My Keng in Potsdam

We discovered the restaurant "My Keng" more or less "by chance" while strolling through the city center last weekend during our trip to Potsdam. We were drawn to the perfectly set tables with white tablecloths and fresh flowers...where else can you find something like that??? 👌😍 And we weren't disappointed by the food either; we were absolutely thrilled...super delicious sushi and a perfectly cooked salmon fillet on a bed of freshly prepared vegetables.... And finally, a big compliment to the very friendly and attentive staff 🙏💖 So we know where we'll be dining again on our next visit to Potsdam!!! 😋

I've been to this restaurant three times now and can only report positive things. The somewhat expensive dishes are justified, as the portions are generous, fresh, and the food is made with high-quality ingredients. The service is friendly and attentive, and the kitchen staff, who you can observe because the kitchen is open, are very welcoming and cook truly excellently. The ambiance is clean and harmonious. Since seating is extremely limited, reservations are not possible, but so far, even with up to five people this summer, I've always managed to get a seat without having to wait. From now on, this is my favorite Asian restaurant. 🤤

Lovingly and beautifully decorated (white tablecloths, fresh flowers, etc.), with friendly and attentive service. We felt very comfortable. The food was also delicious, the fish was very fresh and plentiful, and the plates were very attractive. The kitchen is open, which further inspires trust.

The ambiance was good as always, the service was very friendly and courteous, as well as attentive, and the food was delicious and plentiful. Only the prices seemed a bit overpriced for tourists. However, my baked roll (tempura) was also larger than elsewhere, so I couldn't even finish the maki. The drinks were also quite expensive.

I ordered food for pickup. The food was ready quickly, the meat (duck) and the wontons were really good. The presentation was also very nice. However, the noodles, salad, and sauces were completely unsuitable. The sauces weren't my thing at all; they were too sour and bitter. I didn't understand why the salad was lukewarm between the noodles and meat, and I didn't think it was Asian-style either, as it consisted of tomatoes and arugula. I ate the meat and wontons (also because the sauce, thankfully, just sloshed around at the bottom like water), but with all due respect, I could only poke around in the salad and noodles a little. The starter and main course cost €40, so it wasn't cheap, and I ended up throwing away a good 50%. All in all, it was a bit of a disappointment, after all the positive reviews. The service wasn't friendly either, but it was also busy and very fast.

The food was delicious and filling. There's a very large selection of gin and other spirits.

My absolute favorite restaurant in Potsdam! Always fresh, always excellent, and incredibly delicious! Highly recommended. The price is a bit on the high side, but it's completely justified. You rarely find such high-quality food. The service is also very friendly and attentive. You can watch the food being prepared in the open kitchen.

One of the best restaurants in this area. Super clean and everything fresh. I think it's some of the best Vietnamese food I've ever had. The restaurant manager is cool. Unfortunately, there was a construction site right outside during our visit.

Every time I come to Potsdam, I visit this restaurant at least once; it's my absolute favorite! Very friendly and attentive service, a perfectly coordinated ambiance, and the food is of incredible quality!

Fantastic food and good service

Unfortunately, we can't and don't want to afford this restaurant anymore. The menu is very slimmed down, but the prices have risen considerably. Award-winning restaurants are only for the rich and famous. For years, "normal" people were welcome. Now they're relegated to the second, if not third, tier. It's a shame, but there are other Asian restaurants on Brandenburger Straße where the value for money and hospitality are good. I can't recommend my keng.

Therefore, it's not really a negative point. "Sushi for two" is especially recommended. A sufficient sushi platter for two people.

Potsdam is always worth a visit. While strolling through the pedestrian zone, you'll find this restaurant, among others, with a Gault Millaut rating! Stop in! Enjoy the selection and let the attentive and friendly staff serve you delicious dishes. Try the Igwer tea... This restaurant deserves its reputation! It should also be noted that you can order online and pick up on-site. Unfortunately, I have to revise my first impression somewhat. The quality of the food is still good, but unfortunately, it doesn't match the selection advertised on the menu (see photo). So check it out right away. You should also check the bill right away – there could be discrepancies between the bill and the credit card charge. Perhaps just an oversight, but we will avoid this restaurant in the future.

Very friendly service, I always enjoy going there. The portions are generous, but you can take them with you if you can't make it. The homemade drinks are also incredibly delicious.

My dad said we should eat at My Keng. And what can I say? Thank you Dad and thank you My Keng! I haven't eaten such incredibly delicious Vietnamese and Asian food in a long time. Everything was just really good. A clear recommendation: the Wan Tan Chien. Absolutely amazing as a starter. Then came the main courses and although expectations were already high, they were exceeded. Tender meat, crunchy vegetables and very tasty. And even though we were already stuffed, we had to try the baked bananas with vanilla ice cream. It was the right decision. The vanilla ice cream was simply incredibly good. Definitely try it. Thank you for this great food, the relaxed atmosphere and the very nice staff! We'll definitely be back!

We went to the restaurant for the first time today and were really impressed. The food was excellent and portions were very large. Big compliments to the chefs!!!

The journey from Berlin to Potsdam is worth it. Unfortunately reservations are not possible. This means that you can expect some waiting time during peak times.

Had a spontaneous meal today. After a short wait, 5 people were quickly seated. The food came very quickly and was prepared with lots of good, fresh salads and vegetables. Extremely delicious. A portion of sushi will definitely fill you up here, as the rolls are large and the fish content is also very good. The duck was very pink, tender and juicy.

The atmosphere is modern and cozy, and the staff was very friendly and attentive right from the start. Excellent food in a lovely atmosphere and very courteous service. We were lucky with 6 people without a reservation - there was just one table left. Ate a mixed bag of pho, sushi and udon. Food is super fresh, large portions. Gladly again!

popped in for a cute little lunch, the food was so good. i got the mango salad, expecting a small portion with maybe a few pieces of salmon, but instead im treated with this massive plate of beautifully garnished salmon on top of the salad (picture doesn’t do it justice) highly recommended

The food is always flawless and a pleasure, but given the price it is reasonable to expect that. Visited several times over a somewhat longer period of time, unfortunately I don't like the change in ambience in terms of seating etc., it has always been a bit narrower but somehow it's getting worse and worse. Service is okay, nothing worth mentioning, so not mindblowing good or bad.

I was completely thrilled! The food was simply fantastic – fresh, aromatic and authentic. The service was extremely friendly and attentive without being intrusive. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, perfect for a relaxed evening or a special meal with friends or family. The price-performance ratio is marginal but still acceptable as the food tastes really good. We are here regularly and will definitely come back! A real highlight for all lovers of Asian cuisine. Food was great.....it tasted very good..... Duck was crispy...starters really too expensive...so you just order the main course. At 24 € it's already a good price... Ambiente seats are broken and very hard and uncomfortable... perhaps spice up with cozy cushions. The kitchen is cleaned... with gloves and lemons are then cut with these... Wow, that's not possible

A really good Asian-style restaurant. You can find flavors there that you wouldn't know otherwise. Especially with ginger tea. The service was quick and helpful. The kitchen looked clean and well maintained. The restaurant is located right in the city center.

Whow - we found out about this little restaurant more by chance. We had to wait a bit because it was already full early in the evening - but that was sweetened with a ginger tea on the house to warm us up - and it was an immediate taste explosion. Although the specialty here is certainly more in the sushi area (which looked excellent and you can watch it being prepared) we decided on duck with red curry and were more than thrilled. Really an experience and is clearly different from other well-known Thai restaurants in terms of taste, freshness, the high quality of the ingredients, the degree of doneness, the crispiness of the duck and, last but not least, the language on the plate... A clear recommendation from us. Thank you again for the highlight of our stay in Potsdam!

Depending on the food, really good to well. Prices for drinks are unbelievable in my world. Clearly overrated for me. Atmosphere like in a train station.

The restaurant offers a great ambience with good service. The food is mediocre and therefore too expensive. The duck was rubbery, as if it had been in the steamer all the time. No crust! No roasted aromas. Some of the side dishes were second-rate: I include lamb's lettuce and canned corn on the cob. This has nothing to do with Asian cuisine.

The food is great, unfortunately you often can't get a seat because it's very small.

The restaurant is nice, the food is great, the service is friendly... I've been there several times...but yesterday I was verbally attacked after ordering by the male/female waiter with black-painted fingernails and tinsel on his left ear because his colleague had already taken the order and he had obviously lost track. When he settled the bill, he couldn't articulate himself and tell me the final amount...at first it should have been 65, then only 45 euros for 2 people...it seemed to me as if this gentleman was still on drugs or simply incompetent Don't know how courteous waiters in other restaurants should serve guests. It's a shame, but I won't invite my friends to eat there anymore.

A very nice, fast and attentive crew who are always friendly even in the most stressful times. The food is very good and fresh, with sushi and a Thai accent.

Although the sushi (menu for 1) is quite expensive and almost only contains salmon (along with fried shrimp and a tuna), it was very, very tasty. And a very large portion. Friendly service.

We have unanimous praise for this delicious meal. It's a treat and a beautiful sight when the food is brought out. The combinations of the individual components are very well coordinated. If you love this food, you're in good hands here. After a year, I have to add that it's not just the prices that have changed. We meet here once a year and I think the restaurant has deteriorated. The staff is not very attentive and so there are misunderstandings. Unfortunately, there is no longer any coriander to eat here either.
