A very pleasant, atmospheric place. We ordered different dishes and they were all delicious.

A beautiful, traditional German inn, just what you'd expect. Friendly and prompt service and delicious food. If I'm ever in Meissen again, I'll definitely be back.

Hmmmmmm... the beer from the on-site brewery is highly recommended in all its varieties, as is the food. The service is superb, with sooooo much love and charm. Thank you.

A week ago, we went out to eat with 12 people, having made a reservation. We sat outside, and the tables were neatly arranged. The host was prompt and friendly. However, some of the food was inedible, which we also expressed. Two farmhouse breakfasts were completely oversalted, and other dishes were borderline salty. So, as a 60th birthday celebration, it was a complete letdown and not a very pleasant one. We were very disappointed, though. We can't recommend it to anyone!

We were on a short vacation in Meissen. While walking around the city, we immediately noticed this quaint restaurant. We were the first customers and were served promptly. Everything was super quick and uncomplicated. The owner was very friendly, and we felt very well looked after. The food was delicious and the portions were just right for us. We'd be happy to come back!

Today, until midnight, there's a May Day dance at the small market organized by the Kleinmarktschänke. The food was very good. The dark beer goulash was super flavorful. The asparagus was cooked to perfection and of very high quality.

Very nice restaurant. The owner is friendly and efficient, the food is tasty, and the price is reasonable. What more could a guest want? We'd love to come back.

Small, manageable menu. Which is great in my opinion. Everything freshly prepared. We were there with 7 people. Everyone really enjoyed it. I found the prices to be totally reasonable for what you get on your plate. I had a roulade with dumplings and red cabbage. You can hardly do it better at home. In my opinion a clear recommendation. Great thanks and keep it up. We'll see each other again on my next visit to Meissen.

Historic restaurant with a good reputation and super friendly service and home cooking of the best kind, plus large portions

We even got something to eat shortly before lunch. The food was delicious, the host was friendly and nice. Can definitely be recommended.

Unfortunately for me it was the worst Viennese style schnitzel with fries for an affordable €17.60 that I have ever eaten. Tasted like it had been cooked in the deep fryer for too long, both partly black and the fries were hard. A dollop of lettuce didn't make the cabbage any more fat either. There was a black hair on my plate, a small dog was running around the restaurant and was also being carried inside. The landlord and the staff smoked outside the door as soon as they could. We were the only guests in the beer garden, even though it was already after 5:30 p.m. (actually dinner time). I had barely finished eating and my mouth was still full when the waitress came to clear away the food. I felt like I was being watched very much. According to the motto “eat quickly, pay, leave quickly”. Nobody will see us there again...and we won't recommend it to anyone else.

The food was rather average, but the ambience in the center of Meissen was fine.

The food was ok, but not a culinary highlight. I had duchess potatoes as a side dish, which tasted like they had been doctored again and were therefore super dry and not tasty. The salmon fillet was ok, but nothing more. The ambience was the best thing about the place. Our waitress was generally quick, remembered all the orders and was able to assign them perfectly 1 hour later, even when paying separately, without having to ask. However, the lady seemed very grumpy and almost unfriendly.

Cozy restaurant in Meißen, delicious Meißener Schwerter beer, food also tasted very good. The service was also good, if the young woman had had a smile on her lips it would have been 5 stars.

Food was ok, but the boss's handling of the service was subpar!!!! Was humiliated in front of us, despite her good work and kindness. Very unfortunate. Don't come back

Tastes very good, everything OK

The atmosphere is pleasantly rustic. The service is quick and if the waitress worked with a smile it would be five stars. The food is tasty but a bit salty.

We were the only guests on a Saturday evening. The food was ok, but very carelessly prepared. A large schnitzel, a relatively small portion of fries, a slice of cucumber on the corner and a piece of tomato. No sauce with it, so very dry. The children's plate consisted of fries and nuggets, not even a leaf of lettuce. While we were eating apple strudel for dessert, we heard the microwave beeping from the kitchen... The service was polite, but didn't even smile while we were there. Overall, unfortunately not very inviting. Next time we'll go somewhere else.

Rustic restaurant at the small market in Meißen with German cuisine. We were greeted warmly and were seated straight away. The drinks and food came very quickly and tasted good. Service was friendly. Recommended restaurant with a good price-performance ratio 👍

Ein sehr tolles, kleines Restaurant. Der Wirt war super nett und ist auch auf Änderungswünsche eingegangen. Für kleines Geld und leckeres Essen kann ich jedem empfehlen hier einzukehren.

Urige Gaststätte in Meißen, mit einem sehr netten Wirt und ein klasse Essen was seinen Preis wert ist. Die Karte ist nicht groß aber was auf der Karte steht kann sich sehen lassen und sieht lecker aus wenn es raus gebracht wird. Wir kommen wieder.

Ein wirklich schönes uriges Wirtshaus mit einem super freundlichen Chef. Das Essen war sehr lecker, hätte jedoch ein wenig heißer sein können. Kleine Speisekarte mit regionalen Gerichten fand ich super und sie haben eine große Auswahl an Bieren und Weinen. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Urig, Chic und Sauber. Personal sehr nett. Essen war sehr gut und auf einen kleinen Extrawunsch(Nudeln mit Tomatensauce für die Kinder wurde auch sofort eingegangen. 5 Sterne . Weiter so.

Sehr netter Chef. Super freundlich. Wir haben nur ein Bier getrunken. Aber das Essen vom Nachbartisch sah sehr lecker aus. Das Ambiente richtig Urig. Klasse
