Nicht nur, dass die Pizzen riesig sind, nein, sie schmecken auch genial. Ebenso der Salat. Man kann drinnen und draußen sitzen und das Leipziger Treiben beobachten. Personal ist hilfsbereit und freundlich. Wenn wieder Leipzig, gerne wieder das "La Grotta"

Wir kamen spät und unangemeldet, haben dennoch sofort einen kleinen Tisch auf der Terrasse bekommen. Sehr aufmerksames Personal und gute Beratung. Der gemischte Salatteller war nach einem vorangehenden üppigen Mittagessen eine gute Wahl für mich. Aber auch die Pizze und Pastagerichte sahen sehr gut aus. Nur eine Warnung würde ich abgeben: Die Pizza ist riesig, eigentlich reicht sie für zwei normale Esser.

Really great restaurant. We went for dinner at 20:00 and the match started at 21:00. The friendly staff prioritized our order so that we could eat and get to the match. The food was delicious, the environment had its charm and I would like to come back here again. In one word, amazing 😍

The worst pizzeria ever encountered. The owner/manager refuses credit card payments and then denies that cash was paid. Arrogance bordering on fraud in front of eight people/professionals who all repeat that they have paid. The pizza is at the limit of decency as is the service. The only good thing is the beer. Avoid it at all costs. However, Leipzig is full of nice and more civilized places.

On my last visit to La Grotta I had the "Tagliatelle con Pecorino Tartufato". The taste was fine, the combination of Parma ham and truffle was solid, if not exceptional. The previous pizza was also quite okay. The staff was friendly and attentive, overall an average experience. You can definitely try the restaurant, but for me it wasn't outstanding.

Located in the city of Leipzig, the outdoor area is a bit cramped but still comfortable. What bothers me personally are drivers racing through the streets and showing off their high-priced cars. But whatever. Very friendly staff, fortunately we had reserved. There are 75 different pizzas to choose from 👍 we couldn't decide so quickly. Wine, water, appetizer platter, salad and 3 mega large pizzas 🍕 ended up being an Italian dessert and an espresso. 😋 Everything was very tasty and plentiful.

Because of the good reviews, we went to the restaurant in the early afternoon. We were treated very unfriendly right from the start (by the boss?). Command-like speeches telling us to leave our umbrellas and wet jackets right at the entrance, we were able to understand that even though it was very drafty, the door wasn't allowed to be closed and we weren't allowed to sit in the back area of ​​the restaurant, where it would have been more protected Especially because of the rude tone, we decided to leave the store again. I've never done anything like this before! But in this case it was definitely the right decision.

Good Italian restaurant with a very large selection of different pizzas. There is an outdoor seating area with great waiters. Pizzas start at €15 and are relatively expensive (usual city center prices). The pizza was very large, but could have had more toppings.

The waiter/owner was attentive and friendly. He also drew attention to all surcharges. The atmosphere was typically Italian. The seating outside was pretty tight. Unfortunately the gluten-free pizza was out. The gluten-free pasta took around half an hour to be on the table. The portions were quite large. The Bolognese sauce didn't convince me, it had little taste and a disgusting oil film on the palate. This can be done better. Price surcharge for gluten-free pizza/pasta over €5 is a bit high.

Located in the heart of Leipzig and definitely worth a visit if you're ever in the city. The pizzas are huge and delicious, there are delicious drinks and desserts. Service top and with charm. Unfortunately a bit tight when it's full.

We spontaneously went to this restaurant for dinner this evening. Unfortunately everything outside was full, so we were allowed to sit at a bar table, which is simply impractical for eating. After 5 minutes there were 2 tables free outside, when we asked if we could change tables, we were ignored and a reservation sign was put on it (the tables were still free in the end). When the pizzas were served, I pointed out that you can't cut properly at this table and we would like to have another table where we could eat properly. The waiter then took his HANDS and tore the pizza “apart” for me and said the wooden plates are not for cutting, we should eat with our hands. He finally gave the pizza back to cut and we were allowed to sit at a small table take a seat inside. In general the atmosphere was quite tense and it wasn't really pleasant to eat there. Despite everything, the pizza was delicious. However, we have never experienced so much UNFRIENDLINESS & ARROGANCE, the only one who was very nice was the pizza maker!

Guys, we were just there and unfortunately I have to say that the restaurant is completely overrated. Quality of the food - apart from pizza - rather below average. Inattentive service staff. The meals were served at a delayed time, some were forgotten and had to be complained about. And all of this at very high prices, which turned out to be very exorbitant.

Fantastic pizza; great atmosphere.

It is unfortunate that I have to express my experience at la Grotta in such negative words. The atmosphere, which was supposed to be welcoming, was marred by unprofessional and disrespectful treatment from the owner and staff. As guests, we witnessed inappropriate treatment of the employees by the owner, who bossed and criticized them in front of all the guests. This public humiliation was not only unpleasant, but also demonstrated a lack of respect and leadership skills. The service also left something to be desired, with a notably unfriendly attitude from the staff. Instead of treating us as valued guests, we were treated more like a burden to be borne. To make matters worse, the food was also disappointing. Half of the pizza we ordered was literally burnt, indicating a lack of attention in the kitchen. Overall, visiting la Grotta was a disappointing experience that left a bad taste in my mouth. I sincerely hope that management becomes aware of these issues and takes measures to ensure an appropriate and respectful atmosphere for all guests.

Yesterday we went to the completely overpriced La Grotta. Our unfortunately somewhat fussy son (6 years old) wanted some spaghetti with a little olive oil. A handful of pasta in oil cost us a whopping 9.90 euros. The pizzas were large, but a significant portion came to the table burnt. The rotating plates seemed practical at first, but they tilted so that eating with cutlery was unthinkable. We were constantly asked what else we should drink. 1 No was not enough. And dessert was tried to be sold in a clumsy way. We also noticed that there were arguments and a bad mood among the waiters... We weren't even asked if it tasted good or if everything was to our satisfaction. No thanks for the tip. Definitely not again!

Ate outside. Tables are so narrow that you barely have room to sit. The waiter asks what you want to drink before you even sit down. Tomato salad €8.90!!! One!!! Medium tomato with three slices of onions. Pizza very large. Dough crispy but without taste. Without salt or oregano. Tomato sauce on the pizza €2 extra garlic €2 pizza with different cheeses with no difference in taste.. Three pizzas and a tomato salad and three drinks €92 how can you justify that???

When you order, don’t forget “extra oil with garlic” to drizzle over the food 🤤 Just thinking about it makes me hungry! I ordered one small salad (the price is 7,90 Euro) and then added 4 grilled shrimps into the salad. The salad and shrimps tasted good. The price at the end is 17,90 Euro for my salad and shrimps. Each shrimp costs 2,5 Euro. I found this price for a shrimp too high. Be careful to ask in advance the price of the thing you want to add into your salad.

The pizzas were very tasty and very large, but for a surprisingly high price. Unfortunately the overall impression was extremely depressed by the boss or head waiter. He was very apologetic towards us as guests and you didn't feel like you were really welcome. Paying by card was a real burden for him and the requested form of invoice was not issued. Nevertheless, it was fun to watch the pizza bakers at work. Unfortunately, as a guest you also noticed the rather harsh manners of the restaurant. Maybe that's the general etiquette in these places, but as a guest I honestly don't want to hear anything about it.

The reception was cautiously friendly. The atmosphere is rustic, close and cozy. Thank God we had reservations. It was early in the evening and the place was still empty. The menu is extensive and the prices are awesome. The pizzas are huge, the dough is wafer-thin, and the taste is sometimes a bit bland and dry. The service was almost a pain in the beginning and in the end it was a matter of luck to get served. In my opinion, the price-performance ratio isn't right, but the store was packed.

I would like to thank the employees, the goods were very friendly and helpful and I enjoyed the Pizza 9.

Based on many positive reviews on Google, we had dinner at La Grotta with the family during a city trip to Leipzig. We all had a pizza - these are super tasty! Lots of choice, something for everyone. The pizzas are also very large, our children (age category 10-15) could not finish them (you were given leftovers if desired). The service is very friendly and service-oriented. If we were to go to Leipzig again, we would definitely go to La Grotta again!

Unfortunately a disappointment. The waiters are friendly until you have paid. There is no longer an answer to a friendly 'goodbye' from the guests. The pizzas are huge, the base is crispy and paper-thin. I like that in itself. But for a chilly oil (which is not an oil at all) an extra charge of 2 euros? Really now? For a Margherita pizza with mushrooms there is a surcharge of 4 euros. I understand that prices have become more expensive overall. But 4 euros for a handful of mushrooms? Hm. I don't know if sharing a pizza is allowed. The size is comfortable for two and allows for a salad or dessert. Since there are no 0.1 l wines (only 0.2 and more and for a price that I don't even know in Munich, unless I'm at a really good Italian restaurant) I ordered a rather bland white wine spritzer . I would have 'complained' early on if I felt the staff would be open to feedback. Wow. And in the end I was asked if I was satisfied. And I said no rather quietly. The waiter's reaction was: that's up to you. You could have ordered something else... You're just stupid. It's a shame, I was looking forward to a good Italian. I keep searching... But I got full 🙂 Ps: I can HIGHLY recommend the Pho Ha Noi two houses next to it. Friendly. Very good. Pleasant.
