We ate there with a group of 10 for an event. The staff welcomed us very warmly. Unfortunately, the extremely loud atmosphere made conversations difficult, especially since we actually had two people with hearing impairments in our row. When we asked if the music could be turned down a bit, another member of staff replied, annoyed, "That's just our thing, loud music."... OK... The food was OK, too bad the vegan cheese substitute costs extra. The drinks were quite good. Otherwise, everything was clean, and the selection of vegan alternatives was good, too.

The pizzas are incredibly delicious and large. Perfect for sharing, as you can choose two toppings. Very friendly and attentive staff. Thanks, Paula, for the service.

Today, three of us were there without a reservation. We got a table quickly, and ordering drinks was easy and smooth. The wine was good. Unfortunately, it was already chilly outside, and there was a draft at our table. The entrance door was only closed after we asked three times, having previously stood open the entire time. Two of the three pizzas arrived, but the third didn't. When the third finally arrived, it was cold, meaning it had simply been forgotten. In the end, we wanted to take some of the uneaten pizza with us, which we were offered, but unfortunately, it was also forgotten. In total, I had to get up three times to point out the open entrance door (October, drafty) and once to point out my cold pizza, which was a bit tense overall. On the other hand, the staff frequently asked us if "everything was okay," which it wasn't. Overall, there's a certain discrepancy between the rhetorical effort (4 stars) and the actual action (2 stars), but the employees there are certainly stressed, too, and I can understand that to some extent. The pizza is extremely large, but also thin, which is why it cools down quickly and quickly becomes too crispy if it's been in the oven a little too long. Personally, I don't think that's so good. The atmosphere itself is nice, though; everything is stylish.

We had reserved a table at 6:30 p.m., and we were supposed to pay and leave promptly shortly after 8:30 p.m. That's not a problem in principle, but we had to wait 45 minutes for our food and couldn't even enjoy our drinks and dessert in peace. "La Dolce Vita – but a little quieter, please!" We were at L'Osteria on Martin-Luther-Ring in Leipzig and were served by an exceptionally friendly waitress – high praise for that! 🍕🥂 The food was really good, the pizza so big it almost needed its own table. The place was packed – apparently, Italian flair here is synonymous with Italian volume. Between the conversations, the clattering of forks, and the music, I almost felt like I was at a street festival in Naples – except at least you're allowed to dance there. 💃 When we politely asked if they could turn the music down a bit, we received a charming reply: "The music is part of the concept." Oh well – the concept is the concept. It's just a shame that this concept apparently doesn't extend to the restroom, because there the music was suddenly discreet and pleasant. Nevertheless: A nice evening, good food, great service – with earplugs, it would have been almost perfect! 😉

Hey, It was my first time there, and it was fantastic. It was incredibly crowded, so I recommend everyone to reserve a table, otherwise it'll be crowded. There was a promotion at the time where you get a free soft drink if you say "Dolce Vita" before ordering. I think promotions like that are great. The pizza I had was huge and super delicious (BBQ chicken), highly recommended. A small criticism, but that's nitpicking. There can be a long wait for the food, but it's definitely worth it. We celebrated the end of our team event at L'Osteria Leipzig. It was a thoroughly successful evening. I'd especially like to highlight the service – if I could give more than 5 stars, I would. :-) The pizzas are so large they don't fit on the plate. Half is perfectly sufficient here... You've been warned :-) The food was excellent – ​​right down to the dessert (recommendation: pistachio tiramisu...) We'd be happy to come back anytime...

There were four of us there for my birthday. It started off with a table that was far too small in a corner. We asked the waiter for a bigger one, but he asked his colleague who was doing the check-in that day, and the waiter just rolled his eyes. Of course, we didn't get another table, even though there were so many large tables free. The music that day was also far too loud. We weren't allowed to light a tea light that was on the table, even though we asked and said there was a birthday child with us. The food was poorly presented. So there was no such thing as a feast for the eyes. The only good thing about the visit was the free dessert and the two free espressos. All in all, very disappointing, and on a birthday too.

Unfortunately, our experience at this restaurant was not a good one. It was last Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. My wife ordered pasta, and I ordered a pizza. The loud music annoyed us from the start, but we were hungry and tired. After an hour, we asked (friendly and politely) how long it would take for our food. The waitress told us the food would be right away and that there were only two, at most three, orders left before ours. These two or three orders then took another 35 minutes. My pizza was huge, but tasted average at best, and my wife's pasta was unfortunately not good at all, with burnt mushrooms and pasta swimming in grease. In any case, the mood was ruined. The waitresses were visibly stressed, but were always patient and friendly. In such cases, perhaps a small gesture of goodwill with a drink or coffee on the house, as an attempt at at least partial redress, would alleviate the frustration somewhat. For the remaining three days of our vacation in Leipzig, we went to another Italian restaurant nearby for dinner.

We spontaneously decided to have dinner here. And what can I say? It was simply fantastic! The ambiance was appealing and well-maintained, the quality of the food and drinks was excellent. We waited over an hour for our food. When my pasta arrived, it was cold and extremely hard. When we asked for a knife, we were given a dirty one. The bruschetta was very watery. All in all, not recommended. The highlight was the salad that was served at the end.

It's "just" a L'Osteria like any other, but it still deserves a mention. The ambiance...okay, you know it. Cozy, everything is nice and in good condition. The food: familiar as a L'Osteria goer. But the staff is top-notch! Despite the busyness and stress, everyone was smiling, in a good mood, and interested in the guests. This made it a fantastic visit. For example, a (blonde) employee gave us the chance to get a seat right at the entrance. Without a reservation and without much "oh dear" or "oh dear." Thanks again for that! Other places do much worse! With Leo as a server, we also had someone who, despite his rushing around, was in a good mood and thus provided excellent service. The L'Osteria Leipzig rounded off our vacation day and once again demonstrated that the concept works. Whether in Frankfurt, Offenbach, Heidelberg, other cities, or here in Leipzig: We enjoy being guests, and it once again showed why.

This Italian restaurant is a real insider tip! The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with warm lighting and charming decor that immediately conveys an Italian feeling. Unfortunately, we could hardly find anything with the exact price online. Only after intensive research did we find €19.50 (although it included coffee). That would have been a reasonable price. When we got there, there was a menu on our table that said €19.50 and €24.50. When we asked more closely, we were told that the new prices apply from this month and that no drinks are included. (The reservation reminder that came a few days ago could have pointed this out.) We thought that the quality and selection of the food would really have to make up for it. Unfortunately, the variety was a little sobering. We found something, but the variety of fruit and cold cuts wasn't outstanding. With the soups, there were two signs in front of one pot. And there was only one type the whole time. Even after asking the staff for clarification, there was never a response. The service staff (which was very generous) seemed overwhelmed. Even for a bottle of water, we had to wait forever. Sorry, but in conclusion, the value for money was not at all right. (And even more so after the price increase!)

What a shame! I pointed out my food allergy several times and even asked for the allergen order. It was repeated three times, and yet the "chef" still missed it and didn't read it correctly, so the allergen was served. After taking a bite, I noticed it and asked the waiter again. The waiter asked the kitchen again, and "oops!" They forgot and didn't read the order correctly. This shouldn't happen to people at risk of anaphylaxis, especially since it was addressed/communicated several times. Not recommended for people with allergies; not trustworthy. Especially since you had to wait 45 minutes for the food and then couldn't eat it.

There were five of us at the restaurant. I ordered the pumpkin risotto a la casa. Unfortunately, the risotto was still half-cooked, and most of the pumpkin pieces had hard skins, making it difficult to eat. That was disappointing. My friends' pizza and lasagna, on the other hand, were very tasty – it's a shame my dish wasn't as good.

If you like it loud, this is the right place. We were a birthday group of around 25 people spread across 4 tables put together... The most we could do was have a conversation with the person sitting next to us. We were unlucky that 3 tables away from us a "howler monkey" was trying to entertain the restaurant in his simple-minded way. The food was very good and the service friendly. But the volume was completely unacceptable, not just because of the uncouth guest, but also because the music was exhaustingly loud. When I asked about it, it was revealed that the music was deliberately turned up too high to counteract the noise from the guests. This is logic that doesn't make any sense. As a couple or as a family with children, you CANNOT go here. What a shame. The food is great, the management is a disaster. I can't recommend this restaurant and will avoid it in the future.

We had dinner here tonight and it was honestly a very disappointing experience. It took nearly 20 minutes before anyone came to take our order, and then another 40 minutes until the food finally arrived. When the pizza came out, a piece of it had already been removed, which was shocking to see. When we asked the waiter, he casually said that part of it was burnt and they just took it off — no apology, no professionalism. He even told us that if we wanted a new pizza, we’d need to wait another 40 minutes. The staff’s attitude felt careless and dismissive, and not once did anyone apologize for the situation. For such a popular restaurant chain, this was far below any reasonable standard. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this place at all.

So you'll definitely be full, because you won't find larger pizzas anywhere else. But the pasta is the insider tip.

Super delicious food at Sunday brunch! There's a cold section and a hot section. From lasagna to pasta, tarte flambée, pizza rolls, sandwiches with avocado and egg to tiramisu, cakes, cornflakes, cold cuts, rolls, and scrambled eggs, everything is there! The quality is truly fantastic and the staff are super attentive (especially given the stress). Unfortunately, we lost a star because it was simply not clear to us how much it cost. I couldn't see the price when making the online reservation. When I called the restaurant, I was told it was €25 per person. I found an integrated filter coffee flat rate online. However, the menu on site said: Mon.-Sun. Italian brunch for €19.50. However, at a few tables, it was clear that it cost €24.50, without any drinks. A small cup of filter coffee is added for an additional €1.95. A freshly squeezed orange juice costs €4.50. I wish the website would list the full price-performance ratio (I hope I wasn't too stupid to research it) and update the menus (Mon-Sun for €19.50). One idea I'd recommend might be a carafe of tap water and glasses.

The drinks took forever to come and were way too sweet. Apparently laced with some kind of syrup. The wonderful waitress, Denise, saved the day for us. She was super funny, made sure we got new food, and generally provided a few laughs. Luckily, that saved the evening. That's service!
