Food good...home brewed beer very good.

Nice old building and nice service, the atmosphere could be more cozy in my opinion, but that's certainly debatable. Unfortunately we had to wait a long time for the food (over an hour). When it finally arrived, the schnitzel was neither particularly warm nor was the quality appropriate for the high prices. The beer, however, tasted good.

Been there and eaten several times. Unfortunately there is still the Oktoberfest menu. The food is bourgeois, but the prices are very high. People are herded together like cattle. Still couldn't place a food order after 25 minutes.

David in the brewery – the guy not only deserves applause, but also a hefty raise! Before we even knew what we wanted to order, he was already there and obviously knew exactly what we needed. The man reads minds - or simply has a good feeling for thirsty souls. 🍻 While other waiters manage to leave you sitting at the table like a ghost for 15 minutes, David shows up like he has superpowers. The drinks came so quickly that we briefly thought he had a secret tunnel to the tap. And yes, he laughed at us all evening - not at us, but with us, at least we hope so. 😂 To the board: Give this man a raise - you don't get that kind of service every day!

So what can I say – David at the Brauhaus is simply a legend! We had barely said “One million beers, please!” when he was already standing at the table with two perfectly chilled glasses, as if he had suspected that we were really thirsty today. His vision was as precise as a laser, his timing better than any Netflix binge, and his humor... well, David should seriously consider stand-up. He served us as if we were the kings of the brewery - only without a crown, but with more foam! 🍺🍺 If you're at the brewery and David is at the start, just order “One million beers” and be surprised at how far he gets. Cheers to David!

I was hoping for more. To put it simply, the service was not very motivated and changed during our visit to the beer garden. It was nicely decorated there, but there was no atmosphere. Yes, and the food was also pretty bad: cold soup in a hot container, clearly from the microwave, greasy cheese spaetzle, ... you don't have to put up with that!

NEVER TAKE-OUT /TO-GO left FOOD HERE!!! they charge you 10 EUR for Rebowl which is actually 5 EUR which is totally a scam. They also charge you extra euros just to get small plate. I took my friends there and it was a very disappointing experience there. This was my favorite restaurant since 2012. But now I have to find a new restaurant to bring my friends and family. Unfriendly staff especially the tall man.

It's the best brewery we've ever been to. The food is sensational, the beer is simply a dream. The staff is always very friendly, and we would particularly like to highlight Ms. Dietz. We recommend this brewery to our friends and family at any time.

Got a chance to get some internationals a chance to experience some German cuisine without the Oktoberfest. The place has a very relaxed yet very specific german vibe which is what we really needed. Our guests from the US and UK really enjoyed the experience as well as the food that was offered. I think because the location is very deep in German heartlands, there is no options for English menus but I think that would have been helpful as well as possibly having pictures of the food so people know what they are getting. Also maybe consider half portions as an option especially for those who don't have a big appetite and don't want to waste food. The service was really good and the waiters and waitressea really tried their best to accommodate the lack of German language skills at the table.

Well, there were some initial difficulties as our telephone reservation couldn't be found, but they tried to find a place! The service in the wedding room on September 27th, 2024 in the evening was top 👍🏼! Food is definitely good! Oh, just let yourself be inspired in the brewery and then you can rate it for yourself!!!

Die Speisekarte brauhaustypisch, umfangreich, zu angemessenen Preisen. Speisen und Getränke zügig gereicht, der Service perfekt - ein Brauhaus-Biergarten, wie man es sich wünscht!

Best game goulash ever! Only recommended 😄

We were there with several people. The pork knuckle was not what you would imagine a knuckle to be. The crust wasn't crispy and the knife that went into it was blunt. Two forks would have been the same. The hand cheese almost walked off the plate by itself, so it was totally over it. The onion schnitzel wasn't a hit either!

The food is very tasty, the atmosphere is rustic, but very loud when the restaurant is full. The service could also be a little more attentive. All in all, a great place to have a good, tasty meal.

Unfortunately, the waiting times today are underground. The drinks have been taking forever and the food has been taking even longer. It's a shame, you could have said that when ordering.

We normally bring a party of clients to the Brauhaus when Automechanika is in Frankfurt messe. I made a reservation for 10 people on Google as I usually do.when we arrived there we were met by an employee named Vitali who enquired whether we had made a reservation. I showed him my reservation on my phone, he proceeded to scroll through his phone while shaking his head. I managed to spot my name on his phone.I proceeded to show him on his phone so as not to go through the head shaking motions. To my utter surprise he suddenly forced his palm at my face whilst clutching his phone to his chest as if to suggest that I had invaded his space. I was taken aback and my clients immediately reacted in astonishment at Vitali's manner and aggressive behavior. After an uncomfortable time he finally found my reservation and showed my party to a table. To my surprise one of the female staff approached me to enquire whether I had a reservation I once again showed her my reservation on my phone.whuch she found on her phone...Vitali..... You with you poor behavior ensured that will find another restaurant to entertain my clients in future..shame on the owners of the Brauhaus for employing emotionally unintelligent employees such as Vitali to receive guests.....no more Brauhaus for me...after 12 years of awesome meals

As a resident, I can say there is a great beer garden right outside the door. With delicious food and great service, a place to have a great time. The roast pork even has a friendly face.

We are regular guests and have been for years...unfortunately the food today was a disaster, I also complained about it but unfortunately it was ignored...it's a shame but we probably won't be back any time soon...

Essen kann man nicht mehr empfehlen und negative Bewertungen in Google werden gelöscht....aus Kritik sollte man lernen und nicht ignorieren...wir waren Stammgäste...das sind wir nicht mehr...das Essen war eine Katastrophe heute und als ich dies äußerte wurde das ignoriert...das ist mir noch nie passiert...echt traurig...man kennt ja sehr viele und das wird sich rum sprechen das ist schade..und wenn sie das hier auch löschen dann haben sie nicht verstanden wie man Gäste behandelt.

And after 5 hours of walking around the fair we finally had an excellent Bavarian style dinner in the town brewery in Oberursel where we also stayed to sleep. The photos speak for themselves...everything delicious and a great atmosphere on Friday evening. 15 km north of Frankfurt a place that was full of beautiful people last night. The beer, produced by the brewery, is also excellent. A very good 5 proof lager. Absolutely recommended!

Great rooms, beautiful kettles, very nice service, everything served very quickly - drinks after 1 minute, food in a few minutes. Tastiest knuckle I've eaten in my life! A dream!

Completely ignored by the staff, waiters walk past to sit and chat with other customers instead of taking an order. I have never had worse service in my lifetime. You can't judge the quality of the beer if you're not being served. And that on Friday evening.

We have been here several times in the past, but this time we were unfortunately very disappointed. The prices are now quite high for simple food, as are the prices for the beers. The selection of draft beers is also quite limited. The waitresses were very nice, but far too few staff for the large beer garden. Too bad😔

Years ago I enjoyed a lovely afternoon watching a German national team game during a European Championship or World Cup with friends. Best memories. Last year I was there for Christmas dinner with the employees of our location. There was also mostly good to very good feedback. Last week I was out and about in Oberursel again, my friend was pretty hungry, which is why I suggested the brewery, contrary to our original plans. No sooner said than done, taken a seat, ignored. We didn't sit far away, very close to the food and drink counter. Side tables that came later were taken care of beforehand. Waving didn't help, it was like we were ghosts for the 15 minutes we were there. The staff milled around but looked through us until we left. It's a shame actually...

This is a beer garden where you can fully feel the atmosphere of Germany. Weichenbier and Jaeger Schnitzel are highly recommended. It’s not salty and it’s so delicious~~

Fast and very friendly service. Food very tasty. I had the roast pork, it was very tender and had a great sauce.

Today we stopped by the beer garden as a family. The menu was more Bavarian than Hessian, but there was something for everyone. Daily specials and a daily changing evening meal including a beer at a more than fair price were also available from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Even though we didn't make use of it, the fact that the little eaters could theoretically get dumplings with sauce very cheaply or even free of charge makes the inn operators very likeable. Something different than the usual nuggets, pasta with tomato sauce or fish fingers... The portion sizes of the "dishes for small appetites" (for us "Grandma Lustig") are pleasantly large, the normal dishes, at least in our case the roast pork with two slices and two small dumplings with some coleslaw, are a bit small for a brewery in our opinion advised. Here, however, an additional portion was served immediately and without any problems. In terms of taste, everything was consistently good to very good, the service was on point and we didn't have to wait long for our food. The Kaiserschmarrn at the end was excellent and we have fond memories of the Alt-Oberurseler Brauhaus and we would like to thank the team for their great hospitality.

As always: the drinks and food came very quickly. Delicious beer with matching hearty food. The whole knuckle is my favorite. Update 2024: The food is still good, just the prices have been raised significantly, like everywhere else.

Wir waren jetzt schon länger nicht mehr im Oberurseler Brauhaus. Beim letzten Besuch war das Essen ganz ok. Dieses Mal leider eher enttäuschend. Wir hatten zur Vorspeise einen Handkäse modern mit drei verschiedenen Zwiebeln. Der war ganz ok, es hat aber ein wenig Säure und Pfiff gefehlt. Als Hauptgerichte haben wir eine Wurstsalat, einen Beilagensalat und Semmelknödel mit Pfifferlingen gewählt. Die Semmelknödel waren „vom Stück“ und sehr sparsam gewürzt. Die Pfifferlinge ganz lecker. Warum man aber auf das ganze Gericht dieses süße Balsamico Zeug drauf kippen muss, verstehe ich nicht. Der Wurstsalat war einfach nur sauer. Paprika aus dem Glas gehört für uns nicht in einen Wurstsalat. Das Dressing war eher die Einmachsauce der Paprika. Die Bratkartoffeln waren diesmal lecker. Der Beilagensalat ging. Das Bier ist immer lecker, das können die wirklich. Die Bedienung war durchweg nett und aufmerksam. Preise: wir hatten über die Stammkundenkarte das zweite günstigere Gericht kostenlos. Damit ging der Preis dann schon und war für uns in Ordnung. Echt schade, dass die Qualität der Speisen so nachlässt.

The staff is very friendly, and the seasonal brewery beers are certainly the attraction. For example, Orschler Bierbrett 4x0.1 beers, but not always available seasonally. Otherwise typical brewery dishes. From schnitzel to game goulash to knuckle. Seats a little crowded. Overall price/performance okay. Think really cheap and good food is simply no longer available due to the cost, it is all the more important that the quality is right.

Bier ist gut, ansonsten lange gewartet bis mal das Essen aufgenommen wurde. Essen überteuert und nichts besonderes. Die Bratkartoffeln waren gut, Schnitzel trocken und zu klein für den Preis. Salat geschmacklich ok aber nichts besonderes. Alles zusammen dtimmt Preis Leistung nicht! Das nächste mal nur Bier und Brezel..

Outside you sit at beer tent sets that are placed close together despite the size of the inner courtyard. I assume this is because most of it is occupied during peak times. At 2 p.m., when we were there, maybe 10 percent. Nevertheless, after 15 minutes of waiting, there was still no one willing to accept our drink request. We also wanted to eat but above all we were thirsty. I assumed that the order had to be placed at the bar/food counter outside. I went there and was only noticed after repeated shouts. In an almost grumpy manner I was told that someone would be coming soon. However, my question as to whether the order had to be placed here was not answered. After another 10 minutes of waiting we left again. I can't judge the food, but what was served looked like mass-produced food, kept warm on plates. The drinks and food are overpriced in my opinion. The home-brewed beer is probably delicious.

As long-time regulars at the Brauhaus Oberursel, we have always been satisfied with the service and the food on offer. But our last visit disappointed us. We visit the brewery regularly and receive vouchers as a thank you, which we really appreciate. On our last visit, we wanted to redeem these vouchers as usual. We were there with a couple we were friends with, also regulars, and both couples each had a voucher. Our intention was to pay separately and use the vouchers for each of our bills. Unfortunately, the service refused us this on the grounds that only one voucher could be redeemed per table because we were considered one group. This may be an internal regulation, but nothing about it is noted on the vouchers. It seems incomprehensible to us why two couples who want to pay separately and are both regular guests are not allowed to use their vouchers. This experience really spoiled our visit and left us disappointed. We hope that Brauhaus Oberursel will deal with such rules more transparently in the future and clearly communicate what restrictions exist when redeeming vouchers.

The food was cold, the schnitzel and potatoes looked like frozen goods and the portions were far too small for the price

We were here again as two couples (regular guests) and wanted to pay separately. Unfortunately, we were told that we were not allowed to redeem one voucher each. The reason for this was: it is billed per table?! But this is not noted on the voucher! This greatly marred our experience. The service was otherwise fine, but the voucher arrangement was very disappointing and inflexible. Therefore we can only give 2 stars.

Good home cooking with changing seasonal offers. The grill knuckle is highly recommended. In summer you can sit and eat in the beer garden under the chestnut trees. The Brennbar is attached to the brewery and offers live music on Thursdays.

I've been going here for 10 years, and the atmosphere is great, but everything else isn't as good as it used to be. After Corona, the quantity has been greatly reduced and the price has become very expensive. Before, I could never eat a whole schnitzel by myself and the meat was very soft, but now there isn't enough of it so I feel empty... It used to be served as a salad, but now that has been removed and the meat has become tough. For your information, I am a short woman who can never eat a whole bowl of rice. The picture posted is not a children's menu. It's for adults, but I ordered a smaller amount and it came out like this. The price is 11.80 euros haha. Please don’t order pork cutlet here. The amount is really too much… . Even if I ordered a regular pork cutlet, the portion size was small, so I went to a cafe for dessert after dinner. I've been there 4 times since Corona, but I'm so disappointed with the schnitzel every time I go, so I don't go there anymore. The prices are more than 10% more expensive than other restaurants, including beer. Definitely only eat Haksen here. Still, the reason I gave it two stars is because the beer is delicious.
