Byblos Restaurant in Düsseldorf

Ich war mit meiner Bestellung bei Byblos insgesamt sehr zufrieden. Ich war bereits vor einigen Jahren mehrfach vor Ort essen und habe das Restaurant immer als sehr gut in Erinnerung behalten. Das Essen war damals wie heute hervorragend. Die Fleischqualität ist wirklich erstklassig – frisch, zart und geschmacklich auf einem sehr hohen Niveau. Auch die Lieferung war schnell und das Essen kam in einem einwandfreien Zustand an. Einen kleinen Kritikpunkt habe ich allerdings beim Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Die Qualität rechtfertigt zwar einen höheren Preis, dennoch fand ich die Portion im Verhältnis dazu etwas klein. Für beispielsweise zwei Fleischspieße mit einer eher kleinen Portion Reis und Salat sind 17,50 € aus meiner Sicht schon recht hoch. Auf der anderen Seite muss man fairerweise sagen, dass hochwertige Fleischqualität ihren Preis hat und auch der Restaurantbetreiber entsprechend höhere Einkaufskosten trägt. Das kann ich durchaus nachvollziehen. Unterm Strich überwiegen für mich dennoch ganz klar die positiven Eindrücke: ausgezeichnetes Essen, hervorragende Fleischqualität, schnelle Lieferung und ein rundum leckerer Genuss. Wenn die Portionsgröße etwas großzügiger wäre, gäbe es für mich nichts zu beanstanden.

Ich liebe libanesisches Essen. Die Qualität ist abhängig von der Tagesform und Tagesuhrzeit. Es war schon top bis flop.

Keine gute Erfahrung .. Obwohl der Laden bis 23:30uhr offen hat, durften wir uns um 22:50uhr nicht hinsetzen, das Essen war bereits fertig aber wir sollten es mitnehmen. Im Hotel angekommen, haben wir es ausgepackt und einen Schock bekommen .. Ich kenne dieses Restaurant aus Berlin und das ist ein unterschied von Tag und Nacht.. Das Restaurant hier in Düsseldorf, kam mir sehr chaotisch, eher dreckig und absolut gefühllos rüber. Das was wir bestellten, sah einfach richtig eklig aus, hat nach TK Hühnerfrikassee geschmeckt. Nie wieder Byblos in DD! Ich schreibe normalerweise keine Rezisionen, aber hier MUSS ich!! Schaut euch das Foto an…. Was ist das ? Wie kann man so ein Essen servieren ?? Für über je20€!!!?

Super leckeres Shawarma für unter 5 Euro, aber die Atmosphäre ist etwas chaotisch.

Ich war heute da, es war sehr lecker alles sehr frisch vorallem shwarama war sehr lecker. Selten so gut libanesisch gegessen … ps: sind richtige libanesen :)

Sehr leckeres, mit Liebe zubereitetes Essen. Die Preise sind super und das Personal ist immer sehr freundlich. Ich freue mich schon auf meinen nächsten Besuch im Byblos! :)

Das Essen war meeeega authentisch! Gerne immer wieder!

Wir wollten heute (04.04.26) gegen 16:30 Uhr zu viert dort essen. Wir waren wohl die einzigen Gäste, zumindest haben wir niemanden mehr gesehen. Da ich selbst keinen großen Hunger hatte, hätte ich gerne die Linsensuppe bestellt - die anderen wollten ein ‚normales‘ Menu. Da wurde mir gesagt, das ging nicht, dass ich nur Suppe bestelle. Wer dort hingeht, müsse eben großen Hunger haben. Ich solle nebenan in den Imbiss gehen. Meine Begleitung hat dies (wie ich) als dermaßen unverschämt empfunden, dass wir sofort gegangen sind. Selbstverständlich haben wir mitgeteilt, dass wir die Bestellung stornieren (die bestellte Getränke wurden auch nicht gebracht). Die Antwort war nur „gerne“. Aufgrund dieses Services werden wir dieses Restaurant zukünftig meiden.

Schade!Ich wurde noch nie so schlecht bedient. Null Aufmerksamkeit. Die Bestellung konnte nicht fertig aufgegeben werden, da der Kellner sich bei einem Wort genervt von uns abgewendet hatte. So mussten wir 20 mal einzeln nachbestellen.Frechheit! Das Gericht war nicht lecker. Keine Geschmack.Leider nicht empfehlenswert!

War gestern das 1 mal bei Ihnen. Es war rundum perfekt. War vom Essen sehr begeistert. Freundliche Bedienung. Komme gerne wieder.

Küche nach wie vor gut - aber die lauthals schreiende, dreist herumkommandierende Bedienung ist leider nicht mehr zu verkraften. Schade!

Leider muss ich meine Bewertung ändern Personal ist sehr hochnäsig geworden. Schon seit etwas längerem Essen ist trotzdem nicht schlecht, aber werde das Restaurant wohl nicht mehr besuchen. Da Personal manchmal echt unverschämt ist.

Wir waren zum ersten Mal Libanesisch essen und haben dieses Lokal über Google gefunden. Sehr herzliches und freundliches Personal. Wir fanden das Essen sehr sehr lecker und kommen auf jeden Fall wieder. Wir hatten das erste Menü und zuerst dachten wir, das es preislich nicht günstig ist. Doch hinterher können wir sagen, dass das Preis/Leistungsverhältnis absolut stimmt und wir am nächsten Tag von den Resten definitiv nochmal lecker satt werden. Daumen hoch und sehr zu empfehlen!

Ein wirklich schönes Lokal. Super freundliches Personal und das Essen war sehr lecker. Besonders das Gebäck mit Käse und der Taboulé.

Ausgezeichnete frisch zubereitete Speisen, zB frisch handgefertigte Falaffel, hervorragend abgeschmeckt. Sehr netter Service, schönes Ambiente! Auch als Deutsche wurden wir hervorragend bedient. Auch der Rotwein ist empfehlenswert.

Die Artischocke in säuerlicher Marinade kam zu kalt an den Tisch, Avocadopuerree war lecker, auch die Garnelen, die mit reichlich Knoblauch bestreut waren. Leider war es im Restaurant nicht warm genug, die gekachelten Tische taten ihr Übriges dazu. Eine aufgeräumtere Ausstattung täte dem Lokal gut.

Man wird von der Dame im Imbiss einfach ignoriert wenn man eine Bestellung aufgeben möchte. Stattdessen werden Bestellungen von anderen Kunden auf Zuruf angenommen. Wenn man nachfragt ob man denn jetzt bestellen könnte bekommt man nur ein patziges "warte". Die Dame an der Theke war schon immer unfreundlich aber so habe ich es noch nie und nirgendwo erlebt.

Ich habe Shawarma bestellt und war leider sehr enttäuscht vom Service. Die Mitarbeiterin kaute während der Bedienung Kaugummi und reagierte auf eine freundliche Bitte nach mehr Soße unhöflich. Besonders kritisch sehe ich, dass sie nach dem Kassieren ohne Handschuhe weiter Speisen zubereitete. Auf meinen höflichen Hinweis dazu reagierte sie laut und unprofessionell mit den Worten: „Das ist das System hier“ und „Ich bin Chef hier.“ Ein solches Verhalten und der Umgang mit Hygienestandards sind für mich nicht akzeptabel. Ich werde dieses Lokal nicht erneut besuchen und behalte mir weitere Schritte vor.

Schnell ein Schawarma auf die Hand bekommen. Für den Preis war die Größe genau richtig. Geschmacklich 1a, hätten mir vielleicht noch eine Papierserviette in die Tüte packen können.

Essen war lecker, aber anders als erwartet. Service war sehr nett und freundlich. Wenn man hierhin gehen möchte solltet ihr reservieren, weil alle Tische reserviert waren, als ich da war.

Der Service war ausgesprochen herzlich – sowohl die Mitarbeitenden als auch der Eigentümer waren sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Man spürt sofort diese warme, arabische Gastfreundschaft. Trotz eines gut besuchten Samstagabends ging alles überraschend schnell. Das Essen war insgesamt gut: Hummus und Mutabbal waren sehr lecker, Labneh eher durchschnittlich. Auch die Falafel und Kibbeh fanden wir geschmacklich gut, die Preise dafür jedoch recht hoch im Verhältnis zur Menge. Zusätzlich hatten wir Batata Harra (frittierte Kartoffelwürfel). Diese würden wir nicht noch einmal bestellen: sehr salzig, eine winzige Portion und geschmacklich wenig spannend – weder wirklich scharf noch besonders knoblauchlastig. Der Fattoush-Salat war in Ordnung, aber ebenfalls eher klein und kein echtes Highlight. Als Hauptgang hatte ich Shish Tawuk mit Reis. Das Hähnchen war gut, der Reis hat mich geschmacklich nicht ganz überzeugt. Am Ende haben wir zu zweit rund 80 € bezahlt – mit einem Ayran und einem 4cl Arak – und waren nicht wirklich satt. Die Portionen sind eher überschaubar, weshalb uns das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis insgesamt überrascht hat. Geschmacklich solide und vom Service her top – beim Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis sehen wir jedoch noch Luft nach oben.

Wir haben in diesem Restaurant verschiedene Gerichte probiert und alles war insgesamt sehr lecker. Auch das Personal war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Als Vorspeise hatten wir Makanek, das zwar gut, aber eher durchschnittlich war, und Hummus bel Lahme, das wirklich sehr gut geschmeckt hat. Als Hauptgericht bestellten wir den gemischten Grillteller (Mischui Mschakal), der sehr gut und sättigend war.

Waren nach einem Konzert dort und was soll ich sagen: es wird keins mehr ohne geben. Es war super lecker, die Bedienung freundlich und mehr als günstig.

Der herzliche und aufmerksame Service sorgt von der ersten Minute an dafür, dass man sich rundum wohl und willkommen fühlt. Die libanesischen Speisen sind authentisch, unglaublich aromatisch und mit spürbarer Liebe zum Detail zubereitet. In Kombination mit der warmen, einladenden Atmosphäre ist dieses libanesische Restaurant ein echtes kulinarisches Highlight.

The food at the snack bar is always as expected, the prices are reasonable, and the staff is friendly. Unfortunately, they only accept cash (no card payments), otherwise I'd probably be here more often.

We've been regulars here for many years, perhaps even decades. The owner is always welcoming, and the food is consistently excellent. We can't find lamb skewers as good anywhere else. It's made with lamb fillet, and perhaps that's the key. We look forward to many more years.

The food was delicious, and the main course (shawarma) was very filling. It was great that the meat was covered with thin flatbread; that kept it hot longer.

The falafel to go isn't bad, but unfortunately it's prepared rather carelessly. Just some green salad and sauce. The bread is good. Judging by their friendliness, they seem to already have enough customers.

The food was delicious, but the service was terrible. We pre-ordered a mixed platter for 12 people. Even the ordering process was complicated (via email and phone). When we picked up the food at the agreed time, nothing was ready; everything had been forgotten. The fact that the lady who was preparing the platters was herself snacking with her bare hands the whole time didn't make things any better. No apology, no discount, or any kind of understanding. Never again!

Everything at Byblos is just right: fast and friendly service, delicious food with a wide selection, fair prices, and plenty of parking. The menu is clear and straightforward. The food is always fresh and arrives quickly. I enjoy eating there whenever I get the chance and can highly recommend the restaurant!

Very delicious food. The lamb was fantastic and everything was very well seasoned. The appetizers are fascinating, although the portion sizes are a bit small, but they're filling. We'll be back.

What can I say: one of my TOP 3 restaurants in Düsseldorf for 20 years – and THAT means something!!! ALWAYS consistent, top quality. You can sit comfortably in the restaurant, or eat in the "kitchen," the snack bar, if you're in a hurry or need takeout. I could list many, many things you absolutely must try. From the countless cold and warm appetizers like tabbouleh, makali, falafel (the best!), artichoke, hummus… to the incredibly delicious grilled dishes. Just ask for advice… But most importantly: Please don't get an appetizer and eat it alone. Here, we share – order as many things as you can eat, starters, and main courses together. First come the "appetizers." Then combine them as you like and make little wraps… mix and match!!!! And leave some left over until the grilled dishes arrive… combine them with the wraps too! All the sauces and dips are also fantastic – my favorites are the pureed eggplant, the sesame cream, the garlic cream, yogurt with cucumber & mint, and a few others. Oh, and the homemade ayran – very, very good! At the end, when you're full and satisfied, the obligatory black tea with mint arrives as a service. Order some of the super-delicious desserts to go with it – similar to baklava, but not as super-sweet, but packed with nuts and pistachios – amazing! One more thing: They've recently added fries to the menu… I thought to myself, "Fries? Hmmm…" But: they were some of the best fries I've ever had – and at a Lebanese restaurant! Who would have thought? CONCLUSION: For anyone who enjoys the best, varied, fresh, and simply delicious food – healthy, not at all greasy, salty, or sweet – simply perfectly balanced (AND perfect for vegetarians and even vegans), who enjoys socializing, but also wants something quick to eat (the sandwiches!), BYBLOS is simply the perfect place! ———— Tips: - Free parking in the backyard - Make a reservation on weekends - Get advice on what to order - Get shown how to eat - Try the ayran and dessert - It's best to go with several people so you can order lots of things to share! - But it's also best to go alone > then go to the snack bar next door (same quality!)

Great food, environment and service!

The restaurant is definitely really good. We made an online reservation for 12 p.m. (see photo). When we got there, we were quite surprised that only the snack bar was open, and the restaurant didn't open until the evening. Otherwise, we enjoyed the food quite well.

Honestly the food was not tasty we had ordered grilled meat and it was a small portion I think the prices are expensive and the woman was a bit dry

Snack bar Chefs insult their customers in their native language. Very hot, no ventilation in the snack bar. Very oily, and the sandwiches lacked flavor.

I've been going there for decades. It used to be really good, I mean really GOOD. I haven't found a better Lebanese restaurant anywhere in the country, and I visit several all over Germany. But now it's not what it used to be. Portions are getting smaller and more expensive. Although a lot of it has been renovated over the years, it doesn't seem well-maintained or well-thought-out at all. The quality of the food has also declined considerably. I hardly ever see the boss anymore, at least not in the snack bar. Is that why?

We often go here for two to get shawarma and a side dish per person and only pay €25 in total. Price-performance is phenomenal! Very tasty, very nice and very cheap. My favorite Lebanese :))

The restaurant gets its more value from the waiter Khalid. So loving and attentive. The people who work in the kitchen have golden hands.

Leaves a lot to be desired… the store is getting old, the furniture smells musty. The food wasn't particularly tasty either, but I think the prices are quite high. Portions are also quite small.
