Best food! Best service! Must try

The food was excellent – fresh, authentic, and full of flavor. I'd especially like to highlight the service: incredibly attentive, friendly, and courteous. Because the machine broke that morning, we couldn't pay by card. So we limited our order to drinks, as we didn't have enough cash with us. The waitress immediately bought us two beers on the house. She responded brilliantly!

The staff were very friendly and attentive, and the portion sizes were generous but it was still overpriced. The chicken was slightly over-seasoned for my taste.

The food was delicious. The lamb was excellent. The value for money for both the starters and main courses was good. The set menus, however, are the best. They are truly top-notch, with a great selection, very good food, and everything included. The service was impeccable, very friendly, and completely unobtrusive. The restaurant is bright and welcoming, and very clean. We felt very comfortable and would gladly return.

I wasn’t really happy with the service. Yes it was full but I’ve been disregarded many times and been promised to come back for my request which never happened. The grill teller was not for me - too dry and missed the juiciness. The falafel was good! Hummus, Mutabal, the salads I’d skip. Eggplant with cauliflower was alright.

This place is a must visit for everyone who is coming to Düsseldorf. We have visited it with my colleagues and everyone was left with a huge impression. Everything is authentic, homemade and all the wines are coming from Lebanon. The food is one of the best we have ever tried! The location and ambience are perfect as well. Amazing food, amazing service. Our waitress Lori has been super nice with us throughout the whole dinner. Also, I have celiac disease and she has been very careful explaining to me which options were gluten free and what I should avoid. Highly recommended.

I was here with my Palestinian business partner. The restaurant has a classical decor. The food is mostly excellent; you can taste the Orient. However, I wasn't impressed with number 134 on the menu; the dish had little connection to Middle Eastern cuisine. Unfortunately, I also have to say that the prices are very high for what's on offer; you can sometimes get better and cheaper food in Essen itself. In summary: Great atmosphere, friendly staff, food is reasonable, but not all of it is authentic, and the prices are definitely on the higher end.

The food was quite okay. But the value for money wasn't optimal. The starters were relatively small, and we also shared a plate for the main course. We asked not to have lamb, but we got lamb anyway.

This is my first time trying Lebanese food, and I couldn't have found a better place. The service was simply magnificent. I think the food was some of the best I've ever eaten, and I've tried everything. The shawarma was spectacular. I'll definitely be back.

Dear Li Beirut Team, We visited you today for my wife's birthday and had a generally wonderful time. Aside from the fact that the food, especially the meat and vegetables, and the raw vegetables, weren't particularly fresh, one thing really bothered us and put a damper on what was otherwise a pleasant experience. We ordered the "platter for two people," which was labeled "€54 per person." It wasn't until we received the bill that we realized the total price was €108. We found the wording on the menu to be misleading, as it can quickly make it seem as if the dish costs a total of €54. Perhaps you could clarify the pricing a bit in the future – something like: "Plate for two people – €108 (€54 per person)" This would avoid potential misunderstandings and increase transparency. Super delicious food in a pleasant, stylish atmosphere. The menu features creative ideas that complement traditional Lebanese cuisine. I (as a connoisseur) have never experienced some of the dishes quite like this before, and we were thrilled. The desserts are also fantastic, and the mastic ice cream with baklava crunch is a must-try. You can't eat your way through the entire menu, but I'm excited about the next dishes we'll try. Elie's Hugo with the homemade lemonade is a hit! Keep it up!

I was particularly impressed by the freshly prepared mezze - the hummus variations and the knefeh were incredibly tasty. The main courses, especially the grilled lamb and shawarma, were tender and full of flavor. You can immediately tell that only high-quality ingredients are used. The wine selection fits perfectly with the menu and rounds off the culinary experience. There is also a great selection of dishes for vegetarians. And best of all, the portions are generous so you can enjoy the food to the fullest. All in all it was a fantastic evening and I will definitely be back. If you love Lebanese cuisine, you've come to the right place!

Unprofessional service, barren canteen atmosphere, portions small and overpriced, taste ok. What we found unpleasant was that the service barely spoke German, wore everyday clothes, patrolled around our table and watched us eat. We could hardly have a conversation and as soon as we had emptied a bowl it was cleared away several times.

Unfortunately not recommended. The food was disappointing. The falafel and kibbeh were too over-fried and hard, the portions were far too small and extremely overpriced. They had been very economical with bread. Unfortunately, the service and the ambience were also not convincing - overall a very unsatisfactory experience. We definitely won't go there again.

Unfortunately a big disappointment. The starter was really tasty, but the main course was a disappointment: small portion, carelessly prepared and dry. The dessert was ok but nothing special. The biggest problem, however, was the service. For the price we paid we would have expected at least a reasonable wait - instead we waited over 1 hour and 15 minutes for the main course. The dessert also came after a long delay. Particularly annoying: The service staff deliberately looked away when we tried to call them to the table. For the money we definitely expected a much better experience. Unfortunately not recommended.

Very nice set-up, great menu, food of the highest quality: served quickly, freshly prepared and absolutely delicious! Unfortunately, we were there on carnival Saturday and although we asked before ordering the second glass of wine and dessert whether it was still a good time, we were basically “turned out”: the service staff first stared at us and then brought the bill without being asked. Not very hospitable. Tip: next time just be honest about when it will close or don't accept any further orders.

Simply outstanding Lebanese food! I visited with my 4-year-old daughter for a special mom-and-daughter date, and the staff couldn’t have been kinder to her. She’s a true hummus enthusiast, while I could practically live off baba ganoush—and Li Beirut did not disappoint! The food was exceptional, bursting with authentic flavors and top-quality ingredients. We loved it so much that now, every time my husband travels to Düsseldorf, he has to bring some back for us. Highly recommended—100%! Plus, you can also order for takeaway.

Disappointing visit - poor organization and little consideration for breaking the fast We were looking forward to a nice evening to break our fast, but unfortunately the visit to this restaurant was not convincing. There were already discrepancies when making the reservation: we were not told on the phone that our table was only available until 8 p.m. - we only found out about this on the day of our visit. When we arrived at 6 p.m., we were among the first guests and were immediately told that we were there to break the fast at 6:30 p.m. Nevertheless, we were the last to receive our entrees – even though we were one of the first groups to order. In addition, the main courses only came three minutes after the starters, so we didn't have time to enjoy the meal in peace. The main course was “ok”. The meat was nothing special and the salad wasn't very seasoned. The rice seemed a bit uninspired. There was a lack of sauces or yogurt to complete the dish. The starters, on the other hand, were perfect and saved the culinary part of the evening a little. Another small detail: there weren't even dates offered to break the fast - a gesture that would have been quite appropriate in a Lebanese restaurant. Overall, the visit was unfortunately not satisfactory. The poor organization and lack of consideration for our situation made the evening unpleasant. The restaurant overall was very noisy as every available space was used and the tables were very close together.
