The Spatzle was INCREDIBLE!! We just stopped in while we were waiting on the train in 2023 and boy am I glad we did! We're headed back in August and cannot wait to go back to this spot. ❤️

Awesome place. The server was personable and laid back. Helped us order. The flam-pizza-kuchen was excellent, though tricky to eat. Great local wine, and the music was great!

Unfortunately that was nothing. Since the beer garden was full, we looked for a place inside. There was enough space. We waited 20 minutes for someone to come for the drinks. And yes, we announced at the counter beforehand that we would sit down. Then we waited another 40 minutes for the food. The dumplings were still unfinished and hard on the inside. And no, we couldn't complain because no one came to our table. The couple next to us wasn't doing any better. We hope it was May 1st and we were just unlucky that the service was subpar. It's a shame, because the team consisted entirely of young people!

Highly recommended. Small menu (3 dishes, all vegetarian), very tasty. A little more choice would be nice (something with meat). Had wild garlic spaetzle, good portion and very tasty. It's just something special about the store but I recommend it.

A very nice beer garden behind the house invites you to have a cool drink when the weather is nice. But you can give yourself the offer of beer with sparkling wine, that doesn't sound tasty.

Really chill gastropub / brewery. There aren't that many food options, but what they have is super tasty (and vegetarian if need/like)

Food delicious, not enough, rest bad! We were crammed into a table of 10 people that was much too small (previously reserved for 10 people). The tables pushed together have different heights; you eat on edges and no one has room. There is a lack of cutlery, the condition is uncoordinated. The food tastes good, but far too little! There is no option to order an appetizer or dessert. You leave hungry or probably order the same thing again for around €13. Had three mini dumplings after a long wait. Price/performance is also rather poor. There was nothing vegan that evening, even though the restaurant is described as vegetarian/vegan. With all the deductions, even the good taste of the micro dumplings can no longer do anything: bad restaurant!

Es ist einmal eine gute Kneipe für die Menschen in Rothenburg gewesen. Heute kann man nur einen Punkt positiver Natur benennen: die Bar- und Bedienmädels sind hübsch. PUNKT ! Ansonsten no Flair, kein Lächeln, einfach nur Bestellungen abarbeiten. Bereits ca. eine halbe Stunde vor der sog. „Letzten Bestellung“ wird hinter dem Tresen abgeräumt, geputzt, gemacht und getan.

No options, small portions for the 4 set items on the "day menu". Called to reserve for lunch and they didn't even mention that there was basically no food. Food took forever to arrive. Place is ok for a beer, nice sitting area outside. Very disappointed experience overall.

I was expecting more of a home-style inn - it's more of a nice place with a Yuppi atmosphere. Clear menu (during our visit: 3 main courses - that's it). Be sure to make a reservation (when it's warm, the outdoor dining area is full). Luckily the Gatsgarten is not on the “main tourist route” but towards the back - really positive.

Staff without structure, one doesn't know what the other is doing. Only vegetarian dishes and there are only three to choose from. Dishes are far too expensive and far too little, spaetzle is completely over salted. When you go to a brewery you expect hearty local dishes, but here you will only be disappointed

Great little beer garden in the yard. A reservation is mandatory otherwise you could be out of luck. Flammkuchen and Kellerbier are highly recommended and delicious. Service very good and accommodating. It was a nice stopover. Recommended.

Great atmosphere right in the old town, cozy and traditional interiors and a small beer garden behind the tower. The restaurant doesn't have much space, so reservations will probably have to be made in the evening. The service was perfect and vegan versions of the dishes were even prepared upon request. Here too there were only three dishes to choose from, but they were really tasty. The lemonades and iced tea are also highly recommended. A little more shade in the beer garden area would be great.

Excellent food. Waiting for the food was worth it. The pinsa and pasta were great!!!! The beer is also great and the atmosphere is very pleasant. It's worth trying. I thought it was great to have few food options, as they focus on making really good dishes! I loved the place and recommend it!

They have achieved a relaxing atmosphere within a traditional style. They have managed to bring light into a typical dark place, achieving a pleasant light effect with soft tones. Congratulations to the young people who run this place. They have managed to create a unique atmosphere without losing the essence of Rothenburg's golden age.

While Rothenburg ob der Tauber is incredibly nice, restaurants seem to be a bit more on the unreasonably pricier side. Landwehr Bräu am Turm is the absolute contrary. It's only a few minutes by foot from the main spots but food & drinks are very reasonably priced and the quality is sublime. Nothing over the top fancy but simply good and well thought out dishes. They have a great variety of beers from their own brewery (and other drinks) and a very small menu of vegetarian dishes. The beer garden is very relaxed and service was incredibly welcoming. Indoors you get the full experience of a traditional Franconian pub. Reservation is recommended due to limited amounts of tables. If you wanna escape the buzz of Rothenburg old town this place is a great spot to do so.

We have been there several times now, including a year apart. It's always the last place we go to on our way home to the RV park because it's open later. But you can also visit the beautiful beer garden during the day, today even with live music. The beer, and especially the "Bonzenschorle", is delicious, the staff is friendly and the atmosphere is cozy. If you like my comment then please give me a 👍 (thumbs up) like!!

We sat outside in the nice weather and unwinded there. We had very tasty Rennerbier, Pinsa and the Spätzle. The service was very friendly and quick. Very good price-performance ratio.

I came here by chance. I sat outside in the beer garden. The atmosphere there is very nice. Right in the old town, but still quietly located on a side street. There were three different vegetarian dishes to choose from. I took the bowl. Extremely delicious. It's great that you can get such delicious, varied vegetarian dishes in a pub. Price-performance is unbeatable. The young team is very nice and the service is excellent. I will gladly come again.

Extrem positiv überrascht. Tolle vegetarische Gerichte. Das Restaurant hat zum einen sehe leckeres Bier und eine kleine aber sehr gute Karte mit vegetarischen Gerichten. Und das ganze auch noch zu super Preisen. Hebt sehr deutlich und positiv von dem allgemeinen Touristenallerlei mit Haxe und Schnitzel zu Mondpreisen ab. Geschmacklich wirklich herausragend und mit viel Liebe zubereitet.

We found the so-called Renner beer really tasty. Everything in terms of ambience and music also fit together well. The bar staff were also friendly and helpful. We'd love to come back.

We were very impressed by the atmosphere because we really like something rustic. There are 3 vegetarian dishes to choose from on the weekend, but we don't know if this is the rule. I can recommend the draft beer, especially the cellar beer, it tastes a bit tasty. The restaurant is run and served by young people. The restaurant concept is very different from the established establishments and is open longer.

This is the bar to visit in Rothenburg late at night. Superb atmosphere and lots of tasty drinks to choose from at a reasonable price. Wonderful.

No menu. No options. Just one item: substandard pizza dressed up as "flambee". Terrible music playing. And the zoomer bartender couldn't care less.

Uriges Restaurant oder eher Kneipe mit sehr sehr leckerem Essen. Es gibt zwar nicht viel Auswahl aber braucht es ja auch nicht immer. Dafür können Sie das Angebotene richtig gut. Personal war auch sehr freundlich und auch preislich mehr als gut. Gerne wieder

Vegetarisch und Vegan. Zwar nur 4 Gerichte zur Auswahl. Aber diese sind lecker und das Personal ist sehr sehr angenehm. Gutes kleines Restaurant mit Charme. Top.

Wir waren (angemeldet) mit einer 39köpfigen Gruppe im Landwehr. Dort war alles bestens vorbereitet, auch die kleine Küche wurde mit zeitgleich Bestellungen erstaunlich gut fertig. Das vegetarische Essen, welches auf einer Tafel angezeigt wurde, mundete allen vorzüglich. Vorspeise eine verfeinerte Kürbissuppe, Hauptspeise Spätzle "mit Zutaten" oder eine Art Pizta - alles sehr lecker. Die junge Bedienung war nie überfordert und erfüllte alle Wünsche schnellstmöglich. Insgesamt eine gute Emofehlung und eine ausgezeichnete Alterbative zur Schweinsbraten-Gastronomie.

Essen konnten wir leider nichts weil innen eine Geburtstagsfeier war und die Küche pausierte. Ansonsten war es super, die Bedienung sehr freundlich und wirklich sehr schnell. Das dunkle Bier schmeckt hervorragend.

Sehr gemütlicher Biergarten zum verweilen mit genüsslichen Getränken! Der urige Innenraum ist super gemütlich und der Service generell hervorragend!!! Das Essen ist ein Geschmackserlebnis, ganz große Kochkunst!!!
