr gut und ausgezeichnet“ Bewertungen hier nicht, also entweder hatten wir einen schlechten Tag und der eigentliche Koch war krank oder man muss schlicht weg einfach sagen, dass Essen war nicht authentisch oder gar gut. Zur Bedienung kann man nur sagen, unfreundlich waren sie nicht, eher sehr reserviert. Wartezeiten waren nicht lang. Würde ich nicht empfehlen geschweige denn noch einmal einen Fuss dorthinein setzen, da die Qualität des Essens einfach zu grottenschlecht ist.

With a baby I don't have to sit where the door opens and closes because from experience there is always a draft! The table we were supposed to sit at was reserved. Funny that you could sit there. The entire restaurant was reserved. Today is Tuesday and there were just 4 tables occupied. Sorry, but I've never experienced such nonsense with a reservation. So get out immediately without discussion. The food is good there but service is poor.

Das Essen war frisch zubereitet und sehr schmackhaft und authentisch libanesisch. Preis Leistung war vollkommen ok. Der Service war eine Katastrophe. Total überfordert und irgendwie auch nicht an Kunden interessiert. Man fühlte sich als Gast nicht willkommen. Wir waren früher oft in diesem Restaurant uns alles war immer sehr gut. Jetzt haben wir diese negative Erfahrung in diesem Restaurant schon zweimal hintereinander erleben müssen. So schnell werden wir nicht mehr wieder kommen. Mit dieser Art hat das Restaurant für uns keine Zukunft und wird auch die letzten treuen Gäste noch vertreiben. Wirklich schade

Ate at the snack bar. Order & pick up at the front. This is not necessarily pointed out. Confusion with another group led to rough treatment. There's a friendlier way! Afterwards everything was fine, the food is recommended in terms of price and performance.

We werden vriendelijk ontvangen. De sfeer was gemoedelijk. De gerechten zijn vers en het ziet er verzorgd uit. Smaken zijn heerlijk en niet allemaal hetzelfde. We namen de ‘vegetarische Teller’, genoeg om samen te delen als voorgerecht. Daarna nog beiden een hoofdgerecht. En we kregen achteraf nog een glaasje muntthee van het huis. Prijs kwaliteit prima in orde.

I ordered from there and the delivery arrived very quickly. The food in my case (lentil soup and shish taok sandwich) tasted pretty tasty. The only small detail that could be changed is that you label the sauces (dip) that come with the Lebanese flatbread. Because the dip was damn spicy and Some people don't like spicy, but everything else is good

The staff and service were very friendly and good. Starters are ok. The main course with chicken was not edible for us. The lamb was barely seasoned.

The shawarma tastes very good, but some ingredients are always missing, each time different from the last time. The falafel sandwich also tastes good, but is very dry.

Went there for lunch with two children. Service extremely courteous and considerate. For example, the waiter brought glasses, noticed a barely visible stain on one of them and they immediately replaced them. Our daughter dropped a fork - it was replaced immediately.
