I recommend making a reservation, it's very popular and if you come spontaneously it can get a bit hectic. Service and food were excellent!

Food was good - you have to order and pick up at the checkout, i.e. pay first, then enjoy ;) Portions are large, side dishes are nice.

From the opening on Rentzelstr. to guests in this restaurant. Since moving to Kleine Seilerstr. usually only at lunchtime with pickup, as it is very loud and chaotic in the new rooms. For cost reasons, the pork in the popular schnitzel has long been replaced by chicken. What is sporty is that in the summer of 2024, with falling inflation, the dishes on the lunch menu increased by a good 25% (from 9.80 to 12.50). It can't be the fault of the service, it doesn't exist at lunchtime: you order at the counter, take the drinks out of the cupboard yourself, take cutlery and glasses to the table and pick up the food from the counter. And when you pick it up, the VAT is still 7%! It would be nice if this was thought about again, for example about a collection discount.

Everything is made possible here! Before our musical we reserved a table at Han-Mi. Due to a combination of several things, our turn was 50 minutes later. We asked at the entrance if we could eat within 25 minutes and the waiter said it might be tight. What can I say, the food came in no time, it was absolutely delicious and the service was simply fantastic! (And we made it to the musical in time too!) We'll definitely be back!

Unfortunately we were very disappointed. Unfortunately the meat quality wasn't the best. The side dishes for the grill are very rare. There was only a small bowl of rice each additional €2. The music was too loud and didn't match the food. RnB and hip hop. The menus were all stuck together and some were not legible. Hygienically a no go for us. The benches were all broken and the artificial leather was torn. The soap was empty in the toilet.

Highly recommended, not just for the KBBQ. Other dishes are also very good. Very authentic and delicious. Class service.

We discovered this Korean by chance and stopped in here after our visit to the musical. We had glass noodles with beef, a bowl of salmon and, for dessert, sweet potatoes with honey and ice cream with coffee. Everything was very freshly prepared and tasted excellent. The hot sauce provided was really good spicy too. The waitresses were very friendly, not too intrusive, but always with a look at the table if you had any questions. When we're back in Hamburg, we'll definitely be happy to do it again!

KOREAN BBQ- it was really delicious!

It was so delicious that I thought this was Korea while I was eating it. I had the beef bulgogi lunch special on Tuesday, and the texture was a bit disappointing because it wasn't sliced ​​as thinly as in Korea, but it was still delicious!! The portion size was really large.. The soup that day was a bit bland, but all the side dishes were delicious. I also had red bean shaved ice, and wow, the snowflake shaved ice was just as good as Sulbing.. Two chewy red bean rice cakes are also included. No matter what you order here, it's a store with the basics. Are Germans picky about ratings? Someone said it was delicious but made me wait for 15 minutes. No problem at all. There are quite a few Germans in the store than I thought. I want to come every day...

I’ve worked in Korea, and live in Chicago where we have a large Korean diaspora and many excellent Korean restaurants. Having said that, I would rate Hanmi as truly “world class”, and quite reasonably priced. Anyone giving this restaurant less than 5* probably hasn’t acclimated their palate to Korean cuisine. It takes time and experience to develop a taste for this truly unique culinary tradition. Pro tip: It can be exceedingly difficult to get a table for dinner due to extreme popular demand (we failed 3 of 3 attempts) but we have had 100% success rate during the lunch cycle.

The food was very tasty, I recommend the marinated meat, simply divine. The service was great, there is a family atmosphere, they even bring small plates and cutlery for small children (my daughter is 2 years old). The price we paid was reasonable. I can completely recommend it! 🤗

Unfortunately, the dishes that are available with sweet and sour sauce are not labeled. Unfortunately, I had one of those. So I complained, they didn't make me an offer. What a shame! So be sure to ask where you can get which sauce. The kimchi pancake was my absolute highlight!

Overall the experience was okay, but I wasn't particularly impressed with it. The young gentleman who served us was very friendly and accommodating. Even though he accidentally served us the wrong dish, he immediately offered to swap it. Since we had already eaten half of it, we declined the offer. He still remained helpful and showed understanding without feeling uncomfortable. The young lady, on the other hand, reacted less politely and only commented: “And you only noticed that now?” – a somewhat cheeky remark. In terms of value for money, I found it to be rather average; the prices seemed a bit high to me. Although the restaurant is located on the Reeperbahn, which could explain the higher prices, the overall price level still seemed too high to me.

Great place with great authentic Korean food. We've been there with the work colleagues and had a lot of fun. I got myself a bibimbap with beef that came together with a soup, a kimchi pancake and an aloe juice. All dishes were great.

Great restaurant! A special highlight of our visit was the table grill. It was great fun grilling your own meat! In addition, both the meat and the various side dishes tasted very good. Same with starter and dessert. The ice snow in particular was something we had never tried before but really excited us. The selection of drinks is also great! The service also made our stay a wonderful experience, as it was not only very attentive and friendly, but also took the time to explain everything to us in detail.

Wer die authentische koreanische Küche genießen möchte der ist im Hanmi auf St. Pauli absolut richtig. Von der U-Bahn Station kommend an den tanzenden Türmen vorbei befindet sich das Hanmi in einer ruhigen Seitenstraße. Mein Gericht (Meeresfrüchte gebraten) war extrem lecker. Über die Schärfe habe ich mich zuvor beraten lassen; etwas dezenter, hat dem Geschmack aber nicht beeinflusst. Sechs verschiedene Beilagen und Reis sind mit dabei. Geschmacklich sehr gut. Eine absolute Empfehlung und auch preislich gerecht (Preis lag beica. 20 €). Das Lokal ist meist gut besucht, ich habe auch ohne vorherige Reservierung einen Platz bekommen. Bitte Zeit zum genießen mitbringen.

The food was so-so from my experience as I thought that the main dish was bad, but the side dishes were fine. Alert: Korean BBQ is only available at dinner time as they told me. Alert 2: It's self service which means that it you have to take and return the food yourself.

2 years ago I had the worst culinary experience of my life. I have the luck of tasting the worst noodles, no taste-cold-slimy mass. If you like no taste this is your place.

We were the last customers to order, just before the kitchen closed. Nevertheless, everyone was so welcoming and didn't make us feel unwelcome in the slightest. On the contrary, every single service person was so, so warm! We didn't wait long, everything was served at the same time and it was really delicious. I can only warmly recommend it. It reminded us so much of our Korea trip. Just great!!

Has raclette vibes. We had the BBQ. Overall, it's totally fine to do it, but it's nothing great. In the end it is far too little for the price and the table is completely filled with 4 people. They say you get 6 side dishes per meat order. But for 4 people there are only 6 side dishes and nothing is added. I went out hungry. Next time get a simple dish instead of the BBQ

First time in a Korean restaurant. A table reservation is highly recommended here. The staff are very attentive and friendly and also advise you on the choice of food. My meal (a seafood stew) was served so hot that the soup was still bubbling. So it took longer until it reached eating temperature. Several side dishes were also served that were not ordered. They're just part of the food. Remember - everything that is red is spicy 🌶️. We didn't try the grill. The taste was very good and yet different from what I imagined as Asian. I think we will come by again.

Food delicious (table grill), service attentive and helpful. The reduced decoration is actually pleasant, but unfortunately it seems a bit interchangeable here. Beautiful restaurant with excellent service

Visited twice since it opened. The price is a bit expensive, but the food is still delicious👍. The staff are also friendly. I highly recommend the beef stir-fry. Bindaetteok Pancakes were reduced in size and lowered in price. Side dishes are refilled. Bingsu for dessert is really delicious. Reservation required. Also available online. Lunch is cheap and delicious🥰

Big place with a lot of choices for Korean dishes, with veggie friendly option. You can opt for the grill to cook your own meat or have one of the dishes they prepare for you. We had the marinated beef bibimbap and it was delicious! It also comes with complimentary side dishes (really enjoyed the kimchi and the bean sprouts) and soup of the day, the portions are quite large too.

The presentation of the food is interesting and something different - due to the many components that are served throughout, you have a long meal. However, the interior is not particularly comfortable. Some of the cards are heavily glued and the toilets are more reminiscent of a pub. Service is nice and attentive, but probably not specialist staff. A lot of things should change beyond the food.

By far the best and most authentic Korean restaurant in Hamburg since it opened years ago on Grindel. Has lost nothing in terms of quality, taste and service over the years.

Everything perfect! The food was super tasty and you were full. You got combination tips and tips for beginners. The atmosphere as a whole was also very pleasant.

There were two of us here and we ordered two meat platters to grill (spicy marinated pork and entrecote). You also get lettuce leaves and some side dishes as a topping, e.g. kimchi, garlic or mung bean sprouts. The food was very tasty and you grill everything yourself at the table. The service was extremely friendly and quick. The portions of the toppings and sauces could be a little more generous. But you still get full. I can recommend Han-Mi to anyone who likes Korean cuisine.

We've been there ever since Han Mi opened in Rentzelstrasse, when the children were just 3 and 5, then Han Mi had to move out and it took years until the new store opened...we still enjoy going to Han Mi to this day and our children love the food, there is no better Korean restaurant with a table grill...almost every Sunday is Han Mi Family Day for us...

Lunch is an absolute insider tip for value for money. Based on its pure appearance, you would never believe Hanmi to be such an authentic Korean cuisine. I have never eaten such an outstanding, fresh, thoughtful combination in Seoul. A garlic soup as a side dish with pickled chilli ginger strips was my highlight. Price is unbeatable. Large restaurant with many seats. Probably Korean BBQ in the evening.

My partner and I spontaneously looked for a place to eat on the last day of our trip to Hamburg and came across Han Mi right around the corner from our hotel. Neither of us have had Korean food before and this restaurant has definitely convinced us to eat Korean food more often. Great restaurant - nothing to complain about!

Decent food that's easy to order and nowadays well priced and portioned. It doesn't look nor feel Korean when you enter (more like a pub) but the food is fine and aome tables are equipped with a grill for things such as Samgyeobsal or Bulgogi. Both of which i have not recently tried again.
