It's only 20 minutes from Frankfurt Central Station, so I was debating whether to go or not, but the atmosphere was great, and the beer and food were both delicious. The Weizen was really good.

Parking is a bit difficult due to the downtown location, but it's manageable in the surrounding area.

It's comfortable to sit outside even in the rain, the food is delicious (there's even a purely vegetarian option), and the daily special isn't even expensive. The beer is delicious. Of course, only large breweries offer non-alcoholic beer in bottles; no small brewery could afford to dealcoholize.

Very nice shop. Extremely motivated and efficient staff. Hopefully, the extremely high prices are passed on to the employees. You immediately feel like going out when you enter the lively beer garden, and the beer tastes great too. Food: For us, the price/performance ratio was out of proportion. The child-sized mini schnitzel with a few chanterelle mushrooms, served with a flavorless sauce for €26.80, is really a statement. Unfortunately, the knuckle of pork wasn't good either, which usually tastes much better. Something was missing; overall, the flavor was very weak. A shame. I'm happy to pay such prices, but then the product has to be great. It makes you angry and feels unfair. Perhaps this feedback will help you.

We've always enjoyed coming here, but the prices and portions are no longer in reasonable proportion. €15 for a mini portion of green sauce with egg and potatoes, €5.60 for a purchased bottle of beer worth €0.80. It spoils your appetite. The offered second helping, by the way, comes with a certain inhibition. You feel like you're asking for more than you're entitled to. The waiters are also very reserved when requesting a second helping; at best, you're offered additional side dishes, but not with a "but of course!" The neutral observer therefore sees this as a nicely packaged, additional price increase. In reality, the above-mentioned vegetable dish costs about €20 in a standard portion. And that's where it simply ends. We therefore come less often. In our opinion, it would be better for everyone if everyone happily ordered more, fixed costs were better distributed, everyone could live comfortably off the higher sales with a reasonable profit, and everyone could thus have more fun together.

We were spontaneously looking for a place to eat and came across the Alt-Oberursler Brauhaus – so we jumped in the car and headed there! The moment we arrived, we were immediately impressed by the large, beautiful beer garden. We were seated immediately and served by a friendly waiter. Drinks arrived after just five minutes – fantastic! We had schnitzel "Hunter's Style" for dinner and Kaiserschmarrn for dessert – both were delicious and highly recommended. Excellent value for money, and the service was quick and attentive. We'd definitely come back!

Visited a restaurant to celebrate my mother-in-law's visit to Germany. Schnitzel, Haxen, salad, and three glasses of beer came to around 150 euros. The food was edible, but there were a lot of flies. It was so hot inside that I sat outside. I was trying to ward off the flies, so I wondered if the food was going into my nose or mouth.

Good, home-style cooking with changing seasonal offerings. The grilled knuckle of pork is highly recommended. In summer, you can sit and eat in the beer garden under the chestnut trees. The Brennbar is attached to the brewery and features live music on Thursdays.

I had dinner at this restaurant, and everything seemed very good to me! ✨ The restaurant, although old, has many objects that give you the impression that they have been kept there since the building was built. The way everything is kept gives free rein to your imagination, and historical moments can easily unfold in your mind when you look around. The food was very good, and the beer was unique! 🥰 I am not a beer drinker, but their beer tastes very good and from my point of view it is very light🍻 For a dinner for 5 Persians plus beers, I paid approximately €200.00 🙂 We recommend it and if we pass through Frankfurt again we will probably taste other delicacies! PS. The girl who served us was very kind and nice, always smiling and seemed very cheerful 🥰

Beer was good. Food was completely overpriced. Schnitzel was wafer-thin and arrived at the table no more than 5 minutes after ordering. Sausage salad was also ice-cold because it was pre-portioned. Fried potatoes were probably kept warm all the time. I'd happily return for another beer. No to the food.

In keeping with old German tradition, this is still a Strauss restaurant with its own beer, good food and good service. There are almost only benches for young people, but pensioners tend to get lumbago or a stiff neck.

Hey everyone... If you want to have a nice evening, eat well, and go home feeling really full, without your wallet crying bitterly, then I highly recommend this restaurant. Friendly staff and a nice atmosphere, everything clean and the food is great. The pork knuckle is to die for and what a great eater! 🤪 What more could you want?

Wir kommen seit über 25 Jahre ins Brauhaus, aber es war jetzt definitiv das letzte Mal. Das Essen ist enttäuschend. Das Frankfurter Schnitzel und das Jägerschnitzel war leider nicht frisch zubereitet. sondern schmeckte aufgewärmt und trocken. Die Bratkartoffeln hätten knuspriger sein sollen, aber sie waren eher weich und gekocht. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis stimmt leider nicht mehr, die Qualität war nicht angemessen und total überteuert. Die grüne Soße war in Ordnung, aber nicht besonders. Die MA sind sehr freundlich und kompetent. Das Ambiente war gemütlich und angenehm. Da ist noch Luft nach oben, es war einmal empfehlenswert. Schade.

Last Saturday, we were with friends in the packed beer garden of the "Alt Oberurseler Brauhaus." Accordingly, it took quite a while for the food to arrive, but longer waits were to be expected. I really enjoyed the "side salad." I also found the "Nürnberger Rostbratwurst" quite good. The "Röstkartoffeln" (roasted potatoes) were very decent. The vegetarian "Brauhaus Flammkuchen with fruity tomato sauce, seasonal summer vegetables, herbs, and balsamic vinegar" wasn't my cup of tea.

A place exactly as I imagined it. We were able to sit in the cozy beer garden and enjoy a very good meal. The service was very friendly and attentive. We'd be happy to come back.

Super good food. Update 2025: The food is still good, but unfortunately, it's become very expensive. A year ago, the schnitzel was 20% cheaper and also larger than it is now. Now the price has increased from €17.80 to €21.30. With salad, it's €25, which is what you'd get for a Wiener veal schnitzel in Frankfurt.

The ambiance was rustic, the service first-class. The knuckle of pork was absolutely amazing. I've never had such a great knuckle of pork with such a great crust. The meatloaf and the small roast pork were also very tasty. The hand cheese with the light mustard sauce was unusual. Nevertheless, it was also very tasty. We were absolutely satisfied. Unfortunately, we were so busy eating that we forgot to take photos. But they already have those. The deposit system was available for takeaway for 5 euros. This can also seems to be of very good quality. We'd be happy to come back.

To sum it up: Excellent German cuisine, truly delicious, in a traditional setting, and with outstanding service. I'll definitely be back soon and often!

I go there often. My verdict isn't always the same (good). But today it was a disaster: They made me wait 25 minutes, even though I had already ordered one of the two dishes from the lunch menu. Then they told me that the dish was no longer available. And that was with the outdoor area at about 30% capacity. It's simply abysmal. It'll be a long time before I go there again...

Actually, it's a nice place to linger, with very friendly and competent staff. The beer in a brewery like this just isn't to everyone's taste, which is why it's very strange that they no longer serve apple wine, especially in Hesse. The food offered here is tasty, but sometimes it's not commensurate with the price. The sausage salad (see pictures) costs €15.80. It tasted passable, although it was overly acidic. In the second picture, I didn't eat half of it; it wasn't more than that. We're not even talking about 100 grams of sausage!? And that's definitely bordering on a rip-off!!!

The atmosphere is rustic and cozy, just what you'd expect from a real brewery. The food was extremely delicious, freshly prepared, and truly hearty. The service deserves special mention: exceptionally friendly, attentive, and simply welcoming. A clear recommendation – we'll definitely be back!

The menu and service should be more clearly marked that the daily specials are only available at a reduced price until 7 p.m. If you arrive at 6:45 p.m., choose your food, and order at 7:05 p.m., a prior warning from the waiter would be more than just nice.

Great location...a traditional old brewery, always busy with great food and drinks, and attentive and friendly service. They have a beautiful beer garden, and often host events, concerts, and private events. They also offer good, seasonal lunch and weekly specials.

I took a group of 24 tourists from Korea to this restaurant. As a bus driver, I asked the staff twice where I could sit to eat. I was told I had to sit with the other guests—which is unusual. It's common practice for drivers to eat separately so they can take a break in peace, without constant stares or questions in a language they don't understand. I was told there was no other place for me, so I had to leave the restaurant hungry. This attitude is very disappointing. As a driver who has spent many hours on the road, I would have expected at least a little understanding and consideration.

We booked a table for two and were seated at a table for 6. At first it wasn't bad, as our dinner was of a business nature and we were able to chat in a relaxed and undisturbed manner. After a while two more people were seated at the table. This was unpleasant for us, as was the strange couple. The waitress just told us that the restaurant was fully booked and that the table would be full sooner or later. I was speechless for a moment and found this outrageous. Due to the fact that our table was involuntarily occupied by other ears, our evening was over. We ate our ordered food and left straight away. The food was absolutely delicious, but absolutely unsuitable for a business dinner in the evening, which is a shame.
