Lobster Tsukemen was soooo good! Reminds me of the Tsukemen I had in Japan. Hits the spot. (As a tsukemen fan myself 😊). The cucumber and tomato sauce were a great touch to make the dish refreshing. Great job!

Tried the Kuma Ramen including the ribs. Are totally thrilled. Meat fell off the bone easily and the ramen was nice and strong. Egg was like in Japan. Cooked and prepared to perfection. The staff was very nice and gave us good advice. The price is significantly higher compared to the ramen we had in Japan, but here in Berlin it is the best spot we have tried so far. Definitely worth recommending.

Hands down the best Ramen in Berlin by a long shot. If it's authentic Japanese Ramen you want, don't even think about going anywhere but here. Any form of Tonkotsu (e.g. triple garlic) is a must try. You might have to wait a littlr, but that's because every bowl is a masterpiece and absolutely worth it.

Very nice ramen restaurant. Authentic taste, polite service and wholesome menu. I would suggest ordering the shoyu ramen accompanied by cold jasmine tea they prepare themselves.

I am *obsessed* with tsukemen ramen. It is difficult to find. It is a dipping ramen. The noodles are served cold, which allows them to retain a nice “chew”, and then dipped into a thiiiic broth that has about 50 deep flavours that harmonically blend into a tsunami of umami. The chilled noodles together with the thick broth somehow manages to be hearty, like eating a stew in the middle of winter, but also refreshing, like a cold soba noodle salad. As I said, it is difficult to find a place that does tsukemen, and even more difficult to find a place that does it well. This is one of the best I’ve had, including places in Toronto, LA, and Tokyo. Give them all the stars and all your money.

I tried the Triple Garlic Tonkotsu recently. It was rich, smooth and still well balanced. The cashier told me they’ll change to a summer menu soon to adapt to the rising temperatures. Looking forward to go there again soon and see what they came up with.

Delicious ramen that fits perfectly into the Berlin food scene. The dishes are creative and modern, with unusual compositions. The snacks, such as the kimchi and the cucumber salad, also deviate from the standard in a positive sense. The team is friendly and motivated. It's also cool that the menu varies depending on the season, so you can always try something new. Keep it up! 👏🏼

My new favourite: Shoyu Ramen. Smooth and simple, everything you expect from a bowl of ramen. I recommend ordering extra chashu and fish paste to give it extra kick especially if you are like me who wants to get this simple ramen to the next level: The Dirty Shoyu Ramen.

As a Japanese I would say it's the best ramen in Berlin (2024), they bring the whole new level of ramen 🍜 Tsukemen is the best.

The ramen is really tasty, so many flavours that make you travel to Japan. I would say the best ramen in Berlin so far. There were many vegetarian and vegan options too. My friends and I shared the ribs and the portion was huge for only 15€ with side dishes too. The meat was tasty and so tender it was falling apart from the bones. Also the personal was very welcoming. I will totally come back!

I’ve been here many, many times and it’s one of my favorite spots in Berlin. I keep coming back because they’re often changing the menu with guest pop ups. But the ramen basics are always on point: deep and rich broth, chewy noodles and well curated toppings. The new shoyu is banging and whenever and if they have the ribs when you’re there you must try them. Bonus point for being in a Markthalle so you can pick up proper beer, wine or cocktail.

Worst Ramen ever! Tourist Trap We shared rips, tonkatsu and dipping ramen. The rips were ok but tonkatsu and dipping Ramen were horrible. I was trying to show my Japanese friend a good ramen place in Berlin but it was a highly disappointing experience. We all shared all meals and the ramens were disgusting for everyone. Burnt and bitter flavor and the dipping ramen sauce was horrible. Tasted nothing like ramen. It is not understandable how this place is so well rated.

The ribs were very tasty. We didn't like the frame for €16 at all. We looked in vain for a seat

I had good expectations of trying the food at this restaurant, but I was very disappointed. I ordered the Triple Garlic Tonkotsu, in my opinion €17 is too much for a bowl of ramen that, without being a ramen expert, did not have a better presentation and flavor for what it costs. Besides, I was hungry and I didn't get full. The worst thing (for me) is that the food hurt me, three days later I'm still sick to my stomach. Maybe it's because the place has little ventilation, but it was very hot that day and maybe it affected the quality of the products. I would like to suggest that they have stricter measures for preparing or preserving food.

As someone who grew up in Japan, I was really happy to see that the owner created a Japanese ramen shop with their own taste. This is the way great ramen shops are born. Since they opened I recommended the shop to dozens of people but now I now have to leave a rather sad review. In the last months, the quality decreased significantly. The broth got thicker but more tasteless. On my visit on April 13th, the broth was so bad that we had to return one ramen and afterwards felt like we ate really old and bad frying oil. The lowlight was the female cashier commenting that we should now that tonkotsu has a thick broth.

Had the beef ramen with more noodles with a special sauce. Both brutally delicious.

My go to ramen place in Berlin!! I visited so many times. As a person who’s into lighter flavor, my favorite is their Lemon Shio Ramen! It’s just so refreshing, and the chicken is always so tender. And if you like creamy flavor, you’ve got to try their Aedama Oyster Emulsion (but only available at certain times). It has rich oyster flavor, not too salty, not too creamy, just perfect! I’ll keep coming back for more!

It's the worst ramen that I've ever tried. I had a beef ramen. I knew from the start that the pick was dangerous, but I was not expecting this... I don't know how they end up doing this flavor composition, but it end up being the worst possible. I even had extra noodles that were recommended and suppose to buff the whole dish but somehow made everything even worse.

Ramen is delicious, unfortunately ribs are not as juicy as expected.

Ordered the ribs. It was overcooked and hard like a brick 🧱. U could have eaten pieces of the Berlin Wall and it would have been easier to chew. Brought the issue up to the server. They wouldn’t take responsibility for it as they mentioned that is how the owner wants them to cook it. Lesson learned.

I had the triple garlic Tonkotsu and it was really ultra intense, creamy and with good noodles. There was also a specially ordered chili dip, but it hardly matched the spice of the soup. Unfortunately, the entire hall is very loud, so you can hardly have a conversation. Unfortunately, the music from the taco shop drowned everything out.

Unbelievably good. We had the TRIPLE GARLIC TONKOTSU and the DREAMY RIBS. The ramen broth was really flavourful, rich and intense, packed with a lot of umami. The consistency of the noodles perfect. But those ribs were the highlight - just beyond! Seasoning absolutely on point, so juicy and madly tender, you can easily pull out the bones! Also super big portion for the price! Just one note, even for me as garlic lover the roasted garlic flavour was a bit too much. But other than that we were very warm welcomed by the chef himself. Definitely coming back to try the specials!

The food is very good. It was not my style of Ramen, but very tasty. The atmosphere is good because of the background music from the place next door. I recommend it. I take away 2 stars in service for asking for tips on the card machine (I always do it) and I take away an extra star for asking for them before even providing the service. The purpose of a tip is an extra for a service. If that service has not been done yet, it loses all meaning.

We ordered a lemon ramen and a jajangmyeon. It felt like there were very few ingredients in the ramen: ~16 euros for what is basically a broth with noodles, a single small piece of pork belly and 2 mini corns is a bit too much compared to an average ramen in Berlin. The taste is obviously subjective but it was a little bit artificial, maybe because of the lemon. We couldn’t find any meat in the jajangmyeon for ~15 euros, although we ordered the regular version with pork! Edit: I initially wrote this review back in 2022, but for some reason, it appeared as unpublished until I noticed it just now and finally published it. I'm certain that the place must have undergone some changes since then, and I am eager to experience those when I return to Berlin from my Asia trip.

Super tasty ramen. We had the Tripel Garlic and the special Tsukemen and both were full-bodied, complex. The price for the quality is absolutely great. The service was very friendly. We'd love to come back.

Above-average ramen for Berlin, but unfortunately it still can't keep up with Japan. The Tonkotsu Ramen simply lacked depth. So it's recommended if you don't have any higher expectations or there's no comparison with Japan.

I didn‘t particularly like the broth. I ordered tripple garlic. The broth is too greasy and the whole Ramen is too heavy. Not a lot of fresh ingredients. I never had edamame that didn’t taste good, but here was my first time.

Anyone who comes for the ramen will be very satisfied here. Of the tonkotsus I've tried so far in Berlin, this is the creamiest and richest so far. Delicious!!! Plus the noodles are good and the egg was just perfect. Unfortunately, the other dish we ordered (dreamy ribs) wasn't as convincing. Otherwise it would have been a safe 5 stars. But definitely a very, very good place for ramen

Kuma Ramen is really changing the Berlin ramen scene. That place is incredible and for now I will most likely not be able to enjoy ramen at any other of the ramen spots in Berlin, and trust me, I've been to a lot, as well as to Japan. Everybody else has to step up their game, it's a win-win. Go Kuma, thanks for everything!

Definitely the best ramen I’ve had in Berlin! The team really puts an incredible amount of effort into refining their craft, sourcing good ingredients, and making sure the customers are happy. Follow them on Instagram and you’ll see what I mean. A must try if you’re in the area, and a small business worth supporting! Try the Triple Garlic Tonkotsu, it’s an umami bomb in the best way!

It was so bad I could not finish the whole thing and that took them 30minutes to prepare.

The ramen here are insanely good. Noodles have a good bite, the broth is deep in flavour and the toppings were all well made. Really delicious bowl of ramen without being too salty, but still having a deep umami flavour.

Wow, the ramen was REALLY good. Smoked pork, egg, noodles, that bowl of rice with garlic&butter - oh my god, every element of the soup was amazing. The broth felt like... I don't know, broth squared? So dense and rich with aroma. These guys love what they're doing and it's easy to tell. 5+ from me.

Excellent Ramen, some teas are flavorless, some teas a good. Wish they had their own chopsticks instead of using wooden one use, but I understand that chopsticks often get stolen. Would definitely eat again if I’m around this area.

Super friendly staff when we were there and small adjustments were taken into account without any problems. Otherwise more importantly, the food is really good. Spaces are shared among all the food stands and you can look for something anywhere. You may have to wait a bit, it was full but not too full.

Omo!!! Seriously, some of the best food I ever had. The broth was thick and full of flavour. We had ribs(a special this week) and they slipped (!) of the bone. The kimchi was crunchy and just right. That cucumber salad ..nom nom.. and gone. Lovely lady helped us with our order, which came fast and hot! Seating is an issue because it is multiple gastronomies in one place.

Unfortunately overpriced and only hyped because of influencers on Insta. Meat was probably forgotten, otherwise it is even more overpriced than expected because it would have been 16 euros for broth and noodles. And 8 euros for a small bowl of KimChi. Is disproportionate. Chili costs extra. How can that be with an Asian🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️ We were very disappointed.

I ordered Triple Garlic ramen and it tastes so good, rich of flavours and you can really taste the garlic. Very recommended for people who like garlic. It's a bit tasty for my liking but otherwise everything else is perfect: the noodles are springy and at the right amount of chewiness, the egg is perfectly cooked, the pork belly is juicy and tender, the condiments complement very well. This is my go-to ramen place and for that kind of quality, the price is also fair.

Der Ramen, dreimal Knoblauch war echt super, dass Ambiente ist wie in einer Kantine. Bedienung gibt es dort keine, man muss sich sein Essen selber abholen. Trotzdem wird am Anfang Trinkgeld erbeten. Wobei der Ramen nicht gerade günstig ist ich glaube wir haben pro Ramen 16 € bezahlt, über die anderen Restaurants kann ich nicht sagen aber probiert es aus

This is by far some of the best Ramen I've had in Berlin. They're broth is good and not too salty. Their noodles are made in house and not overcooked. This is how Ramen should be.

Sehr enttäuschende Erfahrung mit dem Service. Die Gerichte (Ramen Garlic tonkotsu und Char Siu Ribs) haben unseren Geschmack nicht getroffen, allerdings ist das natürlich Geschmackssache und nicht der Grund für dieses Review. Wir haben uns für die Ribs entschieden weil ein anderer Gast sie zuvor bestellt und uns empfohlen hat. Die sahen sehr zart und saftig aus. Unsere waren allerdings sehr zäh und es war so gut wie unmöglich sie mit dem Holzbesteck zu zerschneiden. Zudem war das Fleisch an der Mitte bis zum Knorpel noch sehr rot und ist mit roter Flüssigkeit zerflossen, wir waren uns nicht sicher ob es roh war. Ich bin mit dem Gericht zur Theke gegangen um nachzufragen und habe meine Bedenken geäußert. Der Koch entgegnete direkt ohne sich das Gericht anzuschauen mit "Das kann nicht roh sein, das wird alles schon vorgekocht". Ich hielt ihm die Platte näher und fragte, ob er sich das Gericht anschauen könne. Ohne sich das Gericht anzuschauen wiederholte er sich, es sei unmöglich, dass das Gericht roh ist und wenn ich Bedenken habe, müsse ich es nicht essen. Ich bin da nicht an die Theke gekommen um Ärger zu machen, ich habe höflich nachgefragt ob es so sein soll und ich mir nicht sicher bin, ob es teils roh ist. Zumal ich das Gericht zuvor schon bei einem anderen Gast gesehen habe und es da sehr zart war. Solch eine Abwehrhaltung ist ein absolutes Nogo und zerstört für mich die gesamte Erfahrung beim auswärts Essengehen. Fehler können passieren. Ein Entgegenkommen wäre allerdings nett gewesen wie zum Beispiel das Fleisch noch einmal in den Ofen zu schieben. Oder, dass man generell auf mein Anliegen eingeht. Stattdessen hatte ich das Gefühl, dass man mich nur schnell abwimmeln wollte.

Attention all ramen lovers! This is it. Amazing Tsukemen.

Kann die Begeisterung hier null nachvollziehen. Hab hier Ende Oktober ein Special-Ramen gegessen, das war einfach absolut ungenießbar. Brühe war total überfettet (selbst für Ramen) und hat geschmeckt, als hätte man sie besser entsorgt statt serviert. Das Hähnchenfleisch dabei war auch eklig, eine Scheibe aus einer zusammengestückelten Formrolle ohne Gewürze dran. Die Nudeln waren viel zu dick für Ramen, habe Spaghetti im Verdacht, und dazu noch viel zu weich gekocht. War den stolzen Preis, der hier verlangt wird, absolut nicht wert :( Vielleicht sind die Standard Ramen, die dauerhaft auf der Karte stehen, besser. Aber ich hatte noch nie so schlechtes Ramen in Berlin (habe schon viele Ramen-Restaurants ausprobiert) und absolut keine Lust, nochmal so viel Geld auszugeben, um es zu testen. Denn die Preise hier sind echt happig, mit mindestens 16 Euro. UPDATE Antwort auf Reaktion von Kuma Ramen: Genau, ich war an diesen Tagen da und hatte wahrscheinlich dieses Special Ramen. Allerdings handelte es sich beim Fleisch definitiv nicht um Schwein, da ich explizit um Hühnchen gebeten hatte, Schweinefleisch kann ich nicht richtig verdauen (führt zu extremer Übelkeit). Und dieses Hühnchenfleisch war eben einfach eine Scheibe aus einer gepressten Formrolle, zäh und ohne jegliche Gewürze, nix für 8h in einem Smoker... Auch die Nudeln waren anders als ihr sagt weder breit noch kurz. Sie waren lang, dick und vollkommen zerkocht. Spaghetti eben, die zu lang gekocht wurden. Ich musste bis jetzt noch nie irgendwo ansagen, extra harte Nudeln zu wollen, damit sie einfach normal, nämlich al dente, sind – das ist eigentlich der zu erwartende Standard.

Vielleicht zu sehr trendende, fettige Ramen zu einem stolzen Preis. Geschmacklich hat es mich leider nicht so abgeholt. Edit: Habe mich heute Nacht leider davon übergeben müssen, irgendwas hat nicht gepasst :(

Was für Ramen. Ich habe schon viele probiert und diese sind wirklich eine der besten Ramen die ich je gegessen habe. Preis ist hoch wie ich finde aber das ist es Wert. 16-18€ pro Portion. Werde gern wiederkommen 🤤😊

Keine authentischen Japanischen Ramen. Es gibt kaum Toppings man hat gerade mal 3 verschiedene Sorten zur Auswahl. Die Brühe ist sehr salzig und für den Preis eindeutig zu wenig.

Ramen war sehr lecker. Perfekt zubereitet. Alle Zutaten waren sehr lecker. Leider hat es 55 Minuten nach Bestellung gedauert. Die Dame an der Kasse war überfordert. Der Preis von 16€ ist auch stolz. Es gibt ein schweinebauch Angebot von 12€. (Das alles finde ich nur teuer weil es keine Bedienung gibt.) Finde diese Selbstbedienungs Läden nicht gut, die einem dann preislich nicht entgegenkommen. Der Laden ist grade sehr tubelig. Und das Platzangebot ist dem Gerade nicht gewachsen. Dazu wischt keiner die Tische ab. Nur sehr selten wird das Geschirr weg geräumt.

Sehr gutes Ramen mit zähem Schweinbauch. Insgesamt mit 16€ viel zu teuer. 13€ mit vernüftigen Schweinebauch und es wäre ok. Zumal das von der Portion eher ne Vorspeise ist.

Genuinely THE best ramen I‘ve had in berlin so far. Being born and bred here this is quite a statement. My friend Niko who started working there, purely out of admiration for the craft, recommend me this place and I do not regret coming here.

An sich ist Ramen wirklich gut, ich finde die Brühe echt lecker und die ist vielleicht wirklich die beste in der Stadt. Der Besitzer macht sich echt Mühe Menschen zu begeistern und macht immer wieder neue interessante Ramens (kenne ihn aus dem Instagram). Ein Punktabzug ist aber wegen dem Fleisch. Für tripple garlic Tonkatzu kriegt man leider nur ein kleines Stückchen Schweinefleisch, das allerdings hauptsächlich ausm Speck besteht. Für 16 Euro wünscht man sich etwas mehr ;) Ich komme gern wieder, probiere aber irgendeine andere Ramen Variante.

Beste Ramen der Stadt. Nam weiß einfach worauf es ankommt, das gesamte Team lebt Ramen und man merkt einfach den Unterschied zu anderen Ramen Restaurants in Berlin direkt beim ersten Löffel. Unschlagbar authentisch, super Qualität und Geschmack. Wenn ihr guten Ramen wollt, dann kommt ihr hier hin.

Best Ramen in town! I tried the triple garlic and it was very good. Also Ribs are must try! With the cucumber it is perfect 한국인이라면 좋아할만한 마늘 잔뜩 들어간 라면입니다. 베를린에 많은 라면집 가봤는데 진득한 국물로는 최고입니다 :)

The tonkotsu was the best I ever had in Germany but still not better than a 600 yen bowl in Japan. The noodles were great and had a good chew. I would’ve wished for an option to choose between the firmness of the noodles because for tonkotsu I like my noodles on the firmer side. Presentation could be better with a proper noodle fold. The kaedama was generous and worth the extra 2€. The broth started out good with a nice balance of salinity, savoriness and richness but towards the end hard to swallow due to the increasing bitterness of the garlic infusing the broth over time. Also, the broth was a bit too thick for my taste. The toppings were good but still need refinement. The chashu was tasty but cubic which looks nice but is very impractical to eat. Due to its shape, biting off a piece was complicated and messy. Instead, having a long rectangular piece is more fun to bite off. This way you can get a bite of both meat and fat. Or just slice the cube thinly for a better experience. The ajitama and all the other toppings were good as well. The service was super friendly, fast and knew what they were doing. All in all, not worth 16€ but I guess these are the typical markup prices for a mediocre bowl in Berlin. But given that Germany is not a ramen hotspot and the bar for ramen is quite low you won‘t get a better bowl of ramen anywhere in Germany, except Düsseldorf maybe. Nonetheless, I appreciate the effort, hard work and research that went into the bowl of an ambitious ramen chef. 3 stars for the bowl and another star for the team. Please keep improving and I can’t wait to try the other bowls next time.

超級鹹，水壺半罐水倒下去還是很鹹，原味的湯喝下去鹹到反苦，基本上只嚐得到醬鹹味跟蒜味；豬肉塊也醬煮得很鹹然後很硬，一絲一絲會卡牙縫的那種；溏心蛋的蛋黃流心的口感稠稠的，呈現半透明狀，我沒有很喜歡，但至少不會太鹹；麵條中規中矩，不是硬麵但我也沒要求硬麵。 除非平常吃極度重鹹不然不要去吃ㄟ，而且還要16歐我寧願吃兩個Döner還能點薯條～ 本來以為是獨立的店家，結果是在美食廣場裡的一個櫃的那種，環境有點吵雜，我覺得賣這個價錢還不是獨立店面真的有點太貴，不過這邊有廁所⋯ 店員態度友善，也會說英文，能刷卡支付，隔壁墨西哥菜生意很好如果想來的話再考慮！附近社區行道樹很多，走起來是舒服的 兩顆星是給友善店員跟友善廁所。

Ramen that lives up to its legend.

Having been here a few times now (3 or 4), the biggest problem I see is consistency. The first two times I came, the ramen was amazing. We had the triple garlic tonkotsu and the tsukumen. Both were deep in flavour and very umami. However, the problem here is that they have a series of rotating or temporary specials, all of which felt very very rushed and unbalanced. Perhaps the problem with having rotating dishes is the insufficient time to perfect the balance of flavor. I would 100% recommend the triple garlic tonkotsu or tsukumen but every other dish was predominantly too salty - in a way that felt rushed rather than intentional.

Tolle Ramen mit sehr kräftiger Brühe!

After following kuma ramen progress on Instagram for months, we finally decided to try it out for ourselves. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable about the menu and gave us some recommendations. You can pay with cash or card (thank god) haha. There didn't appear to be any cold drinks on the menu but we were having ramen so it wasn't a big deal for us. We ordered the triple garlic tonkotsu and the ribs special. We waited less than 5 minutes to receive our order and honestly the tonkotsu was worth the wait!! An overall great umami flavour- specifically the charred nuttiness of the black garlic oil paired beautifully with the pork and jammy marinated egg. It also tasted like it maybe had some toasted sesame seeds or sesame oil but I'm not sure. The noodles were fresh and had the perfect consistency of chewiness whilst absorbing the flavour. My only little concern was that it is rather on the edge of being too salty so if that's not something you like - I've seen from comments from the owner that you can ask for less salt. Overall I thought it was very well balanced - the saltiness is only rather pronounced when you're almost at the bottom of the bowl so that's something to consider. We also got the ribs special because why not and honestly my expectations were absolutely blown away. The ribs were so succulent and tasty - meat falling off the bone goodness! It also came with a side of rice and marinated cucumbers which paired perfectly together- thank you for providing gloves you will definitely need them! We left with empty plates and full bellies but walking off these dishes is a small price to pay for a flavour explosion. I think for the time it has been open kuma ramen is something special and maybe it'll turn into a restaurant in the future. I can't wait to go back and try everything else.
