"Gabi's Kneiple" is a tragedy disguised as a restaurant. The owner's treatment of her employees is so abysmal that you wonder how anyone still works there – disrespect, shouting, and arrogance are standard here. Cleanliness? Forget it. As long as Verena was there, you could go in with confidence – since she left, it's been "after-work cleaning," if that. A quick wipe around the counter and you're done. Anyone expecting a clean glass here is playing the lottery. The waiters seem bored and overwhelmed, preferring to spend their time on the in-house slot machine or glued to their smartphones. Service is secondary, and the guests are as well. The absolute highlight: regular customers who have spent money there for years are mocked and belittled behind their backs. A climate of gossip and resentment permeates from top to bottom – no wonder with such "management."

Gabis in Pforzheim – The Epic-Length DJ Nightmare If you ever want to play at Gabis as a DJ, bring a blanket, a pillow, and strong nerves – you'll need them. I've had several bookings there, and each one was a lesson in chaos, unprofessionalism, and bizarre improvisation. Fees & Billing: Let's start with what should be the simplest thing in the world: making money. At Gabis? No way. Despite repeated requests, I wasn't issued an official invoice. Instead, I received my fee in cash. For someone hoping for professionalism, this feels like a bad joke. Apparently, paperwork, tax liability, and normal business processes are foreign concepts here. I put more effort into transporting my own equipment than into getting paid for it at all. Drinks: As a DJ, it's customary for the promoter to at least cover the drinks – sometimes even add a small tip. Not at Gabis. After hours of DJing, I realized I had to get and carry my own drinks. Without warning. At the same time, I watched as other DJs – who consumed significantly more – got their drinks paid for. Logic? None. Fitness program? Apparently included. So if you need a little strength training in addition to DJing, this is the place for you. Tech & Sound: The technical equipment is simply a disgrace. I had to dismantle half the venue to connect a simple RCA cable to their audio system. The system itself seemed like it was left over from the Stone Age of entertainment and no one had ever checked whether it even worked. Anyone hoping for a stress-free performance can now bury their hopes. I had to improvise, tinker, and toil just to get music into the room. You'd think the venue operates a "survival of the fittest" concept for DJs. Furniture & Ambience: If the technology is chaotic, the ambience is a whole other story. The walls are yellow with smoke, leaving a lasting impression of neglect and decades of unventilated cigarette smoke. The furniture looks as if someone gathered everything from the junkyard and simply threw it there, without any concept or sense of style. Timelessness? None. Coziness? None. Everything feels as if the place has lingered in a parallel universe where no one ever thought, "Maybe it's time to clean up or renovate something." In conclusion: Gabi's is a place that turns all expectations of professionalism, organization, and hospitality on their head – in a way that can only be described as surreal. DJs here are simultaneously performers, furniture movers, bartenders, and technical support staff. If you like improvisation, yellow smoke walls, homemade drinks, chaotic technology, and junkyard furniture – welcome! Everyone else should steer clear before they lose not only their dignity but also their patience. Gabis in Pforzheim is less a bar and more a survival training course for DJs who think they've seen it all. Spoiler alert: you haven't.

I was here for the first time with my friend of 38 years. It won't be the last time I'm here either. Very friendly staff and service. Good luck to both employees. I had a white wine spritzer and Alpirsbacher beer. It was delicious. The restroom was also very clean. I hope to see my friend again soon. If you want to visit a nice pub where you can enjoy a drink and relax, then come here.

When I walked in with my friends, I thought they were going to slap me on the wrist. But the people young and old alike were genuinely welcoming and polite. I've never experienced anything like that in any other restaurant. Great, keep it up! 😊
