Unfortunately I was only able to eat a few fries here quickly, but they were 11/10!! Stable portion, well seasoned, good price, great staff ❤️

There is no nicer place in Hamburg for fried potatoes, burgers etc. in St Pauli with a rough but warm atmosphere. Meeting point for the whole family.

The best fries in the neighborhood! Always delicious, always fresh, always friendly, no matter how full the place is! Vegan offerings are constantly being expanded and improved; Nowhere else does veg mayo taste so good! Definitely go there!

The food is delicious, the beer is good, the prices are low, and the staff is great! I recommend!

As usual, the dishes are solid and uplifting. The service at the front counter as well. The direct but honest manner is the special spice of the shop. Unfortunately, the service at the bar counter didn't understand anything about this: the offer that had been discussed fairly, nicely and clearly in advance when ordering a drink was not kept and later the change was cheated out of €5, unfortunately noticed too late. I felt like I was being served by a listless teenager. I've had the store in my heart since I was a teenager, but experiences like this make me think the break is past its peak. Thanks for the good moments – I'm through.

Crispy, salty fries, plenty of mayo, fresh salad on the burger... THIS is honest fast food! Unhealthy, greasy, not star-rated cuisine... but just the thing when your stomach urgently needs carbohydrates after partying. The audience and ambience are like the surrounding neighborhood, beautiful and ugly at the same time.

We came especially from distant Langenhorn 😁. As always we were not disappointed. The currywurst with fries and the awesome sauce, simply amazing, or as they say today, epic.

Good old St Pauli experience with a beer and a burger

Back then (early 2000s) I was still living in the Schanze and happened to stumble into the break. It was love at first sight. :-) I was impressed by both the food and the girls behind the counter on my first visit. This warmth is unique. I now live in Austria but every time I visit home, a short break is on my to-do list. Saturday it's that time again. I'm already excited!

Best Currywurst Fries in HH! Rustic in furnishings and tone, but still with warmth. This is the HHer Kiez in its purest form and we love it.

Slow food instead of fast food Service: slow progress, disorganized rummaging through receipts instead of preparing food. We waited about 8-10 minutes per customer (45 minutes in total), dishes that weren't cleared away stood and stood and stood... Selection: very large, sometimes incomprehensible menu (currywurst fries have to be taken into account, for example, we didn't know that) Food: was okay, have eaten much better currywurst... carelessly presented (salad garnish), fries were crispy and well seasoned, bratwurst was barely crispy. Ambience: restless, poorly thought-out room design - not much of a feel-good feeling, at least for us

If you really want to be lovingly shitted out by “an original”, then you dare to order something there… If you allow yourself to be insulted, you have to understand humor and will be rewarded with very good snacks.

In any normal restaurant, an employee will be immediately fired without notice if she tells a customer “Fuck off!” from the store, who after three quarters of an hour dares to inquire about the whereabouts of his order. This is apparently normal etiquette here and is sold as “Hamburger Schnauze”.

I don't think there's much to say. The reviews say it all. If you want something quick but excellent with a classic style, you've come to the right place. Price-performance ratio unbeatable!

After a long night in the club, I was looking for a snack and was absolutely thrilled. It's nice that there are still restaurants like this.

Although the food is good, the service (two gentlemen) is terrible, the approach to the customer is dismissive, they do not respond to the customer's needs. The place is naturally great, but they should pay attention to who they employ!!!!!!!!!!!!

I found it very horrible there, the service was very annoyed at the beginning, for whatever reason, when we ordered (since we ordered individually) we were asked if we were kidding them. I had a currywurst, the sausage was on the grill far too short for me and the sauce had a strange, almost tough consistency. I don't go there anymore.

We were there on the bike today. Good hospitality, delicious food, pleasant atmosphere. We enjoyed making the journey from Gnarrenburg to Hamburg by car and then exploring Hamburg on our bikes and getting some refreshment here. We'll definitely come back 😊

Delicious food and a great team. Very crowded on weekends, but everyone is very relaxed and easy going. There is a happy hour for Caipirinha's or Mojitos, for example. Cool bar staff. You can sit inside and outside. It's self-service. Definitely recommended!

Friendliness probably had to give way to busyness. The tip-paying person got their food at the table with the announcement: the rest have to get their own plates. The bean salad was as sweet as dessert. The vegan bratwurst and fries were good.

Yesterday a guest of yours was so upset because he didn't have any cash and the waitress pointed out the note in a totally annoyed manner. I think he'll never come back. My daughter and I, and a few guests next to us, noticed and everyone felt uncomfortable and unwelcome. Even though we had nothing to do with it. And that's just to maybe save a few cents at the bank. I have known you for almost 20 years and you are the best snack bar in all of HH.

Sehr durchschnittlicher Imbiss, die Angestellten sollten weniger schlau schnacken und stattdessen lieber einen Zahn zulegen, dauert alles viel zu lang, die Speisequalität ist ok, aber mehr auch nicht-Fazit ich verstehe nicht, warum der Laden abgefeiert wird , gibt deutlich besserer Imbisse in Hamburg und auch sauberer….

Absolutely unfriendly staff!!! We were there late in the evening after a concert. We just wanted a little something and were just deciding what we wanted to eat. Apparently we were spoken to while we were there, but unfortunately we didn't hear it because of the noise there. When we wanted to order, we were ignored for a while and then (already) slightly irritated we were asked to finally talk. We ordered fries with one dish, whereupon we were asked whether we wanted anything else on the fries, which we couldn't understand at all acoustically. We therefore asked again in a polite tone (“Please?”). We were then shouted at in a completely disrespectful manner. We would have liked to leave straight away. The food was ok, but we felt extremely uncomfortable there and so we quickly left. Once and never again!

Despite the high volume of customers, the staff was friendly, helpful and quick. The food was freshly prepared. The prices are completely reasonable and the currywurst was tasty too - top shop!

Incredibly unfriendly staff. We waited 10 minutes to place an order and then left without having accomplished anything. It was busy and the wait was understandable, but we were completely ignored, not spoken to or explained how long the wait would be. You probably don't have to rely on new customers here!

I became aware of a report on N3. On September 11th, 2024 I went for a short break. And I wasn't disappointed. I ordered a currywurst fries mayo. The staff was friendly and the food was fresh and prepared quickly. And all at a fair price. So a clear recommendation from me.

The service is just as hearty and honest as the food. Rustic atmosphere and a large selection of classics and homemade dishes. The only problem: those who sit at the back in the "winter garden" often have to get through when they come and go. Still happy again!

We were on assembly work in Hamburg for a while and lived directly above it. We ate there almost every day. We enjoyed it very much every time! The staff is super friendly. You can also drink a beer there and watch football. There is also a slot machine. ALWAYS MY PLEASURE!!! Greetings from Swabia ;-)))

The currywurst was very good. Staff were slightly annoyed and the shift schedule was discussed in front of the guests. A short break is definitely worth a visit :)

The food was decent as it's hard to make a burger wrong. Good atmosphere excellent except for the waitress who served us. That lady had no hygiene since she handled the food without gloves. On top of that, he has been very rude and unpleasant and I think he has even insulted us for not having taken the command well. In short, smiling and being pleasant is not difficult. I hope it serves as constructive criticism.

Cult snack, the sturdiest fries in Hamburg, sauces cost extra but are easily enough for 2 portions! You can't go wrong here and should be on everyone's list if you're in Hamburg for a longer or shorter period of time! Insider tip: You can get a really good and very cheap Aperol for €4.6!
