I don't know how all these good reviews come about. We had to wait quite a long time for our food, even though (in our opinion) there wasn't much going on. Based on a recommendation, we tried the Korean fried chicken. Unfortunately it was the worst Korean Fried Chicken I have ever eaten in Hamburg. It was chewy and there were some bones in the chicken that you don't normally get served when you order Korean fried chicken.

Nice store with homemade style dishes. Order at the counter and take drinks from the fridge yourself, because the owners will be busy cooking and serving the food to the tables. If you go there to eat you shouldn’t wear any fancy clothes, as you will smell like food after dining in ;)

I had high expectations because of the good reviews... The food wasn't bad, but the price was also Imbis, so it wasn't cheap and they weren't particularly friendly. It's not a large amount. I was disappointed. I had jjamppong, but it had a lot of peppers, the jjajang was mediocre, and the seasoned chicken was expensive and the taste was just so-so. First of all, communication was not smooth. I thought they were Koreans.

There are options to order Korean fried chicken mixed in different variations or individually as a portion. In this case half chilli sauce, half garlic soy. There is also radish. Attention, payment by cash only. No parking and only 20-30 seats inside.

The atmosphere is simple but the food is very fresh and tastes very tasty, we will definitely come back.

Traditional Korean cuisine, excellent fried chicken, the price seems a little high but it's a portion large enough for two people. Really friendly staff, open kitchen. It fills up quickly as the place has few tables, so it takes a while for the dishes to come out. During the weekend there is a long wait outside the door. But I have to say that I really felt the Korean culture behind every dish.

Based on the reviews and recommendations, I ordered Korean Chicken here. After a wait of 35 minutes, I got my food. They simply look great and also taste very good. However, they are not boneless. There's more bone than flesh. Which is a total shame. Furthermore, I would not recommend eating the food there, but rather taking it with you. The atmosphere is definitely not inviting and not clean either.

You have to experience it yourself. Authentic as a term is not enough here. Plus the best Korean fried chicken I've eaten so far. It's worth the queue and the wait!

Incredibly disrespectful owner!! I ate at this snack bar with my friend last Sunday. Preliminary: We had tried to get a table three times before, but were always turned away in an extremely unfriendly manner. Since we heard that the food was very tasty, we wanted to try it at least once. Top: The food: - we had Korean fried chicken, bibimbap with pork and rice cakes in very spicy sauce. - It was really tasty! Flop: The “service” aka the owner of the snack bar! As briefly noted above, we have had bad experiences in this regard when it came to just getting a place; we were always rudely turned away. - If you enter the store, which is much too small, and just want to ask briefly whether it would be possible to get a seat at the moment, you will be rudely told that you should just wait outside without any further information. When it was our turn, the owner actually wanted to let a young couple in before us, who were obviously behind us in line. Only when she pointed out that we had been there before did she give us a place that was still full from the previous people. We waited for about 30 minutes and no one had cleared the table until we asked for it after a long time. When we wrote down our order ourselves on paper, we had to wait about an hour until our food was finally ready to be picked up. In fact, only 2/3 of the dishes were finished. We started eating, and while we were almost finished with both dishes, the bibimbap finally arrived. During the meal (we had clearly spent a lot of time there) we were able to observe how Korean guests in particular were obviously preferred here: - everything came to the table much faster than ours. (There were guests who came to the restaurant later than we did) - the other guests actually got their food at the table, we had to pick everything up at the counter ourselves. - From start to finish, we weren't even asked if everything was OK with us, but the other (Korean) guests were. - We didn't have any cutlery or anything like that at the table; when we asked, the things were sloppily slammed onto the table. - When we asked if we would get another plate so that all the bones could be stored there, napkins from the neighboring table were rudely thrown onto our table. Even our table neighbors apparently took pity and kindly gave us one of their plates. The owner's tone was out of touch with us for the entire evening we spent there, and she even seemed aggressive to us. Sure, we knew that it was just a snack bar and not a restaurant, we work in the catering industry ourselves and know that the job is stressful and can understand some things more or turn a blind eye. But what we experienced in this snack bar was an absolute disgrace and, in our opinion, a no-go! Good food or not, but we felt absolutely uncomfortable, rather unwanted. We, ourselves employees in the restaurant, find it very derogatory when guests don't leave a cent tip at the end of their visit, but we really couldn't leave a cent tip that evening because we and the owner were treated so incredibly disrespectfully of the restaurant also have to understand that something like this has consequences! Regardless of whether it is a restaurant or a snack bar, you should be able to show a certain humanity, which for me also includes respectful treatment, especially when dealing with customers. I would even have liked to give zero stars, but it wouldn't be fair to the food, which was really tasty, but not good enough to make me want to put up with the poor treatment again. Don't judge a book by its cover! Weaving between the construction sites on the other side of the street, we saw the East Asian snack bar in front of us. Rather whack on the outside, but Digga, the food is the Mjölnir! Because there is a lack of staff, it can sometimes take longer... a small setback, but still great! The rather inconspicuous Korean is a real secret first pick with its selection of bulgogi, grill, soups, chicken etc.! We had ordered the homemade popular doublefried crispy Korean chikin to take away, half-and-half, soy sauce and sweet-spicy. There was also the pickled radish and handmade kimchi. Unfortunately nice! Price performance top! The two of us cracked the chikin and were completely full.

The Korean Fried Chicken is very good. The pork belly is also really good. Points deducted for the extractor hood. After eating here, you smell like you've been in the deep fryer yourself. But you can do that for the fried chicken. I will do it again...

I came to eat alone at noon and ordered a beef bibimbap and a fried chicken with chives and soy sauce. The specialty of this restaurant is that kimchi is added to the bibimbap, so the taste is a bit sour. The chive fried chicken is actually mustard flavored, just with shredded green onions on top of the mustard fried chicken. The fried chicken at this restaurant uses whole chickens, including drumsticks, wings, and breasts, without removing the bones. In addition, the quality of the paste at this store is relatively good and the thickness is appropriate. There is only an old Korean couple running the store, there are no waiters, and they only accept cash. And it is an open kitchen, so the smell of oil smoke is quite strong. There is also a TV broadcasting Korean news.

I love this place for the authentic feel and in particular their incredible korean fried chicken. If you don‘t know it you have to try it - best with an ice cold beer. I have to admit I haven‘t tried anything else from their menu. I always end up ordering „Chicken & Beer“ only because I love it so much.

Von außen betrachtet rechnet man nicht mit so einem leckeren koreanischen Imbiss. Man muss zwar etwas warten, da das Essen immer frisch zubereitet wird. Aber es lohnt sich.

Sehr authentisches koreanisches Essen zu fairen Preisen mit sehr freundlichem Personal. Auch wenn auf den ersten Blick das Essen teuer wirkt, sind die Portionen sehr groß und man kann sich die Reste einpacken lassen.

한식이 너무 그리워서 떡볶이 먹으러 방문했어요. 가게 입구에 비치된 메뉴를 골라서 카운터에 직접가서 주문하고 원하는 자리에 앉으면 됩니다. 따로 자리 안내를 안 해주시기 때문에 직접 자리를 찾아 앉으셔야해요. 매장 내부가 작은 편이고 손님도 많아서 음식이 나오기 까지 시간이 조금 걸리니 여유있게 가시는 것을 추천합니다! 한식 메뉴도 다양하고 특히 치킨이 유명한것 같아요. 저 빼고 다들 치킨 드시더라구요ㅎㅎ.. 저는 떡볶이를 먹었는데 쌀떡과 각종 야채 (파절이, 양배추, 양파, 대파, 고추)가 들어있었고 당면도 함께 들어있어요. 깔끔한 맛이었고 정말 맛있게 잘 먹었습니다! 쌀떡이라 쫄깃쫄깃하고 정말 맛있었어요. 계산도 카운터에서 하시면 되는데 계산하면서 사장님과 대화를 잠깐 나눴어요. 제가 주방에서 요리하는 소리때문에 사장님 목소리를 제대로 못들어서 엉뚱한 대답을 한 것 같은데 정말 맛있게 잘 먹었어요! 소스도 외국 한식집에서 파는 요상한(?) 맛이 아니고 정말 한국 맛이었어요!!ㅎㅎ 잘 먹었습니다ㅎㅎ

My favorite Korean chicken place in Hamburg. The place is small and cozy, feeling like you are actually in Korea, eating fried chicken and drinking soju. Every time we come, we will order two types of fried chicken (the spicy and soya ones) and a beef soup. Very authentic and delicious ❤️

Essen, je nach Gericht von gut bis ausreichend. Die Salate sind lecker und schön gewürzt. Die Reis und Nudelportionen sind sehr klein. Die Frühlingsrollen sind ebenfalls sehr klein. Das Preisniveau ist aber gehoben. Teilweise wird das Essen auch nicht heiß, sondern lauwarm serviert, dadurch wird es auch während man isst, sehr schnell kalt. Der Tintenfisch war auch nicht gar, bzw. zu wenig gegrillt und noch zu hart. Ebenfalls wurde der Tintenfisch nicht richtig sauber gemacht, da die Haut vom Tintenfisch nicht entfernt wurde, was sehr unangenehm beim Essen ist. Fazit: Teilweise leckeres Essen, aber eben nicht immer und bei dem gehobenem Preisniveau erwartet man mehr Professionalität.

Das essen ist lecker, die Umgebung und Lüftung sind leider nicht so schön ; ( Service… kann viel verbessert werden.

Ja, es ist ein Imbiss. Und ja es riecht nach Fett. Und nein, ich würde da nicht hingehen, wenn es darum geht, schick mit den Schwiegereltern essen zu gehen. Aber! Das Essen ist der absolute Hammer! Vor allem das Korean Fried Chicken! Auch alles andere ist extrem zu empfehlen. Es ist authentische Streetfood-Küche. Und wären wir irgendwo in wärmeren Gefilden, würde diese Küche an einer Straßenecke sein und sie wäre voll. Hier ist es ein Imbiss und man ist sich nicht sicher. Aber es lohnt sich! Irgendwo zwischen Backpacker-Urlaub und Anthony Bourdain. Absolut zu empfehlen!

Das Personal ist sehr unfreundlich und hat die ganze Zeit das Essen bedient NUR an die Gäste, die das Essen mitnehmen wollten. Viele Gäste, die nach uns gekommen sind, haben das Essen vor uns bekommen. Wir haben mehrmals sehr höflich gefragt, wo unser Essen ist, würde aber uns immer sehr unfreundlich geantwortet. Dazu stinkt der Laden ungemein nach Fett.

Alleine der Name Asia-Imbiss verheißt eigentlich nichts Gutes. Das Interieur wirkt auch eher so wie das eines koreanischen Imbisses, aber in Korea. Es scheint so, als hätte in den 90gern hier eine koreanische Familie ihr Glück gesucht und dann das Restaurant Waben Asia Imbiss genannt um den vorsichtigen Deutschen an die leckeren Gerichte ranzuführen. Hier gibt es noch Selbstbedienung und normale Fritz Cola und normales Bier für 2€ bis 2,50€. Das Essen, besonders das Fried chicken ist ne Bombe, kostet aber auch sportliche 19 tacken. Ist es aber wert. Sonst nur koreanische Gerichte und diese sind alle sehr sehr lecker. Ein weiterer Tipp sei der Kimchi-Eintopf, besonders wenn es draußen kalt ist. Zudem essen waren außer uns nur Koreaner im Lokal, was immer ein gutes Zeichen ist. Wieso rennen die Leute nur in diese schrecklichen Fancy-Hipster-Läden und trinken 0,2 Liter Cola für 8 Euro? Ich würde mir sehr wünschen dass es mehrere solche wirklich autentischen asiatischen Restaurants ohne viel ChiChi gibt.

Wir waren am letzten Sonntag zum Abendessen. Was wir bestellt haben, war koreanische Nudelsuppe und Pasta. Sie waren super lecker!!! Es wurde sehr freundlich bedient. Preisleistungsverhältnis sehr gut!!!
