I was visiting from the USA and was expecting a watered-down (taste wise) version of the butter chicken but the first bite proved me wrong! My entire family was quiet throughout the dinner as everyone could not stop eating!

We really enjoyed our meal here in particular the pakora sauces, palak paneer and the paratha. It's a very nice setting with white linens and royal purple chairs inside. The sidewalk seating wasn't available courtesy of the rain. Great service with concern for the customer. Personally I would prefer spicier offerings but since we'd never been there before I didn't ask. I'm sure they'd accommodate so, ask if you want some heat. All in all a great experience.

Ordered food through Lieferando and it was very disgusting! Completely oversalted and way too much sugar!

It's cheeky to call something like that Indian food. An oil slick with no taste (how can you even make oil tasteless?!), frozen vegetables, a measly portion for €16.90 and a 30 minute delay in delivery. A joke? Strongly advise against ordering here. Only disappointment.

It's very nice and cozy here, very clean. The food tastes great, the plates are even preheated before eating. We were very impressed all around and would love to come back to this restaurant.

Ordered to Ingelheim via Lieferando. The driver initially shook his head and asked me if we didn't have a restaurant that was closer, he would have driven that far. My answer: then it doesn't offer. I wouldn't order again for this reason alone. The food was one star because the rice was at least cooked to perfection. The sauce was extremely watery and the chicken korma tasted like sugar water. Long story short: we couldn't eat it. So to give the driver the all-clear: the korma from the local Italian restaurant is better. We will therefore order here again in the future.

Very nice location, friendly service and delicious food in Mainz Neustadt. Inside, the restaurant was a little dream from 1000 and one nights. We sat outside because it was such a beautiful summer evening. The food was very tasty. We had vegetarian thali.

A naan was forgotten, naan tasted industrial and dry. Daal was not flavorful and lentils were too hard.

Unfortunately, the food was disappointing. Naan was way too dry and barely tasted like garlic. Bartha just tasted sour.

Food 2/5: Had a paneer masala with naan and paratha. The curry was very very unseasoned. A canned tomato sauce is almost spicier. Then it went with seasoning. Naan, incredibly bad 0/5. Paratha middle class 3/5 Service all good 5/5 Ambiance 4/5 But if the food isn't right, then even good service is of no use.

Were there as a couple. Had a couple of beers, salad and two main courses. Very very tasty!! If I'm in the area again I'll come back. Fast service.

Small, cozy Indian-Pakistani restaurant with very tasty food and very polite and attentive service.

Inspired by the many positive reports, we had dinner here. The ambience is simple and not uncomfortable. The toilets take some getting used to, are old and unclean. There was a watering can right next to the toilet, and above it on the shelf was a can of urine scale remover. This was the perfect start to the meal. The service was very polite, attentive and friendly. The location was very well attended. But now to the quality of the food. There were three dips for the thin, large lentil chips. Yoghurt mint looked and tasted like it came from a jar. The other two were similarly one-dimensional and boring. A spicy, oily paste that was salty and not very aromatic. The other also contains salt, with indefinable content. No trace of Indian spices. We know it to be completely different and much fresher and more aromatic. The nan bread was not fresh. I think it was a finished product that was frozen and baked very poorly. Horrible. Pakora and samosa also seemed to me to be ready-made products. Boring, no spices, no flavor. This is a thousand times better. The boring, unaromatic taste continued with the main courses. The vegetables were frozen. Broccoli completely soft and overcooked, the rest wasn't any better either. No dish featured Indian spices and everything had the same one-dimensional direction. The rice was good. Simply a tragedy, because Indian cuisine can be so aromatic and spicy. This really makes you wonder what some people are at home and have rated there. We were a bit shocked. This is how you imagine Indian cuisine in a company canteen.

Full recommendation. Friendly and quick service. Beautifully set tables with cloth napkins! Fantastic lentil soup, followed by a mix of four different lamb dishes. Very good and seasoned differently. I was full and happy.

We were here on a Sunday evening and didn't need to make a reservation. There's a lot to choose from. The food was very tasty, there were quite a few starters, which is not a negative thing👍 The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Very nice restaurant, we would love to come back.

We were three people dining at Punjab Tandoori; the restaurant wasn't very busy, so the service and food preparation were quite prompt. The waiter was very attentive, polite, and professional. The cutlery and tablecloths were very clean. The only downside is that the restrooms have become a bit dated. The food was completely convincing and more than sufficient. One should be prepared to eat spicy food and possibly ask specifically about the spiciness of each dish if one is sensitive. All in all, a very rewarding restaurant visit.

I really liked this place, I was here in the morning so there were not many people in the place, a beautiful interior and pleasant light music, the waiter was very polite and helpful, I ordered a kari with fish and mango and got a large portion, half of which I took with me, it was very tasty😋 p.s. Sorry for the stain on the sauce on the tablecloth😅

Unfortunately, 2 out of 4 dishes weren't really good and tasted rather bland (I'm comparing this with other Indian restaurants). The price is also quite exorbitant for the portion size offered. Still nice service and nice restaurant.

I was here for the first time. Without a reservation there was no problem getting a table during the week. I ordered a mango lassi and the vegetarian thali (4 small bowls). POSITIVE: The food was brought quickly by a very friendly waiter and the quantity was sufficient. The restaurant appears clean and well maintained. Plates were preheated. NEGATIVE: The lassi was okay in taste, but a little thin. Unfortunately, the vegetables were not crunchy or soft, but rather mushy to the bite. Frozen vegetables were probably used. The same vegetables were used for both vegetable dishes - only the sauce was different. The sauces didn't impress me in terms of taste either, as they lacked spice and finesse. The raita was also mediocre. CONCLUSION: Overall, the Punjab Tandoori didn't convince me for the vegetarian dish, even though the service was impeccable. For a more authentic experience I recommend the Himalayan Sherpa.

Was my first experience with Indian food and it was super delicious! I had a platter with several dishes, all of which tasted delicious. The service was also very good, so all in all great. 😊

I tried Punjabi paneer masala , to be honest it's the worst paneer masala I tried. Its way too sweet and will never recommend it to anyone. Mutton Biriyani was good and had adequate quantity.

Had food poisoning, lay flat for several days and had massive digestive problems for two weeks. A friend reported something similar. Never again Punjab Tandoori. You can just as easily help yourself to the leftovers from public trash cans and probably still have a higher hygienic standard.

Wir bekamen eine sehr leckere Vorspeise mit verschiedenen Soßen zur Auswahl. Das Essen wird in Schalen auf einer Heizplatte serviert. Dazu gibt es warme Teller. Der Service ist sehr freundlich.

Wir fanden es sehr wieder sehr lecker. Es war gut besucht, aber 2 Tische waren frei. Bedienung sehr freundlich. Es gab einen Gruß aus der Küche und das Essen kam flott. Wir hatten die 101, eine Kombination aus 4 Gerichten. Sehr lecker ist auch der Reis.

Wir waren zum ersten Mal da. Es hat uns sehr gut gefallen.Das Ambiente nicht übertrieben oder überladen wie in anderen indischen Restaurants. Schön eingedeckte Tische, alles blitzsauber. Unser Essen war spitze. Es hat sehr lecker geschmeckt, die Portionen üppig. Die Speisenauswahl sehr umfangreich . Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis gut, sowohl bei den Getränken als auch bei den Speisen . Der Service ist flott, aufmerksam und sehr sehr freundlich ohne aufdringlich zu sein. Gelernt ist gelernt, das merkt man sofort. Wir werden definitiv wieder hingehen! Die teilweise negativen Bewertungen hier können mein Mann und ich nicht nachvollziehen.

Zum ersten Mal da gewesen. Das Essen war hervorragend, das beste indische Essen was ich bisher in Mainz gegessen habe. Guter Service. Preis Leistung Top. Also wir waren sehr positiv angetan und werden sicher wieder kommen. Das Restaurant scheint uns nicht bekannt in Mainz, obwohl es verdient wäre, das man es kennt. Also alle die indisches Essen mögen unbedingt hingehen.

Das Aloo Chana Masala schmeckte total langweilig, die Sauce war komplett wässrig und kaum gewürzt. Das Nan war kalt und zäh. Für diese Qualität definitiv zu teuer.

Essen und Service gut. Das Ambiente ist Geschmackssache, uns war es ein bisschen zu hell und die Einrichtung nicht passend zu dem Essensstil. Aber wie gesagt essen gut und Service ebenso, zum länger verweilen nicht gemütlich.

Essen war eigentlich gut nur nicht richtig warm. Sehr authentisch eingerichtet und freundlicher Service.

Das Essen war sehr lecker und es ist für jeden was dabei, egal ob vegetarisch, vegan oder wenn man es nicht so scharf mag. Die Location glänzt durch ihre liebevoll indisch eingerichtete Accessoires. Auch kann man hier mit Girocard zahlen, obwohl außen steht keine Kartenzahlung. Einziges Manko keine Kreditkartenakzeptanz.

Das Essen war total lecker!!!!!!!Von der Menge war die Hauptspeise absolut ausreichend. Der Service ist total zuvorkommend und fragt regelmäßig nach dem Rechten und das Ambiente natürlich der Kultur entsprechend. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist absolut in Ordnung. Das Ambiente war zwar schlicht aber sehr schön. Der Service war super, sehr zuvorkommend und freundlich. Wir werden sicher bald wieder hingehen.

Der beste Inder in Mainz ! Wir haben jetzt glaube ich jeden Inder getestet in Mainz. Aber der hier ist bis jetzt der beste. Das essen sehr lecker preislich fair und der Service ist sehr höflich und aufmerksam. Sie blauen Wände mit lila Stühlen … naja aber ansonsten wirklich top. Parken natürlich typisch für die Innenstadt schwierig.

The food was delicious, the attendant was kind and friendly, however it was extremely hot inside of the restaurant deprecating the experience. We needed to walk back the hotel without coats to refresh a bit.

Wir bestellen hier seit Jahren essen und waren auch schon 1-2 mal vor Ort. Wir nehmen eigentlich immer das Palak Paneer und Naan und das ist einfach fantastisch. Lieferung immer schnell und zuverlässig.

Wenn ich in Mainz bin komme ich wieder hier her. Sehr gutes Essen.
