Iimori Ramen in Berlin

The best ramen in the city, served in a very cozy atmosphere.

I arrived a bit earlier than the rest of my group, so while I was waiting for my friends, I joined the queue at the door. It was moving fast enough, and after some time I told the guy I’d need a table for three. He asked where my friends were and told me to sit aside at the street table and wait. I thought it was only fair that they didn’t want me to wait inside and occupy a table for three while there was a queue outside, so no questions asked - I did what I was told, assuming we’d have priority when everyone arrived. Meanwhile the queue was growing. Indeed, the rest of my party joined me promptly, and we announced we were ready to be seated. That’s where the weird part of the story begins - the guy said, “No, I need to seat this group of four first. Join the queue.” We asked, “But we were here first,” and he pointed at me and said, “He was first, you two were not.” That was rude, that was not cool, and that was not a nice thing to do after you ask someone to wait extra time outside in cold only because it’s good for the business and they actually follow your instructions. It makes zero sense to us - there’s no rule that the whole group should queue together to be seated. Would you say the same if my party was bigger than four? Obviously we had to leave at this point.

i had high hopes for this place. i’ve passed by many times — it’s always full, which usually means the kitchen does something right. unfortunately, the experience didn’t quite meet expectations. the service was fast and polite, and the atmosphere feels cozy. but the ramen itself lacked depth. the pork broth didn’t have the richness you expect from slow-cooked stock, and the noodles seemed closer to packaged than handmade — perhaps not, but that’s how they tasted. the portion size was generous, and presentation was neat, but flavour-wise the dish felt unfinished. also, it’s surprising that there are no soft drinks on the menu — for many guests, a simple soda makes a big difference in balance and comfort. overall, it’s a nice a bit loud central spot with potential. kitchen could benefit from more attention to detail — especially the broth and noodles. with a few adjustments, it could become a truly strong ramen place in berlin.

It has much room for improvement. Great service and atmosphere. Gyozas were good although a bit soggy. I had Tonkatsu. Ramen was average, the noodles were soggy and not premium quality, the pork really not refined- dry and without any char- and white cabbage? Really not authentic, and also not Japanese owned. I understand that it’s in a touristic spot in the city but it can do much better

The restaurant is cute and cozy. Not too many seats so sometimes you have to wait for a table. The ramen however was average at best. We started with veggie Gyoza and I think they used egg as filling. Interesting choice. Not bad but also not my favourite. I had the Tantan Ramen but I didn't think it was spicy at all even after adding some oil. The broth was not rich and also lacked this full flavoursome taste typical for Ramen. The noodles were okay but also lacked taste. Instead of spinach I prefer Pak choi or something similar in ramen. All in all, for a good Ramen I wouldn't recommend this place.

An absolute highlight. The gyoza are from Update 2025: They now only serve vegan food. The ramen is still very tasty, but is losing some of its authentic flavor. Therefore, I unfortunately have to deduct a rating from my previous review... The finest, and the ramen is 100% authentic and super delicious! Due to the small dining room, long waits can quickly occur. Be sure to reserve a table! A special mention: the super friendly staff. They gave us a round of quince tea on the house while we waited in the cold. Great!

I was there with my best friend in September when we were on our school trip to Berlin. The food was delicious and worth the price. It's a shame I live five hours away from Berlin and can't eat there whenever I want. But if I'm ever in Berlin again, I'll definitely go there again!! Highly recommended!

We happened to be nearby today and wanted to have ramen, so we spontaneously went to Iimori. We had to wait outside for about 10 minutes before we entered the small, very cramped but cozy and rustic restaurant. We had the tonkotsu and the Iimori special ramen. Overall, the food was okay, but based on the reviews, I would have expected more. Unfortunately, the cheese in the special ramen wasn't completely melted, so my noodles were just a lump of soft cheese. The taste was rather average. I've had better ramen in Berlin. The food came quickly, and card payments were also accepted. All in all, 3 stars.

Very friendly staff, cozy atmosphere with a very contemporary Japanese feel, delicious food. The ramen is excellent but could be better; not among the best I've had, but still excellent.

Tasteless. I ordered a Miso ramen and I barely taste the miso or any flavor in my bowl. The pork is plain and other toppings are boring. I don‘t not recommend this place at all.

I love coming here every time! The vegan restaurant has a fantastic selection and the food is deliciously prepared. The meat imitations are top-notch! I especially recommend the "beef" version. The price is a bit higher, but it's worth it ⭐️🦦

A (very) small, cute restaurant in a good location with truly delicious ramen. The vegan duck is amazing! The menu is very interestingly designed, so there's something for everyone. The tonkotsu is spot on, but the beef substitute might not be to everyone's taste. I would have liked a bit more service, but admittedly, it was packed and there was only one server in the place. I will definitely be back.

The broth was unfortunately quite weak. The noodles were okay, but only half an egg and raw cabbage in the tonkotsu ramen? The chashu was also very meager.

The ramen was truly delicious! The restaurant may be small, but it's very cozy. The service was really friendly, and even though it was our first visit to a Japanese restaurant, we received excellent advice. The curry ramen and ice cream were the best in our opinion; we'll definitely be back!

An almost great ramen, The noodles were good, but everything else... Not so much, an overcooked not long brined egg, it had corn which tasted canned, the basil was not infused as much as expected from the menu, and the broth itself was just plain. The staff are very nice, helpful, and the atmosphere is okay.

Iimori Ramen offered a very pleasant ramen experience in Berlin. The decor was clean and modern, the staff was attentive, and the service was fast. The ramen was delicious and filling, and it was a pleasure to eat here.

Please realize that this restaurant is ENTIRELY VEGAN. It doesn't seem to indicate this anywhere in the description and I wanted to share that as it was a total surprise to me when I went.

I came here with my girlfriend and it was a really beautiful experience. The Ramen was delicious, especially the vegan duck (we had the vegan duck starter aswell) and so were the wanton dumplings. Our waitress originated from Tokyo which felt like a really authentic experience as a learner of the Japanese language. I finished my meal with Sake (日本酒 あたたかい) and Mojiアイス😍 highly recommend!

The ramen is delicious. We ordered the classic, and it was great. A cozy place with good service. They have some tables outside in the summer. Reasonable prices.

A great restaurant, very quiet, a good selection of ramen, it was delicious, perfect quantity, we really enjoyed it. Special mention to the peach iced tea, incredible!

The food was good, without a doubt. Don't go after 9 p.m. because they're already looking at the clock to say they close at 10 p.m. However, the food is served in less than 10 minutes. More than 20 minutes before closing time, they come around (uninvited) with your tray to take payment and figuratively brush you off while you're still eating. It's a shame, because with a little more customer focus, this could have been a much better experience.

I've been a regular at Iimori since it opened and have never been disappointed. The staff is always very friendly, and the owner always greets me warmly. Even without a reservation, they make every effort to find a seat quickly. The broths are of high quality, and the selection is extensive and creative. I particularly recommend the tonkotsu ramen with cheese and a hint of yuzu, the basil tonkotsu, or the curry ramen. In the non-vegan section, you can get authentic ramen starting at just €13.50. In both cases, Iimori is a clear recommendation for true ramen lovers!

Best vegan ramen in Berlin so far! There’s a special lunch deal from 12pm to 3pm, what makes the food very affordable! Great price for great food. Waiter was also very nice. It’s a little small but we got our drinks and food within a few minutes! I wouldn’t recommend it for bigger groups, but me and my friend had a great time!

Unfortunately had a really bad and rude experience. We sat on a table, of which a chair was outside an apartment entrance - we asked specifically about this before sitting down, if it was OK to sit there. The waiter said it was absolutely fine. We were then approached by the manager (I assume) who asked us to leave after we had ordered and waited a while - as apparently the table could not allow 2 people. The waiter was super rude about it and didn't allign well with his colleague. Real shame as we had already ordered and waited about 30 minutes.

I've eaten ramen many times before, so I was a little disappointed here. I had expected higher quality based on the positive reviews. The ramen was quite good. We were all full, and the staff was very friendly.

Tonkotsu Ramen and Yuzu Sake Spritz. Both were delicious and fresh. I didn't have to wait 10 minutes for my order, despite the busy restaurant. The waitresses were also very friendly and accommodating. However, I would have preferred the tonkotsu broth to be a bit spicier or cooked longer.

Everything went very quickly, friendly staff and very tasty ramen.

My yuzu ramen and yuzu ice cream were delicious. I also appreciated that I wasn't asked to order a drink like at some other restaurants. However, I did find it a bit disappointing that the prices on the website were no longer up-to-date, and I had to pay €11.00 (lunch price) for my ramen and €4.90 for my ice cream (or a total of €16, wherever the remaining 10 cents came from).

The vegan ramen is delicious and filling. This is our second time here, and it definitely won't be the last!

We had a voucher we wanted to use. We activated it with a waitress, who then told us we had to sit on the other side of the restaurant because we were vegan (a questionable concept, especially since both menus have vegan dishes). No problem, we did. The waiter then said the voucher was no longer valid because we had to activate it in front of him. We felt pretty ripped off. We politely explained the situation and then just paid the full price because we were fed up.

Never again. I redeemed a voucher via a well-known app right at the start – then changed seats, and suddenly the voucher is no longer accepted because the employee "didn't see me swipe." Seriously? Even though it was clear that it had been redeemed here and today. Zero goodwill, zero understanding, just stubborn and unfriendly. Customer service looks different. Absolutely disappointing.

I tried the soup-less ramen with dipping sauce, it's utterly inauthentic. Not only is it very pricey for its quality, the service from the staff was poor. I will never visit again!

First the good: the place is small, beautiful, very well designed with simplicity. You can just sit there all day and will be a perfect day! The staff was nice, easy and friendly. But we're for the food, right?. I was looking for best ramen in Berlin, and found this one online. Definitely worst tantanmen I've ever had, completely bland in taste, not a hint of spiceness (even a bit!) and its advertised on menu with two symbols of the chili... At first sight I thoguht they prepared me some other ramen, not tantanmen! almost All others tantanmens I've tried were kind of full in taste, meat was so well cooked (here was whit-ish, not so cooked!), but not here. So even the hot sauce that I put a lot after first sip, was not enough to find a "taste". No taste at all... bland! Maybe other ramens they make are better, who knows! Should be 2 stars but I dont want to be unkind, the place and vibe is great.

Really good ramen, and well adapted to German preferences.

I went to a restaurant hoping to eat Japanese ramen, but the staff were Asian, so I was a little worried, but I still had hope that the person making it might be Japanese, so I ordered cold Chinese noodles and tsukemen. The noodles arrived without much waiting time. The cold Chinese noodles definitely had the flavor of Japanese cold Chinese noodles, with a hint of soy sauce and vinegar, but the taste was very weak. I tried to mix it up, but there was no sauce at the bottom of the bowl, and the noodles were only slightly flavored. The tsukemen, as it was said to be seafood-based, had a broth, but the dipping sauce had a fishy smell that was still there and was salty. It also had a mysterious thickness to it, and it was really bad. By the way, both the cold Chinese noodles and the tsukemen were served with boiled chicken, not char siu. However, the restaurant was crowded, and it seems to be accepted by Germans. The taste is completely different from Japanese ramen, so I think Japanese people should be careful. By the way, in Germany, tipping is not often required when paying the bill, but this shop asked for a tip when I paid the bill. I was surprised that there was no option to choose between 10%, 15%, 20% or 5%. Again, this was not like Japan, which made me even more disappointed. You won't find this in Dusseldorf, where there is a Japanese town.

solid ramen place in mulackstrasse. they have one meat serving room and one where they only serve vegan ramen. tried the vegan one, their vegan meat alternative is really good. they have lunch deals.
