Nice Indian restaurant with a great ambience and attentive service staff. The Chicken Tikka Masala was very tasty. The only thing that bothered me a little was the six ice cubes in the Mango Lassi. Overall, a decent price-performance ratio and definitely worth a visit due to its central location in downtown Mainz.

A nice restaurant but I wasn't blown away. We mostly had starters, as we wanted to try out multiple dishes. The pan-fried cauliflower was great, the papadoms were just ok. The stir-fried mushrooms were very nice, but the pan-fried batat was too seasoned. Generally everything had too much cumin which just killed the taste. The naan bread with garlic was quite good, but the vegan main dish we had - grilled tofu with rice and salad - extremely poorly seasoned but with tons of cumin. We actually left almost half of it. It was also quite expensive in my opinion. The staff is very friendly and polite, and the ambiance is nice. To sum up - give it a try but find dishes which are reasonably seasoned and don't expect the perfect indian food.

Looove this place! Their butter chicken is so tasty, maybe the best one I tried. Tikka Masala is also great. The portions are huge, I arrived very hungry both times I visited, and left full, even left some rice because I couldn’t eat more. I forgot to take photo of the main course, but the starter papri chaat was delicious also. Stuff is friendly and prices are fine. :)

Such a shame. We ordered through Lieferando, but the food never came. We pre-ordered it for the evening and when it just didn't come, I called. The driver said the food was left in front of the door, which is what the app said. A photo was taken. Simply a lie. I've never noted anything like that in the app, I'm stuck in the apartment with a broken foot and there's no food anywhere. Then it was a bit hectic that I would get my money back (yes, but that goes without saying!). Too bad! We always enjoyed the food, but service like this is simply not possible. And that's what you get told at half past ten, when most of the kitchens are already closed anyway. Could have been handled differently! I like to let myself be talked to, mistakes happen, but that's not possible!

Delicious food, nice atmosphere, but you have to bring some time

Wir waren gestern mit einer RIESEN Gruppe von etwa 17 Leuten dort. Und ich muss sagen, dass das Restaurant absolut nicht für solche großen Gruppen ausgelegt ist. Aber sie haben ihr bestes gegeben und letztendlich hatten wir wirklich einen Tisch quer durch den Raum. (Wenn wir andere Besucher genervt haben, sei es wegen der Lautstärke, tut mir das leid 🥲). Wir haben zwar etwa eine halbe Stunde gewartet, bis wir die Gerichte bestellen konnten, aber es war oke. Der sonstige, sehr gute Service hat alles wett gemacht. Und die Speisen waren mega! Ich empfehle dir schwarzen Linsen mit Sauce zu 100%, da ich mir ein indisches Gericht genau so vorstellen. Die Limonade war sehr besonders. Etwas Vergleichbares habe ich bisher nicht getrunken. Die Preise sind etwas zu viel für die Portion, da man, um satt zu werden eigentlich noch Naam dazu bestellen müsste, dennoch war es ein ausgezeichneter Besuch mit sehr leckerem Essen. Und Respekt dass man mit einer solch großen Gruppe so gut umgegangen ist. Alle Speisen kamen gleichzeitig!

Essen war sehr lecker und gut ausreichende Portionen. Sehr freundliche Bedienung und aufmerksam, Vorspeisen kamen wenige Minuten nach der Bestellung. Können das Minze-Lime Lassi empfehlen. Etwas weniger hell wäre schön.

Nice Indian restaurant in Mainz's old town with a good location. The food was delicious, and the vegan offering was particularly impressive. Unfortunately, the service was a bit chaotic - we got the wrong food at first (who thinks I prefer a naan burger to curry?). The prices are rather high - the three of us quickly ended up at €100. It's not quite authentically Indian, but it tastes good and the atmosphere is right. You can definitely go there again, even if there are alternatives for real Indian cuisine. 4 stars!

The service simply has the sun in its heart. That was really fun. She was very friendly and attentive, even though she had a lot to do. And I could indulge in the Garlic Naan and Lentil Dal anyway 😅

The food was really very good and was served very quickly. A table reservation is definitely recommended as it can get very crowded.

Well I am used to Indian restaurants from the UK and EatDoori wasn't great ... The lamb bhuna was fine, not spicy but was okay, the garlic naan was unfortunately too dry, not looking like a garlic naan, the papadoms also felt industrial and lacked taste. Some of my friends went for the Kulfi ice creams and were also disappointed. All in all, a restaurant that does not try to be tasty, just tries to make okay food. Would be fine if it was a canteen for 15€ but for a 40€ meal it does not meet expectations.

eatDoori has changed a lot since my last visit a year or so ago... The dishes are a lot more authentic than the typical curry places in Germany. Can't go wrong with the usual favourites such as chicken tikka masala. As with any good indian restaurant the vegetarian options are as good as the meat ones... The samosa chaat was delicious! I went for the whole hog with starter and main as described above, and lassi, kulfi which I hadn't have for a long time and rounded it off with a masala chai 👌 good to see the improvements, keep it up!

Die Reservierung über OpenTable war reibungslos. Im Restaurant hatte man die Reservierung erhalten. Freundliche und kompetente Bedienungen. Ambiente etwas kühl, dementsprechend wird es lauter wenn viele Gäste anwesend sind. Das Essen war hervorragend, sowohl Vorspeisen als auch Hauptspeisen. Weißwein und Lassi sehr empfehlenswert. Sehr gerne wieder.

We have been here many times and are enthusiastic about the vegetarian and vegan cuisine! The dal in particular is ordered every time we visit. Overall, a great spot in Mainz to spend a nice evening with friends or as a couple.

Probably some of the best indian food I've had in continental Europe. I'm a vegetarian so I can only comment on veggie dishes but all the dishes were excellent - dal tadka was probably the highlight for our table, paneer dish had really soft paneer and quite flavourful. Highly recommend it.

Great, but unfortunately no card payment

Went there twice in a row, both times the dishes we ordered were very tasty and perfectly seasoned. What we also really liked was the sharing platter - although it was too much as a starter for 2, it was more for 3. We were kindly pointed out about that.

Ordered today via Lieferanto, delivered by Uber Eats, very strange, but it doesn't really matter. Unfortunately the entire meal was cold and the salad was wilted. It's a shame, it used to be good.

Is the food bad? No. But do not expect this to be anywhere near authentic Indian food. The staff are kind and attentive, the place is nice (specially if you sit outside), and the food is ok. Nevertheless, if you are looking for authentic Indian cuisine with the spices and flavours that one associated with such a rich culture, you will be disappointed.

Definitely one of the tastiest and affordable thali I had in Germany. We went on a weekday afternoon, the service was quick, less crowd. The prices are good for the portion size. We order sweet sour Gobi, 2 chicken tikka thali and last but not least Khulfi. It was all good. Definitely a recommendation if you are around Mainz Marktplatz or Krischgarten.

The order arrived incomplete and on the phone they promised a delivery within an hour. Nobody came, no information, no response, nothing. Unprofessional

We went here when visiting Mainz. It was a pleasant day and we were looking for something to nibble on. This place was perfect. The garam chai was great. Could have been a bit more kadak though. We got paneer burger instead of the wada pav that we ordered. But the waiter was kind enough to change it to wada pav. Momos were good enough. Samosas were decent. Salted lassi was pleasant.

If you love Indian cuisine, you should definitely come here. The food was super tasty and a little more modern than other Indian restaurants. Expensive and a bit too small portions but very tasty

The last time we were there we celebrated my birthday. Despite the fact that we hadn't made a reservation, the waitress quickly found a solution to seat us. In general, the service is very competent, friendly and helpful. The food is great and there is definitely something for everyone here! Lots of vegetarian and vegan options and also a top selection of drinks. For my birthday I also got an incredibly delicious little cheesecake on the house, which we were all happy about! I always enjoy coming to eatDOORI 🫶🏼

Wer die Indische Küche liebt, sollte hier auf jeden Fall herkommen. Das Essen ist super lecker. Neben Fleischgerichten gibt es auch viel vegetarische und vegane Gerichte. Es kommt also jeder auf seine Kosten. Der Service war auch toll. Alle MitarbeiterInnen waren sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Terrible experience. The waiter was extremely impolite, he missed the orders several times and didn't recognise his errors.

The service was really super nice and fast. Unfortunately, I didn't like the food. The butter chicken had no seasoning and tasted mainly of tomatoes and I don't know if you prepare the dishes in large pots and then just serve them quickly. .but the chicken was more than overcooked in the sauce and therefore extremely dry and no longer edible for me. Unfortunately the prices are too high for this quality and culinary art. But tastes are different. Just try it out and decide for yourself.

Hatten zwei Hauptspeisen und Beilagen, die Hauptspeisen waren lecker und von der Menge in Ordnung. Die Reispfanne mit 18€ aber doch verhältnismäßig teuer. Eine der Beilagen war ein Salat (Gurke, Tomate, Zwiebel, Zitrone, Koriander) und hierbei handelte es sich dann um eine Untertasse voll geschnittenem Gemüse.. welche 6,20€ kostete. Für den Preis waren sowohl Menge als auch Aufmachung des Salats sehr enttäuschend. Fazit: Essen ist in Ordnung, aber teuer.

Food was great. You have to wave longer at the waitress before you are recognized, even though they are constantly walking past. Atmosphere is more like a fast food bar... it doesn't fit together for me... but that's my opinion... Still 4 stars because it tastes good

EatDOORI always justifies the Indian tests and good service quality.

Really friendly welcome with a (real) smile on your face! Later very flexible with special requests off the menu (small palak paneer as an additional side dish - not available on the menu). Food was great - will come again!
