L'Osteria Leipzig in Leipzig

We were surprised by the portion size; unfortunately, the main course wasn't filling. According to my friends, the pasta dishes were very tasty, but my risotto was quite bland and not as thick as risotto should be. Unfortunately, it wasn't topped with Parmesan cheese, as it should be. The atmosphere was quite pleasant as always, albeit a bit noisy, but that's due to the size and the occupancy. Otherwise, we treated ourselves to dessert, which was okay. The mango ice cream and chocolate soufflé were amazing, the spaghetti ice cream was so-so, but the restaurant management here is very fussy :) We'll definitely be back and are already looking forward to the new location, hopefully opening in May at the Höfe. Happy to recommend it, even though you're a chain.

Unfortunately, I have to change my 5-star review. We arrived yesterday at around 5 p.m. without a reservation. The lady at the reception desk greeted us, sat us down at the table, and then everything was basically as usual. After our meal, a waitress came and asked if we wanted another drink. So far, all good. And after our second drink, another waitress came and said she needed our table in 15 minutes and asked how we wanted to pay. What a disgrace. We were neither offered another table, nor were we informed at the beginning or when ordering the second drink that our table might be reserved for someone else. In any case, we had to leave after paying. And that was around 6:40 p.m. Thank you for this wonderful experience in your establishment. We won't be coming back.

We had a reservation. It was a Saturday night, and there were quite a few people. The staff was friendly, but seemed rushed. The pizza was delicious, as were the filled pasta parcels; only the spaghetti carbonara was a bit dry. Overall, a lovely evening for us.

We were once again in the mood for delicious and, above all, large Italian pizzas and there is only one real place for that in Leipzig, L'Osteria on Martin-Luther-Ring in Leipzig. Of course we reserved a table because we know how busy this location is! Unfortunately, what we experienced this time completely spoiled our visit... We were greeted and escorted to our table with the words: “This is your table, you have it for exactly 100 minutes!” That's a very bad start to a cozy evening... The restaurant was packed and we had the feeling that the louder the guests talked, the louder the music played. You had the feeling of sitting in a huge cafeteria and not in an osteria. The waitress came quickly and took our order. After the drinks and pizzas were at the table, we unfortunately didn't see them again until the plates were empty... No questions asked whether you would like anything else or whether everything is satisfactory. Unfortunately, the size of the pizzas also has a disadvantage: they cool down very quickly and due to the large rush, the food sometimes waits for some time until it is picked up by the service from the open kitchen. For us, this has always resulted in the pizza being cold towards the end and thus losing the taste... Maybe you should consider whether you can somehow keep the pizzas warm at the table. Unfortunately for us it was the last visit there for a long time, as the overall impression was no longer convincing... Maybe things will get better once the new branch opens in Leipzig.

Unfortunately, after 100 minutes we were asked to leave because the table had been reassigned, so we were denied dessert. Since we had to wait half an hour before we could even order, it was very annoying. The food itself was delicious, the drinks came later than the starter. Unfortunately, the ambience was disturbed by the music being way too loud and it was difficult to have a conversation. The staff seemed overwhelmed.

Rude, Disrespectful and frustrating a disappointing experience at L’Osteria My visit to L’Osteria was a complete disappointment. An hour beforehand, I called the number listed on Google Maps to reserve a table for two at 7:15 p.m. But when we arrived, the gentleman who greeted the guests with “Hello” (LOL) made us wait 15 minutes despite having a reservation. When it was finally our turn, he couldn't find our reservation. When I explained that I had made a reservation over the phone, he responded with a mocking laugh and claimed that they only accept online reservations. When I tried to show him that I had actually called, he became rude and indirectly implied that I was lying. Instead of looking for a solution, he treated us disrespectfully and ultimately just left us. This experience was extremely frustrating instead of hospitality there was only arrogance and contempt. I felt literally gaslighted and will definitely not be returning. Absolutely not recommended!

Despite my companion making a phone reservation to the Google provided number an hour before, and receiving confirmation, we were forced to wait 15 minutes upon arrival. The host, who was dressing pink who greeted guests with “Servus”, claimed he couldn’t find our booking and laughed when we mentioned the phone reservation, insisting they only accepted online bookings. When my companion tried to show proof, he became rude, implied we were lying, and ultimately dismissed us without offering a solution. The entire experience felt disrespectful and frustrating, leaving us gaslighted and unwelcome. Hospitality like this is unacceptableI wouldn’t return or recommend it.

We were here on a weekday evening and had pizza. These were huge and really delicious. What really distracted us, however, was the loud background noise. On the one hand, the restaurant is very busy, which is of course nice, but on the other hand, the music (7-8.30 p.m.) is very loud and restless (pop/party music). This made it difficult for us to converse at a comfortable volume. Despite initially asking to adjust the volume of the music, they were unable to accommodate us because this is by design & it is probably even louder normally. At 8:30 p.m. they suddenly switched to lounge music. The time-based music selection is actually the store's concept, we were told. The lounge music was very pleasant, but we were already in a good mood. To be honest, sometimes after a day at work I (and in this case my companion too) just want to enjoy a good meal in a pleasant atmosphere and not feel like I'm at a summer party on Mallorca... Unfortunately, this music concept doesn't excite me at all, which disrupted the whole atmosphere. It's possible that I'm a little too sensitive for that, but I'll probably choose other restaurants in the future.

We were there 1 hour before our reservation (two of us) and were still able to get a table, which was nice. We were then offered a bottle of water until the correct order was taken, which never came. We had to order water 2 more times until we got this. Unfortunately, the music was really loud, which made conversations difficult. The waitresses were helpful and friendly, but overwhelmed and just running around. We had to wait a long time for the pizzas and they were completely cold. When asked, they were warmed up again. There were also errors at other tables, incorrect dishes were delivered, etc. I was able to convert a vegetarian pizza into a vegan pizza, which worked well.

An all-round successful evening! The food was incredibly tasty, a real taste experience from the starters to the dessert. The atmosphere in the Osteria is cozy and inviting, and the team's warmth ensures that you immediately feel at home. We will definitely come back – absolutely recommended!

Everything was perfect, from the reservation, the quality of the food and wine to paying. Unfortunately, the Latin American music was inappropriate and much too loud, entertainment was virtually impossible. Despite my request to play something different, ideally Italian music, nothing has changed in this situation.

We were with you as a group of girls. Great food Service great My conclusion. In terms of style and coziness it's definitely great, or it's great, but unfortunately you can't enjoy it at all. It's so crowded, the tables are so crowded and it's so loud that you can't really have a conversation. Unfortunately it gives the impression of eating and then leaving. Lots of places or not. I think one or two fewer tables would perhaps bring in a little more coziness and peace. I also find the given time window very difficult. It is not intended for lingering and you cannot book a larger time slot. If it is possible to book larger time slots, there would be no waiting time because the table is not yet free. We made reservations at 7:00 p.m. Our starter arrived at around 8:10 p.m. We waited an hour for our starter and you can have ours straight away Pizza And dessert is a must. And you have to leave again at 9 p.m. We didn't have to now. We spoke to the very friendly employee and said that it was not possible after this time slot. We had to leave at 9 p.m. We were able to sit until 10pm. She also apologized very kindly because such waiting times are not usual. The food was incredibly delicious, especially the chocolate cake was unbeatable. The service was very nice, despite the busy shop. I would love to go there again. Maybe it's more relaxed during the week

We made a reservation for 5:30 p.m. and had our table by 7 p.m. We sat for almost 1 hour until only the starter came, the table next to us came at 6pm and got their starter after 10 minutes. Our main course arrived at 6:55 p.m. and at exactly 7:00 p.m. the waiter came and asked us to leave. NOT WORKING AT ALL!!!!! THERE WERE JUST PROBLEMS BYE

We ordered today. Apart from the fact that the delivery time is generally a little longer than in other locations, it has been reported several times that the delivery is further delayed. No problem in itself if the food hadn't simply been cold upon arrival. In addition, there was a message from us that an ordered tiramisu should definitely be delivered without strawberries because there is a massive allergy and then you get the whole thing with strawberries, which means that the person in question could not eat this product. Both dishes' pasta was cold and had to be warmed up, and both pizzas were cold. The panna cotta was really tasty. Very sad and disappointed at the price paid.

The evening at L'Osteria Leipzig was a mistake for us. We had ordered the table for 7.45 p.m., were promptly escorted to the table and the order was taken. The food took a very long time, guests around us who had been seated after us (5 tables) received their food quite promptly, we waited. After a little over an hour the food arrived. The calzone dough wasn't fully baked on the inside, and the outside was so light that it seemed like it had been thrown together and baked in a hurry. Due to our complaint we were offered dessert, which didn't make us happy. Otherwise the place was extremely loud. The service stars are for the service, which was very friendly. All in all, I would go to another restaurant in the future. My experience yesterday was frightening.

Had reservations for 6 p.m got the information that we could stay until 7:30 p.m had time to eat. Unfortunately our pizza didn't arrive until 7 p.m p.m. and was lukewarm. Der Service war ausgezeichnet – sehr freundlich, aufmerksam und professionell. Die Pizzen sind ein absolutes Highlight! Sie sind riesig, perfekt belegt und einfach unglaublich lecker. Aber auch die Pasta und die anderen Gerichte auf der Karte sind wirklich zu empfehlen – frisch zubereitet und mit hochwertigen Zutaten. Ein weiteres Plus ist die Weinauswahl, die sehr gut auf die Speisen abgestimmt ist. Und das Beste: Die Portionen sind mehr als großzügig! Ich komme definitiv wieder und kann das Restaurant nur wärmstens empfehlen! Für alle, die italienische Küche lieben, ist L’Osteria ein absolutes Muss.

The restaurant L'Osteria is definitely worth a rest stop. Table reserved online the day before, everything went well even when we arrived at the restaurant. The ambience is very well coordinated with the theme “Pizzeria…”. Staff, service on foot, competent, careful and friendly. Food excellent. What was a small disappointment was the somewhat long waiting time for the main course, perhaps due to the extremely well-booked seats in the restaurant, which is positive. So we'll definitely be back.

The Losteria in Leipzig is worth a regular visit for me and my partner. Huge pizzas, great selection, delicious tiramisu. The staff accepts requests in a friendly manner and makes personal recommendations. An example is Michael, who we have known for years and always has a smile on his face.

The food was quite tasty and the service was friendly. The prices are a little above average for today's standards but still ok. However, the waiting time for the food is absolutely unsatisfactory at over an hour, even on a Saturday afternoon at three. I will probably go to other restaurants.

The staff and the food selection are always at a very high level. In times when mentally disturbed people walk around freely, no bread cutting knife should be left visible on the serving counter. And what I personally think would be very good if the music in the dining room wasn't so loud.

Food was ok (for the price). But what's annoying is the incredibly loud music. I literally had to yell at the person I was eating with. I learned that this is company policy so that people leave as quickly as possible and the table becomes free. That's not how you treat guests! It was probably the last time there for me.

Place outside the centre. Many tables close together which makes it noisy when the place is full. Friendly staff and fast, attentive customer service. A little cold place. Good food. Always present vegetarian and vegan options.

We were here for our daughter's birthday. Unfortunately it was extremely crowded, narrow and very loud. We couldn't use the assigned table because it was far too narrow and not possible for our dog (previously stated). The staff tried very hard and quickly found a solution. Unfortunately, a lot of things were out and we waited forever. The starters came after the main course. The service staff really did their best to make sure it was still a nice evening.

Very poor organization in dealing with reservations. The table was reserved for 5 people, but was not available at the agreed time. Instead, something was pointed out with a request for understanding. The other guests who are still sitting at the reserved table do not want to leave because they are still eating. In this case there is no structure and planning for a Saturday evening. After a 30 minute wait we were able to get a table. The ambience would definitely be very pleasant if the restaurant wasn't so crowded and loud. After taking the order, it took 1 hour until we had our food at the table, definitely too long for an Italian restaurant. Significantly understaffed and in the end when asked, the answer was poor. Unfortunately it wasn't a successful evening and definitely not recommended.
