This team has my full support! Someone is starting small and humble, striving to make a name for themselves by cooking genuine, perhaps even authentic, food. And not trying to distract with some kind of Maharaja-style kitsch or soulless cuisine. I'm not very familiar with Indian food. I don't even know if there is such a thing as "one" Indian cuisine – after all, it's a huge continent with over a billion people. But what we ate was undoubtedly delicious! We picked up two vegetarian meals. You can see and taste that the ingredients are fresh and prepared by hand. The spices, for example, aren't just some pre-made mix, but, like the vegetables, are clearly added by hand. I'll definitely order from there again and maybe even go for lunch sometime. Most importantly, I'll recommend it to everyone who expects more from "Indian" than just Chicken Bombay. If anyone from there is reading this: Thank you so much for a delicious meal. I'll be back.

I stumbled upon it by chance, went in based on the good reviews, and ate there. That was a stroke of luck because the food is exceptionally good. Everything is homemade and of top quality. It's a small restaurant with a snack bar feel, but in terms of taste, friendliness, and quality, it doesn't need to hide from any restaurant—quite the opposite, in fact. It's one of the best Indian meals I've ever had.

Everything was perfect at Dhawn: Service: Extremely friendly, special requests were also fulfilled. Food: Pleasantly different (for example, the samosas came with different sauces than usual), the main courses very tasty and more "Indian" than in most other restaurants. Ambience: Well, it's a snack bar in an industrial park, so there's no frills. It doesn't bother me if the food is good. Prices: Great! I hope Dhawn will one day become a great restaurant in a different area. And until then, I'll happily go to the industrial park when I want Indian food.

When we got there, we found a lovely little place, and the food was simply amazing! It was freshly prepared right in front of our eyes, and the price was reasonable. I've been to many Indian restaurants where it was just a few pieces of meat or paneer, but here the small bowl was very full, so you were not only full, but your stomach was also filled with lovingly prepared and delicious food. The bhature wasn't oily like in other places; the vegetables were freshly cut and the curry was still crunchy (which is also healthy). We had to wait about 30 minutes, but the wait was worth it for the food.

Tonight we brought food home. Everything was fresh, everything was delicious, and the Indian basmati rice was divine! We'd love to come back.

I found Dawn Food via Google Maps, as I was looking for a quick, hot meal in my area. The restaurant has the ambiance and seating of a fast food stall, and is so inconspicuously located in a parking lot on a side street in the middle of the Mainz-Hechtsheim commercial area that you're incredulous that Indian cuisine is served there. The quality of the food is in such stark contrast that you almost feel sorry for the owner that he can't showcase his culinary skills in a more appropriate setting. The chicken tikka masala was delicious, and I had it with equally delicious garlic naan (garlic bread). The owner/chef was very friendly and gave me detailed advice on my choice of dishes. He also accommodated my special requests and prepared the chicken a little milder. The food would have deserved 5 stars, but I'm deducting one star for the uncomfortable seating and the unpleasant surroundings. If you don't mind the poor ambiance, you can enjoy authentic, high-quality Indian food at Dawn Food at a perfectly reasonable price. The restaurant has since reopened in Wiesbaden, so my comments on the ambiance are outdated.

I went today because of the many good reviews and was not disappointed. The table was placed on the other side of the hut so that I could eat in the evening sun. It was really tasty, the service was very friendly and accommodating and the price was quite normal. A bit inconspicuous from the outside as a hut in a parking lot, but the price-performance, taste and customer orientation are convincing.
