Kilkenny Irish Pub in Berlin

What a great Irish pub in Berlin! The ambience is very interesting and beautifully decorated. There is plenty of seating, but I recommend reserving a table in advance. The food is very good and cheap by Berlin standards. The beer is a bit expensive (6.8 euros) but it's really worth it. There are many different types of beer, not only Irish but also German. The staff is quick, nice and helpful. Almost every evening (not just on the weekends) there is live music and you can dance. On Fridays and Saturdays the pub is open until 2am. Recommended place. The next time I'm in Berlin, I'd love to come back!

Kilkenny Irish Pub in Berlin has been one of my go-to spots for a good pint of Guinness. The beer is great, and the classic Irish pub vibe—complete with good music and a cozy atmosphere—has always been a draw. However, my latest visit left me extremely disappointed, mainly because of the overpriced and underwhelming food. A burger with fries costing nineteen to twenty-one euros is already on the steep side, but I decided to give it a shot. Big mistake. The burger arrived cold, the fries were overly greasy, and the portion was so small it felt like a joke. Honestly, I’ve had better meals at McDonald’s or from the kebab stand around the corner—for a fraction of the price. The quality was nowhere near what you’d expect for such a premium charge. While I understand prices are rising everywhere, these prices are unreasonable, especially when the food doesn’t deliver. If the quality matched the cost, I wouldn’t mind, but this was just disappointing on every level: 33.50€ for 2 Guinness and a burger + tip. Stick to the drinks, enjoy the ambience, but skip the food unless you’re okay with paying too much for very little.

Great service. Table service and football was on! Our waitress was so friendly and attentive.

Drinks were well priced and bartenders were lovely. Singer and guitarist were FANTASTIC. Great vibe all around can’t recommend enough!

Pretty expensive for local beer (€6 for a pint), but great music and a decent place to stop on a walk around town. We didn't stay for food but it looked banging!

Service is simply top! There was a good dose of humor and the Guinness was filled correctly to the millimeter! If I hadn't had to take a train, I would still be sitting there now, eating the Guinness with a big grin like an eight-armed man. Gladly again

Like being at the Jazzing in Cork all over again. Great music and vibe. Place was jointed when I went there but service staff was still able to accommodate me easily. Can't recommend enough

The Irish breakfast parts of it good but parts of it poor. As expected the breakfast was expensive but for 2 cokes and 2 breakfasts came to around 44 euros which seemed steep considering this was the most expensive meal of our whole trip. Toilets are a little dirty but breakfast done the job. Doubt would return.

Came here as tourists and had a wonderful time on NYE! Staff was very friendly and helpful. Security as well, they organized us a place to sit even though we didn't ask. Prices were okay honestly as expected in this area. Live music made the atmosphere perfect. This night is one for the books. :)

Un pub que siempre espero visitar en cualquier vacación que tome a esta fascinante ciudad es The Kilkenny Irish Pub, he estado aquí muchas veces a lo largo de los años, siempre lo pasé bien y así lo demostró en nuestra última visita a aquí. Un pub de gran aspecto, el interior es magnífico, un bar de servicio de aspecto muy fresco domina la sala principal, características de madera oscura abundan en todo este pub, gran decoración y mobiliario , pantallas grandes para disfrutar del deporte y un montón de opciones de asientos repartidos por todo este pub tanto en el interior como en el exterior mirando a las concurridas y bulliciosas calles alrededor de este pub. Estábamos aquí en una noche de diciembre amargamente fría, pub estaba ocupado con un gran ambiente, pedimos cervezas de Berliner Kindl Schultheiss Brauerei (cerveza Schultheiss ) y estos se sirven en excelentes condiciones siendo helado frío y espumoso, nos relajamos y empapamos de la gran vibra en este pub ocupado y popular mientras bebíamos nuestras cervezas. Mi cerveza estaba muy buena, una cerveza estilo lager dorada, ligera y con lúpulo rebosante de sabor y muy fácil de beber sobre todo cuando se sirve helada fría como en este pub, no es de extrañar que este pub sea tan popular entre las cervezas servidas en estas buenas condiciones. Ambos disfrutamos mucho de nuestras cervezas aquí antes de seguir adelante y aunque nuestra visita fue solo fugaz como en cualquier otra visita a aquí nos lo pasamos muy bien. El Kilkenny Irish Pub es fácil de ubicar a lo largo de Am Zwirngraben, que es solo el famoso Hackescher Markt. El horario de apertura es; Lunes a domingo, abierto de 10 am. Vale la pena comprobar si estás en el distrito Mitte de Berlín.

El Kilkenny Irish Pub está situado en la bulliciosa zona de Mitte y es un buen punto de parada antes de la cena y más tarde por la noche. Es un lugar muy grande y estaba razonablemente ocupado un miércoles por la noche. Tuvimos un par de bebidas y ambiente y la decoración era buena. Personal de servicio agradable y eficiente. Volveré de nuevo para una estancia más larga!

Great live music on Monday. But beer prices are hearty!

Spent 3 out of my 4 days holiday here. The staff were so friendly and very attentive. The food was very tasty indeed. I highly recommend this place for food and drinks.

We had two fun evenings in the Irish pub at Hackescher Markt. The live music was atmospheric, there was a lot going on. It's a shame that there wasn't much Irish music played. The beers were mostly ok.

Este magnífico pub irlandés tiene un cavernoso interior de varias habitaciones con muchos accesorios y características interesantes y magníficas áreas de estar en todo su interior. Hay tres áreas separadas a este pub y todos se ven excelentes y cuando fuimos aquí estaba muy ocupado. Este es el mejor pub irlandés de Berlín y en el que hemos estado muchas veces antes. En nuestra visita tomamos unas pintas de cervezas alemanas locales que se sirvieron en perfectas condiciones y a muy buen precio. Really cozy Irish pub. Just as it should be. Fish and chips with Remu was delicious and the Stowford is always good anyway. Is really recommended. If I'm back in Berlin, I'll be back.

Very quaint pub. This is located in the station building. The seating was already very worn out. When we were there, we were told that the toilets could not be used today. Otherwise there is no toilet in the station building. You would have had to ask at another restaurant, so we just stayed for a drink.

Beer was awful. Went in with 4 couples. The ladies had cocktails, which were sent back as they were poor. I sent my beer back as it was awful. Wouldn't recommend this as a place to drink. They did refund us for the drinks and the waitress was fine

Various delicious types of beer (I ❤️ Newcastle Brown Ale) and snacks (here the currywurst “without”) made FC Bayern Munich’s defeat complete. Too bad. Twelve of us wanted to celebrate my best friend's bachelorette party in this pub. However, we were denied an appointment two months in advance. He loves Irish pub culture and especially Kilkenny as his beer of choice. Will try elsewhere accordingly. For me, the best pub is the one that wants to welcome us as guests.

We were here on a Monday so it might feel better/different later in the week but it was very much a station pub. My cider was ok, possibly watered down, but my bf had Kilkenny which was dire.

The Kilkenny is a very large pub, divided into three separate areas. We were there on two evenings and on each occasion there was live music, which, together with the rustic furnishings and the very attentive staff, created a great atmosphere. As the name suggests, you should order a Kilkenny beer here at least once, it's worth it! All in all a great address, gladly again.

My wife and I popped in for dinner and to watch an international rugby game. The excellent and attentive staff managed patrons keen to watch rugby and an international football game simultaneously. Well done! The food was fine. I have no hesitations in returning.

Funny but a bit too down-rocked and expensive.

A perfect Friday evening in the pub. The atmosphere was bombastic and you could feel like you were actually in Ireland. The beers were all tasty and of high quality. Kilkenny, Lucky Lupe and Newcastle Brown Ale are recommended. Add to that sports TV and lots of English guests and the feeling was perfect.

Grat pub it was really busy but no waiting for service they were plenty of bars and servers a great place to watch a match also

Awesome Pub. Went there twice during our Berlin visit. Great atmosphere and even better music (lots of The Cure and other classic goth tunes). Food was very tasty and the service, even with a totally crowded bar, on point as well. Definitely recommend going there if you want a pint in a cosy setting with great music.

It's ok to wait for fries but the beer pops

Definitely NOT a reserved / quiet pub - Saturday night visit. Ended up leaving at 1.30 in the morning because the banter (craich) was brilliant. Adam, the singer / guitarist, covered all of the songs that got people singing along. Range of beer and service was good and reasonably priced.

Always a great vibe over a weekend. Go early as later on it gets completely packed with no inside seating where generally live music is being played.

Very atmospheric pub! Very nice staff, great selection of beers and drinks in general. Lovely simple food. We enjoyed life music and met loads of friendly people. Absolutely must visit!

Very nice pub right in the heart of Berlin. Delicious beers from the British Isles dominate the drinks menu. A very courteous service ensured a cozy evening with some delicious, freshly tapped Guinness from the tap.

For tourists, youth groups, middle-aged people and other party people who want to go all out. Nicely decorated, but that's about the only interesting thing.

We visited this bar a couple of times on our visit to Berlin.On the first night we had a few drinks and dinner,the food was beautiful with a good menu. The next night we went back a little later in the evening for drinks,it was very busy! There was a guy playing guitar in the bar,I think his name was Alan?He was Brilliant!! Great atmosphere in the bar,and a great pint of Guinness there!! Well worth a visit if in Berlin,train station right over the bar so very easy get to.

I was here again last week. The Kilkenny was always my absolute must-have when I was in Berlin again. I've been going there for years, but for about 1.5 years I've always left disappointed. I don't like the new concept of only speaking English. It's nice that as a tourist you can communicate here, it feels like everyone can speak English. But I, as an English novice, find it difficult and would like to be able to order well in German. Been here four times since the new concept, always with the hope of not completely losing my StammPup. However, it was actually the last time for the time being. There is extremely less choice of food. Sweet potato fries, were completely removed. I always loved them there. The salads are a lot smaller, just a shame. The food is good, but unfortunately there isn't as much choice. Unfortunately, things have declined after the new concept. But that's just my opinion, which still knows the previous one and opinions are known to be different. I would still recommend it, but I would at least be happy about sweet potato fries again, then it will remain my go-to place. Definitely a super unnecessary criticism, but I just loved sitting there, eating the fries with a nice salad. All the best to you and the staff is always really friendly.

Classic Irish pub...music, Guinness, nuts...was good!

I got some drinks there with some friends as it was one of the few spots open at that hour, a lot of Irish people that were very unpolite were at that time there leaving their empty glasses of beer on our tables and it was very noisy even outside. One of the staff members was very nice with us as after the closing hours he showed me a place from where I can get something to drink close to the place so no comments on the staff just on the clients…

Terrible! Waiting over an hour for food and not one staff member came to update us! Place seems dirty also. Carpets sticking to your feet. We won't be back!

Being Irish on a trip to Berlin and finding an Irish bar that lives up to our standards is great! We visited twice on our trip and had a great time. Drinks aren’t bad price €12 a cocktail.. we had some lunch which I can recommend the club sandwich it was very good. Only negative thing I can say is that it could do with a clean the chairs and carpet are so dirty and grubby. We had a great time, worth a visit!

Irish pubs are never disappointing and this one was also nice! It’s in a great location so a bit more pricy that the others but worth it . Inside they show all the games and also there is enough room. Good selection of beers too

Hands down the best breakfast I've ever had!!! Served in a hot bowl that keeps it piping the entire time! Great service & fantastic atmosphere, its everything you want. And also, top drawer live music. The best reason to visit Berlin.

€17.5 euros for two spirits and mixers is a bit excessive. Add to that the barman gave me back 1.50 and helped himself to a euro tip.

Visited my Son in Berlin. We stopped in for a few beers and food. Met some others. We ended up staying there for a few hours. Live music and good atmosphere.

Guinness is very smooth, but if you want the typical carbonation of beer, you might be disappointed. Fish and chips are always delicious

Bartender/server was helpful and efficient. He gave me free ice water to go with my beer! Free! The bartenders turned the TV channel to the Laver Cup tennis at our request.
