The food was bland, the vegetables were okay but boring, they seem to use a standard convenience sauce, the rice was awful, but the service was super friendly. And the place is loud. Very loud. No one seems to care about the restrooms.

Delicious food and friendly staff

One of the worst Korean food I have ever had, vegan and non vegan. The only good thing about the place is the service, which is friendly but understaffed and overwhelmed. We had for food fried cauliflower “wings”, kimchi mandu, memil jeon, veggies kimbab, kimchi kimbab, banchan set, and for drinks the house made lemonades. The cauliflowers were overcooked to the point it was a wet paste, and it had a. Weird banana-y flavour, which we thought maybe it was the marinate but after trying the dumplings where the wrappings also hab the same weird after/ secondary banana-y taste we summoned it was the frying oil. Talking about the Mandu, they were too dry, tastes barely like kimchi, and overwhelmingly like mushroom. There was no consideration of balanced flavours but rather “ let’s just replace meat with something non meat and call it vegan” this execution will perforates through all the other dishes. The Jeon was dry and tasteless, missing salt and any form of spice and flavours. Both kimbabs tasted almost identically since the kimchee was useless. But that could Be excused if the kimbab at least was good the nori leaf was so chewy and thick, we could non bite through it, it was like chewing on plastic. The veggie were under season and the rice dry. The banchan were as equally bad, the napa kimchee again tasted like washed white kimchee and sprinkled with gochujang as an afterthought. The cucumber was saved by the sesame oil and best thing was the spicy cabbage, only because it actually had a taste and kick. Lastly the homemade lemonade tasted like diluted stores bought syrup with a slice of lime and or a basil leaf. Conclusion, will not visit again.

The service was very attentive and the food was really good. A definite recommendation for anyone looking to eat meat-free on the go.

Absolutely recommended for vegans, vegetarians, or lovers of Korean cuisine. One of my favorite restaurants in Hamburg. Everyone I've recommended this place to has shared their opinion. The service is very friendly and fast. However, you should eat as quickly as possible and make room for waiting guests, as the restaurant doesn't have many seats. While it's not a house rule, it would be courteous behavior for guests in a small restaurant. I usually go for dinner quite early, around 5 p.m., and I always find a seat. By 6 p.m. or 7 p.m. at the latest, the place is packed. The prices are great, both for the food and the drinks. Enjoy your meal, everyone ❤️🙏

located on a charming street in altona, kini has a very distinctive vibe. the food was tasty, the same goes for drinks. vegan chicken was a little bit pricey, but it was worth every eurocent!

Unfortunately, we had to wait a very long time for the food, hence a minus star. The waiter was a bit confused and gave us the wrong order, which earned us another minus star. The food is okay, but I've had better Korean food. I also found the restroom really dirty. If the above-mentioned points are improved, then this place deserves a 5 star rating. We ended up eating much faster than waiting.

It was very tasty but not friendly for people with gluten problems… 2 people sat outside and smoked the whole time without ordering anything 😂 Not a good experience

The bibimbap tasted like mushrooms, and the miso soup was merely salty. Giant ice cubes in the drinks meant that the contents weren't very good. The atmosphere was okay. The servers were actually nice but very evasive. The price/performance ratio was very good for lunchtime. If you know what good Korean food tastes like, you'll be very disappointed here.

Super delicious Korean vegan food! The best in Hamburg! Great drinks and friendly service! The fried tofu is extremely tasty, and the ttebokki is super spicy but also very, very tasty. You can sit outside.

Nice atmosphere and generous sized portions

I loved the kimchi jjigae (soup) here so much that I ordered a second portion. Even though vegan, this soup was very flavourful with the right amount of spicy and sourness. The drinks are also yummy and the prices are justified.

Gutes Essen, nicht unbedingt die größte Auswahl aber absolut ausreichend. Saubere Toiletten, nettes Personal. Sehr gemütliches Ambiente.

This was really the best Tteokbokki of my life, perfect spiciness and consistency. The service is quick and my husband, being a “non-vegan”, also loved his bibimbap. Really really big recommendation.

I ordered the mushroom bibimbap and fried cauliflower, both are ok- they are not authentic at all, more like Korean-inspired food, I was expecting the hot sizzling pot but it was only warm. The taste was off-balance for me with too much sweetness in both garlic soy sauce and sweet spicy. Great service and vibe, but for me the flavor wasn’t impressive.

Had a very good meal here for the second time. We're not from Hamburg, but we enjoy coming here. Like the first time, today the Tteokbokki was world class. Service was ok, but food took a long time.

Vegan Korean food. At first that sounds quite - let's say: crazy. I have to say, I have never had better vegan food in any restaurant. It's really tasty and shameful👌👌 A big compliment to the kitchen and thank you for the lovely evening! Thumbs up and keep it up! 👍

The food was delicious, the waiting time was short and the staff was very nice. The only thing that bothered me was that it was quite cold in the store and the benches were very hard and the atmosphere was therefore not that comfortable. But that wasn't actually the fault of the shop, but rather the fact that the other guests (despite the sign) kept leaving the door open when the temperatures outside were below zero. I think once it's spring it would be perfect here. :)

The food itself was very good and the staff was very friendly. Price performance at lunchtime is incredibly good. The only point of criticism: the tteokbokki sauce was a little too sweet for our taste. It was also really freezing in the restaurant, so other guests kept their winter jackets on. It was basically “colder inside than outside”.

Not fair! The food is so terribly delicious that it made me sad to swallow it and lose the taste. The chocolate oat milk snow for dessert was more impressive in terms of the idea than the taste, but you can order it for fun. Afterwards stop for a Snickers at the kiosk next door for a treat 😃👍

Once and never again. Very tasteless food, overpriced slapstick, complete lack of spices and good ingredients. The miso soup tasted like water, The eggplant was partly mushy, partly raw (however you get it) The rest of the stuff had no salt or any flavor at all. The service person mentioned that the kitchen just mixes ready-made things (Wow, I'm happy to pay for that...prepared things) and that they don't season the food themselves. So you can't cook it well? So, I'm really extremely disappointed. I won't recommend this shop to anyone and hope that whoever makes the food there disappears completely. The eggplant was removed from our bill...we still paid almost €50 for 2 people because we didn't eat ANYTHING and went out super hungry and angry.

Good food and even vegan dessert

Lovely place for a vegan korean eat. Prices are reasonable and service attentive. Homemade lemonade is pretty yummy and the food authentically seasoned.

All in all quite nice, but I find it to be rather mediocre overall. The food tastes good, but when folded down it's just a rice bowl, which isn't bad, but with a drink you can easily spend over €20, which is very excessive apart from the lunch menu. The service tries hard, but often lags behind. Unfortunately you cannot reserve. You can do it, but I wouldn't come here again.

Very tasty vegan Korean food. We had Bibimap with tofu and cauliflower, drinks and food came very quickly, were fresh and tasty. Since the restaurant is quite small, reservations are not possible. We managed to get a table early in the evening.

Ich hatte mich sehr gefreut, ein koreanisches Lokal zu finden, in dem konsequent vegan gekocht wird. Bibimbab, das ich bestellte, ist ein Gericht, das ohnehin sehr gut ohne Fleisch auskommt, da es dabei sehr um die Qualität des Reises und eine Anzahl marinierter und frisch geschnittener Gemüse geht. Fleisch wurde hier durch Tofu ersetzt - flächendeckend in Würfeln über den Inhalt der Schüssel gekippt. Das ganze hat nach überhaupt nichts geschmeckt - ich hätte genauso gut Styropor essen können. Auch die Tips bei der Bestellung der sonst sehr freundlichen Kellnerin waren mehr als fragwürdig. Ich bin sehr enttäuscht und werde nicht hierher zurückkommen.

We had delicious bibimbap for lunch for €10.90 (12-3 p.m. also on Saturdays). The lemonade was also nice and cold and delicious. Only the toilets were a bit disgusting... the customer toilets were broken and the employee toilets were a bit dirty... but otherwise a good shop. I would eat there again.

A great little completely vegan shop. Which offers a really good price-performance ratio during lunch time from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. The map is a little confusing but contains everything you could want! The selection of sauces is a little smaller, but the hot sauce has it all! A great presentation of the store that fits into the Hamburg charm. Unfortunately, the charm is also small, narrow toilets that cannot offer permanently installed toilet seats at the time. I would advise against fake chicken even though it tastes great because the portion is smaller. The tofu and cauliflower taste very tasty and the mushrooms are really something special. Unfortunately, the drinks lag a little behind the standard of the food, but they are by no means to be despised. The waiting time was a bit long but there were 8 of us there.

The food at this well situated, all-vegan, Korean restaurant was absolutely delicious. It was easily the best food I've had in Hamburg on any of my trips to the city. The restaurant is very good for large bowls if you are very hungry, but I would also highly recommend getting a varied selection of their "tapas"-type mix and match dishes and choosing between a selection of smaller portions with a side of some rice. Pro tip: definitely avoid the red/green peppers they add to the bowls if you don't like spicy food as they are quite chilli and like to blend in with the spring onions! The cocktails they have on the menu are lovely too, and the variety of soft drinks is good. Overall, the menu is very reasonably priced, if a. bit on the expensive side, but definitely worth it. The service was good and the staff are very friendly and attentive to English speakers. They also have a good English menu too. The only thing that let this down from being 5 stars is that the acoustics inside were awful. I'd recommend sitting outside or just getting a takeaway because the acoustics were so bad that we could barely hear the person just one space away on the table, talking to someone opposite was just impossible!

Very good (vegan) Korean food. Reasonably priced. The store is really nicely decorated and is in a good location. The tapas are larger than expected, I ended up ordering almost too much, but take away is no problem.

Yeah, it was okay now, but nothing more. The black rice in the bibimbap was a bit overcooked and generally lacked some seasoning. We also waited forever for drinks - okay is the best way to go.

Really good food with fantastic customer service. Good English skills of the waiter. I got bibimbap with marinated mushrooms which tasted absolutely amazing.

It's a very nice little restaurant in the middle of the Schanze. In summer you can sit outside well. People often ask for money while eating, but that's normal now... In winter it's usually a bit cold inside unless you're sitting by the heater. A new map has been introduced. Prices have increased and things like the silken tofu as "tapas" were a total failure. €9.50 for 4 pieces of silken tofu with a little cucumber on top is a bit too much. In general, the tapas are pretty outrageous in terms of price.

I was first not to convinced of going there but it was the only place that still had seats available outside. I tried the fried tofu and the Rice rolls in sweet and sour sauce with peanuts and both was absolutely amazing. I expected the portions to be rather small but for the price they were very decent sizes. Can recommend!!

Went there yesterday with a friend. We were honestly quite disappointed. The food used to be very good, but I wasn't happy with it at all yesterday. We both had the fried vegan chicken (I had the meat alternative chicken, he had the cauliflower chicken). Mine was dry, with very little sauce. His cauliflower was mushy and also mainly sauceless. The wait staff were nice, but they forgot the bingsu we ordered for dessert. At that point we were kind of done so we just paid and left. It's a shame too see a place like this change, unfortunately we probably won't be back.

Unfortunately not recommended as the food is now very dry and the service leaves a lot to be desired.

Not sure if good asian food is actually available in Germany. I seriously hope that I do not get food poisoning. Extremely disappointing. And we just realised it's vegan 😞 so at least we shouldn't get food poisoning.

The fried tofu bibimbap was very dry and bland. The gimbap was also very dry. The chewy rice cakes were quite good, would recommend those. Overall: service and atmosphere were really great, they have a cool bar and their drinks are good. The food can definitely be significantly improved.

Was okay. Something was missing from the bibimbap. Wasn't the best I've ever had. The portion was too big for me, so I wanted to take the rest with me. Instead of this being done in the kitchen as normal, you are given a cardboard box in front of your nose and are allowed to spoon it around the table yourself. Does it have to be that way?

The vegan tofu chicken was a bit tasteless, as was the sushi. However, the cauliflower and gyōza-like dumplings were super tasty. Restaurant is very cozy and small, you may have to wait a bit until you get a table.

We felt very comfortable in this sweetly decorated restaurant. The V-pop Chicken Sushi was very tasty. We can also highly recommend the dessert selection. The hottoek we tried was so so delicious! Only the miso soup didn't completely convince us. We would definitely like to come back, there are many more vegan options that you want to try.

All the tapas I ordered were bland. The kimichi rice had no flavor. The cabbage inside was white and tasteless. The chef has to do better, especially with vegan dishes. That's why you go out for Korean food. So that you can experience the different flavor nuances, sweet, spicy, sesame, etc. tastes.

Kleiner, schnuckeliger Laden. Trotz Windfang ist es leider sehr kühl und zugig. Die beiden Mitarbeitenden waren super nett, das Essen war einfach mal etwas Anderes und hat gut geschmeckt. Pluspunkt weil komplett vegan :-) insgesamt war das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis nicht ganz stimmig, daher ein Stern Abzug.

Das Bibimbap ist eines der besten, die ich je gegessen habe und man sollte unbedingt das "Banchan Set" dazu nehmen, eine Auswahl koreanischer Side-Dishes. Auch das Kimchi ist eines der besten "ever eaten". Die Portionen sind reichlich bemessen und, zu meiner größten Freude, ist alles vegan! Fazit: GEH HIN! ;)
