Landgasthof Zur Sonne in Oberursel (Taunus)

I celebrated my birthday party with 42 people in the country inn. During the preparation, I received very good advice from the boss, Ms. Yunaev, and was able to taste the wines free of charge in order to make a decision about which ones I would like to offer. Even though I had already signed the order, Ms. Yunaev was extremely accommodating and I was able to make adjustments afterwards, e.g. B. with the number of guests fluctuating several times. The location is perfect for celebrations. When we arrived on the day of the celebration, we were greeted by a beautifully decorated room that immediately elicited a “WOW” from the arriving guests and made them look forward to the evening. Ms. Yunaev's attentive team ensured that all wishes were implemented quickly and that no glass remained empty for long. The next day I was showered with compliments from my guests about the beautiful location and the delicious food. As a result, my high expectations were perfectly met and what was promised was kept 100%. I can only warmly recommend the location for all kinds of celebrations, because an evening that is perfect in every facet will remain a lasting fond memory. Restaurant very nice in a good location with a view of the skyline. The food itself comes beautifully presented on a plate. Unfortunately, the taste can't keep up with many Oberursel restaurants and it's even more expensive. None of us liked the schnitzel and burgers, either the meat wasn't of high quality or it was frozen schnitzel. The fried potatoes weren't anything special either. The restaurant itself is beautifully designed but also very loud. A few plants between the tables would probably be useful here to reduce the noise. Because of this, this was unfortunately our last visit. At least you now know where you could make improvements.

Restaurant Zur Sonne, simply a beautiful place! I haven't been there in a long time... Incredibly great, attentive, and fast service, quite remarkable. :-) The food was also really, really delicious. Large portions, you're truly full afterward. Excellent value for money. Everything was very clean and the atmosphere/ambience is cozy. I highly recommend this place. In the summer, the view from the terrace is truly breathtaking! Thank you for the food and the service, we'll be back.

This was my first time at Restaurant zur Sonne, and I'm thrilled. Very friendly staff, a lovely atmosphere, and delicious food. I'm already looking forward to enjoying a cool drink on the terrace in the summer.

I can't say anything about the hotel, but I can say about the attached restaurant. It is a home-style restaurant in southern German style. In summer with an outdoor terrace. Sufficient portions and parking spaces on site. Unfortunately, the service has been deteriorating little by little in recent years. The quality of the food is also slightly falling. The mockery was a rice pudding with hot churches for €8.90, the size of a 150g yoghurt from the supermarket with about 6 (!) cherries. I'm out of here for now. The "head" of the service listened to our feedback in silence and didn't say a single word in response.

We were here with 11 people for a goose dinner in the evening and had pre-ordered the food. We really liked it: the food was really well prepared; It's not too loud in the restaurant, so you can have a good conversation. We thought it was so good that we made reservations again for next year.

We were there for dinner and it far exceeded our expectations. Price performance top. The portions were huge and tasted sensationally good. The service was very friendly and accommodating. The atmosphere is very nice. A very successful evening, we will come back and recommend it to others.

Our first visit! Unfortunately mixed! Expectations of the food were 100% fulfilled! Every dish from starters to main course (goose breast, salmon, ox cheeks, schnitzel) is juicy, incredibly tender! Terrific! Big compliments to the kitchen, I haven't eaten something so tasty for a long time. Unfortunately, communication was rather poor, online booking worked, unfortunately when we came in we were asked by three of the staff whether we had a reservation, no one really knew and we were seated at a free table, visibly disoriented, even though there was information in the online reservation that it is a high birthday. The information when we were greeted in the restaurant that a large group of 30 people was sitting in the really beautiful but very acoustically bright room and that it could get louder due to the celebration/Christmas party or something similar and that we would have had the choice to decide We were not informed about the cultivation. What a shame! When planning the rooms, it would have been appropriate to place such a large group in the annex during ongoing operations, as the volume became so high that we and (including the other tables around us) had to shout at each other. Our birthday child had to take out his hearing aids because it was unbearably loud. We would have loved to stay longer, but after the main course we decided to leave and skip dessert etc. Very unfortunate. The staff was very friendly and clearly tried not to lose track, we didn't have to wait long for our food, everything went pretty quickly at the other tables too. Unfortunately, due to the high volume, requests to get the card again were ignored, although 3 people at our table asked for it or whatever, that was the moment we decided to leave. Unfortunately, our first visit lacked cosiness! We will definitely try again but will definitely ask if there are any big celebrations. Maybe more in summer as there is a wonderful outside area. Now that we know how the rooms are divided, we can decide where we will sit next time.

Unfortunately, the truffle pasta didn't taste like truffles and the schnitzel was okay. Price performance was ok, the service could have been more attentive.

My family and I had the pleasure of attending their New Year's Eve party and I have to say, it was a special evening! One of the highlights of the evening was the diverse range of dishes from different national cuisines. It was a culinary trip around the world right on our plates! From exotic spices to familiar dishes, each dish transported us to a different corner of the globe. It was a delicious exploration of flavors and textures, and the variety ensured there was something to suit every palate. The ambience was nothing short of magical. The decoration reflected the spirit of the occasion, with tasteful arrangements and festive touches creating an enchanting setting. In conclusion, it can be said that the New Year's Eve party at "zum Sonne" exceeded all expectations. The fantastic time spent with family, the fresh and tasty food and the international culinary journey made it an unforgettable celebration. We can't wait to make this a tradition! I recently had the pleasure of dining at "zur Sonne" and I have to say it was an experience that exceeded all expectations. One of the highlights that immediately caught my eye was the restaurant's commitment to using only the freshest ingredients in its culinary creations. Now let's get to the star of the evening - the burger. Oh, what a burger that was! A true masterpiece that showcased the chef's dedication to perfection. The meat was juicy and tasty, cooked perfectly, beautifully seared on the outside and juicy on the inside. The service at “zur Sonne” deserves its own round of applause. The staff were not only attentive but also had genuine enthusiasm to ensure our dining experience was exceptional. I left "Zu Sonnen" with a satisfied palate, a full stomach and a heart full of gratitude for the incredible team behind this gastronomic masterpiece. Highly recommended!

Super, Restaurant baulich top, Mitarbeiter super freundlich und zuvorkommend, Speisenauswahl riesig und optisch klasse und dann noch super lecker. Preislich angemessen. Obwohl sehr viele Gäste da waren, ging es zügig. Die Tische sind großzügig verteilt im Raum Drei Konfirmationen mehrere Geburtstage es war immer perfekt organisiert und lecker.
