Absolut 5 Sterne! Das Essen war einfach unglaublich lecker. Die Gewürze waren perfekt abgestimmt und jedes Gericht hat frisch und authentisch geschmeckt. Ein großes Lob an den Chefkoch – er hat sich mehrmals erkundigt, ob alles schmeckt und ob er noch etwas für uns tun kann. Man merkt sofort, dass ihm das Wohl seiner Gäste wirklich am Herzen liegt. So einen herzlichen Service erlebt man nur selten. Ich komme definitiv wieder und kann dieses Restaurant zu 100 % weiterempfehlen!

Das Essen ist Mega lecker dort auch auf der Marken str . Aber die Frau da am Graf adolf Platz , schreit rum Ist unfreundlich , hat glaube ich Probleme … früher war sie ganz nett

Es war super lecker, die Bedienung war sehr aufmerksam und hat uns sogar noch nen kleinen Nachtisch und Tee serviert aufs Haus - einziges kleines Manko es war etwas kalt, aber es ging :)

Sehr sehr schlecht!!!! Ich würde niemanden empfehlen bei ihm zu bestellen!!!! Bin richtig enttäuscht! Das essen schmeckt überhaupt nicht, und die haben gar keine Ahnung von kochen und essen !!!!! Schämt euch!!! Für sowas mach ich doch kein Restaurant auf!

Die Frau die da arbeitet ist super unfreundlich. Das Essen war furchtbar. Der Laden ist von innen dreckig und staubig. Waren mittags da und es gab nur noch 1! Sorte shawarma. In den Ecken hängen die Spinnen von den Decken. Die Stühle sind ungemütlich und teilweise kaputt, man möchte sich dort erst gar nicht hinsetzen und mit einem Strick zusammen gebunden. Der Laden erscheint insgesamt sehr dreckig und ungepflegt. Das Essen selber war nicht gut und das Fleisch hat nicht geschmeckt.

Ich würde -1 Stern geben, wenn das überhaupt möglich wäre. Das Essen ist gut, aber der Service ist einfach nur furchtbar! Ich wollte nur eine Suppe bestellen, wurde aber dafür angepöbelt und mir wurde gesagt, dass ich keine Suppe bestellen kann, wenn ich nicht mindestens 10 Euro bestelle?! Und wir wollten Shawarma als Wrap, das ging auch nicht. Angeblich geht das nur zum Mitnehmen… Mir fehlen die Worte.

Schlechter und unfreundlicher Service

Lady-owner is not treating people well. Food is good, otherwise they will go out of business. I think they survive thanks to Take-away and internet orders as you do not need to interact with her. We called in advanced, 30min, 5 adults and 5 kids, nothing was available on the menu at 20h, he didnt allow us to stay since she wanted min15€ per person in food excluding drinks (most food was not available, jut a few dishes) without drinks, so we had to leave in the rain.

The worst restaurant ever... extremely bad service... extremely high prices... dirty toilets with absolutely no cleanliness... the restaurant is extremely cold because there is no heating... unfortunately a very bad experience.

I went to this restaurant today, and the food was delicious. After I finished eating, I stayed at the table for a while and drank the tea that was served to me. While I was still sitting, I suddenly started experiencing severe stomach cramps. I left the restaurant and had to quickly find a nearby restroom, where I had a severe bout of diarrhea with excruciating pain. Afterward, I continued to have cramps and went home because I felt very unwell. Unfortunately, I don't tolerate so many different ingredients together very well. It can be very unpleasant for someone with a sensitive digestive system. But the food was truly delicious.

The woman there was extremely unfriendly and seemed to have absolutely no desire to be there. It was as if I was expected to eat what she suggested instead of ordering what I wanted.

Today was my first and last time at this restaurant. The food is delicious, but the woman who works there has a serious problem. She shouts and is very rude. It's a shame. I was hoping I'd finally found an Arabic restaurant nearby, but I definitely won't be going there again, except for online ordering, if that's possible. And I really feel sorry for the employee who works with her.

The food is truly delicious. Unfortunately, the incredibly unfriendly, at times rude, service detracts from the experience. As a guest, you don't want to feel like your presence is an intrusion or that you're essentially unwelcome.

We've been coming to Byblos on Friedrichstraße regularly with my work colleagues since 2019, and we're absolutely thrilled every time! The lady at the counter is not only incredibly welcoming, but also always brings a great sense of humor. Owner Joseph impresses with his professionalism and courtesy; you can immediately tell how much passion he has for his restaurant. The service is first-class, attentive, and friendly. The food, service, and atmosphere are simply top-notch here. Byblos has been our first-choice address for years!

I have the feeling the woman there doesn't want any customers at all; I can't explain her behavior any other way.

Very reasonable prices and very authentic, delicious food. Friendly, attentive staff, and upon request, they'll explain a lot about the meals, allowing you to delve a little deeper into the culinary experience. Truly highly recommended, always worth a visit for me and one of my favorite restaurants in Düsseldorf! :)

Truly delicious. Vegetarian starter plate and the 63 (lamb, fries, and salad). I'd go back anytime. But please make a reservation in advance!

We came, but it was very stuffy, so we left.

I’ve been coming to this place for several years now and keep returning for a reason. I love the food, the service, and the unique cultural clash that happens when ordering. The quality is excellent, and the prices are surprisingly low for what you get. That said, it takes a bit of getting used to how things work here. This isn’t a place for the faint of heart – come prepared, know what you want, and don’t take too long to order 😄

The staff is always unfriendly and unhelpful. The food was bland and didn't seem fresh. For the price, you can get much better quality elsewhere. I won't be back. No greeting or thank you.

The swarma was inexpensive and very tasty. The staff was also friendly.

During peak hours, you'll want to allow plenty of time, as the snack bar gets very busy at lunchtime. The falafel sandwiches and lentil soup are always delicious! The "aggressive behavior" that's been mentioned here is definitely bearable; anyone who sees what goes on there at lunchtime can understand that it can get a bit loud at times.

The employee's behavior was extremely rude, unfriendly, and aggressive. The chicken and salad in the shawarma were very old and had an unpleasant, musty smell. The falafel was rock hard and very dry. Unacceptable. Never again. Not recommended.

I was starving today. I got their shawarma (12 p.m.) and am still full (8 p.m.). For the price? WORLD CLASS! The best €4 I've spent in my life! In addition, the employees were super nice!! <3

Unfortunately we didn't have a good experience last night. The food was ok. The lady who served us was alone and gave us the feeling that we were a nuisance rather than guests. She was soggy and after whoever was there no longer cared about us. To order more drinks you had to go to the front and you were happy that you got something at all. I know Lebanon and am married to a Lebanese woman. Yesterday, that was in no way the hospitality that we know there. It's a real shame ☹️

The friendliest boss there is. First-class friendliness and very tasty food at fair prices. I always enjoy going there.

We often get sandwiches from Byblos and always love them. For a private celebration we ordered catering to be picked up. Everything was delicious, plentiful and good value for money. Gladly again 😊

The lamb fillet was well fried and very tasty. Plus a great, salted yogurt dip. The cucumbers and tomatoes in the salad were a little too coarsely chopped for me, but oh well. The starter with various dips was delicious. Unfortunately not in many small bowls, which would have emphasized the ambience even more, but on a large plate. Busy, friendly waiter, which cannot be said about the front woman.

THE LADY THERE IS THE RUDEST PERSON I HAVE EVER SEEN! She treats you as if she was really doing you a favor… and she treated bad every person I’ve seen in the restaurant every single time I’ve been there. And the food is just average…

I just wanted to get something to eat. When I came in the extremely unfriendly lady behind the counter told me to hurry up and that you can only get something on your hand because she was preparing something. I told her I'd take a quick look at the map. Her answer: “Yes, Zack Zack!” If you don't have time to serve customers, just close the shop for the time :) I'm not coming back!

I absolutely adore this place. For anyone craving some raki or arak, I wholeheartedly recommend it. The heart and soul of this establishment is the lovely Madame Marie, who embodies warmth and hospitality in every sense. Her kindness truly elevates the experience, making every guest feel at home. Had a delicious vegetarian dish in this restaurant for lunch. It was busy and the service was quite busy. All in all a nice experience. No debit card, only cash payment.

You are treated very unfriendly here by the stressed-out waitress behind the counter. There are two types of guests, those who can walk away and have their place reserved, and those who are treated rudely when asked a polite question. It's a shame that this moody service creates such a bad atmosphere, because the food is actually quite good and inexpensive.

No people. Smokes outside, doesn't wash his hands, grabs at the tomatoes and lettuce and with his hands full on the bread that was rolled with his bare hands... collected with the same fingers. Almost all of the food went into the trash.

Hello. The staff is very friendly and the food is also very tasty. I come from Bochum and could compare it with the Karavane restaurant. Price is really good. Menu 2 was available for €23 (July 22, 2024). A lot for one person. Better for two people to take this and add a main course. Unfortunately it's far away from Bochum. Otherwise I would visit it more often. TOP

The food was very tasty, Unfortunately I can't speak about the service because this carnival took place. It seemed like you were a foreign body instead of a paying customer. When asked whether you could order the appetizer plate, you were told that this was not possible if only two out of six people ordered it. The service seemed very overwhelmed, brought food, but not a plate for everyone. Several drinks were also forgotten or people waited a long time with the excuse that the waitress was alone. It's a real shame that the delicious food here in particular can't rely on the really warm service at Markenstrasse... My conclusion: I will only order food here to take away.

Never again. For a birthday with 6 people. The service was friendly but very hectic and annoyed. We weren't allowed to share starters. When we got the starters there were no small plates. The waitress was stressed, for whatever reason, and said she was alone and had to serve all the guests at the front. However, we were the only guests. The food was very good but everything else was not good. Personally, I would have gotten up and left.

Spontaneously hungry for something different! Lebanese food for the first time. The lady of the house was very friendly and helpful! The food was freshly prepared and delicious. Right decision for a change.

Tasty Lebanese food, delicious falafel, kibbeh and hummus, looks like a butcher from outside but actually is a full grown restaurant with a nice levantine atmosphere inside.

If you don't take the main courses in a restaurant, then you are not welcome. They tell you directly at the restaurant that you need to take them. Although this is not written anywhere, it seems to be their custom. Then warn about such conditions in advance, write somewhere so that clients don’t have to waste their time on you either. I really didn't like it. Why can't I just have soup and appetizers for dinner? Why do I have to take the main course if I don’t want to! The soup was also poorly and unevenly heated; it could have been stirred before serving. Not all menu items are available. The interior inside is also not for everybody. Bad service, very unpleasant place. No wonder their restaurant is always empty.

This restaurant is simply great! The food is incredibly delicious, the portions are huge, the conditions are friendly and accommodating and the prices are unbeatable. The only drawback is that card payment is not possible. I hope that's still to come :-)

The food tastes good, but you have to ignore the fact that a pair of gloves is used to prepare the food, collect the money and straighten your hair. In addition, the service seems very irritable and unfriendly. It's just not fun to be treated like that.

My go-to lunch spot for years! The price-performance ratio is unbeatable and the falafel is a dream. Only the staff could be a bit friendlier, but I don't blame them for that given the stress. At least they're trying. If possible I would give 6 stars.

Das Essen hier ist sehr lecker und mal was anderes. Lecker gewürzt und nicht zu scharf. Man kann sowohl drinnen, wie auch draußen essen, die Speisen kann man auch mitnehmen. Alle die dort arbeiten sind sehr freundlich! Das Essen in Byblos zu probieren, lohnt sich auf jeden Fall, wenn man noch nie richtig libanesisches Essen probiert hat!

Super Essen, super Service, super Preise! Haben mit Trinkgeld 20€ p.P. für ein Hauptgericht (Lammspieß) und Getränk gezahlt. Eine Vorspeise gab es auch noch dazu. Der Service war sehr freundlich und das Essen absolut hervorragend. Außerdem hat das Restaurant auch lange offen. Waren erst nach 22 Uhr da und trotzdem gab es noch warme Küche.

Das Essen hat kein Geschmack und die Mitarbeiter/innen sind unfreundlich. Nie wieder…

Wie hier bereits jemand geschrieben hat: man sollte hier dringend mal das Gesundheitsamt vorbeischicken! Mein Essen war ungenießbar, der Wrap hat total verkohlt geschmeckt als ich reingebissen habe. Am nächsten Tag nach dem Essen haben mich starkes Unwohlsein, Durchfall und starke Bauchschmerzen begleitet. Ich kann jedem nur abraten, hier zu essen oder etwas zu bestellen.

Schön wäre wenn man nicht die doof verkauft würde, nur weil der Service nicht zuhört, und wenn dieser auch mal lächeln würde....Freundlichkeit im Service ist doch was schönes oder?

Ich war gestern das erste Mal in Düsseldorf und bin bei Ihnen im Restaurant gelandet, weil ich nur gutes gelesen habe. Aber was mich dort erwartete, habe ich noch nie in meinem Leben erlebt. Ich kam in den Laden rein und wollte was zum mitnehmen bestellen. In der Theke gab es einiges zur Auswahl und ich wusste nicht was das alles ist und wie viel eine Portion kostet. Als ich beim Mitarbeiter nachfragte wieviel das kostet und ob es zum mitnehmen geht, schreit mich plötzlich eine Mitarbeiterin dahinter an die gerade Salat am schneiden war, dass da oben die Karte ist und ich lesen soll und nicht fragen. Sie hat mich regelrecht angepöbelt und böse angeguckt und das ist eine riesen große Frechheit, ich bin freundlich geblieben und bin dann auch gegangen. Von Respekt und Freundlichkeit, hat der Laden absolut nichts zu bieten. Man darf mit einem Kunden, wenn er ruhig und nett fragt, niemals so umgehen. Ich boykottiere sowas und werde jedem den Laden nicht weiterempfehlen.

Wir haben dort schon öfters bestellt, Essen war ganz ok, nicht sonderlich lecker aber ok. Heute hatte ich ein circa 2cm großes stück Plastik im meinem Schawarma und nachdem ich mir die Rezessionen durchgelesen habe hatten wohl auch andere Kundin ähnliche Erfahrungen. Nie wieder.

Großartiges Schawarma, tolle Baklava. Das Team ist im Stress der Mittagspause manchmal etwas zackig in der Kommunikation, dafür hat man sein Essen sehr schnell.

Das Essen bei Byblos ist wirklich extrem lecker und von ausgezeichneter Qualität. Der Service hätte etwas aufmerksamer sein können, so musste ich leider zwei mal aus dem Restaurantbereich in den Imbissbereich gehen, um darauf hinzuweisen, dass wir gerne noch Getränke bestellen möchten. Das schlauchartige Ambiente des Restaurants ist auch nicht unbedingt gemütlich, aber das sehr gute Essen lässt einen über diese Kritikpunkte gerne hinwegsehen!

The atmosphere is stressful, since the workers are most of the time under stress. It is also not really clean. I was new here but after trying couple of time, decided not to buy food from them.

Wir wollten gerne libanesisch Essen gehen und das Byblos hat uns von der Auswahl der Speisen sehr überzeugt. Das Personal und auch die Chefin war zu uns sehr freundlich. Das Essen kam sehr flott und war vom Dip bis zur Falafel sehr lecker.

Jedes Mal wenn ich dort bin, ist es immer ein sehr schönes Erlebnis. Das Essen ist zügig fertig und super lecker. Der Service ist überragend. Wärmstens zu empfehlen.

Ich war nach langer Zeit endlich mal wieder im Byblos Restaurant. Das Essen ist einfach nur köstlich. Hinzu kommt das freundliche Personal und das alles frisch zubereitet wird. Ich komme auf jedenfall wieder. UPDATE: Gestern konnte ich nach langer Zeit endlich wieder ein Schiesch Kebap geniessen. Super lecker und schon alleine ein Grund vorbeizukommen.

I visited this restaurant today with my boyfriend. We are both Lebanese and we were craving some Lebanese food. As soon as we walked in the Lady, who I think is the owner of this restaurant talked to us in a very rude and disrespectful way because we talked in arabic even though we come from the same country. She thinks that she is a queen, now that she lives here in Germany. She is the waitress, she takes the orders and does not have any staff. In conclusion. Never ever come to this restaurant because you will be very disrespected and will have an awful time.
