In our opinion the best Indian restaurant in Mainz, and we have tried them all several times. Nothing beats the food here. The service is reserved but not unfriendly. Overall, it absolutely deserves five stars.

We stopped in spontaneously and were lucky that a table was available. It's best to make a reservation here, especially on weekends. The service is very friendly and attentive. Everything was very quick, and our food was delicious. You can pay by card, and, in true American style, you can add 10, 15, and 20% tips directly at the machine. We'll be back!

We spent a lovely week in Mainz and discovered the great restaurant. The food was simply fantastic, so we came here again the following evening. The restaurant is really recommended. Indian cuisine that has not yet been “Germanized”. Hopefully it stays that way for as long as possible. The service is attentive and very pleasant. No wonder that the restaurant is usually busy. However, the lamb meat (lamb biryani) tasted a bit bland on our last visit and the green chili chicken tasted a bit watery to my liking.

Packed on a Saturday evening in April. Good thing we made a reservation! You're already sitting quite close to the next table. Service was quick - appetizer arrived before the first drink. That's not so nice. Food was good. Drinks too. All in all, I was missing a bit of heart and soul. You felt a bit worn out. Maybe that was due to the many guests... I would go again.

Eine sehr gute Adresse für Liebhaber der Indischen Küche. Nahezu authentisch , mit sorgfalt zubereitet. Sehr ruhig und cosy. Sehr gutes Essen sowohl die vegetarischen und vor allem die Tandori - Fleischspeisen. Die beste Adresse für Indisches Essen in der mainzer Altstadt.

The atmosphere of the restaurant was good, but it could have been better if the tables were not so close to each other that one could easily join in the conversation of the next table. Unfortunately the service was not satisfactory. Neither a starter, as was served at all other tables, was brought to our table, nor was the request to swap rice for bread taken into account. In addition, the wrong drink was brought. Even when asked for the bill, this had to be done several times in order to finally be allowed to pay. The food tasted good, but unfortunately not completely convincing. To sum up, this was my first and last visit to this restaurant.

Food was decent but it was definitely on the expensive side. Meal for 2 would be 50€ approx. Our order: Vegetable biryani and Butter Naan was good. Paneer tikka masala was decent but oily . Pina Colada was excellent 👌 Service was not satisfactory, as there was miscommunication with the order placed. (I wanted to ask if Raitha was included with the biriyani we had ordered. The waiter said yes and bought it. To our surprise we saw Raitha - 4.7€ approx. included in our bill) We were certainly not happy about the service we received.

The service was good and attentive. The starter (bread with sauces) was also delicious. We also had bread with cheese as a starter. This was crunchy and a good choice for an appetizer. For my main course I had butter chicken. I really like to cook this myself and the cream was too runny for me. I like it more creamy. Taste-wise it was tasty, but I would have expected more flavor/spiciness. Therefore 4/5 stars.

Worst food, extremely bad service and the owner is a very disrespectful towards Indians!! Do not ruin your time going here, absolute money wastage! Running the restaurant in the name of India and still misbehaving with Indians.

The worst Indian food I could ever eat in entire Germany. They made it so bad that I fell sick. Rude owner. The owner Harbans thinks that all Indian come for free food at his restaurant. He is disrespectful to all Indians. Please someone tell him that his restaurants works because of Indian and he is running in the name of India.

My takeaway butter chicken had 3 small fragments of chicken and was technically a soup.

Gehe hier immer sehr gerne zum Mittagstisch essen wenn ich im Homeoffice bin 👍🏻 In allen Hinsichten immer sehr zufrieden gewesen.

Gute Auswahl für Veganer*innen, leckeres Essen, mehr als genug Reis, heiß bei Abholung.

The food had good flavor and the portions were well sized. It was a Saturday afternoon and there was plenty of seating available.

Papad was soft, butter chicken wasn't the best, but good enough. Service is nice.

OK food but significantly short on authentic flavouring. Butter chicken was very bland. Poor selection of authentic Naan breads. Choice reflected what sells rather than providing a quality Asian food experience. Suggest a visit to Balti land in Birmingham, UK would vastly improve their Asian food offering.

Leckeres indisches Essen. Leider mittlerweile auch Recht teuer geworden, aber die Qualität stimmt. Wenn es voll ist ist es nicht ganz so gemütlich.

Das Essen war sehr gut. Allerdings schade, dass es anscheinend bei Schlemmerblock Nutzung keine Papadums vorher gibt. Ansonsten war es einwandfrei

The restaurant interior is really like a king’s Dinner table and staff is really welcoming. I had Kadhai paneer which really had a desi ( pure Indian) flavour of garam masala and authentic spiciness on request. I am going to come once again for sure. 👌🏼

Was there recently and ordered the chicken madras. I was quite disappointed:Tiny pieces of chicken and a tone of sauce. The Naans were good as well the service.

Waren mit Schlemmerblock da. Früher hat jeder als Gruß aus der Küche kostenlos Papadam bekommen. Diesmal hat man es uns quasi untergejubelt. Mussten es trotz Protest bezahlen. Ohne Block kriegt man es anscheinend nach wie vor umsonst.

Ein besuchenswertes Lokal. Wir haben uns hier sehr wohl gefühlt. Der Service war freundlich, zuvorkommend und aufmerksam. Die Gerichte waren sehr schmackhaft. Man hat zunächst den Eindruck, die Portionen seien klein. Aber dem ist nicht so. Man wird satt und ist nicht "überfressen". Ich empfehle mit Vorspeise und Nachtisch drei Gänge. Dann hat man einen schönen "Blumenstrauß" an Geschmäckern und viele Dinge probieren können.

Das kleine, aber gemütliche Lokal in einer Seitenstraße in der Mainzer Altstadt hat uns überzeugt durch eine hervorragende indische Küche und einen aufmerksamen und freundlichen Service. Besonders empfehlenswert ist das „Chicken Khorma“, weiches Hähnchenfleisch in einer köstlichen milden Sauce, das „Raita“ war erfrischend und das „Butter Naan“ herrlich knusprig. Alles wurde auf ansprechendem Porzellan und Rechauds serviert. Wir haben schon in einigen indischen Restaurants in Berlin, Singapur und Abu Dhabi mit sehr hohem Preisniveau gespeist, freuen uns, jetzt ein solches “Highlight“ in Mainz zu angemessenen Preisen entdeckt zu haben. Ein Grund für uns, wieder einmal in Mainz zu übernachten! Tipp: Einen der erfrischenden Cocktails zum Abschluss genießen!

Wir waren hier nach den eigentlichen Feiertagen. Es war nicht voll (angenehm) und das Essen war sehr köstlich. Achtung! Die Portionen sind mega. Bin in ein ganz guter Esser und kümmere mich im Normalfall gern auch um die Reste meiner Frau. Keine Chance hier. Der Service war nett, freundlich und effizient. Können also das Tandoori nur empfehlen.

Wir sind relativ spontan hier her gegangen und haben direkt draußen einen Tisch bekommen. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und schnell mit dem Bedienen. Das Essen hat wirklich lecker geschmeckt und es gab auf der Karte auch viele vegetarische Gerichte. Zudem gab es verschiedene Fleischsorten und Fisch. Die Preise sind durchschnittlich, die Portionen eher groß. Das Restaurant liegt zentral am Ende der Altstadt und ist gut fußläufig erreichbar. In der Nähe findet man auch zwei Parkhäuser.

Super lecker und super freundlich, Preise sind daher sehr fair. Lassi, Nan und Palak Paneer, ein absoluter Knaller! Lieferservice auch alles super!

Ich hatte ein Lamm Korma zum abholen bestellt. Das Abholen hat gut funktioniert. Das Gericht war nicht sehr schmackhaft. Das Lammfleisch war sehr überschaubar. Die Qualität schlecht. Sehr trocken und zäh und fast alle Lammstücke hatten eine Knorpelschicht. Das braucht ich nicht wieder

Die indischen Saucen sind allesamt sehr aromatisch und gut abgeschmeckt. Bei Verspätungen wurden wir benachrichtigt und es gab auch kleine Entschädigungen. Insgesamt aber sehr pünktlich.

Aufgrund eines geschäftlichen Meetings bestellte ich online 2 Vorspeisen und 2 Hauptgänge. Direkt nach der Bestellung erhielt ich eine Mail, in der mir mittgeeilt wurde, dass die Lieferung ungefähr 1 Stunde dauert. Nach 45 Minuten erhielt ich einen Anruf des Betreibers, der mir freundlich mitteilte, das die Bestellung sich verzögert. Als Entschädigung für die verspätete Lieferung erhielten mein Geschäftspartner und ich zwei Flaschen 0.3 Cola Zero. Dies erfreute uns sehr. Doch nun folgte das Essen, das nicht unseren Erwartungen gerecht wurde. Wir bestellten : " Pakoras, Butter Chicken, Samosa, Mango Curry sowie zwei Personen Naan Brot. Die Pakoras waren sehr lecker jedoch vereinzelt sehr fettig. Beim Butter Chicken fehlten mir die indischen Gewürze . Außerdem stimmte das Verhältnis von Hähnchen und Sauce nicht. Es war viel zu viel Sauce vorhanden. Dies fiel auch meinem Geschäftspartner beim Chicken Mango Curry auf . Der Mangogeschmack war in seinen Augen sehr künstlich . Dies führte dazu, das er das Gericht nicht zu Ende essen konnte. Das naan Brot war nicht sehr kross gebacken und kam aufgrund der langen Lieferzeit lapprig an. Geschmacklich war es schlechter als bei konkurrierenden indischen Restaurants.
