La Piazza in Greifswald

Unfortunately, it was a completely lame and unpleasant evening. The wine selection was limited to a house wine that could only be enjoyed with ice, and the service was inattentive… Greifswald is wonderful, but this place is not!

Delicious food, super friendly, attentive service

I ordered gnocchi with scampi and was unfortunately very disappointed. The sauce tasted like a cheap, ready-made sauce, far too salty and lacking any particular freshness or refinement. It only came with three very small scampi – clearly too few for a dish with "scampi," and not satisfying. While the service was friendly and attentive, I didn't like the food at all. For me, the value for money isn't right.

The food was pretty good; my Italian relatives from Italy praised the pizza, but unfortunately, the service wasn't. The waiter forgot to order a dish. When asked, he blamed the kitchen. The forgotten dish was also very tasty. I would have liked to order a second beer and an espresso to finish, but unfortunately, we didn't get a chance. When the terrace is full, the team is at its limits.

We were there today; my feta salad and Cuatro Stagione pizza were absolutely delicious, prepared with the freshest ingredients. We're from Prenzlauer Berg, Berlin, and didn't expect much from Greifswald, so we were all the more pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. The service staff were very child-friendly and immediately accommodated our requests.

Waiters barely pay attention. It takes forever even though it's not busy. The food is substandard for Italians. No recommendations. And the waiters, or rather the women, aren't friendly either.

A pizzeria just the way we like them. The pizzas are excellent and large, and the pasta is typically Italian, creamy and varied. The perfect place to have a good time.

Lack of hygiene in the beer! Thick residue was floating in the tap beer – according to the company, it was just "yeast," but it was clearly dirt from the tap. A clear hygiene violation, showing that the beer lines hadn't been cleaned in a long time. Very disappointing and unappetizing.

I went there, sat down, and had to wait 20 minutes for the menu. Ordering was quick afterward, but I had to wait more than an hour for my food. The staff only answered questions like "When will the food arrive?" with curt words or phrases like "right away," "won't be long now," or "right away." As you can imagine, the "right away" came about 15 minutes later. The food wasn't particularly tasty, and the drinks were gone before the food even arrived on the table. If you don't have two hours to spare or don't want to wait that long, I wouldn't recommend it. I would recommend removing 2-3 rows of tables outside.

It was pretty much the only restaurant in the area still open and serving food at 9:30 p.m. on a Friday night. That definitely deserves a plus star. It's unheard of for a city like Greifswald. We tried the pizza. Honestly... my homemade pizza from the oven is way better. If there's any need for training here, please let me know 😉 The ambiance with white and red checkered tablecloths, like those you see in 50s and 60s movies, should have been a hint to me of what was to come.

We stopped here with family to treat ourselves to a pizza meal. It was fantastic! Pizza dough was nice and thin in the middle with a great crust around, as it should be. And it was so yummy, especially the one with the chesse in the middle. If I would live in the area, I would come here more often.

A very nice Italian restaurant. We were here for the first time today and were absolutely thrilled. Very rustic, cozy atmosphere. Unfortunately, it can be a bit noisy with larger groups. Restrooms are clean and easily accessible. The staff are also very friendly, accommodating, and accommodating to special requests. The food was super delicious, hot, and arrived relatively quickly, and at a great price-performance ratio. We highly recommend the pizza and the chicken dishes. The only downside is the dessert. The apple strudel is very tasty and nice and warm, just as it should be, but the ice cream that came with it was super-small; I've honestly never seen anything like it. And the cream was unsweetened and tasted of nothing. So the dessert was really below average for its price. However, the staff responds openly and competently to criticism. Overall, we are very satisfied with the restaurant. We will definitely come back and enjoy a flavorful main course.

When we're in Greifswald, we often visit this restaurant. The food is delicious and the location is great. Especially in the summer when you can sit outside. Today it was very busy, but the food still arrived very quickly. The service was prompt and friendly. We're always happy to come back!

The restaurant was very full, we got the last free table and everything went quickly, the dishes came to the table quickly and deliciously. We felt comfortable here and were well fed and warm as we continued through Greifswald

Absolutely recommended, all of our dishes are delicious, authentic and most importantly, they are fun and you go home in a good mood.

The furnishings are a bit stuck in the 90s, and the Best-of Eros Ramazzotti CD plays discreetly in the background. Nevertheless, the atmosphere is somehow nice, and the location on the market square is of course unsurpassed. My pasta was delicious, I had the rigattoni arrabiata, which was delivered quickly. Unfortunately a bucket of salt fell into the dough of the obligatory side dish bread basket, but I didn't think that was a big deal. Fair price for good food and fast service. Italian is almost always delicious :-)

Sit comfortably, chat relaxed over an Aperol, have a lovely evening. The food was outstanding! The pasta is fresh and aldente, the meat is tender. All very tasty. Good portions for good prices. And the service was quick, friendly, just great! That's where you notice the experience and ability. Just a professional. This was by far the best and most pleasant restaurant visit in Greifswald for some time. Even the bill was ok. I will definitely recommend La Piazza!

So far, the lasagne is probably technically the closest to the original recipe. Bolognese sauce has a good meat content, but also tastes good with vegetables, bechamel layer in the middle, grated cheese on top. Tastes very good and fills you up. Dessert was apple strudel with vanilla ice cream, some strawberry sauce and hot chocolate. Vanilla ice cream is great, just like the apple strudel. The hot chocolate was creamy and just the right amount of sweet! Toilets were clean.

Leider sehr enttäuschend. Ich hatte Pasta mit Lachs - leider sehr fade, sehr schwach gewürzt . Mein Freund hatte die Lasagne welche in der Mitte noch komplett kalt war und auch eher nach Fertigware geschmeckt hat. Aperol leider auch recht hell. Wir werden nicht wieder hier essen gehen.

What can you say? They were truly the worst pizzas we have ever eaten in a public space. Neither the dough nor the topping could be described as professional in any way. Maybe the P.Bäcker was out or something. In any case, we were happy that we were just passing through and hopefully had to eat something like that again.

Price performance fits. Central location. Big portions.

Our savior in times of need! After we were not served at another restaurant on Friday despite ordering 11 people, we looked for an alternative restaurant at 9 p.m. We managed to do this at La Piazza, where we were received and served in an extremely friendly manner. Food and drinks were served quickly and were very tasty. Dear La Piazza team, thank you again and we can only recommend you!!

After eating here several times, we were very disappointed today. We went out for a quick pizza and it took 1.5 hours because we sat for ages. Our starter and extras on the pizza were simply forgotten! It took a lot of time before we could pay. Service looks different!

We've been here for dinner quite often. There are always special dishes on the daily menu - I had pizza fig gogonzola - it was very tasty and a good idea 😋 The service is fast, but a smile would be nice, the facial expression is always petrified 😀 But we'd love to come back.

1. Tables and chairs wobble and are broken 2. No coasters available 3. Portions that are far too small for too much money 4. Pizza very soft whether it was baked through is questionable. Had severe diarrhea the next day 5. 2 portions with pasta cream sauce corresponded to 1 portion 6. Until the service comes to pay, expect a minimum of 30 minutes 7. The bread is hard and the inner core is almost not cooked through

The pasta dish (spaghetti carbonara) was very mediocre, pasta extremely soft, pizza with manageable toppings. The ambience inside is simple, the sanitary facilities are scary (open electrical cables?!)

We were there in the evening and wanted to have a nice evening. The Aperol was very thin, with a lemon slice instead of an orange slice. We had bruschetta as a starter, the bread was, I think, from the day before so hard and totally salty. Then I had beef carpaccio. The 3 slices were covered with a huge mountain of champions and arugula. There was no sign of the beef slices, if I wanted a salad I would have ordered one. So no one will see us again, really bad. It's enough of a rip-off for tourists.

There were four of us eating. 1 x Carbonara, 1 x Bolognese, 1 tuna pizza, 1 x salad. Pizza was very good. Bolognese was good. Carbonara was ok, but lacked a bit of flavor. Salad was bad, there were stewed vegetables on it that weren't on the menu - you know why you do that. Ruccola had individual leaves that were no longer good. The bread that was brought in advance was very manageable, but completely inedible because it was not fully baked. The large basket was optically questionable (photo). But the highlight was that the two pasta dishes came first, and only ~2 Minutes later the pizza and salad. So it's a good idea to serve a table completely with food, especially since you can time pizza and salad very well, as can the pasta dishes. The service was very friendly and helpful. At the end, when she asked if everything was ok, she grumbled a bit when I explained to her that the bread wasn't fully baked (a bit moist/sticky) and was also dried out. No word of apology or anything - so there was no tip. Finally, I can't give any recommendations here.

Mir hat es sehr gefallen. Man bekam das Gefühl als wäre man in Italien. Zuerst einmal das Personal war sehr lieb zu uns und haben uns nicht gestresst beim essen. Auch das Essen hat mir gefallen. Wir hatten ein Salat und eine Pizza. Verschiedenes leckeres Gemüse. Dazu braucht man nicht mal ein Dressing. Also wir waren begeistert und hatten ein schön Abend in La Piazza mit einer gemütlichen Atmosphäre.

Food was good, only the pizza was a little too salty, nice view over the market, only napkins with texture to learn a little Italian are missing, otherwise really solid.

We ordered takeaway and were told it would take 15 minutes. We then had to wait 45 minutes, when we were there after 15 minutes no one knew when our food would be ready. We don't come here anymore. There was no apology, nothing, just a shrug. After an hour we left.

Incompetent and unfriendly to customers. They neither know the daily specials or standard pizzas by heart nor do they know the difference between vegan and vegetarian

The service staff is very unfriendly and completely incompetent. We asked for the menu and the woman at the counter initially rolled her eyes. When asked what the difference is between vegan, vegetarian and margarita, the woman said that there is none......and she thought that margarita is the same as vegetarian pizza. You could tell that she had absolutely no desire to serve customers. Then why do you work in the catering industry? (Woman with blue eyes and dark hair). I would never go here again.

We wanted to order pizzas to take away. The young waitress was super unfriendly and annoyed. They don't know the standard pizzas and couldn't give any information about what's in the pizzas and, for example, what the difference is between vegan and vegetarian. When asked, the waitress was extremely annoyed, sighed loudly and demonstratively briefly browsed through the menu to say that they didn't have that (the standard pizzas). We found them directly on the map. We had the feeling that the woman wanted to get rid of her because her mood was getting worse and worse. When asked whether the takeaway offer was still active, if she was so clueless, she said bluntly, of course, why not. But she didn't know what it said, etc. and didn't want to look.

Yogurt ice cream is simply overpriced

I only had a pizza, but it was SENSATIONAL! The last time I had such good pizza was at Vesuvius in Napoli. WOW, a little attention. BUT: dear service staff, please try a little harder and take care of your guests - unfortunately you get the feeling that you don't really enjoy the job. Asking every now and then how the food is or whether you would like something more to drink certainly doesn't harm sales or the interpersonal relationship. Maybe I had an unfavorable day or you were tired from the day...?

I order 3 scoops of ice cream 1stracciatella 1 chocolate 1 vanilla the employee gives me 1 scoop of stacciatella and a scoop of yoghurt I can't recommend any good service

The food in my company canteen is even better! How can an "Italian" manage to make a simple dish like spaghetti carbonara taste like nothing?! Lukewarm and just barely done... But €13.90 Never again!

All in all, pretty average for the high price range. The inside of the doors in the men's toilet are sprayed. The small details are not overlooked and the service is “Nordic” friendly. There's something else going on...

Delicious Italian cuisine with friendly service! We were there again - and will definitely come again on our next visit to the city...! Today there was tagliatelle with veal liver, funghi and cherry tomatoes from the daily menu - very, very tasty and recommended.

I ordered a pizza with mozzarella, peppers and chicken, plus an extra sheep's cheese. The pizza cost a total of €16 and what can I say you had to look for the toppings, unfortunately the chicken was completely unseasoned. Completely disappointed

Ich hätte mir das Geld lieber sparen können, die SalamiPizza hat wirklich überhaupt nicht geschmeckt. Ist das Geld nicht wert. Aber das Personal war nett und der Laden ist klein aber fein.

Frühes Abendessen … die Pizza war lecker - allerdings bekamen wir die Getränke aus schmutzigen Gläsern serviert. Tatsächlich ist die Atmosphäre im Restaurant sehr düster. Die Bedienung war uns gegenüber aber freundlich.

Zu viert 3 Pizzen und eine Lasagne inklusive Getränke ~60€ ist fair. Schnelle und freundliche Bedienung. Nix zu meckern.

Service super und freundlich. Essen Spagetti naja ging so... Spagetti waren sehr durch, also bereits gut vorgekocht und filetspitzen waren keine gute Qualität. Ich hatte sogar einen Knorpel würg dabei, Bruschetta für 6 Euro (wow 4 Weisbrotstüllchen?) waren auch nicht der geschmackliche Brüller, waren allerdings sehr schön optisch angerichtet.

Ein sehr schickes Restaurant, mein Sohn hatte die Salami Pizza welche ein absolutes Gedicht war meine Tochter Spaghetti Bolognese diese waren auch sehr sehr gut. Auf jeden Fall einen Besuch wert.

Preis/Leistung ist stimmig eher bezahlt man woanders wesentlich mehr. Ein Stern ⭐️ ziehe ich lediglich ab für nicht so tolles Besteck, Gläser, vlt ein paar Blümchen auf den Tischen, wären fürs Ambiente toll. Das ist aber Gemecker auf hohem Niveau 😉

Zuerst das negative, Bestellaufnahme für Getränke dauerte ca. 20 Minuten. Getränke an den Tisch gebracht 35 Minuten. Das essen war Mega lecker,(45 Minuten)aber der Service muss an sich arbeiten. Es gibt auch keine Rechnung, wird mit dem Handy zusammen gerechnet. Hatte es kurz durchgerechnet.. was soll ich sagen.. Bedienungen deuteten auch oft ihre Laune mit, finde ich persönlich nicht schlimm, habe aber viele Gäste wieder dadurch gehen sehen... Essen Top, Ambiente und Bedienung so LaLa...

Top! Wir sind nur zufällig anlässlich eines großen Regenschauers dort gelandet. Flottes Personal. Hat die Situation bei voller Tischbelegung souverän gemanaged. Lecker gegessen**** und sehr gutes Preisleistungsverhältnis. Sollte ich nochmal Greifswald besuchen komme ich wieder!
