Lots of tourists, but also worthwhile for Hamburg residents because of the cuisine and rustic rooms.

The staff were incredibly friendly, and the ambiance was wonderful. A great place to enjoy a meal!

The food was excellent and the waiter was very nice and fun. The ambience was exceptionally good. You won't find it like this anywhere else. The location, right on the Michel, is perfect for taking a look at one of Hamburg's most beautiful buildings before eating.

We ate here on Saturday evening. The food was really tasty and the atmosphere was really great too. You could almost forget that you were in a restaurant. It felt like you were at Grandma's for dinner. Really nice! The service was very attentive and had a good touch of humor. Not too much but not too little either.

Food great, service good. It's narrow and unfortunately loud right next to the stairs. I constantly had the feeling that someone was walking over the table. Nevertheless we will come back.

A bit disappointed, as the anticipation was great. A long-established restaurant in Hamburg with a clocklike atmosphere. The welcome was warm. I made the reservation via OpenTable. With the Büsum crab soup I had to look for the crabs in the soup. There is more to the taste here too. I understand that crabs come at a price. With the pan fish in mustard sauce, the fried potatoes and the cucumber salad were very tasty, but the fish itself was fried too dry, so I didn't eat it all, which is rarely the case for me. When I ate the sorbet that followed, I had the feeling that it was made with gelatine. I know sorbet differently from how it feels in the mouth.

Super satisfied, without a reservation, we were seated immediately. If we're back in Hamburg we'll come back.

The Krameramtsstuben are located in a very narrow street that you have to enter through an almost inconspicuous gate. You almost walk past it if you're not careful. The alley and rooms have a cozy narrowness. I was invited for a large portion of leaf scows. Very interesting dish. Wikipedia says: Labskaus is a potato dish with beef and beetroot that is consumed in northern Germany, Norway, Denmark, Sweden. Have a good meal!

Definitely not enough stars. We only reserved for Tuesday instead of Sunday. Wasn't a problem at all. Very friendly and very pleasant atmosphere. Food and drinks were perfect. Definitely there again next time I visit Hamburg.

Extraordinary! The restaurant, the service and the food are simply extraordinary. The best place I have visited in Germany so far. The dishes are very large for a non-German person, so be careful about ordering a starter and main course for one person. We were two good eaters, and with only a starter and a main course (both to share) we had leftover food and we couldn't order dessert. We were left wanting to eat the chocolate cake, which also looked spectacular.

Bit of late post but better late than never. We visited this place in September last year and it was the best restaurant we visited during our stay in Hamburg. All the starters and meals we had between 5 of us were exceptional, really good quality food.The best schnitzel we've ever eaten! Really beautiful traditional interior / decor and nice historic location. The service we had was also exceptional , not sure if the guy still works there but it was the bald guy with the beard, what a character and comedian, he really made the experience that much more fun and enjoyable throughout the evening. 5 stars all round and would highly recommend this place to anyone who hasn't yet been.

We really wanted to eat Labskaus, when we got there it said on Google "nothing works without a reservation" - we were brave anyway and went in. We were lucky, it was busy, but someone didn't show up despite a reservation (at this point: thanks, Brudi!) and lo and behold, we got a table. It was really tasty and the atmosphere was really special!

No place without a reservation. Unfortunately they rely on walk-in customers. Only go there if you have reserved!!!!! Very “friendly” hint that the guests were all still coming, even though 80% of the restaurant was empty.

A nice romantic restaurant in the pleasant surroundings ( touristic place). I would advise to book in advance. There are tables both outside and inside. I ordered labskaus (starter) charged 10.50. Good taste, fair price. We order fish plate charged 28.00. The taste was average. What should be improved: bread from the house: such a greedy portion of stale bread. The service is good. I recommend this restaurant.

This restaurant is not far from “MICHEL”. In summer or when temperatures are warm you can sit outside. However, you also have to like the many tourists who just want to take a quick look around. But things look much better inside. You could also call it romantic. From the menu we chose LABSKAUS (as a starter = 10.90 €) and the "FISH PLATE KRAMERAMTSSTUBEN" (€28.90). First of all, there were small slices of white bread from the house that were almost dry or reminded me more of rubber (?). There was also a small dip, which was barely enough for two people. All of this can certainly be improved. The LABSKAUS was a success. The non-alcoholic beer was barely chilled, which should have been organized differently. The entrance to the toilets is outside. The toilets need renovation. A hook serves as a clasp. Nevertheless, I can recommend the visit. A reservation is recommended.

Insanely good fish dishes, fabulous service, we wish Hamburg was closer so we could eat there more often! The ambience is great too, you feel like you're walking into Diagon Alley, which is enhanced by the antique shop with fancy books at the beginning.

Cozy old rooms, beautifully old-fashioned and fortunately not barely modernized. The waiters were great, humorous and friendly. The beef roulade was dry, so only 3 stars for the food. But the fish portions looked delicious. I would like to come again.

We had a very nice dinner in this “hidden gem” of Hamburg. Came across on Google Maps coincidentally and we were amazed by the atmosphere of this place. Located in an inner passage from 17th century, this restaurant is a must visit place. Staff was also amazing, unusually welcoming for a similar place from our experiences before 🙂 Only negative side was that the fish was cooked a bit too greasy for our taste. Other than that, all perfect 💯

We visited this place for lunch and enjoyed everything: the food, the service and the atmosphere of the historic Hamburg backyard created a nice vibe for us, so we ate, rested and got lots of energy for the rest of our day in Hamburg. We especially liked the service: a waitress spoke well English, was friendly and helpful. We ordered traditional Hamburg options and they were well cooked for our taste. For a dessert we went with a goat cheese and it was delicious - didn’t expect that. They allow pets on a terrace.

I had no reservation on a Saturday at 17h but the waitress of the restaurant managed to find a table for me in the dining room. This is a very beautiful restaurant with a fantastic terrace in a small street. The food was good and the service very attentive and friendly. Very much recommended!

Food delicious, service puppet theater! I was seduced by the positive reviews. We got a table even without a reservation. Funny waiters, who has anything against that? The food was a long time coming, the waiter asked for patience as the order had apparently slipped. Everything is still OK. Unfortunately, the main course came straight away. The starter was forgotten. After mentioning it, we got it in the middle of the main course. Hooray! Although at the expense of the restaurant, but sorry, that's not the service I want. Then it's better to have a concentrated waiter who might make a few jokes less, but gets the job done. Or offer the mixed platter: various starters and main courses to share. Very expensive drink prices: €6 for 0.5l lemonade.

In dieser schmalen Gasse wurden wir von diesem tollen Restaurant mehr als überrascht. Wir wurden sehr freundlich bedient und das Essen war echt einheimisch! Die Atmosphäre in dieser Gasse und in diesen alten, sehr stilvoll und originalgetreu erhaltenen Häusern ist einmalig. Eine Reservation lohnt sich.

Well prepared good food, excellent atmosphere in a narrow cozy alley. We ate a meat dish and a fish dish, both were well composed and perfectly cooked to our liking. Everything tasted very good, the staff was nice. The atmosphere and feeling in the restaurant was the icing on the cake!

The location is very dignified. The service very good. I had Finkenwerder plaice with butter potatoes. Unfortunately the butter was forgotten, but was added upon request. I was missing a small salad with the dish, hence only 4 stars. The taste of the plaice was very good.

Tiene cocina típica de Hamburgo, sobretodo pescado, muy bueno y un buen lugar para conocer la gastronomía propia del lugar. Está en un callejoncito encantador y los camareros son súper amables y simpáticos. Sin duda un lugar con personalidad, con buen ambiente y buena comida. Nos sorprendió mucho el arenque para bien, realmente delicioso aunque fue un reto pedirlo ya que no estamos acostumbrados a este tipo de alimentos. Muy recomendable.

Lovely decor, local food was really good. The caesar salad dressing was the best I had in a long time. The roulade sauce was tasty and rich. Nice twist to put cinammon to the red cabbage. The best was our waiter Danjiel, super fun and efficient, he made our day. Thumbs up for him!!!

Yes, on July 2nd, 2024 my wife and I were in the Krameramtsstuben as part of our stay in Hamburg. I'll put it this way, if I could give 10 stars, I would, even 10 stars +. The meal, crab soup then beef roulade and finally chocolate cakes, without overdoing it, an explosion for the taste buds. Then the ambience is at its finest, rustic, cozy and simply beautiful. And also an important point, Daniel and Han are an EXTRA CLASS service team. Humorous, friendly, professional, simply sensational. The visit was a big highlight of our stay in Hamburg. If everything goes well, we'll be back in Hamburg, the most beautiful city in the world, for a few days in October, and then definitely back in the Krameramtsstuben. Many thanks again to Daniel and Han, you contributed significantly to this unforgettable evening. Thanks.

Came with my wife for dinner. A little out of the way. Tucked away but has sign on street to guide us. Situated inside an old house. Busy on a Thursday night. Recommend booking beforehand. Not a very big restaurant. The waiters were busy running up and down and not very attentive. The food was average. The fish we had was overcooked. Not sure I would come back.

This is a classic tourist trap. Excellent location, expensive and bad food. I ordered a fish dish: the fish was so dry i couldnt finish. As a side we got potatoes swimming in oil. As said didnt finish the meal and enjoyed stomach discomfort for the next 2h. I recommend avoiding. The wait staff was super nice, thus 2 stars otherwise would be 1. Edit: In response to the owners comment: I didnt finish my fish, neither did my partner. So thats that.

We came upon this place by happenstance. Looking to get away from the tourist insanity by the harbor. It's about a ten minute walk from the boat ride. Delicious food. We only order one meal . For us it was more than enough food for two. Nice atmosphere and good service. Make reservations. Well worth it.

The food in the Kamer Amtstuben is simple and rather traditional in Hamburg. There you can find Labskaus, Hamburg panfish and red grits. The ambience could be made more loving and authentic. I don't know how I thought of it, but I expected it to be a big place, but it wasn't. At the end of the small streets was the restaurant in a widow's apartment. The apartment feeling could be enhanced even further. Toilet is outside the restaurant. There is also seating outside. The food is home cooking, simple and unexciting.

Located a little back and hidden. A pearl of good gastronomy. I will gladly come again...
