Hage Ramen in Berlin

I’m only giving this one star because I have to. The food wasn’t fresh at all — it seemed like it had just been reheated. Everything looked old, and the taste confirmed it. I honestly feel like I just threw my money away. Even the eggs were dried out, as if they had been cut a long time ago and left sitting there. The restaurant was extremely cold, and I was freezing while trying to eat. I even told the lady there that there was something wrong with the food, but she said she didn’t understand English — even though she clearly understood me when I ordered in English earlier. Overall, it was honestly the worst meal I’ve ever had.

I love this place! My fiancé and I have been regulars for two years now. I'd love to upload a photo, but we eat everything as soon as it arrives. I fell in love with this place from the very first day I came here. The portions are just right, the chicken teriyaki is authentic, and the ramen broth makes you feel healthier! Here's to many more years!

The spicy ramen tasted okay—nothing special, but solid. Unfortunately, the ambiance was rather disappointing: cold, uncomfortable, and overall not particularly inviting. However, I would like to highlight the staff—they were genuinely friendly and helpful, which somewhat salvaged the overall impression.

I went there after 6pm on a weekday Friday, and there was absolutely no one there. I wondered if it was because of the recession and many people were refraining from eating out. The Torikotsu Ramen's pork slices were quite different from the image in the photo, and they weren't very rich. I was expecting a richer version. The soup and noodles were delicious. For 13.5 euros, I honestly wish it was a little richer and the flavor was a bit lacking. I was hoping for a more punchy flavor that lived up to its name, Hage Ramen.

Food tastes good, staff is very nice

It was awful there! It was my birthday and I didn't get anything free. The restroom looked like it was meant to be slaughtered, and the ramen looked like instant pudding. The peach iced tea tasted way too much like medicine. And even the eggs tasted disgusting.

I'm unfortunately very disappointed with what the place has become... I enjoyed eating here for a long time, but the quality of the food has simply deteriorated drastically. I arrived at 5:30 p.m., shortly after opening, and there was only one other couple left in the place. The restroom was so dirty, as was everything else in the place (not to mention the dead pigeon right in front of the stairs). The chili oil and sesame seeds are extremely sticky and haven't been cleaned in ages. I was able to turn a blind eye to the slightly cooler atmosphere because I liked the ramen, but it was so cold in the place that my boyfriend and I had to keep our winter jackets on. We were brought the wrong appetizer twice (as mentioned, we were almost the only customers), and our special requests were ignored. We left the place very dissatisfied, partly still hungry because my boyfriend really couldn't eat what was served to him, and the waiter was completely disinterested. Still, we spent over €60 in the place for two appetizers, two main courses, and two drinks. Was my last visit

The first impression was good. We ordered through their online system. We were not informed that some ingredients were missing (mushrooms in our case), and the cook simply change it by pok choi. Note that we were also not told that, we just found out by asking the waiter. Dishes were a disappointing version of what one would expect for Japanese ramen. Tea was highly diluted. Hard to understand were the 4.7 reviews come from.

Honestly I am incredibly saddened to see what this shop has become. I’ve been there before and had a very positive experience with this restaurant. But today I was utterly disappointed. When entering the shop a very unpleasant smell filled the air. It smelled like a pipe had broken somewhere and vented its entire odour into the shop. The broth for the ramen was very pleasant but the rest of it smelled and partially tasted like some of the ingredients had sat in the back for a little to long. All in all I can not recommend this shop anymore and would advise people to go somewhere else.

The ramen tastes like over-the-top instant noodles, the restroom is dirty and dimly lit, and I don't even want to talk about the peach iced tea (it tastes like medicine). Still, plus points for the appetizers, which were excellent. There's also no physical menu here. You have to scan a QR code and fill out a form, which is very unusual. And especially unpleasant for older people like me. Overall, the price isn't worth it, so I don't recommend it.

The cheapest ramen is 13.90 and tastes like overcooked instant noodles. The broth barely tastes of anything, the noodles are still half-hard, and they generally taste kind of weird. The peach iced tea tastes like nail polish remover and medicine. The restroom is way too dimly lit, probably because they're trying to hide the dirt. Also, they only have online menus. The decor is pretty mediocre. It's nice, but the benches are so small that you can't even fit your whole butt on them. Unfortunately, I wouldn't recommend it; I'd rather go to Marubi in Berlin Mitte (unfortunately, they're currently closed).

I wasn't that impressed with the ramen. It wasn't bad, but it was very different from what I'd find in Japan.

Super delicious ramen, just like in Japan (also with a large selection for vegetarians and vegans). Always happy to go back.

I stopped by here randomly with three of my friends, and it was WORTH IT. I'm not ashamed to admit I spent like 40€ here because of how much I ordered. The food is fantastic, the serving time was fast and the atmosphere was comfortable. I especially loved the lighting, which was designed to look like ramen bowls, I wish I had taken a picture. All in all, 10/10, can only recommend.

Basically, the ramen broth is rich and delicious. It comes out right after you order it. The owner is also kind.

The inside is not bad, the ramen is tasty, but the toilet is terrible, it is dirty and very dark inside.

How lucky I am to be able to easily stop by my personal insider tip, Hage Ramen! Based on my many years of Hage Ramen experience, I can only recommend this restaurant! You can expect authentic, traditional Japanese cuisine, and you can taste it. Depending on my mood, I personally switch between Tantan Men, Roasted Sesame Ramen, Miso Ramen, and Torikotsu Ramen – simply delicious!!!

Unfortunately, I can't agree with the many positive reviews here. The food was too salty, and the drinks were outrageously expensive. I wouldn't recommend it.

Delicious vegan ramen, with so many vegan and non vegan options. The tantan ramen totally blew me away. I will definitely be back. The torikotsu has a very hearty broth.

ramen was pretty good, had the tonkotsu & tantanmen so far and i recommend both of them :) tantanmen could be a bit spicier but that might just be personal preference!

We ordered ramen – one chicken and one tonkotsu ramen. Both were super tasty! The food was delivered hot and on time. Clear recommendation, we would be happy to order again!

One of the best Ramen places in town. Really creamy and rich broth, many different varieties, several toppings and a wide range of vegan options available. Only downsides: the atmosphere is a bit minimalistic Nd they don't serve alcohol. No card payment, but in-store online orders with online payments possible.

Little hidden pearl in Wilmersdorf. For me it's definitely the best ramen shop around. The decor could be more comfortable, but the food is great. Hot tip: order chili with it! But be careful... 😄

I'm pretty disappointed. I've gotten food here twice so far. The food tastes very tasty and the staff are friendly, hence the 3 stars. However, with the second order I expected an extra large portion, which costs €3.90 more. The portion was in exactly the same packaging and you could only guess that there was more in it. I think it's a rip-off for €3.90.

Sorry, there is no menu, NO prices, just a QR code!! No German, no English, no help for people who are out and about without a cell phone. I won't go here anymore.

Gone there twice and tried 4 bowls of Ramen with different kind of broths and they all tasted so nice and the broth are thick. The fried chicken are good to try as well.

Tasty, solid, nice We had various vegetarian and vegan starters, main courses and desserts. We liked everything, the food came quickly, even though it was quite full, there was only one cook working in the kitchen and we were told right away that it could take 30 minutes to get your food. We ordered and paid online, super easy. Thanks for the nice evening, we'll be happy to come back.

I really loved the atmosphere here. The painted walls and decor worked really well to create a vibe I liked a lot. I didn't like the online order system, would be easier if they just used a regular menu

The food was very good. The broth had a very intense flavor and the noodles were chewy. It's a shame there's no pork though. Unfortunately, the Chicken Chashu was very disappointing. I definitely want to try the other warm dishes there. The portions looked very small at first glance, but they were really filling. We each had one starter per person, which was also very tasty. Orders are made using a filling form if you pay in cash. At the end, how much everything costs is written on the order form in pen. If you pay by card, you have to order online. There is hardly any service, more self-service.

“Wait until we assign you a seat” takes on completely new dimensions here. Waiting for 30 minutes without being acknowledged with a glance or a quick “Hello…” is in itself rude. When there are still a number of places available, you eventually give up and have enough. The food is top. The rest, well… I won't be passing by any time soon.

The noodles are super good, and it’s the real Ramen; the broth is ok; the half cooked eggs are great; the other toppings are just normal; Just wish they had a proper tangible menu, not having to view it through your smartphone

This was the second time I had the vegan miso ramen soup and I was very satisfied! Really tasty! The service is friendly and super fast. Ordering is done online, you scan the card on your cell phone, then have the option to order directly and pay online, although cash payment is also possible.

Lovingly furnished restaurant with fast service. In my opinion the best ramen in Berlin. I really liked the vegetarian karaage. I can also recommend the vegetarian Shoyu Ramen. Will be my new regular ramen shop

I used the rating again and got my ass kicked. The issue of paying is a confusing matter, I didn't come to an agreement with the gentleman who immediately told me to turn on the online menu. And pay there, I suggested that I prefer cash, but he didn't explain to me how to do it. I read the comments here about paying at home. He gave us a card that said I could pay in cash, but he insisted on paying online! This was the first minus. The cards he gave us could be cleaned more often, they're all stuck together... Already a little pissed off, I finished the online order and received the drinks. Very tasty aloe vera with a dirty metal straw... so I didn't look at it right away! 🥴 Ramen has arrived! My partner's egg had a fly or some other small thing with wings on it... he just took it out and ate it, but he's not a fan of Asian dishes and I won't drag him to a similar place after something like that. Overall, the Ramen was tasty, but the payment, the unwelcoming staff, the sad tube and the fly in the plate... unfortunately, the taste of the dishes couldn't defend it. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Finally delicious ramen in Charlottenburg! A shop where you would like to eat again

The food was very tasty, and you can order as better suits you, using and app or face to face. The service was just ok, but I am not coming back and here is why: the sanitary condition of the restaurant is terrible. The toilet was very dirty, it seems like the sink was cleaned last time a couple of years ago, and to make it even worse I saw a huge rat going out of the kitchen.

The ramen here is sooo good. The store is decorated in Japanese anime and manga style and is cute. The food is very authentic and very tasty.

We tried the Shoyu Ramen and Gyozas… and everything was delicious!!!! I really recommend this place, and the prices are really good compared to other places in Berlin.

It's great here, you can also order vegan, the things are exported from Japan and you can taste it in the quality because the ramen is first class.

What can you say, the ramen tastes very good, you never wait long for your food, the waiters are friendly... so for me everything is always very good and that's why it's a must-visit on almost every Berlin trip. Definitely highly recommended. ^^

Cute little place with really tasty Ramen. I recommend the Miso Ramen as main, edemame and gyozas as starters. This is my second time visiting the place and will come back again in future.

Unfortunately the food has gone downhill. The ramen was good, but the starters, the pak choi and kimchi, were far too bitter and didn't taste good. We had mentioned this, but we had not received any funding for it. The matcha cake was also pure ice cream. Service was still nice. We expected much more. Price also high!

We had shoyu ramen and duck ramen. The broth and noodles were very good, unfortunately the chicken in the shoyu tasted old. Several people tried the chicken - everyone put it aside. The duck was ok but standard. The side dishes were great! Sorry, but we won't order again. There is simply much better ramen in Berlin.

A great place to eat a great ramen (generous portions).

This cute little ramen place tucked away in Wilmersdorf exudes a charming minimalistic vibe. Ordering is a breeze, with the option to pay via QR code or the old-fashioned pen and paper method for cash payments. The menu is succinct. While there are a few appetizers, sides, rice dishes, and desserts available, the real star here is undoubtedly the ramen. The gyoza were a delightful start, but the ramen stole the show with its rich, flavorful broth simmered for 12 hours, accompanied by Hokkaido noodles and tender chicken-chashu. Service, while friendly, was a bit sluggish. Our appetizer arrived after our ramen, and despite the restaurant being nearly empty, we waited longer than expected (~25min) for our meal. Despite the slight delay, I highly recommend this spot for anyone craving traditional, high-quality and delicious ramen.

2 days in Berlin, went out to eat twice, fantastic! Had vegan ramen twice, vegan miso and sesame, both absolutely great! And 2x “normal” ramen, absolutely delicious! Drinks great: Ramune and Yuzu soda. Next time in Berlin we will be here again!

The restaurant doesn't seem so inviting due to the dark interior. I've read a lot here that it should be cold. You might get the feeling that the service isn't really friendly. Ate karage and ramen. I've eaten both better in Berlin. Unfortunately a bit overrated. I think it's okay for the price, except the price of the water was really expensive!
