The Braunhaus Oberursel is always worth a visit 😁🍺🍽️🍗🥨 Unfortunately there are no real fried potatoes as a side dish for the schnitzel, only russet potatoes, which make less work for the kitchen but are not particularly tasty either.

Great beer. Food good too. Even when there is a lot of activity, things move quite quickly here.

The beer is good. The food was very weak. Breading is like schnitzel from a discount store, the fried potatoes are fluffy. So if you could at least get a huge amount on your plate in terms of quality, then it would be an acceptable concept. I won't come back and would advise against it.

Quaint restaurant with good beer and super crispy knuckles.

I had reserved for two people and we were seated at a table for probably 6-8 people, which surprised us. When the waitress came, I hadn't looked at the menu yet because we were just sitting down. I ordered a sweet sparkling apple cider. Didn't know there wasn't one there though. Instead of being pointed out nicely, I was simply told “We are a brewery, we don’t serve cider”. That was actually enough for me. What is contradictory, however, is that they offer Wildberry Lillet & Aperol Spritz since they are a “brewery”. 😄 After 4-5 minutes a group of several people came and were seated at our table. I personally find it absurd. If I go out to eat with someone, I don't want to be seated at a table with strangers. Guests must be informed about this in advance. Wasn't done here. We left after less than an hour because it was difficult to have a conversation because the neighbors' conversations were constantly in our ears. The frankfurter schnitzel with a hefty price was ok, nothing outstanding, just a bit dry. You also notice that it is mass processing and that the well-being of the guests is put aside. Apparently the owners are doing too well. It's nice to sit here in the summer, but I won't be visiting the brewery again in the future.

Were there shortly before Christmas - very full, it was just check-in - price/performance/taste...... - - Of course the prices have risen everywhere... but a goose leg with a dumpling and a spoonful of red cabbage for €36 or even €39 is a decent price.

Great service! The tattooed gentleman hit the perfect sweet spot of being atmospheric, laid back and cool, but without being awkward/intrusive which is very rare. The rind of the knuckle was great, exceptional beer variations (really tasty). Prices were also fair. People are also happy to give tips. The dumpling could have been 20-30% bigger, but that's complaining at a high level.

Cozy inn in Bavarian style. Here you can enjoy delicious food in a hearty atmosphere, with an emphasis on regional products. There is also a small selection for vegetarians. I particularly want to highlight the offer for children's dumplings with sauce for €0. A nice idea.

Good German food. My friend did try a lighter, "healthy" dish and thought she should have gone traditional instead.

Prices are (now) pretty steep, but the quality is good and the taste is delicious. Pork schnitzel with a side dish (without salad, this has to be paid extra) > 21 € is already at the limit. Basically still recommended.

Overall, our Christmas party was very successful. The mulled wine reception was a great start, and the goose and the side dishes were really tasty. The service was attentive, but could have been a little more friendly. All in all, a very successful evening. Recommended!

Delicious food in a harmonious old ambience, the staff is very attentive.

It's not without reason that the Alt-Oberurseler Brauhaus is so well attended. You feel really comfortable here and are very well looked after by the staff. Everyone is totally on their toes. The ambience is simply special. We also really liked the fact that we could quickly start a conversation with the people sitting next to us. The scope of the menu is perfect for a brewery and, above all, you should also take a look at the specials. At Christmas time, for example, goose. The portions are large enough and even the side salads are well put together. Handkäs with music is recommended as a starter. In terms of taste, not only the food but also the beer impressed us. The Christmas goat tastes very good. Parking in the immediate area is a bit difficult, but you can adjust to that. A visit is definitely recommended.

Beautiful mansion in a historic German house. We were a group of friends, they gave us a table in a room upstairs, intimate and welcoming. The food was very good and cared for. I recommend this restaurant

Simple cuisine, nice surroundings

Today we went to the brewery with dear friends for a goose meal, followed by a tour of the premises (private). The mulled wine outside was also excellent. We felt very comfortable in the brewing room and the staff was absolutely super friendly and accommodating. Our friend, who hadn't been to the brewery yet, really enjoyed it and it certainly won't be his last time there.

Quaint inn, which is unfortunately becoming increasingly rare. We were here with a group for a cozy evening. Food, drink top! We had the goose menu for 4 people each, simply delicious. The goose is crispy and delicious. Dumplings and red cabbage exactly right and like they came from grandma's kitchen. Plus a cleverly baked baked apple with marzipan and great-tasting chestnuts. The home-brewed light and dark is extremely tasty and comes cool and fresh on tap. The service matched this impression perfectly, attentive but not intrusive. Simply harmonious with the restaurant and the area, authentic, you feel comfortable here. Hopefully see you again soon at the “Orcheler” brewery.

Great food, delicious beers, friendly and fast service, reasonable prices in a cozy atmosphere. What more could you want? Parking spaces and houses can be reached in 5 minutes.

I went there without reservation at 12:00 noon today. The staff kindly arranged a table. Thank you very much. The food is served quickly, and the store’s signature dish, roasted pork knuckle, is well-deserved. We have eaten roasted pork knuckle five times in Munich and other places, and the one here is the best. The beer from the old brewery is certainly worth recommending. The other three dishes also tasted good. The bathroom is spacious and clean.

Das Bier war lecker und die Gans saftig. Leider war der Rotkohl kalt, eine Ente klein und sehr trocken. Das Schnitzel wurde als schlecht eingestuft. Ein Gericht wurde falsch geliefert. Schuld war der Gast. Der Kaiserschmarrn war kalt und hart, wurde also nicht frisch angefertigt. Das Personal war und hilfsbereit, wirkte aber wenig kompetent und lösungsorientiert.

I like to come here again and again for a cozy get-together, to try beers 🍺 that you wouldn't otherwise drink and of course to eat. In summer there is a very nice beer garden here. The seasonal dishes are very delicious, I had tender game goulash and would have loved to order more. I would happily recommend the brewery 👍👏🏼.

The food tastes good, the staff is friendly, the restaurant is very large and very loud, which is quite appropriate for this type of restaurant. Prices are still the same.

From the first moment everything was excellently organized. The tour was very informative and entertaining - the brewery guides impressed with a lot of passion and knowledge. The staff was also extremely friendly and attentive. The food was delicious and perfectly rounded off our stay. We felt completely at home and can only warmly recommend the brewery. We ate here with 10 people on a Thursday. All meals were very tasty. The service was friendly and very on the ball. But a bit too loud for a cozy evening. Finding a parking space should be planned.

Nach längerer Zeit mal wieder da gewesen. Zum ersten Mal in nicht im Hauptgebäude, sondern hinter dem Biergarten. Da saßen wir sehr nett. Das Bringen der Speisen war leider chaotisch, da sie unseren Tischnachbarn mehrfach die falschen Speisen gebracht haben. Die Maronensuppe war sehr lecker (aber auch vergleichsweise teuer); den danach als Hauptspeise bestellten Kaiserschmarrn (unter vegetarische Gerichte) gibt es angeblich nicht, sondern nur unter Nachtisch. Diesen sollten sie nach der Suppe direkt noch während der Hauptspeisen der anderen bringen. Allerdings kam dieser dann trotz Nachfrage erst nach der Runde der Bestellung des Desserts der anderen. Abgerechnet wurde es dann beim Gutschein als Hauptgang (wofür die Portion und definitiv das fertige Apfelmus viel zu wenig war; an letzterem muss man aus Kostengründen nun wirklich nicht sparen; und ein Klecks Preiselbeeren hätte dem Gericht auch gut getan). Dabei habe ich aufgrund der eher unterdurchschnittlichen Bewertungen und eigener Erfahrungen im Schwesterrestaurant schon von Fleischgerichten abgesehen. Leider dann doch auch keine gute Entscheidung. Die anderen waren mit Gänsekeule (extrem teuer) und Schweinebraten jedoch zufrieden. Abschliessend wie leider fast schon üblich bei Gutscheinen, haben sie es auch hier nicht geschafft, die Speisen und Getränke auf die verschiedenen Rechnungen konkret zu verteilen.

Food good...home brewed beer very good.

Nice old building and nice service, the atmosphere could be more cozy in my opinion, but that's certainly debatable. Unfortunately we had to wait a long time for the food (over an hour). When it finally arrived, the schnitzel was neither particularly warm nor was the quality appropriate for the high prices. The beer, however, tasted good.

Been there and eaten several times. Unfortunately there is still the Oktoberfest menu. The food is bourgeois, but the prices are very high. People are herded together like cattle. Still couldn't place a food order after 25 minutes.

Eine dieser typischen Brauhausgststätten. Es fehlt die Patina, alles wirkt etwas jünstlich und zu neu. ansonsten eher Standard. Essen durchschnittkich, nihts besonderes. Das Bier war ok, aber auch kein Alleinstellungsmerkmal. In all ok, aber nict mehr.

David in the brewery – the guy not only deserves applause, but also a hefty raise! Before we even knew what we wanted to order, he was already there and obviously knew exactly what we needed. The man reads minds - or simply has a good feeling for thirsty souls. 🍻 While other waiters manage to leave you sitting at the table like a ghost for 15 minutes, David shows up like he has superpowers. The drinks came so quickly that we briefly thought he had a secret tunnel to the tap. And yes, he laughed at us all evening - not at us, but with us, at least we hope so. 😂 To the board: Give this man a raise - you don't get that kind of service every day!

So what can I say – David at the Brauhaus is simply a legend! We had barely said “One million beers, please!” when he was already standing at the table with two perfectly chilled glasses, as if he had suspected that we were really thirsty today. His vision was as precise as a laser, his timing better than any Netflix binge, and his humor... well, David should seriously consider stand-up. He served us as if we were the kings of the brewery - only without a crown, but with more foam! 🍺🍺 If you're at the brewery and David is at the start, just order “One million beers” and be surprised at how far he gets. Cheers to David!

I was hoping for more. To put it simply, the service was not very motivated and changed during our visit to the beer garden. It was nicely decorated there, but there was no atmosphere. Yes, and the food was also pretty bad: cold soup in a hot container, clearly from the microwave, greasy cheese spaetzle, ... you don't have to put up with that!

NEVER TAKE-OUT /TO-GO left FOOD HERE!!! they charge you 10 EUR for Rebowl which is actually 5 EUR which is totally a scam. They also charge you extra euros just to get small plate. I took my friends there and it was a very disappointing experience there. This was my favorite restaurant since 2012. But now I have to find a new restaurant to bring my friends and family. Unfriendly staff especially the tall man.

It's the best brewery we've ever been to. The food is sensational, the beer is simply a dream. The staff is always very friendly, and we would particularly like to highlight Ms. Dietz. We recommend this brewery to our friends and family at any time.

As always, the food was delicious and the service was very nice and accommodating. We always enjoy coming back.

Got a chance to get some internationals a chance to experience some German cuisine without the Oktoberfest. The place has a very relaxed yet very specific german vibe which is what we really needed. Our guests from the US and UK really enjoyed the experience as well as the food that was offered. I think because the location is very deep in German heartlands, there is no options for English menus but I think that would have been helpful as well as possibly having pictures of the food so people know what they are getting. Also maybe consider half portions as an option especially for those who don't have a big appetite and don't want to waste food. The service was really good and the waiters and waitressea really tried their best to accommodate the lack of German language skills at the table.

Well, there were some initial difficulties as our telephone reservation couldn't be found, but they tried to find a place! The service in the wedding room on September 27th, 2024 in the evening was top 👍🏼! Food is definitely good! Oh, just let yourself be inspired in the brewery and then you can rate it for yourself!!!

Die Speisekarte brauhaustypisch, umfangreich, zu angemessenen Preisen. Speisen und Getränke zügig gereicht, der Service perfekt - ein Brauhaus-Biergarten, wie man es sich wünscht!

We were there with several people. The pork knuckle was not what you would imagine a knuckle to be. The crust wasn't crispy and the knife that went into it was blunt. Two forks would have been the same. The hand cheese almost walked off the plate by itself, so it was totally over it. The onion schnitzel wasn't a hit either!

The food is very tasty, the atmosphere is rustic, but very loud when the restaurant is full. The service could also be a little more attentive. All in all, a great place to have a good, tasty meal.

Unfortunately, the waiting times today are underground. The drinks have been taking forever and the food has been taking even longer. It's a shame, you could have said that when ordering.

We normally bring a party of clients to the Brauhaus when Automechanika is in Frankfurt messe. I made a reservation for 10 people on Google as I usually do.when we arrived there we were met by an employee named Vitali who enquired whether we had made a reservation. I showed him my reservation on my phone, he proceeded to scroll through his phone while shaking his head. I managed to spot my name on his phone.I proceeded to show him on his phone so as not to go through the head shaking motions. To my utter surprise he suddenly forced his palm at my face whilst clutching his phone to his chest as if to suggest that I had invaded his space. I was taken aback and my clients immediately reacted in astonishment at Vitali's manner and aggressive behavior. After an uncomfortable time he finally found my reservation and showed my party to a table. To my surprise one of the female staff approached me to enquire whether I had a reservation I once again showed her my reservation on my phone.whuch she found on her phone...Vitali..... You with you poor behavior ensured that will find another restaurant to entertain my clients in future..shame on the owners of the Brauhaus for employing emotionally unintelligent employees such as Vitali to receive guests.....no more Brauhaus for me...after 12 years of awesome meals

As a resident, I can say there is a great beer garden right outside the door. With delicious food and great service, a place to have a great time. The roast pork even has a friendly face.

We are regular guests and have been for years...unfortunately the food today was a disaster, I also complained about it but unfortunately it was ignored...it's a shame but we probably won't be back any time soon...

Essen kann man nicht mehr empfehlen und negative Bewertungen in Google werden gelöscht....aus Kritik sollte man lernen und nicht ignorieren...wir waren Stammgäste...das sind wir nicht mehr...das Essen war eine Katastrophe heute und als ich dies äußerte wurde das ignoriert...das ist mir noch nie passiert...echt traurig...man kennt ja sehr viele und das wird sich rum sprechen das ist schade..und wenn sie das hier auch löschen dann haben sie nicht verstanden wie man Gäste behandelt.

And after 5 hours of walking around the fair we finally had an excellent Bavarian style dinner in the town brewery in Oberursel where we also stayed to sleep. The photos speak for themselves...everything delicious and a great atmosphere on Friday evening. 15 km north of Frankfurt a place that was full of beautiful people last night. The beer, produced by the brewery, is also excellent. A very good 5 proof lager. Absolutely recommended!

Great rooms, beautiful kettles, very nice service, everything served very quickly - drinks after 1 minute, food in a few minutes. Tastiest knuckle I've eaten in my life! A dream!
