Very tasty food, especially the salmon. But the whole fun is also quite expensive. The atmosphere was nice and cozy.

It was our first time eating here. The food “steak” was excellent! We haven't had such good service in a long time!! We will be back!

The first thing that convinces you as soon as you arrive at the restaurant is the extremely cozy atmosphere, even though it is located in the middle of the city center. The service was very courteous and attentive. The food was served quickly and hot and was extremely tasty. The dessert took a little longer but still impressed with its excellent taste. Highly recommended👍🏻

Fresh selected ingredients. Aged beef provides a good basis. Our T-Bone Steak 900g would have needed a little longer on the grill. It's a shame but otherwise good.

Unfortunately not recommended. You are ignored, cutlery is forgotten and the quality of the meat was subpar.

I have to honestly say it was very tasty, I ate the plockhaus salad and the dressing was excellent. The service was also very friendly.

We went to the Plockhaus for the first time at the weekend and my parents especially love this restaurant. This is very unusual as they rarely praise restaurants, but the service and steaks were impressive. They have decided that this will now be our go-to restaurant in Giessen.

Fish, steak, wine - fits! We've been there a few times and each time we enjoyed it and enjoyed it. The atmosphere is great and both the fish and the steaks are really good. The aging cabinet for the meat is something special, and the wine selection matches the dishes. Service is also good, so: we'll go there again!

The main course was really very good... side dishes too... you can just leave out the potatoes/chips (you'll still definitely be full)... but the dessert was excellent. The ambience was very appealing... but I felt that the tables were placed too close together. Otherwise, a really great recommendation for a delicious meal.

Always very tasty fresh cuisine with perfect service!

There were four of us eating and drinking there today... We each drank a glass of wine and ate an appetizer platter together that only had a little carpaccio and a burrata on it. We left over €100 there, which is totally overpriced! The service wasn't really attentive and the food wasn't particularly good either! We gave a tip, which we later regret. In addition, the atmosphere was a bit like a shisha bar, which I personally don't prefer for a cozy evening in the restaurant. In summary, the store is not really recommended.

Very pleasant atmosphere and design of the restaurant. The food was excellent, grilled sea bass with vegetables and spaghetti with shrimp, both delicious! Service was very professional and yet personal, so no artificial fuss, which really impressed me! Next time dry aged beef! Thank you for the lovely evening after visiting the theater!

Went to the Plockhaus restaurant for the first time this evening. First contact when making a reservation by phone: super friendly and efficient. Great menu, good wines and very professional and competent service. Had a fish and a pasta dish. Delicious! We recommend. We'll test the steaks on our next visit because what we saw in the maturing cabinet looked very tempting. Really an enrichment of the Giessen gastronomy scene!

A new star in the sky of Giessen gastronomy. It's probably not enough for a Michelin star, but there is a lot of potential in the Plockhaus.

Had a nice beef fillet with fries and a tiramisu for dessert. Both were very tasty. Unfortunately a bit small and the tables are really too close together. You should definitely make a reservation in advance, unfortunately it's a bit difficult to come spontaneously because it's not that big. Definitely coming back 👍🏻

It was my first time at the Plockhaus, which, as far as I know, only opened a few months ago and wanted to share my impressions. Eat: - Ribeye steak: absolutely amazing, best dish of the evening, perfectly prepared - dry aged T-bone steak: unfortunately it was easy to cook, even though the same level as the rib-eye was requested - grilled octopus: the octopus itself was very good, the grilled taste was excellent, but unfortunately there was a little too little salt Service: There were several small things to complain about in terms of service, which unfortunately added up to a rather negative overall impression. 1) First of all, it took almost 40 minutes from the time we entered the restaurant until we got the menu, but we were still asked twice for a drink order. 2) After ordering we got bread (which tasted fantastic by the way). Only there were no plates set, which is usually the case, which is why bread crumbs were spread over the table and then never wiped away. 3) When a table next to us was being cleaned up, the employee simply wiped the crumbs and other leftover food from the table onto the floor. 4) a vegetable order was forgotten (which is not a problem in itself, everyone makes a mistake sometimes) but the dish was served after 3 minutes, unfortunately not completely cooked and comparably worse than our companion who had the dish prepared correctly. I wish they had just taken a little more time instead of sending it out of the kitchen as quickly as possible. 5) etc. I hope these impressions can help offer better service in the future, as I really enjoyed the food overall.

The food was very good, the service, well. Food was there, sauce was brought about 10 minutes later after you asked where it was. Dessert took about 30 minutes to be brought. The waitress was great. She then took it into her hands so that we could get our food/dessert. Price wise... Is okay. Will come again.

The restaurant "Plockhaus" in Giessen, located on Plockstrasse, is known for its excellent steaks. Guests regularly praise the quality and taste of the meat, which is prepared with great care. The cozy atmosphere and friendly service round off the culinary experience. A must for steak lovers in the region.

We tested the restaurant for the first time last week based on a recommendation. Service is generally good. But there's just something missing for 5 stars. The same applies to the food. Fish 🐟 everything was great. The meat eaters were probably not that happy, but I can't say anything about that. I came to eat fish. About my food: Carpaccio if you have good meat, please think about it. Whether you don't just want to knock it. I don't think there's anything special about cutting down the frozen rolls. And if so, let it stand longer so that it gets to temperature. Pulpo arms with garlic and spaghetti: I can't say anything, it was just as good as it was. Maybe I would have liked a higher quality pasta. Cheese plate: Unfortunately, the service couldn't tell me what would be on the plate, except Parmesan. It was so well. Unfortunately I wouldn't order it again. And please, this applies to all dishes. Please leave out the fruit. A piece of strawberry, pineapple or whatever simply has no place there. And the statement from the service is because of the color. NO. leave it out and have more of it. I hope I could help. We will have to come again 😉

Pleasant atmosphere in a nice ambience. Very good food with high quality. Friendly service, gladly again...

The food was consistently good, the service staff seemed overwhelmed, one after the other brings the food and drinks and of course has to ask who had what. And the food came uncoordinated. It wasn't full but 10 minutes to pay is too long. In addition, the only thing that ticks a tick is not enough chilled bottled beer. Somehow things weren't going well that evening. Ambiance is tasteful.

We were there for lunch with a larger group. Very courteous service, modern and chic furnishings. We ordered a side salad, the 200g beef fillet with fries and herb butter and, for dessert, the lava cake with vanilla ice cream. The fillet (medium rare) was fantastic and spot on. Lightly salted and peppered. Herb butter wasn't actually necessary, it was that good. The dessert was also very fluffy and tasty, not too sweet. Reasonable prices for top quality.

Unfortunately the dining room is very drafty, especially near the door. The tables are very close to each other, so the guests sit close together. The service seems a bit overwhelmed, you wait a long time. The wine spritzer is quite watery. Steak and fish were delicious. The side dishes, on the other hand, are normal (frozen fries, onions, vegetables).

Unfortunately I cannot recommend the Plockhaus. The food doesn't do justice to the high prices at all. It also all took a relatively long time. One of my side dishes came over five minutes after the rest. Also we were forgotten after asking for payment. But the ambience was quite nice and the service was otherwise nice.

Nicely furnished. Good service. Food was delicious for the most part. Typical prices for Plockstrasse. The same parking problem as all restaurants in Giessen's city center.

We had a delicious meal in the Plockhaus: delicious starters and then a perfect, incredibly tender rump steak with herb potatoes - heavenly. There is little choice for vegetarians, but if you want to eat good meat or fish and want a special evening, this is definitely the right place for you. It's nice that you can put together the side dishes for meat/fish individually. Staff friendly, nice atmosphere, pleasant background music. I don't like the way the tables are arranged lengthways, as it means there's not enough privacy when it's busy. Unfortunately only bottled beer and the selection of non-alcoholic drinks is very limited, so I would have liked a little more. We'll definitely be back!

The plockhaus offers an outstanding steak experience, especially with the perfectly grilled ribeye. The quality of the steak is impressive. The selection of wines complements the dining experience. A recommended place for steak lovers.

The relatively new restaurant on Plockstrasse: Noun is omen. Delicious food - especially good fish, It's great that you can easily put together the side dishes individually. Unfortunately, there is no caffeine-free cappuccino yet. Good luck #immolünzer

Am heutigen Abend verschlug es uns ins hiesige Plockhaus. Durch den Regen durchnässt entledigten wir uns direkt unserer Gewänder, welche sehr zuvorkommend direkt zur Garderobe gebracht wurden. Diese Kleinigkeit zog sich wie ein roter Faden durch den Abend. Aufmerksamkeit und der Gast im Mittelpunkt sind hier definitiv keine Plattitüden. Die Weinempfehlung entsprach genau unserer Vorstellung. Die Vorspeisen (Garnelenpfanne und Sardellen) eine Geschmacksexplosion für den Gaumen. Die Hauptspeisen (Entrecote & Rinderfilet) perfekt zubereitet und unfassbar delikat. Das alles für angemessene 130 EUR inkl. Tringeld (2 Personen, 4 Gläser Wein). Eine absolute Weiterempfehlung für alle Fleischenthusiasten! Danke für den tollen Abend und bis bald.

Das gute zuerst, das Essen war sehr lecker. Leider war der Service ziemlich überfordert. Erst haben wir sehr lange gewartet unsere Bestellung aufgeben zu können, dann wurde ein volles Getränk über unseren Tische verschüttet und dann hat eine bestellte Vorspeise gefehlt. Auch danach hatten wir das Gefühl das die Servicekräfte nicht gerade aufmerksam durch das Restaurant gelaufen sind. Rechnung bestellen hat auch ewig gedauert. Das leckere Essen war dann ein guter Trost. Aber dennoch hat der Service hier definitiv einiges an Optimierungsbedarf..

Top modern und sehr schöne Einrichtung!

Selten so gut und abwechslungsreich gegessen! Der Fisch und die Garnelen waren mega gut! Ebenso die Beilagen exzellent! Auch das Schokosouffle als Nachtisch ein Traum! Die Weine sehr gut ausgesucht und wunderbar!

Wir haben gestern Abend in einem tollen Ambiente hervorragendes Essen mit sehr passender Weinbegleitung, abgerundet durch einen zuvorkommenden Service bei einem exzellenten Gastgeber genossen. Das Plockhaus ist eine Bereicherung für die Gießener Gastronomie. Wir kommen wieder 🙂.

Leckere Weine, leckeres Essen und netter Service bzw. nette Bedienungen. Heute (Sonntag, 20.08.23) zum 1. mal auf dem Stadtfest Gießen dort gewesen. Wir kommen wieder! 👍

Nach dem Einkaufen waren wir auf ein Weinchen & Antipasti hier. Gute Auswahl an Weinen in dem kleinen Lädchen und die Antipasti-Platte für 2 war in einer angemessenen Größe & der Preis 22 Euro auch okay. Ich finde man könnte hier etwas persönlicher sein, das ganze mit mehr Herz verkaufen. Aber sonst ist es ein schnuckliger Laden!

Das Salumeria ist immer einen kurzen Abstecher für ein gutes Glas Wein und einen Espresso wert. Oder eine Mittagspause mit frischen Schiacciata. Die belegten Brote mit herzhaftem Aufstrich und reichlich belegt sind ein Highlight für alle, die mediterrane Küche lieben. Ebenfalls zu empfehlen sind die Antipasti Platten für zu Hause oder den Verzehr vor Ort. Ab und zu gibts auch Kuchen. Ich bin neulich in den Genuss einer köstlichen Zitronentarte gekommen. Besonders schön sitzt man im Außenbereich und kann das Treiben auf der Plockstraße beobachten. Auch der Shop mit Spezialitäten ist sehr zu empfehlen.

Habe hier bisher nur die Sandwiches für den Verzehr außer Haus ausprobiert. Da sie aus den frischen Produkten gemacht werden, die dort auch verkauft werden, sind sie sehr lecker und bieten ein gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis.

Kaffee und Cappuccino super, Wein wohl auch ( trinke keinen Alkohol, aber meine Begleitung ist immer begeistert), Vorspeisenplatte großartig, belegte Brote auch- alles perfekt, gern jeden Tag :-)

Gemütliche Atmosphäre, gute Qualität der Produkte. Insbesondere der Lugana ist zu empfehlen!

Am 02.06.2021 die Außenbewirtung bei Salumeria Sedici genossen. Sehr freundliche und aufmerksame Bedienung. Sehr schmackhaften Rotwein Primitivo und ein vorzügliches Antipasti-Gericht genossen. Mit sehr schmackhaften Käsesorten, Salami und Schinken, dazu Thunfischcreme. Man fühlte sich wie in Italien. Jederzeit wieder! Empfehlenswert!

Toller Laden!! Eine sehr schön Auswahl an italienischen Produkten und:... Der beste Kaffee in Gießen!!!!!

Eine geschmackvoll eingerichtete Bar mit toller Auswahl an Italienischen Antipasti, Schiacciata, Wein und Bier. Wir wurden herzlich empfangen, kompetent Beraten und haben sehr gut gegessen. Man sollte bequeme Schuhe tragen - es gibt keine Sitzplätze. Ein Besuch lohnt auch, wenn man nicht verweilen möchte. Es gibt allerlei Leckereien für Zuhause oder zum verschenken zu entdecken.

Schöne Bar mit guter Antipasti und leckeren Weinen. Eine echte Bereicherung für die Plockstraße.
