La Gazetta in Köln

Being a regular customer of the hotel. With the change of management of the restaurant. Not recommended. The restaurant is half full. Impossible to eat. The so-called boss sends you away. Because we didn't book. We just have to go eat elsewhere. When we arrived in the morning at reception we were told that we did not need to make a reservation. There were 5 of us (2 adults and 3 children)

The burger was really good: caramelized onions, brioche, crispy bacon. The patty just right. Ambience relaxed, casual. One star deducted because of the service. The waiter asked my companion if he wanted another beer, but I didn't. Every time. The same thing several times in the evening. No shouting was heard. It was paid separately. When paying, guest 1 was asked, but guests 2 and 3 were not asked whether everything was ok.

We arrived without a reservation. Despite the full house, a table was still managed for us. There were three of us in total. The food was just amazing (be careful, addictive). The staff was very friendly, competent and funny. The music selection was also something different. Keep it up.

We were served by a very committed and courteous young gentleman - the food was also excellent. Prices are absolutely appropriate for the level. Happy to come back next time you visit Cologne!

This burger is not like the usual that you would order from a chain or common restaurant. Good service and great staff.

Service sehr freundlich und aufmerksam Der Burger war leider nicht so gut - das Pattie war trocken und nicht frisch gemacht Dafür hat der Nachtisch es wieder raus gerissen - das Panacotta und das selbstgemachte Erdbeer Sauerrahm Eis war seeehr lecker

Hier war ich nur zwei Mal zum Business Lunch, dass nun eingestellt wurde. Schade, es war sehr nett! Aber die wenigen Besucher, die ich dort sah machen die Entscheidung verständlich.

Wonderful Three Course Dinner The Noble (not 100% agreed) Italian La Gazetta is located at the Lindner Hotel Dom Residence within walking distance to the Cologne Cathedral n Main Train Station. An easy telephone reservation, a warm greeting from both the Hotel Staff and Restaurants, a simple but cozy (n spacey) furnished Restaurant & Bar with professionals Service and last but not least the wide range offer for great n tasty Dishes and Drinks. Why do I dare to praise La Gazetta this high? From time to time we use the Groupon Voucher (mainly for Dining) and experienced some very ugly moments. Not only that the staffs didnt think high of such guests and treat them badly but also the quality n quantity of the food are sadly bad. La Gazetta successfully proved it wrong. Now lemme begin with our admiring Three Course Menu Never did I have such a nice LOBSTER SOUP. I even never thought of humiliating Lobster that way! ;) Its just served the way it should be. My FISH(fillet) in Veggie & Rice was delicately cooked n tasty as well. A dreamy Orange Sauce was the star my Crêpe and the Vanilla Ice Cream completed the 3rd Course. BUT ... before all the wonderful treatment began they already spoil us -in a very flattery way- with complimentary Fresh Bread and Olive Oil along with damn yummy Black (must try) n White Fleur de Sel and Fennel Seeds. Ps. I'd have to be agreed with some critics (in German) that eventhough the Food are very moderate to low but the price of their drinks are quite high.

Bei unserem letzten Aufenthalt im Hotel Lindner Domresidenz in Köln haben wir auch wieder das Restaurant La Gazetta (dem Hotel angeschlossen) besucht. Wir sind mit Service und Qualität der Speisen sehr zufrieden gewesen. Ein negativer Eindruck entsteht jedoch durch die Missverständliche Speisekarte: Ein "Cesar's Salad - Klassik" wird hier ohne klassische Dressing und mit Tomaten und Chicoreé serviert und eine Pasta mit "Pesto Genovese" ist auch nicht gleich "Pesto-Genovese". Es waren lediglich die Zutaten für das Pesto auf der Pasta. Also erst einmal Fragen bevor die Erwartungen nicht erfüllt werden. Daher 1 Stern weniger. Der zweite Stern fehlt, weil eine Service-Kraft nach einer kritischen Anmerkung zum Essen mit anderen Gästen über uns gesprochen hat. Ich habe das Gespräch mitbekommen und die gemachten Anmerkungen des Personals waren nicht freundlich. Diskretion wäre hier gefragt, auch wenn man den Gast nicht leiden kann. Auch das Frühstücksbuffet hat uns nicht begeistert. daher haben wir darauf verzichtet. Insgesamt wird das Restaurant dem Anspruch des Hotels mit 4 Sternen nicht gerecht. Wir hoffen nach unseren dem Personal gegenüber gemachten Anmerkungen beim nächsten Besuch entsprechende Verbesserungen vorzufinden.

Wir hatten ein Wochenende Im Lindner Domhotel Online gebucht in der Nähe des Kölner Domes bzw Nähe des Bahnhofes. Die Anbindung ist optimal. Lindner Domhotel, Kölner Dom, Shoppingmeile, Altstadt sind zu Fuß in wenigen Minuten erreichbar. Das Servicepersonal an der Reception ist freundlich und hilfsbereit. Es besteht die Möglichkeit, Schwimmbad und Sauna vom Hotel aus (externer Anbieter) zu nutzen. Hierfür werden separate Kosten für Handtücher, Bademäntel berechnet. Dies wurde uns nicht mitgeteilt bzw. damit haben wir nicht gerechnet. Wir sind davon ausgegangen, dass dies bereits im Lindner Paket inclusive ist. Empfehlung unsererseits: Das Leistungspaket vorher prüfen, damit keine böse Überraschungen entstehen.

Zeer vriendelijke ontvangst zowel aan de receptie als in het restaurant. Super-ontbijt
