Completely ignored by the staff, waiters walk past to sit and chat with other customers instead of taking an order. I have never had worse service in my lifetime. You can't judge the quality of the beer if you're not being served. And that on Friday evening.

We have been here several times in the past, but this time we were unfortunately very disappointed. The prices are now quite high for simple food, as are the prices for the beers. Very tasty and nice beer garden

Years ago I enjoyed a lovely afternoon watching a German national team game during a European Championship or World Cup with friends. Best memories. Last year I was there for Christmas dinner with the employees of our location. There was also mostly good to very good feedback. Last week I was out and about in Oberursel again, my friend was pretty hungry, which is why I suggested the brewery, contrary to our original plans. No sooner said than done, taken a seat, ignored. We didn't sit far away, very close to the food and drink counter. Side tables that came later were taken care of beforehand. Waving didn't help, it was like we were ghosts for the 15 minutes we were there. The staff milled around but looked through us until we left. It's a shame actually...

This is a beer garden where you can fully feel the atmosphere of Germany. Weichenbier and Jaeger Schnitzel are highly recommended. It’s not salty and it’s so delicious~~

Today we stopped by the beer garden as a family. The menu was more Bavarian than Hessian, but there was something for everyone. Daily specials and a daily changing evening meal including a beer at a more than fair price were also available from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Even though we didn't make use of it, the fact that the little eaters could theoretically get dumplings with sauce very cheaply or even free of charge makes the inn operators very likeable. Something different than the usual nuggets, pasta with tomato sauce or fish fingers... The portion sizes of the "dishes for small appetites" (for us "Grandma Lustig") are pleasantly large, the normal dishes, at least in our case the roast pork with two slices and two small dumplings with some coleslaw, are a bit small for a brewery in our opinion advised. Here, however, an additional portion was served immediately and without any problems. In terms of taste, everything was consistently good to very good, the service was on point and we didn't have to wait long for our food. The Kaiserschmarrn at the end was excellent and we have fond memories of the Alt-Oberurseler Brauhaus and we would like to thank the team for their great hospitality.

The staff is very friendly, and the seasonal brewery beers are certainly the attraction. For example, Orschler Bierbrett 4x0.1 beers, but not always available seasonally. Otherwise typical brewery dishes. From schnitzel to game goulash to knuckle. Seats a little crowded. Overall price/performance okay. Think really cheap and good food is simply no longer available due to the cost, it is all the more important that the quality is right.

As a resident, I can say there is a great beer garden right outside the door. With delicious food and great service, a place to have a great time. The roast pork even has a friendly face.

Bier ist gut, ansonsten lange gewartet bis mal das Essen aufgenommen wurde. Essen überteuert und nichts besonderes. Die Bratkartoffeln waren gut, Schnitzel trocken und zu klein für den Preis. Salat geschmacklich ok aber nichts besonderes. Alles zusammen dtimmt Preis Leistung nicht! Das nächste mal nur Bier und Brezel..

Outside you sit at beer tent sets that are placed close together despite the size of the inner courtyard. I assume this is because most of it is occupied during peak times. At 2 p.m., when we were there, maybe 10 percent. Nevertheless, after 15 minutes of waiting, there was still no one willing to accept our drink request. We also wanted to eat but above all we were thirsty. I assumed that the order had to be placed at the bar/food counter outside. I went there and was only noticed after repeated shouts. In an almost grumpy manner I was told that someone would be coming soon. However, my question as to whether the order had to be placed here was not answered. After another 10 minutes of waiting we left again. I can't judge the food, but what was served looked like mass-produced food, kept warm on plates. The drinks and food are overpriced in my opinion. The home-brewed beer is probably delicious.

Very tasty home-brewed beer, two to choose from, a light and a wheat beer. Small menu, the knuckle is awesome. I can't recommend schnitzel, two small schnitzels come at a high price and the meat is not very tender. Staff top, friendly, fast, attentive. Large beer garden in the middle of Oberursel.

We were here again as two couples (regular guests) and wanted to pay separately. Unfortunately, we were told that we were not allowed to redeem one voucher each. The reason for this was: it is billed per table?! But this is not noted on the voucher! This greatly marred our experience. The service was otherwise fine, but the voucher arrangement was very disappointing and inflexible. Therefore we can only give 2 stars.

As long-time regulars at the Brauhaus Oberursel, we have always been satisfied with the service and the food on offer. But our last visit disappointed us. We visit the brewery regularly and receive vouchers as a thank you, which we really appreciate. On our last visit, we wanted to redeem these vouchers as usual. We were there with a couple we were friends with, also regulars, and both couples each had a voucher. Our intention was to pay separately and use the vouchers for each of our bills. Unfortunately, the service refused us this on the grounds that only one voucher could be redeemed per table because we were considered one group. This may be an internal regulation, but nothing about it is noted on the vouchers. It seems incomprehensible to us why two couples who want to pay separately and are both regular guests are not allowed to use their vouchers. This experience really spoiled our visit and left us disappointed. We hope that Brauhaus Oberursel will deal with such rules more transparently in the future and clearly communicate what restrictions exist when redeeming vouchers.

Good home cooking with changing seasonal offers. The grill knuckle is highly recommended. In summer you can sit and eat in the beer garden under the chestnut trees. The Brennbar is attached to the brewery and offers live music on Thursdays.

I have rarely eaten such a good knuckle. Atmosphere also speaks for itself, really good. Service is always professional until late in the evening! 100% recommended!

I've been going here for 10 years, and the atmosphere is great, but everything else isn't as good as it used to be. After Corona, the quantity has been greatly reduced and the price has become very expensive. Before, I could never eat a whole schnitzel by myself and the meat was very soft, but now there isn't enough of it so I feel empty... It used to be served as a salad, but now that has been removed and the meat has become tough. For your information, I am a short woman who can never eat a whole bowl of rice. The picture posted is not a children's menu. It's for adults, but I ordered a smaller amount and it came out like this. The price is 11.80 euros haha. Please don’t order pork cutlet here. The amount is really too much… . Even if I ordered a regular pork cutlet, the portion size was small, so I went to a cafe for dessert after dinner. I've been there 4 times since Corona, but I'm so disappointed with the schnitzel every time I go, so I don't go there anymore. The prices are more than 10% more expensive than other restaurants, including beer. Definitely only eat Haksen here. Still, the reason I gave it two stars is because the beer is delicious.

The food was delicious, but the price-performance ratio was absolutely not good. The portion size doesn't match the price, and you can't say anything about the quality. The atmosphere was rustic, cozy and overall harmonious, as befits a brewery. Unfortunately, the service was very slow, although there were enough tables available and the occupancy was therefore not very high.

I was there on Saturday, June 22nd. in the Alt-Oberurseler Brauhaus. I booked a table for 7 people using the reservation tool. The reservation was problem-free and was confirmed quickly. On site, the waiter knew straight away and gave me my name and reservation number. We had the free choice between indoor and outdoor areas. The waitress who served us was very attentive and friendly. The waiter who replaced her a few hours later was also very friendly! The food (2 salad plates, one with goat cheese and one with chicken, as well as a schnitzel) were very tasty and were served quickly. The payment could be easily divided and paid by card. All in all a very successful evening. Thank you!

Wir waren schon länger nicht mehr hier und mir fällt eine Bewertung etwas schwer weil es viel Licht und Schatten gibt. Das Essen war noch nie billig aber die Preise passen mittlerweile einfach nicht mehr zum angebotenen. Obazda mit Salat und Brezel für 13,40. Sorry aber mir fehlt die Fantasie dazu wie dieser Preis gerechtfertigt sein sollte. Salat, Obazda und Brezel waren jedoch sehr lecker. Die Haxe für 22,40 ist großartig. Das Hähnchenfleisch sieht auf dem Bild sehr trocken aus. War es aber nicht. Die Soße war frisch und die Pilze sehr lecker. Das Bier ist nach wie vor erstklassig und für den Frankfurter Raum nicht günstig aber noch angemessen (5,30 für einen halben Liter). Die Bedienung ist in zwei Gruppen aufgeteilt. Die eine Gruppe nimmt keine Bestellungen auf und kassiert auch nicht sondern darf nur auftischen und abräumen. Das führt dazu, dass man wenn man was bestellen will erst auf die richtige Person warten muss obwohl mehrere andere Kollegen vorbeilaufen. Irgendwie verstehe ich den Sinn dahinter nicht. Aus Kundensicht ergeben sich hier keine Vorteile und es ist verwirrend. Insgesamt würde ich sagen das Essen ist lecker aber Preislich doch am oberen Ende was man für die gelieferten Waren und Qualität verlangen kann (auch für den Frankfurt raum). Wenn einen der Preis nicht stört, dann ist das Brauhaus weiterhin empfehlenswert.

We were there for the opening game of the European Championship 2024 between Germany and Scotland. Great atmosphere, delicious food, excellent beer and friendly service with a good view of the screen.

Always a wonderful experience. Brought my brother who was visiting from South Africa, and he loved the traditional German food and atmosphere.

Everything fits together in the Urseler Brauhaus. Starting with the decor and the ambience, the delicious beer, the great food and the absolutely super nice and friendly service. We always enjoy coming to this place of perfect comfort.

Always delicious and never disappointed. Despite the relatively young average age, the staff is always absolutely courteous and always very friendly. Home-brewed is also recommended; it's best to try the beer test quartet. We are looking forward to the garden season because it is wonderfully beautiful in the garden restaurant.

After a strenuous bike ride, I decided to take a break in the beer garden of the Alt-Oberurseler Brauhaus. Since I was a bit sweaty, I sat down right at the entrance so as not to "bother" the other guests. Despite the presence of three waiters, one of whom was busy handing out food, I was either not seen or ignored by the other two. While I tried in vain to attract attention by waving, other guests who arrived later than me and were sitting closer to the serving table were promptly served. After five minutes of fruitless waiting and a terrace that was only 20% full, I finally gave up. When I pointed this out to one of the waitresses, she apologized and explained that she hadn't seen me, but that didn't change my disappointing experience. I then left the restaurant and will never enter it again. Such poor service is unacceptable.

The food and ambience were good but unfortunately the service was very bad. We called and reserved a table for two people. When we were there, a man without a reservation was preferred to us. The waitress came back shortly afterwards but said nothing and just chatted with her Colleagues paid no attention to us or the other guests who were waiting for their table and then left

We choose to dine inside. We had the place to ourselves. Atmosphere was very nice. Staff friendly and professional. Food was very good.

Quite okay... prices not exactly cheap for normal food. Very well attended and unfortunately very loud. Service is good, the food comes super quickly. Good if you just want to eat and get away... but a bit stressful for a cozy get-together.

If you want to experience tradition in Oberursel, you have to go to the Alt Oberurseler Brauhaus! The beer is excellent, nothing more needs to be said. You have to experience it, whether in the basement or the courtyard and especially now at the European Championships.

Delicious food, atypical economy

Classic German cuisine. Food is very tasty and so is the beer. At festivals, there is often live music and parties outside. So all in all highly recommended.

We eat there often and have always been satisfied. At the fountain festival, however, the retreat was really underground. Sausages lukewarm, slices of bread baked/dried, sausage salad drowned in watery dressing, roasted potatoes mushy and totally over salted. Conclusion...never eating there again when a larger event is taking place. We recommend just drinking the delicious beer. The real bright spot: the service staff are always very friendly and committed.

Oberursel Brauhaus The overall atmosphere was good, the bathroom was clean, and it was delicious without being overly spicy. It's a great place for people to gather together and eat.

Unfortunately the food quality is really not OK, solid turkey schnitzel like chewing gum, green sauce was very watery, asparagus soup was good, it could only have been hotter, service was friendly but not attentive, empty glasses, nobody asked if you wanted something

Relatively small portions and it tasted more like ready-made food from the wholesale market. The green sauce was quite thin and dressed with mayonnaise or something like that. Unfortunately there was only one type of beer, which was a bit small for a brewery. All in all we were disappointed.

Food was good, we were there for a celebration in the brewery cellar. A bit inflexible with small children, they aren't allowed to run around upstairs, which I understand. But not really in the brewery cellar either. But nothing is offered for children, e.g. crayons or similar. We had enough things with us, no question. But the family friendliness is not exactly high.
