Typical Italian restaurant, with great service and very tasty food

One of the best Italian restaurants in Düsseldorf, if not the best. We were there on a Saturday evening where the shop was very full and it was simply delicious. The friendly staff responded to all of our requests and served us extremely politely. It was our first visit but definitely not the last!! Always happy and thanks to the whole team.

We paid 90€ for a menu that would cost 20 at any restaurant. They take advantage of the tourist at the congress. 50€ for a bad bottle of wine and 90€ per person for a salad and a regular dish. Don’t go, or settle a right price in advance

A nice place with typical Italian food. Friendly staff with a great service attitude. Luca helped us and speaks like a thousand languages! :) His treatment was always friendly and he did his best to make us feel comfortable considering that I don't speak German. About the food: 4/5, the pizza we ordered was not exceptional in flavor (rich, yes, delicious, no) and the minestrone soup would not be a dish that I would order again. The atmosphere is pleasant, no one pressures you to order or to leave, but I do think it is important to have a reservation.

Nice and fast service. Eating there itself was okay. The fish wasn't very tasty. The appetizer plate didn't look appealing, but it was quite tasty. Personally, the truffle pizza didn't impress me in terms of aroma. Restaurant is expensive. I don't think the price-performance ratio is justified.

60 euros menu, for a 15 euros food worth it. They took advantage that there was the Medica exhibition. First and last time

Had delicious starters of everything. Ate here with 9 women and we received the food at the same time. Everyone was satisfied with her dish, lasagna, pasta and pizzas. Only one lady found the pasta aglio too spicy, too many peppers in it, so if you like spicy food, you could take this dish. The lasagna was also very tasty.

Great atmosphere, super delicious food - seasonal and classics. Pumpkin ravioli and also the pear gorgonzola pasta - a dream. And the bread with olive oil is simply great. Service is typically Italian, very attentive and friendly. We always enjoy being here

Simply great food, top service and, next to the street, an electric charging station for electric cars. Parking options are limited for normal cars.

Very tasty Italian dishes, everyone enjoyed it very much and also liked the decoration 👍. In the evening it is really crowded and you can only talk loudly. There is a large selection of different dishes and the wine list is also well stocked. The desserts are highly recommended, I really enjoyed the semifreddo.

The three of us were at La Luce Due today. All the dishes were what a very immodest guest would hope for, namely great. I had spaghetti all'amatriciana and it was out of this world. I think to get this dish equivalent you have to go to Italy. The herbs were fresh, the guanciale was aromatic and the tomatoes were just right. We came in our work clothes after setting up the furniture and were warmly greeted and rewarded for the hard work. Thank you very much!

Nach einer späten Anreise empfahl uns das Hotel dieses Restaurant. Wir kamen erst um 21.45, wurden freundlich empfangen, Getränke und Speisen kamen zügig, aber nicht zu schnell und waren ausnahmslos köstlich. Der Service war bis zum Schluss herausragend freundlich und aufmerksam, obwohl wir die letzten Gäste waren. Auch das Ambiente gefällt. Uneingeschränkte Empfehlung. Vielleicht schaffen wir es übermorgen noch mal.

The appetizer platter was fine. For the main course I had black rice with chicken and peas. Unfortunately, the taste wasn't really good, so I couldn't finish it. I don't know if it was intentional but the rice was very oily that it dripped off the spoon. But service was great.

Was an accidental discovery. We were actually looking for a charging station for our electric car. The restaurant is located 20 meters away from the same. Since we were hungry and charging to 100% took almost an hour, we went to La Luce Due. And we didn't regret it! Top service, top food! The price is a bit high but it's worth it.

I had a really great evening in La Luce Due, the waiters are very friendly and attentive, the appetizer portions are huge, and the pizza was also very tasty. I would definitely visit again! :)

I have spent a lot of time in Italy and had high hopes for this Italian restaurant which looked genuine with cheerful Italian staff. It glittered in the candle light with starched table cloths and shiny glasses, it was totally full on a Monday night! However, the portions were ENORMOUS (perhaps some people like that) and the food mediocre at best. The food was not up to the high price tags. The best part of my meal was a spring asparagus salad with tomatoes and Burrata. When the salad arrived I was disappointed to find the "burrata" was actually dry mozzarella (either that or very bad burrata). The asparagus slivers were fresh, though only stems, no asparagus tips. I ordered monkfish tagliatelle as my main course and the fish smelled fishy with a bouncy rubbery texture and the tagliatelle were mushy and over cooked. I could not eat it. My friend ordered the same and also did not like it. Our other friend ordered lasagna and said the portion could have fed two and was too salty. One of our party ordered a salad, the light option, and was presented with an ENORMOUS bowl of rather ordinary lettuce, nothing interesting or particularly Italian about it. We shared a bottle of Sicilian wine which was nice. Not good value for money.

I've been a guest at LA LUCE DUE about half a dozen times in the last two years and even after my visit yesterday, the ambivalent, ambivalent impression I got didn't manifest itself any more clearly. It starts with the location. No longer quite central, but still relatively close to the center, the demand for upscale Italian cuisine seems to clash with the visual impression of the "city highway". The busy and very loud street is the main reason why I would never take a seat outside the restaurant. As soon as you stop in, however, this no longer matters and a new, diffuse feeling sets in; that imprecise feeling that you're not really welcome. Some employees are very accommodating and polite. Other employees seem listless and not very service-friendly. I don't expect small talk or insincere pseudo-smiles, but having the main course "slammed" onto the table without comment and with an almost hostile look on my face really irritated me yesterday. The pizza is okay, but for me personally it's almost too crispy and tastes good, but not remarkable. The lasagna is extremely successful, has a fantastic consistency and caresses the palate exquisitely. You'll still have an appetizing aftertaste in your mouth for hours afterwards. Overall, the location struck me as repeatedly child-friendly and wheelchair accessible. The rooms are hygienic and comfortable, but it feels a little cramped.

The maxim “honesty wins” is a fundamental aspect of human coexistence. When we entered the establishment, we were greeted by the employees with a negative attitude, which was evident in their gaze. This suggested that we were not welcome. The greeting from the staff was extremely unfriendly. I pointed out to the employee that he had apparently never seen a human being. His answer, which I would like to quote here, was: "Whatever you want. Our answer: food, of course." I started to get rid of us after politely asking to replace the glass because it was broken even though we were well cared for. The end of the story is that I found this place to be inadequate. As a reporter, I wouldn't recommend this place.

Sehr leckeres Essen, es war sehr voll dennoch war der Service sehr freundlich und sehr professionell gerne wieder. Unsere Kellner Luca hat uns immer bei Laune gehalten.

Ich habe vor kurzem in diesem italienischen Restaurant gefeiert, und es war großartig. Zum Geburtstag meiner Freundin haben wir einen ausgezeichneten Abend verbracht. Unser Kellner Luca war besonders aufmerksam und freundlich, was den Abend noch angenehmer machte. Alles in allem war es eine wunderbare Erfahrung, die wir gerne weiterempfehlen.

A classic, authentic Italian restaurant with a great ambience and a great selection of food and a good wine list. Now our regular Italian. Special thanks to Luca, who reads everyone's wishes and always has great recommendations.

We visited this Italian restaurant based on the reviews on Google Maps and to be honest our expectations weren't particularly high. It looked like a typical, trendy Italian restaurant, of which there are many that are often overrated. The greeting was also pretty normal and the staff seemed a bit uninterested at first. But then, about ten minutes after we arrived, the mood noticeably changed. The waiters were really friendly and we were really impressed with the food, especially the pasta. The portions were generous and the taste was simply fantastic. Our favorites were the baby calamari and the lasagne, both highly recommended. The carbonara was particularly excellent. If you're not in a rush, enjoy a Negroni Spritz here too. If we were to eat carbonara again in Düsseldorf, it would definitely be here. I can really recommend the restaurant to everyone.

La Luce Due has a relaxed yet charming atmosphere. The staff are incredibly friendly and provide fantastic service. The food is good, although the pizza was a little ‘floppy’ in the middle for my taste! The truffle pasta, however, was creamy and full of flavour. Overall, it's a great place for a date or an evening out with the family.

I tried their calamari today (attracted by the smell coming from the tables outside) and they were absolutely delicious and perfectly cooked. The restaurant is run by Italians, so the cuisine is typical and all the staff are friendly and cordial. Personally I highly recommend the place, five stars deserved.

Nice, cozy restaurant. The staff is quick and very friendly, and the atmosphere is just very pleasant. The calamari was very tasty and the portion was large enough to split in half. The lasagna tastes excellent, the best I have ever eaten - truly incomparable and highly recommended. Unfortunately we couldn't try the dessert due to our time, but I think it tastes very good too. Very tasty dishes all around; It's worth eating here more often.

I was with my family last week. The restaurant is very nice and the atmosphere is familiar. We were with our little grandchild and our waiter Luca immediately found us a quiet corner and helped with the food. Everything was delicious, and the wine Luca recommended to us was excellent. We had a lot of fun.

Sind seit vielen Jahren "Stammkunden". Aktuell ist ein Preisniveau erreicht das zur Qualität der Speisen aus unserer Sicht nicht mehr passt. Preiserhöhung in den letzten 2,5 Jahren von mehr als 40% und die Qualität der Speisen deutlich schlechter als vor 2 Jahren....passt für uns nicht mehr. Sehr schade

I ordered truffle pasta to pick up and was actually always satisfied. Today the noodles were floating in a soup. It wasn't sauce but water, very sad for the price. Never again

Good, average Italian. The prices are a bit expensive, there are better pizzas in the area. The beef fillet steak is good, but here too I would rate the price as a bit too high.

Been there off and on over the last few years. Classic Italian, a bit upscale, but not on the level of the top shops in the city. Always relatively busy. Generous selection of dishes. Everything is solid to pretty good, but no dish has yet blown my socks off. But it's easy to go there, you know what you're getting here.

I ordered online (not via Lieferando but Google) and didn't receive a confirmation. Food didn't arrive after 35 minutes so I called and asked. After 60 minutes it arrived quickly. But the order was totally gone. Bag torn, sauce completely leaked out, so it was just pasta without sauce. You couldn't eat the bread anymore because it was all soggy. I called the restaurant to ask for an order confirmation; because I didn't receive an email. The man on the phone was totally unfriendly and didn't help me solve the problem. And just repeatedly I should clarify this with Lieferando. But I called because I didn't receive a confirmation. Very rude and impudent, he then simply hung up. Now I turned to Lieferando and they forwarded it to the restaraunt. Makes total sense 😂 a really sad service for the price.

I can only advise everyone not to go to this restaurant! The waiter was very unfriendly, we had to wait over an hour for our food, when we tried to point this out to the waiter, he reacted very unfriendly! There was apparently a misunderstanding, when we tried to address this we received a rude and very aggressive response. We left the restaurant without eating our food. Never again!

Unfortunately, the table we had reserved for 7 p.m. wasn't free until 7:15 p.m., we were left behind and unfortunately not served at the bar. Even later, the waiter wasn't very accommodating, almost annoyed with us. Our ordered bottle of water was brought to the table after 20 minutes and multiple requests. After ordering the food, there was no drink service without request. The food, for us in the form of pizza, was very good, and the price/performance ratio was also ok. Accordingly, the food was successful, but the service unfortunately leaves negative traces that unfortunately prevent a return visit from slipping into the front row.

I love this shop. Food great, Service top Ambience great. We like to visit you often and with pleasure. But especially the staff, always very, very polite and incredibly nice, they even greet you on the street when you're not in the store. I think that's very attentive and you feel like you're more than just a customer coming to eat. Keep it up ❤️❤️❤️

Super leckeres Essen, sehr angenehmer Service. Man wurde aufmerksam und schnell bedient, ohne das Gefühl zu haben, dass die Kellner dauerhaft vorbeischauen. Für mich eine typische Stimmung für ein italienisches Restaurant, etwas lebhafter, ohne dass es störte. Wir werden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen!

In my opinion, La Luce due is one of the best restaurants in Düsseldorf. It's rather inconspicuous in Flingern, but the moment you enter the restaurant and the door closes behind you, you're in Bella Italia. I've ordered almost everything on the menu and there's nothing that wouldn't get 5 stars. The staff, an absolutely charming Italian team. An absolute MUST if you want to eat good Italian food in Düsseldorf. Price/performance top top top. It only has one small flaw, it doesn't have its own parking spaces.

Super attentive service. My cousin had lost her baby's pacifier and a friendly employee had his wife bring a new one. So much for the service. The meal was thoroughly enjoyed by the whole family.
