Restaurant Olympia in Pforzheim

Reservations by phone are straightforward. Despite its location on the edge of the city center, there is parking nearby. The menu offers all the Greek classics, and the prices are moderate. The ambiance is also as classic as a German guest would expect: frescoes, amphorae, and sculptures. On this summer evening, we sit in the cozy courtyard. The service is attentive and familiar. As always at a Greek restaurant, I start with "Tarama (fish and egg salad)." The generous portion is the perfect opening for "Souvlaki Gemisto (meat skewer filled with feta cheese, served with French fries and tzatziki)." Everything is delicious; even the photographer is delighted with his liver. I'm already full, but there's still room for a delicious dessert that worthy represents the Greek sweet tradition. And because it was so delicious, three days later I drag the triathlon specialist to the Olympia. That evening, we opted for an excellent grilled platter from the daily special. No pictures this time... it was simply eaten too quickly. There's also a dessert on the house (along with a whopping three ouzo bottles). Only the sticky salt and pepper shakers (on both days) could use a little more love ;) Conclusion: Greek delicacies in a classic setting. I was there for the first time this weekend. The food was delicious, and the service was very friendly and polite. The manager was very nice and made sure I didn't miss anything. At the end, the chef came by, and we chatted. All in all, it was a very nice evening. Thank you for that.

If you want fine Greek then Olympia in Pforzheim, right on Sedanplatz is this good, traditional Greek cuisine :) with typical Greek decoration that makes you feel like you're in Athens🙏 just be careful, the portions are huge... so don't overdo it with the order... the prices are also very moderate... I can recommend it with a clear conscience 👍

It's a shame that the boss is the nicest waitress, there's another way. Dry meat that has been fried for too long, some burnt meat happens when the chef doesn't care at all about what he presents to the customer, then you just cook yourself again and invite friends to your house. Sorry earlier, was your meat delicious? You are a great restaurant, if the chef is not busy, even though the restaurant is not really full, then he doesn't care. The fact was once again that my meat was just as dry as my wife's, even though I came an hour later. Then there was the fact that the meat was hardly seasoned. The waitress was even annoyed when my friend asked if they could pack up the leftovers. Unfortunately it wasn't the first time, which was really annoying. There wasn't even an Uso, only the salad and the fries were good. If our food isn't good again, I won't come with my friends anymore. Then we'll look for another favorite restaurant, definitely.

We ate there again today for a long time. A lot has changed and we no longer felt comfortable as before. The food was prepared differently and the service (after the change) basically ignored us. In our opinion, very impractical in this area. Very unfortunate. Maybe it will find its way back to what it was before.

Greek in close proximity to the Parkhotel. Reservation is a good idea. The ambience was rather rustic but quite ok. It was very loud because the rows were so close to each other. The service is good. The food is good and the price/performance is okay.

We had an Athens platter for 2 people. The fries were good. Unfortunately the liver wasn't as expected, the souvlaki skewer was dry, the gyros was hard and dry. Too bad...I was disappointed.

In my opinion, the worst restaurant in town. I ordered some lamb chops. The portion was big, but I couldn't enjoy anything on the plate. The lamb was not properly cooked, very chewy. Lots of fries..it wasn't necessary. I left the plate almost untouched. I will definitely not be back.

The best Greek food we've ever had. Top quality, especially the meat and large portions, we even had to have the rest packed up. The waiters were great and the atmosphere was nice. The only thing that can't keep up is the toilets, which are very old and there's no soap left.

Large yet cozy restaurant. Service is incredibly friendly and quick. Takes orders correctly and brings drinks quickly. Is also able to offer a suitable wine for the respective dishes. With the first "drink delivery" you receive an ouzo on the house for every adult at the table. Starters are very tasty and plentiful. You should keep this in mind if you aren't really hungry. All of the main courses (at least the ones we've tried so far) were very tasty. Special requests are easily accommodated. The selection of desserts is good. Some German classics but also Greek delicacies. In terms of price, I would put the Olympia in the lower to middle category. We would also come if everything were a few euros more expensive. All in all, a clear recommendation from us.

You can really only give 5/5 stars here! If you're looking for authentic Greek cuisine, this is the place to go. The food is really delicious, the staff is always courteous and friendly and the restaurant impresses with its ancient Greek flair. The price-performance ratio is top! Absolutely worth one (and several) visits!

Heute schön authentisch griechisch im Olympia in der Weiherstraße gegessen. Es gab zur Vorspeise original griechisches Tzatziki, zum Hauptgang genoss ich feines Bifteki mit Schafskäse und selbstgemachten Pommes Frites sowie zum Dessert schönen schnittfesten griechischen Joghurt und Honig und karamellisierten Nüssen. Natürlich durfte der Ouzo auch nicht fehlen, für knapp 30,00 Euro stimmt hier das Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis. Dafür gibt es auch die Gewichtsklasse Helmut Kohl hinterher.

Today we had a lovely authentic Greek meal at Olympia on Weiherstrasse. For the starter I had original Greek tzatziki, for the main course I enjoyed fine bifteki with sheep's cheese and homemade French fries, and for dessert I enjoyed lovely sliceable Greek yoghurt and honey and caramelised nuts. Of course, the ouzo couldn't be missed either, for just under 30.00 euros the price/performance ratio is right. There is also the Helmut Kohl weight class behind.

Super Restaurant für griechisches Essen. Wir hatten die Athen Platte waren mit Geschmack, Personal und Location zufrieden. Es hat zwar etwas lang gedauert, war aber verständlich, da Samstag Abend viel los war.

Το φαγητό ήταν πραγματικά ΠΟΛΥ νόστιμο η μερίδα ικανοποιητική έως και μεγάλη θα μπορούσα να πω, ο χώρος έχει άρωμα ΕΛΛΑΔΑΣ από την εξώπορτα ακόμα , υπέροχα χρώματα και μυρωδιές. Το προσωπικό ευγενέστατο το μόνο που κάπως δεν μου έκατσε καλά ήταν ότι περιμέναμε λίγη ώρα παραπάνω για τα κυρίως πιάτα αλλά η γεύση τους μας αποζημίωσε!!! 🤍🩵🇬🇷

Der Laden ist leicht in die Jahre gekommen. Das Essen war befriedigend. Eine Nachspeise hätte den Abend versüßen können, doch leider wurden wir von der Bedienung mehrfach nicht eines Blickes gewürdigt. Schade!

Echt nicht so gut, Portionen sind zu klein, Pommes garnicht gesalzen und Gyros versalzen kein Vergleich zum Griechen auf der anderen Flussseite. War heute mal eine Ausnahme chance. Wenn man ohne Erwartungen enttäuscht wird. Ich finde auch die Preise etwas unangemessen für die Portionsgröße.

Es war alles sehr lecker hier. Vor allem Galaktompuriko (Dessert, Blätterteig mit Grießpudding gefüllt) ist ideal für Leute, die es nicht so süß mögen.

Seit langem haben wir nicht mehr so viel Geld für so schlechtes Essen ausgegeben. Mein Mann und ich hatten mit das teuerste von der Karte und es hat geschmeckt wie Schuhsohle. Da wir mit Bekannten da waren, wollten wir das Essen nicht zurückgehen lassen. Erstaunlicher Weise war der Laden voll. Wir werden dort nie mehr essen und jedem davon abraten!

Wir haben am 29.10.22 in Olympia die Taufe unserer Tochter gefeiert und waren so sehr zufrieden. Es gab überhaupt nichts zu bemängeln. Das Personal super freundlich, schneller Service, tolle Preise, und vom Salat bis zu den Hauptmahlzeiten alles herrlich geschmeckt. Die Inhaberin sehr herzlich und all unsere Wünsche waren erfüllt. Kann ich jedem empfehlen.

A pleasant surprise- we had no booking but were welcomed and seated. We were offered a free shot of ouzo, before our meal. I had moussaka which came with a fresh salad.

Wir waren am 08.09.2021 im Olympia Essen. Wir waren sehr gespannt, da wir schon öfters hier Essen waren und wussten, dass das Essen hier gut ist. Wir haben mitbekommen, dass der Pächter sich verändert hatte und waren durchaus gespannt wegen der Qualität. Es war vorher schon grandios lecker, aber die neuen Pächter haben es sogar noch weiter verbessert bei gleich bleibenden Preisen. Sitzmöglichkeiten außen sind gegeben. Feeling und Flair griechisch durch die Ausstattung der Möbel, Lichter und Dekoration. Personal freundlich wie eh und je. Wir hatten reserviert und hätten eigentlich einen Platz im Biergarten gehabt, aber dank schlafenden Kind waren wir gezwungen die bequemen Sitzcouches im Innenbereich zu nehmen und es war auch gar kein Problem für das Restaurant umzuswitchen. Dickes Lob und wir werden hier wieder essen gehen, wenn wir mal wieder Lust auf griechisch haben. :D Die GeeGees
