Very nice restaurant with lots of cool details from the series! The staff only speaks English and no German.

Really fun atmosphere! Great nods towards HIMYM. Drinks and food were decent too. They were a little busy so service wasn’t rapid but overall we had a great experience!

The food is okay, as it's more of a bar, but it's always crowded, so people pile up outside. They're sent away around 11 p.m. Because it's so busy, service can barely keep up, which means it usually takes a bit longer, or drinks get forgotten or mixed up. Otherwise, the bar's interior is perfectly themed, and the cocktails also have names that fit the series.

Oliver is the best bartender of the whole universe. I wish I would be his friend and hope that he winks a bit more when he serves me. Don’t ever let him go.

Loved it, good food, good vibes, nice people, we arrived at Sunday Night the place was quit empty but it was good, we chose where to sit, took pictures, ordered cocktails, nachos and each one of us a burger. Will definitely come back!!! We had a great time!!!!

The bar's atmosphere is super cool for HIMYM fans. The food was okay, but not above average. The waitresses were very nice, but there was one thing that I absolutely didn't like. I celebrated my birthday there last week; it was over 30 degrees Celsius that evening. We all ordered food and several drinks. When a friend of mine asked for a glass of tap water, she said it wasn't possible. By that point, our table probably already had a bill over €100, and you can't expect to get a glass of tap water when it's 30 degrees Celsius outside. Later, after we ordered cocktails, another waitress agreed to a glass of tap water. One of my cocktails was warm, and the other cocktails weren't particularly tasty, so it wasn't bad, but there's definitely room for improvement.

If you love HIMYM, you have to come here at least once. Countless insider tips and Easter eggs on the walls, on the menu, and throughout the restaurant. Plus, super friendly service. It was an absolute highlight.

I visited two weeks ago this pub and the service by the barkeeper Oliver was outstanding!!! Such a great guy and charming!

I came here as a big fan of HIMYM. The decoration is really authentic and remind me a lot about the series. We had mocktail and they‘re very tasty. Schwarley and Schmosby. The menu is also named after the characters which is pretty cool.

Amazing experience my only advice is to rush in that bar!

Nice idea in itself, good burgers, very nice waiter, but the guy was so distracted that we only sat there for 15 minutes without seeing anything... without even being asked... and after ordering the second drink, well, nothing else happened until we paid... a real shame

What a magical place! As huge fans of the HIMYM series, we were able to immerse ourselves in this world for one evening (May 22, 2025) and feel right at home! A magnificent location and a top-notch service team!

I came on my own. Was greeted very politely and sat down right away. Unfortunately when the Place got crowded I was completely ignored.

Have you met my friend "good service" because they have it here. One of the coziest pub I have been to. The kindest friendliest girl worked here on wensday night. Had chilli burger and fries for dinner, was great. Guinnes and Kilkeny red ale for me and for the lady it was Pina colada. Everything was great. Interior was very cool if you are How I met your mother fan, and if you are not its also very cozy. The atmosphere is great. Will come back for sure 🙂‍↔️

Bra känsla och mysigt men väldigt varmt och dålig öl. Vi bad om en enkel lager och vi fick en avslagen öl som luktade äckligt. Personalen var också otroligt otrevlig och verkade nästan vara på droger så som han betedde sig. Otroligt dålig bar!

Unfortunately, the shop is getting old, defective furniture, lots of dust, and demotivated waiters. Too bad.

Basically a nice bar, but service only gets one star. We were asked to leave early because it closed early. The service was also quite unfriendly.

Negligent service - a friend of mine exploded in the men's toilet about 30 minutes before the video was recorded. However, when I visited, this catastrophe had still not been resolved.

If you're a fan of the series, you'll get your money's worth here. There is Guinness, cocktails and our burgers were also delicious. We also received super friendly service :)

Must go if you're a HIMYM fan. A lot of niche Easter eggs and props. Not expensive (in line with other bars).

All in all, a mixed visit, but the atmosphere is perfect for series fans. Unfortunately, the service was a bit limited; we had made a reservation five days in advance for a large group. Unfortunately, no one knew about it when we arrived, and three tables were pushed together in the aisle for us. It's a shame the service was very limited, and the waiters weren't particularly interested in serving us. Nevertheless, I can well imagine that if you're traveling in a smaller group, it's a great place.

The review/recommendation relates to Saint Patrick’s Day. Didn't get any beer because we didn't have a seat. If you want to celebrate Saint Patrick's Day... go to another pub. Molly Malones isn't far away.

Cool pub in the “How i Met your mother” style. Definitely worth a visit for fans. For me, as a non-fan, there is also a lot to look at, good beer (Guinness in a 1.5 L pitcher) and other good cocktails, shots etc... Didn't eat there, but the menu looks very tasty. Would love to go there again.

Extremely good atmosphere. You really feel like one of the characters from himym. Not so pricey for a themed pub. Also you can buy souvenirs from the show, read Barney’s books and enjoy yourself

Yesterday I was there for the first time with a friend because I really wanted to go to the bar because of HIMYM. The drinks and the food were really good, there was nothing to complain about with the service, everyone was very nice and accommodating. For me, the ambience just wasn't that inviting. It may be more comfortable on the benches than at the bare wooden tables. It could be decorated much more comfortably, with more warming decorations. Furthermore, it is a bit too small for the crowd in my opinion. Otherwise a solid bar and recommended!

Maclaren's Pub es un pub que siempre espero visitar en cualquier vacación que tome a Berlín. Me encanta el aspecto de este pub, el interior es magnífico, un bar de servicio de madera maciza domina la sala principal, decoración ecléctica y muebles y un montón de opciones de asientos repartidos por todo este pub, es solo un pub muy bueno para relajarse. Pedimos cervezas a Berliner Kindl Schultheiss Brauerei, estas se servían en excelentes condiciones, ya que estaban heladas frías y espumosas, nos relajamos y empapamos del gran ambiente en este concurrido y popular pub mientras bebíamos nuestras cervezas. Esta es una de las grandes marcas de cerveza de Berlín, es una cerveza estilo lager dorada, ligera y con lúpulo llena de sabor y muy fácil de beber especialmente cuando se sirve helada fría como en este pub, era tan bueno estar en un pub tan encantador disfrutando de una cerveza de calidad y se sentó con mi hermano gemelo, mejor compañero de cerveza del mundo. Ambos disfrutamos mucho de nuestras cervezas aquí antes de seguir adelante y aunque nuestra visita fue solo fugaz como en cualquier otra visita al Maclaren's Pub nos lo pasamos muy bien. Maclaren's Pub es fácil de localizar a lo largo de Boxhagener Straße. El horario de apertura es; Lunes, cerrado. Martes a sábado, abierto a partir de las 18 h. Domingo, cerrado. Vale la pena comprobar si estás en la zona.

MacLaren's es un magnífico pub irlandés que está en una zona brillante de Berlín, donde hay muchos pubs / bares y restaurantes y es un pub irlandés que hemos visitado varias veces. Este bar brillante está situado en Boxhagener Straße y estaba lleno cuando visitamos aquí. Este excelente pub irlandés tiene un interior de temática irlandesa con excelentes accesorios y características relacionadas con la Isla Esmeralda y hay un montón de buenas zonas de estar en todo el interior del pub y es una alegría visitar. Esta zona de Berlín es una de las zonas más concurridas y animadas y este pub era el lugar perfecto para establecerse y tomar unas cervezas en una tarde fría y helada. Cuando visitamos aquí tuvimos allí cerveza de la casa que donde decente y a buen precio. Este es un pub irlandés brillante en una zona brillante de Berlín y es un pub bien vale la pena ir si usted alrededor de esta zona. (Esta es mi reseña de 1 calle del pub irlandés MacLaren). Delicious food and my sister enthusiastic about the setting being a fan of the TV series, allow me to say a few words about the "Berlin Welcome Card": it is useless to push and make tourists pay for a card that boasts discounts with partnerships, which I remember being a source of promotion for one's establishment, if in reality it must be the customer who is almost ashamed of requesting what is his right several times and then also feeling belittled, it all seems like a big mockery as well as a lack of respect, think about it better figure you make...

Super great cosy atmosphere and a nice crew! They helped us get the nicest window seat and were super friendly. The concept reminded me of old times when I was a big fan of How I Met Your Mother. Nostalgy! Will be coming back!

This "How I met your mother" themed Cafe/Bar is a must - visit. They have amazingly curated character themed cocktails like : - Robin Sparkles - Robin Sherbatsky Great ambience, good food, great drinks & friendly cast. (i mean- staff) Ted Mosby would drink here too.

An evening here will be great - it's coming soon. Legendary! Believe me, legendary! Big fans of the series How I Met Your Mother will definitely get their money's worth here with the numerous accessories and anecdotes, which are also on the menu as pictures, showcases or little jokes. For everyone else, a visit to MacLaren’s Pub (even though I thought it was called Puzzels) is definitely good and worthwhile. I'll come back and enjoy all the allusions again. Only boogie boarding is not permitted, you have to know that beforehand!

The food was very filling and filled everyone up. As expected, the prices are a little more expensive. People imagined it would be cooler than it actually was.

For fans its amazing, but its a bit outdated / not maintained The food is good, the prices are fair, and the people are nice But it feels old, while it could feel fresh if there was some better light, a bit more polished and clean and some more attention from the waiters (we waited almost 20 min for the check)

Have come here on multiple occasions with friends and we love the place. The staff has always been so kind and helpful, its a fun ‘How I met your mother’ themed bar but not over the top in anyway either. Has some food options until 10pm that are also good and some good snacks aswell. Definitely recommend to come with some friends.

Wir waren im Oktober im Maclarens Pub. Als HIMYM Fan dachte ich mir das es ein absolutes muss ist, dort vorbei zu schauen wenn ich schon in Berlin bin. Also kurzerhand einen Tisch reserviert und dann ab zum Abendessen hin. Von außen, kamen mir fast Freudentränen die mir aber schnell vergangen sind als ich vor verschlossener Tür stand, obwohl Menschen drinnen saßen, wollte erstmal noch nichtmal der Kellner uns die Tür öffnen! Nach etwa 5 Minuten mit winken, klopfen und zeigen hat uns dann doch der Kellner dann die Tür geöffnet. Wieso die Tür zu war, ist mir bis heute ein Rätsel. Ich dachte schon, dass es ein HIMYM Rätsel oder so ist. Das Pub ist sehr liebevoll eingerichtet, wir wurden aber leider auf die schlechtesten Plätze gesetzt trotz Reservierung. Nachdem der Kellner nur gebrochen Deutsch sprechen konnte und uns nicht klar war wie man hier bestellt haben wir die online Variante gewählt, während wieder Deephouse Musik im Hintergrund lief und die Stimmung eines Pubs ruinierte. Nachdem wir dann Kilkenny als Flaschenbier erhalten haben und noch heute auf unsere Gläser dafür warten, ist uns endgültig der Geduldsfaden gerissen. Wir haben nach einem Bier ausgetrunken und die nächst bessere Braurerei (BrewDog) angepeilt die dann den Abend gerettet haben. Als HIMYM Fan war das leider wirklich die Enttäuschung des Tages.

If you’re a fan of HIMYM, you should absolutely pop in to MacLarens when visiting Berlin. You can treat yourself to a Minnesota Tidal Wave/Robin Scherbatsky whilst enjoying all the popular (and the ones only die hard fans will know) props, slogans and photos. So much fun!

Great bar, the atmosphere of How i met your mother is very well transcribed. The references to the series are really very appreciable, especially on the drinks menu. Special mention to the very friendly waiter who gives very good advice.

The ambience is indeed cool, but as a connoisseur of the himym series I found it very good. But the rest wasn't good at all. Unfortunately you have to wait a long time for food. The last of us didn't get our burger until the rest of us were almost finished eating; and that despite little activity. We didn't like the vegan burger patty at all and had severe stomach problems afterwards. I found the table reservation confusing. It showed online that nothing was available until 10 p.m., but when we called on the phone they said we could come by at 7 p.m. and it was very empty when we arrived.

You can tell that McLaren's was set up with a lot of love and effort, and this is particularly noticeable in the food/drinks menu. Everything in the pub itself is very nice and decorated with lots of memories from the series. However, I sat outside because it was too loud and a little too dark for my girlfriend and I to have a comfortable conversation. The service was very nice and accommodating and always asked nicely if you needed anything. A clear recommendation for every HIMYM fan if you are or live in Berlin.

Please update your opening hours! We went there just before 12 am and the waitress told that they are not serving anymore, even on their webpage it says they are open until 2 am on Friday, and there was a person buying drinks at the counter. We went there just because it was an Irish Pub close by, atmosphere seemed great but cant say more since they were ”closed”.

The bar is super nice and idyllic. You can't speak German with the waiters which is a minus point! The drinks and snacks are also relatively expensive, but it's up to you how much you're willing to pay.

Felt just awesome seeing all the decorations from the actual show and the whole bar is filled with references, great unique pub with a couple beers on draft although it’s a bit away from other attractions of the city
