Polite and very kind and professional staff, excellent food with the possibility of taking food home in very convenient containers, elegant, quiet environment with very discreet background music. I highly recommend this restaurant, everyone is very attentive and the service is fast and efficient. We will definitely be back

I like to eat here and order from time to time. The best Indian food in Mainz. The price is a little higher than the others but the taste is outstanding. Well seasoned food and filling portions. Be careful, if you order spicy or extra spicy here you will get it, but that's how it should be! Indian food is fun. Always my pleasure.

Shameless rip-off! I went to this restaurant today and ordered a meal. After I placed my order, the waiter asked me, “AND what bread would you like with it?” I didn't have a specific preference and was like, "I don't know, just bring me anything." I only ate one of the four pieces of bread that came with it. Of course, I assumed that the bread was included in the price - after all, it was just offered to me without pointing out that it costs extra. It was only when I got the bill that I realized I had to pay extra for the bread. This is just a rip off! Instead of honestly informing guests about additional costs, they try to foist extra things on them. Something like that doesn't work! I absolutely cannot recommend this restaurant and will definitely not be coming back.

Indian Palace is great, we have enjoyed eating there for years and absolutely love the service and ambience. We also like to order as Indian Palace has the fastest delivery time we have ever experienced from a restaurant! The vegan selection is also great :) We can only highly recommend it and will continue to be loyal regular customers. :D

Great for delivery! Arrives quickly, is still hot and the naan is great. Eat Doori is a little bit better, but also more expensive.

We were flying to the United States so instead of looking for any options in Frankfurt, we took a train to Mainz and since this place was at 10-12 minutes distance from the train station, I decided to give it a try. I would say it’s a decent place but some dishes were not good at all. For example we tried some appetizers (pakoras and murgh pakora) and felt like it was not cooked properly and too dry. In the curries, the Paneer Masala was good but the Karahi Murgh was tasteless and only small amount of curry and chicken pieces. They even charged extra for lime/lemon which does not happen in any Indian restaurants all over the world (I have been to 18 countries and reviews each place personally). Overall, I felt like a very pricy place for the quantity they provide. The water bottle was priced at whopping 6.90 Euros which is very rare as I tried many Indian and non-Indian restaurants all over Germany during my 3 separate visits. Anyway, felt like I should provide my honest opinion.

We were warmly greeted as soon as we entered, and the atmosphere was cozy, with a touch of Indian flair that immediately made us look forward to the meal. I took the mix plate, which was perfectly prepared: spicy and wonderfully aromatic. The naan breads were fresh and fluffy, an ideal accompaniment to the dishes. Vegetarian options are also available. The service was attentive, friendly and ensured that we felt completely comfortable. I was particularly impressed by the attention to detail - both in the presentation of the food and in the individual adjustment of the level of spiciness. A big compliment to the kitchen and the entire team! This restaurant is a real insider tip for lovers of Indian cuisine. I'll definitely be back and highly recommend it to anyone looking for authentic Indian food. 5 out of 5 stars!

Price and performance match. The cuisine is somewhat adapted to the European palate, but still within reason.

We ordered food to pick up for the first time. The food was well packaged and prepared at the agreed time. Unfortunately, it wasn't until we got home that we noticed that a portion of papadums (paid for) was missing. Then called the restaurant and complained. Since it was too far to pick up, we should receive a credit via WhatsApp. I'm curious to see if this actually works. Our food was very good and impressed us both in terms of taste and portion size. We have decided to dine in the restaurant next time. Thanks for the reply to Indian Palace. When we ordered food to be picked up for the second time, we received a portion of papadums on the house and the portion we complained about. The food was again very good. Here you can get good traditional food in an Indian atmosphere. The homemade bread with garlic and cheese is particularly recommended. The taste is really phenomenal. The main courses are also recommended. If you like it spicy, you will definitely find it here too. The service is attentive and friendly. There is a delicious greeting from the kitchen, homemade bread and three dips - one rather sweet, one spicy and one with, I think, wasabi. It is possible to reserve a table online. However, finding a parking space is a bit difficult. A longer walk is recommended here.

The good reviews about the Indian Palace Mainz were completely accurate. We were warmly welcomed and brought to the table. Afterwards there was a greeting from the kitchen along with the drinks. Our main course was very tasty and, as ordered, very spicy for me. I also treated myself to a small bedside table. A very nice evening with Indians in Mainz. We would love to come back. LG

I visited with friends for my wife's birthday lunch after reading good reviews. But the food taste was not good. Chicken biryani was like chicken pulao, rice mixed with chicken curry, and the worst Chicken biryani. Chicken Bombay and chicken curry was very sweet (even after asking for a Indian level spice) and chicken pieces were like rubber. Please avoid. I should have chosen a better place. Ambiance and service was good though. Maybe because only three tables were occupied during lunch hour.

Great Indian restaurant. Although the location (directly on a rather dull street) is not ideal, the Indian Palace is my favorite for Indian food in Mainz due to its food, fast, uncomplicated, friendly service and good prices.

We have ordered here many times now and have always been very satisfied. Delivery never took longer than 60 minutes, and is usually even quicker. The food was always very tasty and still warm. Varied menu, delicious paneer dishes and great bread variations (not just Garlic Nan). We can only recommend the restaurant :-)

Food is overly spicy and there will never be more spices on it again

One of my favourite indian restaurants outside India. It has a beautifully quaint and local interior, plenty of seating and outdoor seating. Beautiful service by the staff and also very very delicious food!

Fantastic food! We have it delivered. Therefore I can't say anything about the ambience. Very quick and incredibly tasty. Palak paneer and all tikka dishes are recommended. Also suitable for vegetarians.

The food and service were very good. It's great that it's open all day and you can also go out to eat outside of the usual hours. There are also a few tables outside, but the surrounding area doesn't necessarily invite them. The TV screen with films on a continuous loop without sound irritated me personally; I generally don't like that in restaurants. Still highly recommended

Worst place ever to eat. My entire family got food poisoning after eating their food. We spent almost 100 euros on food! Both the male waiters were also so rude; they lacked the friendliness the waiters should have. One of them even talked so rudely to us. So bad. This restaurant should be clossed. I think there is no food control or hygiene rules and regulation. Never coming back to it. I think the reviews they have on google is fake as well. Very bad. Only the interior was good. I legit ignored the waiters rudeness, but I can't ignore the extremely bad food!!!

Sensationally delicious Indian food! We have now ordered three times and tried 5 of the large vegan selection of 15 dishes. Even supposedly standard dishes like yellow lentil dal are a bit more sophisticated than those of most other Indians, and the prices are absolutely fair. Will order again next week :)

Als Gast fühlt man sich hier einfach wohl. Dazu trägt neben dem sehr schmackhaften Essen auch die ungekünstelte Freundlichkeit der Bedienung bei sowie auch die gemütliche Einrichtung. Wir wurden sehr freundlich empfangen, durften uns einen Tisch aussuchen und wurden bei Fragen zu den einzelnen Gerichten sachkundig beraten. Wir mussten nicht lange auf das sehr gefällig präsentierte Essen warten, dessen Duft uns schon das Wasser im Mund zusammenlaufen ließ. Die Vorspeisenplatte war ausgesprochen delikat und abwechslungsreich, von den Hauptspeisen waren wir sehr angetan. Ich freue mich schon jetzt auf unseren nächsten Besuch hier.

We really enjoy going here. There is a great vegetarian and vegan selection on the menu, all dishes are absolutely delicious and special. The portions are large, so you can almost always take something home with you. And what's more, the service is really friendly, you feel very comfortable and welcome here. I can only recommend!

The three of us had dinner at the Indian Palace on Easter Saturday. We really liked the ambience; We were served promptly and very friendly. The Shahi menu for two was tasty and delicately spiced; my son chose the "Butter Chicken". The waitress gave us the remaining food that we couldn't handle in a "doggy bag". The restaurant is recommended.

We ordered. The food is really tasty, but way too expensive. We also got a mini portion (3 tablespoons) of the carrot pudding for which we got 5 euros...

Food was good but price performance can be improved. I felt a bit ripped off having paid €8 for 4 pieces of chicken and €5 for 5 spoons of carrot pudding. For the prices you can expect a little more.

It's a shame that we can only give 5 points for food and especially service. The Indian Palace in Mainz deserves more. We now go there regularly and have never been disappointed. The food selection is good and offers a wide range of vegan dishes. The food tastes 100% authentic and the service can't be beat. We have finally found “our” Indian of the region!

Please don't go Everyone in the restaurant is very rude and takes advantage of their employees. The food there is a disaster and the kitchen is very dirty. There is no attention to hygiene throughout the restaurant, especially not in the kitchen.
