Went for the first time and wad was positively surprised, great food, great ambiance great service.. loved the indian version from spicy flavor. Great cocktails ( indian ones) Had the papdi chaat and lamb bhuna. both exceptional.. keep it up... Come to switzerland!!! we need u here.

An excellent Indian restaurant at the heart of Mainz with delicious recipes both vegetarian and non-vegetarian. Wonderful hospitality and amazing ambience. Always get a table to sit even if you are a last minute foodie!!! Our absolute favourite, we love to come here again and again to taste a slice of India. 100% recommended!

Die Reservierung über OpenTable war reibungslos. Im Restaurant hatte man die Reservierung erhalten. Freundliche und kompetente Bedienungen. Ambiente etwas kühl, dementsprechend wird es lauter wenn viele Gäste anwesend sind. Das Essen war hervorragend, sowohl Vorspeisen als auch Hauptspeisen. Weißwein und Lassi sehr empfehlenswert. Sehr gerne wieder.

We have been here many times and are enthusiastic about the vegetarian and vegan cuisine! The dal in particular is ordered every time we visit. Overall, a great spot in Mainz to spend a nice evening with friends or as a couple.

Probably some of the best indian food I've had in continental Europe. I'm a vegetarian so I can only comment on veggie dishes but all the dishes were excellent - dal tadka was probably the highlight for our table, paneer dish had really soft paneer and quite flavourful. Highly recommend it.

Great, but unfortunately no card payment

Went there twice in a row, both times the dishes we ordered were very tasty and perfectly seasoned. What we also really liked was the sharing platter - although it was too much as a starter for 2, it was more for 3. We were kindly pointed out about that.

Ordered today via Lieferanto, delivered by Uber Eats, very strange, but it doesn't really matter. Unfortunately the entire meal was cold and the salad was wilted. It's a shame, it used to be good.

Is the food bad? No. But do not expect this to be anywhere near authentic Indian food. The staff are kind and attentive, the place is nice (specially if you sit outside), and the food is ok. Nevertheless, if you are looking for authentic Indian cuisine with the spices and flavours that one associated with such a rich culture, you will be disappointed.

Definitely one of the tastiest and affordable thali I had in Germany. We went on a weekday afternoon, the service was quick, less crowd. The prices are good for the portion size. We order sweet sour Gobi, 2 chicken tikka thali and last but not least Khulfi. It was all good. Definitely a recommendation if you are around Mainz Marktplatz or Krischgarten.

Super delicious lunch menu, Thalia Lunch (with meat or vegetarian) including basmati rice and 4 different small dishes with naan bread & rootis, brilliant chai with oat milk, espresso with the menu at a special price, friendly and fast service, great mango cream for dessert. P.S. Original toilets. We'd love to come back!!!

We went here when visiting Mainz. It was a pleasant day and we were looking for something to nibble on. This place was perfect. The garam chai was great. Could have been a bit more kadak though. We got paneer burger instead of the wada pav that we ordered. But the waiter was kind enough to change it to wada pav. Momos were good enough. Samosas were decent. Salted lassi was pleasant.

Food is ok, but pricy. Staff very friendly.

Immer wieder lecker, tolle Gerichte auf der Karte. Die Bedienung auch immer sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Ich vermisse leider etwas den Streetfood-Stil von früher, das hatte noch mehr Flair. Aber lecker ist es immer noch!

If you love Indian cuisine, you should definitely come here. The food was super tasty and a little more modern than other Indian restaurants. In addition to meat dishes, there are also many vegetarian and vegan dishes. So everyone gets their money's worth. The service was great too. All employees were very friendly and attentive. We'd love to come back.

The last time we were there we celebrated my birthday. Despite the fact that we hadn't made a reservation, the waitress quickly found a solution to seat us. In general, the service is very competent, friendly and helpful. The food is great and there is definitely something for everyone here! Lots of vegetarian and vegan options and also a top selection of drinks. For my birthday I also got an incredibly delicious little cheesecake on the house, which we were all happy about! I always enjoy coming to eatDOORI 🫶🏼

Wer die Indische Küche liebt, sollte hier auf jeden Fall herkommen. Das Essen ist super lecker. Neben Fleischgerichten gibt es auch viel vegetarische und vegane Gerichte. Es kommt also jeder auf seine Kosten. Der Service war auch toll. Alle MitarbeiterInnen waren sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Terrible experience. The waiter was extremely impolite, he missed the orders several times and didn't recognise his errors.

The service was really super nice and fast. Unfortunately, I didn't like the food. The butter chicken had no seasoning and tasted mainly of tomatoes and I don't know if you prepare the dishes in large pots and then just serve them quickly. .but the chicken was more than overcooked in the sauce and therefore extremely dry and no longer edible for me. Unfortunately the prices are too high for this quality and culinary art. But tastes are different. Just try it out and decide for yourself.

We had butter chicken and chicken korma, with naan. The naan was great, but the dishes were a bit poorly seasoned. The chicken was very dry and it just tasted boring. Unfortunately, for the price (€50 for 2 people), it's not a worthwhile meal

Hatten zwei Hauptspeisen und Beilagen, die Hauptspeisen waren lecker und von der Menge in Ordnung. Die Reispfanne mit 18€ aber doch verhältnismäßig teuer. Eine der Beilagen war ein Salat (Gurke, Tomate, Zwiebel, Zitrone, Koriander) und hierbei handelte es sich dann um eine Untertasse voll geschnittenem Gemüse.. welche 6,20€ kostete. Für den Preis waren sowohl Menge als auch Aufmachung des Salats sehr enttäuschend. Fazit: Essen ist in Ordnung, aber teuer.

Food was great. You have to wave longer at the waitress before you are recognized, even though they are constantly walking past. Atmosphere is more like a fast food bar... it doesn't fit together for me... but that's my opinion... Still 4 stars because it tastes good

Really friendly welcome with a (real) smile on your face! Later very flexible with special requests off the menu (small palak paneer as an additional side dish - not available on the menu). Food was great - will come again!

Really Nice restaurant. Starters are really fresh with authentic mint chutney. Good balance of spices in main courses. The Naans were also nice. We had Garlic Naan and Onion Paneer naan and both were really delicious. The staff is super friendly. i have been to this restaurant many number of times and I always like it to be there. Thanks!

Didn't come for dinner until around 9 p.m. The service was relatively quick at our table and took the order. The food came very quickly. Technically speaking, the taste wasn't quite as pronounced as hoped. A little stronger effect wouldn't hurt the whole thing. We actually wanted it to be spicy but unfortunately he didn't notice the spiciness. Unfortunately the rice was very tasteless and not really hot.

We ate there today with a larger group and everyone really enjoyed the restaurant. The service was quick and friendly and the food was delicious - highly recommended. a. the grilled mushrooms! We particularly liked the large selection of vegan dishes. The location in the middle of the old town is also great. Gladly again!

Leckeres Essen, das sehr schnell an unseren Platz kam. Das Personal war durchweg superfreundlich. Es war sehr voll und dadurch recht laut. Wir konnten uns dennoch gut unterhalten.

A beautiful, lively restaurant in the middle of Mainz's old town. A visit can be wonderfully combined with a shopping trip, in the evening or on a weekend. The dishes are lovingly and deliciously prepared and tastefully served.

There were two of us and we had a starter, burger and lamb. The food was very well seasoned and I personally found the burger unusually tasty. I would have liked something different as a side dish. Since I don't like fries myself, I would ask for an alternative on my next visit. My companion then decided sacrificed 😂.

Die Bedienung war sehr aufmerksam und schnell. Das Essen kam auch sehr schnell und war sehr lecker! Der Cocktail - für knapp 11€ - hätte mehr Wumms haben können. Allgemein sehr gut gewesen, jedoch könnten die Speisen/Getränke um 1-2€ günstiger sein.

I ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala + Garlic Naan through Lieferando and was pleasantly surprised! This was definitely the best Indian food I have found in Mainz so far. The portion size was great, the consistency and taste couldn't have been better.

Sadly this eatDOORI is by far not so great as in Frankfurt or Cologne: the vibe is not so strong and the food not so tasty. Moreover, the air is stuffed and soaked with an unpleasant fried goods smell.

I visited here with my parents on there marriage anniversary. They were so happy. You name anything here.Food is amazing. Such a smiling hospitality team. Loved it. Must go . Highly recommend.

Das Essen war sehr gut. Auswahl an Speisen und Service waren auch gut. Der Kellner sind sehr nett bis man sein Essen beendet hat. Danach wird alles sofort vom Tisch geräumt und man wird gefühlt alle 2 Minuten gefragt ob man noch was bestellen möchte oder ob man fertig sei. Die nächsten Gäste warten schon am Eingang und bekommen den Tisch zugewiesen an dem man gerade noch isst. Man wird hier nur abgefertigt und dann soll man so schnell wie möglich wieder aus dem Restaurant verschwinden. Man fühlt sich unwohl und durchs Essen gehetzt.

Perfect cool place to be and eat.

Leider war der "Mangosalat" nicht gut. Die Mangostücke auf dem Blattsalat waren hart weil tiefgefroren und dementsprechend auch nicht frisch. Ansonsten hätte ich mehr als Hauptspeisensalat erwartet als einen einfachen Blattsalat mit wenig Dressing und Tiefkühlmango. Aloo Gobi war ok, etwas unpraktisch fande ich, dass das Schälchen mit auf dem Teller stand und man wenig Platz zum Essen hatte. Fazit: Es gibt definitiv bessere Inder in Mainz, die keine Kette sind, wo man übrigens nicht zusätzlich für Papadams zahlen muss.
