The ambience is very modern and appealing, whether inside or outside. Everything has been done very elegantly. You can fill yourself up here... The prices are in the slightly higher segment, but for what you get, they're perfectly fine. Price-performance ratio is very good. We were extremely happy, the descent from the motorway was totally worth it! PS: With your own parking: very good!

Unfortunately, our visit to KNOSSOS was a mixed experience that was overall rather disappointing. The evening started positively with a very tasty aperitif, which was really successful. We also really liked the table that we had right on the Lahn with a great view. The restaurant was recommended to us by friends and we ourselves were guests at a larger birthday party there. We had a lovely afternoon and everything went smoothly. Unfortunately the service that evening (wedding day) left a lot to be desired. The starter was carelessly prepared and hardly looked good. The main course was then even forgotten and only arrived after waiting for over an hour and after repeated requests. To make matters worse, the meat on one grill plate wasn't cooked properly and had to go back to the kitchen. The result of this: My wife and I ate at separate times. At least one of us always had time to follow the hustle and bustle on the Lahn. Unfortunately, the drinks that were served to us with our meal were also the wrong ones. On a positive note, the quality of the food served again was significantly better once the problem was addressed. Nevertheless, this can only partially compensate for the previous inconveniences. Mistakes are human and can happen, but I expect them to be handled more professionally. As a gesture of goodwill, they would have had various options to accommodate us. However, the waiters did not take advantage of this opportunity. Overall, unfortunately, it was an adequate to poor experience that fell well short of expectations. There is still room for improvement. The three stars overall are only there because the birthday party was so successful.

I ordered a table at the beginning of the week. We were treated very kindly when we asked where we would like to sit. The mixed starter plate was excellent, as were the fish and meat dishes. The Knossos is beautifully located on the Lahn. The menu is very extensive and offers some delicious specialties. We had a large mixed starter plate which was very filling and well presented. The service is exceptionally attentive and friendly. We would like to come again.

You are used to quality and service in Knossos. But the Knossos 2.0 is outstanding in every respect. Stunningly beautiful and elegant. However, it has lost nothing of its coziness and welcome atmosphere.

The 5 stars are not enough... I would give 7 stars for the food, ambience and especially service... a real short vacation!!!

In terms of price, this restaurant is definitely above average. However, this restaurant impresses with its really good quality. It starts with the arrival. The restaurant has its own parking lot despite the very good location right on the water. This ensures a relaxed arrival. Even before you order, you can see the other guests' plates. Incredibly beautifully presented dishes. A highly recommended restaurant. What is particularly noteworthy is that, despite the restaurant being full, there was never a feeling as if the service staff were stressed. Everything went smoothly and stress-free. You could enjoy your stay in complete peace and relaxation.

Pleasant atmosphere and you feel comfortable among your peers. The price-performance ratio was also okay. I think almost 150 per person is actually okay, it's not a McDonald's or a low-income locale. That Restaurant Knossos in Giessen is a culinary experience for the elite. The ambience is so pleasant that you almost forget that you are in a restaurant and not an exclusive club for the wealthy. Here you really feel at home among your own kind. So, bring your best friends with you, because the likelihood that you will meet someone here who doesn't have at least one of their own yachts is extremely low. Price-performance ratio? Well, I would say it's absolutely fine! After all, just under 150 per person is a bargain considering you're not eating at a McDonald's or a low-income eatery. After all, we're not here for fun, we're here to surround ourselves with the rich and famous and enjoy the feeling that you get something for your money, such as the opportunity to discuss the latest trends in haute cuisine while you stare at your plate and wonder whether it's really a piece of meat or a work of art. The location is very nice and cozy. However, the service is unsatisfactory. We had reserved a table for 12.30 p.m. It took forever before we could order drinks let alone food. The drinks were empty and no waiter came to take new orders. The main courses arrived gradually from 2.30 p.m., dessert wasn't even offered. The food was ok, nothing special except the price, which is particularly high. Unfortunately, the price-performance ratio is not right here at all. It's a shame, we won't be coming back and can't recommend it.

Exceptional Greek restaurant. I haven't experienced anything comparable. Forget everything you have eaten in German Greek restaurants (I don't mean to devalue the typical Greek restaurants, I love eating there too) and let yourself be enchanted here. The food, the ambience and last but not least the service are all of the highest quality.

We were there for dinner. Very chic and tasteful ambience from the architecture to the gardens to the restaurant furnishings and lighting. The audience is a “society” adapted to the ambience. Our table was on the beautiful terrace directly on the Lahn. The staff was dressed in typical local clothing, very friendly and very attentive at the beginning of our visit. Unfortunately, after the food was served, no one came to ask for drinks. We had a mixed starter platter: everything was really tasty. Extremely delicious. Unfortunately the main courses couldn't keep up the standard. The "Mix Grill" platter was ok, but it's also available at every other Greek restaurant. The "Kalamari" were on the grill for too long and were therefore a bit tough. The vegetables and fresh spinach served with it are not worth mentioning. The rump steak was on point and fine. The Cretan noodles “Skioufichta” were tasty but not original either. Overall, it was still a lovely evening, almost like you were on holiday. Top ambience, very hospitable, reasonable prices, food average with outliers.

A very nice restaurant with extremely tasty food, but the service left a lot to be desired. Despite reservations, we had to wait almost an hour for the card (!). A starter and bread that we ordered didn't come at all, but the starter was already on the bill...thank God we noticed that ourselves!!! I don't feel like going to restaurants like that anymore! It's a shame because the food was very tasty 😋!

A very good address for a business lunch. Excellent food, the terrace directly overlooking the Lahn. The interior is also very nice. The service is okay, but at lunchtime when it's busy, it can sometimes be a bit abrupt due to the busyness. At a restaurant like this she should still be more accommodating. If there was an option to give more than five stars, this restaurant would definitely deserve it! Incredibly delicious food, amazing service and wonderful ambience. Amazed by the selection and taste, we could simply not get enough. The octopus and the desserts, a must try! The cocktails, a perfect mix! Whatever you choose, you will experience a remarkable fusion of flavors.

The restaurant itself is totally inviting both from the outside and inside. You will receive a very friendly welcome, all the waiters and waitresses will always treat you courteously, answer every question and respond to any special requests. Any dietary restrictions will be clarified with the chef. The skewers and drinks are all very high quality. Everything we have eaten here so far has been extremely tasty. It's nice to see what Greek cuisine has to offer here. I would particularly like to emphasize how well children are treated here. The children get a snack and are allowed to move around freely in the restaurant, which is unfortunately no longer a given these days. A really excellent restaurant here you feel like you are at friends' home. We are thrilled and Knossos is definitely one of our favorite restaurants.

In my opinion, the Knossos in Gießen is highly overrated and disappointing in taste. I have been served cold food several times and noticed that unfinished food is simply thrown away even though it should be wrapped. It seems to be more of a place for show and self-expression rather than a place with quality food and service

Hier sind die Kellner Könige und ich fühle mich geduldet. Natürlich ist das Ambiente toll und das Essen sehr gut, aber trotz Reservierung bekamen wir keinen Platz auf der Terrasse. Auch beim wiederholten Male kamen wir uns wie Bittsteller vor, die, um einen schönen Platz zu bekommen, nicht der richtigen Society angehören. Wir geben jetzt auf. Es gibt ja noch andere gute Restaurants in Gießen, die Gäste zu schätzen wissen.

Here the waiters are kings and I feel tolerated. Of course the ambience is great and the food is very good, but despite reservations we couldn't get a seat on the terrace. Again and again we felt like supplicants who didn't belong to the right society in order to get a nice place. We give up now. There are other good restaurants in Giessen that guests appreciate.

We were at Kossos in the evening for a celebration with around 15 people. We had two starter plates and then food a la carte. Everything was very appealing and, according to the statement, very tasty. The service was exemplary. The ambience is classy.

The food was very good, but the service was a bit slow at first. Drinks were requested relatively late.

The service was good, everyone who served us was very friendly and polite. The ambience itself is beautifully designed (in the main room). We sat in the winter garden, but unfortunately it wasn't that pleasant there. After some guests had left, it was really cold there. I had to put on my jacket. Nevertheless, the ambience has nothing to do with a Greek restaurant. It doesn't have to be with columns here and there... but there was nothing that reminded me of Greece, except for the music. The food was also quite tasty but unfortunately not justified for such a high price. Unfortunately, price/performance doesn't match. I'm happy to pay €100 or more per person, but everything should be fine. Potential is there.

Great ambience and very good service. The staff tried hard, but not intrusively. The food and drinks delicious. There is a large selection, especially of fish, and a good wine list. We'd love to come back.

The Knossos is a restaurant as you wish. The service is nice and friendly, they even respond to requests. If a request is not possible, a counter-suggestion comes straight away. The prices are completely reasonable for the portion size, quality and taste. My personal recommendation will be this restaurant from now on. I do have one small negative point, when I eat tzatziki I want to be overwhelmed by a note of garlic (just a personal opinion) and not such a gentle note, with the bad breath afterwards I want to melt glass bottles, but it doesn't work that way.

The food was definitely not appropriate for the price. I've actually never had such a bad, overcooked fish soup with potatoes. It was also oversalted, just like the Greek salad. I won't go there again, after trying it several times I'm now completely done with it.

I've been here a few times recently, always in a professional context and always in a group. I really like the new modern atmosphere. The location is large, but not loud. Everything worked very well. The last time, unfortunately, the small meat skewers from the appetizer platters that we received were not at all edible: they were hard and couldn't be eaten off the skewers. A pity. Saganaki and fish dishes tasted very good.

We were there for the first time after the renovation yesterday, unfortunately the charm has disappeared and there are some differences between expectations and reality: The table inside was broken and wobbly, according to the staff it would take too long to repair and there were no other tables, soup or steak could not be consumed at such a table. The wine glass was broken and had a chip. The appetizer was cleared before I was finished, the waiter didn't ask, came to the table and had my plate in his hand, there was still food on the plate... The menus were not disinfected and were passed from one customer to another, probably not according to the hygiene concept. Wir sind von Frankfurt aus zum Essen nach Giessen gefahren. Es hat sich wirklich gelohnt. Essen sehr lecker. Der Käse mit Feigensenf war "wow" lecker (: Wir hatten zu viert unterschiedliche Speisen und waren alle voll zufrieden. Der Service war freundlich. Ein kleines Manko ist allerdings die kleine Karte. Und mit fehlte als Vorspeise eindeutig meine gebratenen Paprika (einer meiner MUSS Speisen beim Griechen). Ansonsten sehr zu empfehlen und wir kommen bestimmt wieder.

Ein etwas anderes griechisches Restaurant. Hier setzt man nicht auf Masse sondern Qualität. Tolle Weine und feine mediterrane Gerichte. Gerne wieder ins Programm genommen.

Schon mehrmals besucht und immer wieder war es einfach nur lecker & gemütlich. Service total aufmerksam und freundlich, Essen super lecker und schön angerichtet. Das Ambiente ist total schön. Freuen uns jetzt schon wieder im Sommer das Knossos zu besuchen :)

Schwierig, denn es ist nicht erkennbar, für was der Laden stehen soll. Soll es ein Griechisches Restaurant sein? Ist wahrscheinlich der einzige Grieche wo kein Gyros auf der Karte steht.Ich erwarte zudem ein gemütliches Restaurant mit ordentlichen Portionen. Mit Ouzo wird ebenfalls gegeizt. Alles was man von einem Griechen erwartet findet man dort nicht. Es gibt viel Fisch auf der Karte, also sollte man vielleicht den Namen des Restaurants ändern und es würde besser passen. Das Essen ist zwar schmackhaft, aber eher kleine Portionen und eher teuer. Die Räumlichkeiten wirken wie eine Großraumkantine und kommen einer Schicki Micki Halle gleich. Man nimmt klapperndes Geschirr wahr und fühlt sich auch aufgrund der Lautstärke eher unbehaglich. Mein Fazit, es ist kein Desaster wenn man dort essen geht, weil die Speisen durchaus schmackhaft und auch ansehnlich angerichtet sind. Mein Ding ist es eben nicht, weil es meine Erwartungen von einem griechischen Restaurant nicht erfüllt.

Knossos ist mein absolutes Lieblings Restaurant. Die Bedingungen sind immer sehr freundlich und zuvorkommende. Hier ist der Kunde wirklich König. Hat man besondere Wünsche, wie z.B. einen Blumenstrauß, für einen speziellen Anlass, so setzt das Team diese mit Freude um. So etwas gibt es wirklich selten. Das Essen ist hervorragend, mehr gibt es dazu nicht zu sagen. Mein Favorit ist die Mixed Grill Platte. Das Ambiente ist modern und sehr schick. Unterm Strich jedes Mal eine positive Erfahrung gewesen!
