KOI Sushi, Grill & Soup in Potsdam

The food was really good, but unfortunately the portions were very small. I ordered a rice curry and got maybe forty fifty grams of rice. Very little. During delivery, some food was missing at the edge and leaked. There were no chopsticks included when delivered, which is something I'm used to. Rounded up to just three stars. But I can't really recommend it.

This is the eighth time I've eaten here. It still amazes me every time. Delicious, very fair prices, super nice staff. Everything was very nicely presented and still very, very good. Thanks!

A beautiful Asian restaurant in the heart of Potsdam. The interior is very successful and puts you in the mood for a lovely evening. The large menu offers a very good selection of dishes, including a large selection of fresh sushi. The prices are fair and portions are appropriate. The service is incredibly friendly and attentive. If you want to enjoy fresh Asian cuisine in a beautiful ambience, this is the right place for you!

We have already tried different dishes here. Have been there about 10 times so far. So far everything has been very tasty, whether vegetarian or not. The food is beautifully presented and we have always found the staff to be friendly. We like coming here. Reservation is definitely recommended, depending on the time.

We love going to Koi! The food is always delicious, fresh and not expensive. The employees are very polite and courteous. In general we like to spend time at Koi, the atmosphere is very cozy. And it is definitely worth mentioning that there are many vegetarian dishes 🙂👍 See you soon :)

Very good food for a good price. Saturday at 9:30 p.m. we come to the restaurant. A few guests are still there, the evening is coming to an end. However, the kitchen is still open. The service is very friendly, fast and relaxed. We immediately feel comfortable! The food comes quickly and tastes great. Really recommended.

Food very good, service friendly, toilet not clean and too small

The restaurant is really beautifully decorated. That's why we wanted to try it. The service wasn't quite as attentive as I would have liked. The ordered food did not come to everyone at the same time and was not cleared away at the same time. The toilets are an imposition.

Dumplings were moldy and the sashimi still had skin on them

Go for lunch...I think 11.30 a.m. to 1.30 p.m. maximum 15€ with tip and the taste is simply delicious!

We ordered 2 drinks, Miso soup, sushi, small crispy rolls (shrimp) and a mixed sashimi. Food are great but I don't like tuna sashimi, it tastes not fresh indeed. Others are good. Clean toilets.😅

Food was very good (there were 10 of us). Service was ok. Could be proactive at the table though. Had to keep calling for repeat orders.

The food was great again, but my chicken skewers weren't quite cooked through.

Unfortunately, it proves itself again and again: an illustrated menu over 10 pages cannot be a good restaurant. Ordered lemongrass tea and various sushi. Summary: * Lemongrass tea was ok, if you had not only used large, diagonally cut pieces of the grass, but also squeezed them beforehand - e.g. in a garlic press - the taste would have been more intense. * Sushi rice with far too little rice vinegar. Therefore, all sushi is basically tasteless * Sushi rice itself - as some other reviewers have already noted - is not sticky in any way. So it wasn't possible to dip the nigiri into the bowl of soy sauce without it falling apart. * Maki were rolled so badly that they also "unrolled" * Tamago was just a hard set egg, no folding of the omelette multiple times, no sweetness - the egg has to be added with sugar. *The tuna was soapy and also tasteless * All nigiri are much too large so that they cannot be eaten in one sitting. I've noticed the last point with other nigiri in Potsdam. It seems necessary that the Mega-Schnitzel concept be applied here too. Ultimately a wasted evening with bad food. The restaurant itself was very full. I would therefore like to point out that the shaping of the sushi may have taken place under time pressure and that may be why the rice did not stick properly. However, the Tamago was definitely a complete disappointment. The service was very friendly and fulfilled my wish to occupy another table alone without any problems.

If you want to enjoy really great sushi — this is a place to come for it! Not our first time ordering here, and definitely not the last. Fish is always fresh , you can shove from different types of rolls for each taste. And you get a really big portion for a reasonable price. Atmosphere is really nice , if you have a wish to dine in, and if not — take out is always a choice. While I was waiting for my order to go to be finished, I was treated by a nice cup of green tea. Sure that’s a small thing, but it’s so nice! And this is what a great service is all about — nice small things.

A very pleasant restaurant with friendly service and beautiful Asian decoration. The selection of Vietnamese dishes and sushi is diverse and offers something for every taste. We particularly liked the fact that, in addition to the usual drinks, there was also lassi and homemade lemonade. The food came quickly and was of very good quality, fresh and tasty. The prices are absolutely reasonable for the quality offered. When the weather is good you can also sit outside, which makes the atmosphere even nicer. Overall, a recommendable place for a relaxed restaurant visit.

Very tasty restaurant with cute decor. Only 1 out of 4 of the staff spoke good German, but I forgive that since it is also an Asian restaurant. Unfortunately the location is inconvenient with the outside area as it is right on a busy street and there is little space outside. But since the food is very good, I definitely recommend it

A really great and lovingly furnished restaurant. I can only recommend the duck in curry coconut sauce. Lots of vegetables, great rice and the taste was just great. The wine selection was also very good. The service was great and always available to answer questions. We would love to come back and can only recommend the restaurant.

Went there on an early Saturday evening. I would definitely recommend making a reservation... Were welcomed very friendly and shown to the place. Drinks were brought shortly after ordering...very attentive and friendly service, always with a smile on your face. We ordered sushi and it was served quite quickly. Great to see, at the beginning there was a small "show" with dry ice...it was nice to see! The taste was very, very tasty! Clear recommendation!

Hi, Waren über das Pfingstwochenende in Potsdam und sind dort einen Abend ins Koi. Das Essen war grandios. Zwei von uns hatte warmes essen, eine Rind der andere Ente beides Klasse!!! Ich und eine weitere Person hatten das Sushi, welches exzellent war!!! Blick in die offene Küche war auch gut, denn alles super sauber!!! Leider nur Küche daher auch Punkteabzug... Der Boden im Restaurant klebte unter den Stühlen auch auf dem Klo. Preis war absolur fair. In Aachen bei uns in der Nähe kostet Sushi schon ein gutes Stück weit mehr...

I was there for the first time today with my mother. The service was very good and also the vegetarian sushi! The way the food was prepared was also really cool with the smoke 😊 It wasn't terribly overcrowded either. We'll definitely come back and try out the delicious menu!

We were struggling to find somewhere for a quick lunch but were delighted we came across Koi. Sat outside in the sun and had 2 very tasty and ample meat dishes full of a variety of tasty vegetables. With complementary tea. Very friendly service. 18 euros inc tip. Very good. Looked attractive inside for an evening meal.

Very tasty dishes, nice interior. Friendly, sometimes a bit overwhelmed staff. Usually very full, take your time and reserve in advance, especially on weekends.

Overall, the food was very good and came to the table within a few minutes despite the restaurant being full. The waitresses were very friendly. The atmosphere is cozy – with a slightly kitschy touch. The only thing I have to complain about is the salad among the wakame (seaweed). I found this to be disturbing in taste and unsuitable for the algae. I would have liked the wakame much better on their own.

Nice restaurant with very good food at absolutely fair prices. Finally no rip off!!! Unfortunately no terrace for the summer. And the employees are absolutely unique and a reason in themselves to visit.

I've eaten at Koi several times now and didn't want to miss the opportunity to finally share my experience. A small, very lovingly furnished restaurant. In summer with a nice terrace. This is located on the street, but again very lovingly prepared. The staff is very friendly and the food is always fresh and homemade. Price performance is simply unbeatable. Had sushi to go, Sushi Plate Birthday Bash (for 4 people). I don't know how this can be meant for 4 people. It's completely overpriced compared to the rest of the sushi. There are 48 pieces for 88 EUR, 18 of which are small maki. That's never enough for 4 people. Very unfortunate. Luckily we had 2 extra portions of maki. The sushi tasted good, although I am of the opinion that mayonnaise has no place in good sushi.

We were in this wonderful Korean/Japanese restaurant today and we are completely thrilled by this young team and their commitment and passion. Keep it up, we will definitely be back and we would recommend it 100%.

Nicht zu empfehlen mfg

Zwei Freunde und ich besuchten das Etablissement dort sehr spontan. Das Essen dort war super lecker und ist auf jeden Fall empfehlenswert. Der Service war freundlich, wenn er denn kam. Wir hatten leider keine Gelegenheit weitere Getränke zu bestellen oder auch auf die Rechnung mussten wir lange warten. Dennoch würde ich da aufgrund des Essens wieder hingehen.

Die Ausstattung absolut passend. Und sehr gemütlich. Die Gerichte und Getränke waren schön angerichtet und sehr lecker. Selbst die Bedienung war so nett und freundlich. Top Service! Einfach ein sehr schöner Abend. Absoluter Tipp wer Asiatisch & Sushi liebt !

Super lecker , hatten Sushi mit frischen Salat . Alle andere essen sahen auch sehr lecker aus , Preise sind auch völlig ok 👌🏻. Ich kann es nur empfehlen ! Besonders das Ambiente!!! Sehr hübsch gestaltet und man fühlt sich sehr wohl ! Ich komme wieder 😊

Super lecker und optisch perfekt angerichtet. Wir waren schon öfters dort essen. Die Qualität vom Fisch und den anderen Lebensmitteln ist ausgezeichnet. Personal im freundlich. Essen ist sehr schnell zubereitet und trotzdem optisch eine Freude.

Trotz eigentlich ausgebuchtem Restaurant wurde uns nach ca. 10 min ein Tisch angeboten. Zuvor wurde uns die Wartezeit im Vorraum mit einem Tee verkürzt. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Nach kurzer Zeit wurden Getränke und eine superschöne und leckere Sushiplatte serviert. Vielen Dank noch einmal für den tollen Service!

Wife said this was the best won ton soup she had ever had. I had the chicken and vegi's, and that was very good as well. Very recommended.

Das Essen war Grundsolide, aber nicht außergewöhnlich. Die Dekoration und Atmosphäre sehr liebevoll und angenehm, leider haben wir an einem Tisch im Gang gesessen und es war etwas ungemütlich, da ständig andere Gäste und das Servicepersonal an uns vorbei gelaufen ist.

Das Essen war vorzüglich, da kommt man doch gerne wieder :-)
