Knossos Palast in Potsdam

This is something for meat lovers. Great service, we really enjoyed it.

Great ambience and nice to see what has been done with the house. Hasn't been there for decades. Attentive and extremely friendly service. Rich and tasty starter and also delicious grilled plates for the main course. But here only 4 points because, on the one hand, fried potatoes were served (rice noodles would have been nicer -> but you could certainly have ordered them as an alternative) and on the other hand, I was still missing that little piece of WOW. Solid and good Greek restaurant with decent food, great ambience and great service. Thanks for that...

A very pleasant quiet place on a Saturday afternoon. The menu is very extensive and what we found to be extremely positive was that small portions of almost all dishes could be ordered. This meant we didn't have an overflowing plate, but we were able to eat everything without almost bursting or throwing food away. The food was very tasty, typically Greek. The staff was also very friendly and attentive. The toilets, accessible via stairs, were very clean and smelled very pleasant.

Everything went great, my daughter was thrilled. The food was very tasty 😋 we will definitely come back when we visit the corner.

The gyro was juicy and crispy at the same time. The tzatziki was a dream and there were not the usual fries but Greek noodles or garlic or rosemary potatoes. My husband had lamb baked with cheese - perfect. The service was super nice, quick and attentive. Highly recommended (and I don't actually like going out for Greek food).

We have often enjoyed dinner here after excursions. A great restaurant with staff who really make an effort to make you feel good. 🙂 What we have of course noticed are the price increases, which are considerable compared to other restaurants, but certainly not an unusual phenomenon in the suburbs of Berlin. 😉 We will definitely come back and it will remain a permanent stop for us.

5 stars – highly recommended! Knossos in Potsdam is a real highlight for everyone who loves Greek food! The atmosphere is super cozy and authentic, you immediately feel welcome. The service was attentive, friendly and quick – exactly what you would expect. The food was simply excellent: fresh, lovingly prepared and tasted great. The grill platter for two in particular was a real feast - everything was cooked to perfection and served with great side dishes. The starters were also delicious and traditional. Plus an ouzo on the house – the perfect way to round off the evening. Price-performance ratio is definitely right here. I would love to come back – a piece of Greece in Potsdam!

Service was top and they were attentive. The staff also had fun with our 10 month old Junior. In terms of space and atmosphere it was very beautiful there. High prices. I give the food a grade of 2. Overall, we were very satisfied.

I had the grill plate with garlic potatoes. Was delicious. The only small complaint was that the minced meat was a bit dry and therefore "crumbly". Service 2 stars, because the friendliness of the "food delivery person", well, wasn't that great and that at lunchtime 🫣😏. Regardless, not every day is the same. As I said, the food was delicious.

That's a really great Greek. You feel like you are on vacation in Greece. The boss and the entire staff are very friendly, almost familiar. It's a shame that they had to close Knossos again - because of Corona. I would like to thank you for all the beautiful evenings where we always went home happy and in a good mood. The food and the entire atmosphere are highly recommended. When it hopefully opens again, go here - you'll be amazed. Thank you - hang in there!!!

Staff really attentive and very polite. The second visit to this restaurant after a change of operator, same dish this time, salad in advance, now costs extra and the portions have unfortunately shrunk. Positively surprised at the first visit and unfortunately not so great at the second

After all the good reviews we went to Knossos today too. 21€ for a bit of gyros with a lot of onions, a little tzatziki and a lot of pressed garlic on the potatoes is not a good price-performance ratio, but a very lasting mouth experience in terms of garlic intensity. Still burping even though we avoided eating the pure garlic on the potatoes.

We used to eat here often, as the restaurant was within walking distance. Unfortunately, the service, and especially the friendliness, has suffered rapidly in recent years. The food has become increasingly scarce and expensive. There's also little sign of Greek hospitality left. The servers are very moody, perhaps even overwhelmed. You immediately notice when the place is full that you're just being served quickly. We've since moved to another Greek restaurant in the city center. It's a shame, really, because we used to really enjoy this place.

Wow we were really excited.....10 years ago...or 15 years a real disaster....now...super great warm cozy Ambience...a super fast service..... There has never been an ouzo on the table so quickly.The food is great...delicious....A starter with olives...That was a huge plate.... Toilets are clean....everything is perfect.....Price and performance are right.... We'll be back Ines and Dietmar

Very nice atmosphere with pitfalls. Most of the fresh flowers distributed in the restaurant had dried up. Despite stating the reason for the visit, neither the table nor the staff were prepared. The Greek music was constantly playing at an intrusive volume. The fully automatic coffee machine at the counter disrupted our conversation several times with its loud grinder. Excellent food, for which the four of us had to wait 50 minutes. 2 main courses were served 10 minutes before the other two main courses - and without any side dishes. The restaurant's occupancy was very low with two more tables to be served and a few people picking up their own food. The staff present could not convey to us that we were welcome as guests. Nobody smiled there. A guest's refusal to ask for another drink ("drink?") meant that the other guests were no longer asked.

This place has become my favorite restaurant in potsdam! I love the friendly reception, excellent food and welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommended!

Nice staff, great food, no question. But prices have risen significantly over the last few years and portions have become smaller. As an alternative to other Greek restaurants, it's okay.

I'm really conflicted about this restaurant. We were there with a larger group (of course with a reservation). Drink orders were taken quickly, but it took a full 30 minutes to be served - and then some were missing or incorrect. The food orders were then taken, but nothing happened for two hours after that. Finally the starters and a main course arrived - although from a different table which ended up with us, which made the chaos perfect. A guest from another group then had to wait another whole 40 minutes for his food before he could finally eat. For us it also took that long again. The food itself was average, nothing special and a bit overpriced for my taste. The drink prices were also quite high. All in all, the visit was okay, but the waiters urgently need training in service.

The restaurant is ideally located in Potsdam Bornim. Hospitality is very important and you immediately feel at home. The menu is clearly laid out and the quality of the food is very good. I live 45 km away, but I already know that we will go there again for dinner.

A nice restaurant, friendly service, but the food is very garlicky, so too much garlic that it no longer tastes good. On the whole, the food was ok, but unfortunately the prices weren't justified. The pepper dominated the rosemary potatoes and not the rosemary...

The food is really good. We as a family have enjoyed our meal here several times and have been so full. The staff is friendly and loves children. If you have time, joke with them without being intrusive. Children's coloring cards are also available. That was great while waiting for the food. The prices are completely ok. Definitely not too much for these portions. The atmosphere is friendly and bright. Huge outdoor patio. All in all -> We'll definitely be back!!!

Exceptionally attentive service! Our friendly waitress, her name is Nida, looked after us lovingly with a lot of humor, really great!!! Addendum: The team at “Knossos Palace” is very accommodating. Even after visiting this beautiful, cozy Greek restaurant several times (especially after the renovation), we can only say that they were wonderful evenings. The food tastes very good, the prices (we ALL know the current problems in the catering industry that are not our own fault) are absolutely fair for Potsdam! Unfortunately, being served courteously is no longer normal, but it is here! A visit to this beautiful restaurant, with great, friendly service, is definitely worth it!!!

A wonderful trip for the whole family! We visited the Knossos Palais in Potsdam with our children and were absolutely thrilled! The architecture and the ambience are impressive - a little piece of Greece in the middle of Potsdam. The children had a lot of fun exploring the facility and were fascinated by the colorful decorations and statues. The highlight for us was the relaxed and child-friendly atmosphere. There is enough space for little ones to move around freely and the staff were incredibly friendly and patient with the children. We were also impressed by the food: delicious Mediterranean dishes that our children also enjoyed - especially the fresh pita bread and the ice cream for dessert

From the reception to the quality of the food, hospitality, cleanliness and attentiveness, you can't beat it. Super!!
