Kentucky Fried Chicken in Dortmund

I turned a blind eye to the problems the first time and the second time. Now I have to give a review. The first time, we were simply left standing at the counter. The second time, we didn't receive our complete order. The third time (despite the very friendly service), we received five portions of fries instead of the meals we actually wanted. Surely, with three people, they should have checked if it was correct. Unfortunately, I couldn't exchange it because we were short on time and had to leave. I'd say that was our last visit.

The meat wasn't great. The presentation of the burgers was overdone. The atmosphere was very unclean.

The food is always okay, but the service leaves much to be desired. Please, employees, don't chew gum like a cow! The tables were dirty as usual, but it was a sad place to chat with colleagues.

It was delicious. Sometimes you can do that.

I was very dissatisfied with my visit to KFC today. The service was really bad – the employee (a woman wearing a headscarf) was unfriendly and seemed annoyed. Furthermore, the portion of fries was extremely small, even though I had ordered a meal. For the price, I expect considerably more. Overall, a disappointing experience – it made the visit no fun. We won't be back.

I don't even know where to begin with all the one-star reviews. Well, the service is absolutely terrible, even insulting. The food, which was small and the shop was empty, took 45 minutes to arrive, and half of it was handed out incorrectly or forgotten. The manager that evening showed no sympathy. The EC reader is broken. The shop is dirty. Oh yeah. Basically, everything a restaurant can do wrong. Money wasted for nothing and wasted hunger. The food ended up in the trash because it was inedible.

The quality of the chicken is totally third class no crisp not hot totally waste of money ,i have ordered online from uber eats do not go and order from this outlet very bad quality of chicken.

I was there today and ordered a meal with 3 pieces of chicken at around 3 p.m. First of all, there was no salad, then I asked which pieces I would like... the answer was "whatever's there"... I got 3 pieces, and I honestly think it was just the bones that had been breaded and fried.... I don't often write reviews, but I find this outrageous... the food was lukewarm, and there wasn't even a napkin. I'm really annoyed because I didn't notice until I got home, of course. NEVER AGAIN THERE, because out of 3-4 orders, it felt like there was something every time... either no sauce I PAID FOR, or now something like this!

Unfortunately, they took a long time. Maybe there weren't many customers, so they barely prepared any food. There were some annoying kids on the premises who wouldn't leave anyone alone. The maize took over 10 minutes to make. For a moment, I felt like we were in a ghetto. No way...

Nothing like the advertisements. The meat was like rubber, and the fries were raw potatoes. I'd love to give it zero stars, but unfortunately, I can't. They also put completely different things on the tray than what was ordered.

I was there once with my children. First, my son wanted to go to the bathroom. Of the two toilets, one was clogged with a toilet paper roll, the other was completely dirty. There were no urinals for children, so I had to use a comb to wash my hands. The faucet was broken and I couldn't use it, and there was no soap in the dispenser. I went to the cashier and told them that the toilets weren't working and that there was no soap. The young man at the cashier said, "I'm not responsible for the toilets." So he dropped the matter. Then we had to search the entire inside for a clean table. There were leftover food everywhere, spilled drinks on the table and floor. I've seen dirty fast food a lot, but this was a different story.

I hadn't eaten there for a long time because half of my order was always missing. It can't be that you order something and come home and see that things that you ordered are missing. Never again.

First time at KFC, and I'll never go back to this place! The food is cold, all the burgers come in the same packaging, so you can't tell which one is which! If you complain, you're treated like an idiot! Hygiene isn't great here either; the tables are dirty and the floor is sticky! Honestly, give this dump a wide berth!

The kids' menu was missing everything except the Capri Sun. One box of spicy chicken wings was missing. And everything was just thrown into the bag like an idiot. How can you not do your job properly? Paid €75, half is missing. Quit if this is too stressful for you.

Well, that was the worst KFC I've ever eaten at. The food was simply too dry. All the seats were dirty, you had to clean your seat and table before you could eat. And I don't even want to start talking about the staff. Simply abysmal.

The meat was raw, the fries were raw, one of the burgers was missing sauce, they were all cold and one looked like it had been pulled out of the trash. I wouldn't recommend anyone eat here at Crazy. Closing this branch wouldn't do the company any harm. You're better off going to Berliner Döner on Brückstrasse, Food King, or if you have to have fast food, then MC's or Burger King too.

We ordered a Family Bucket and a burger. What we didn't notice until we got to our table, however, was that there were no drinks included – and unfortunately, none were offered to us either. Especially in a fast-food restaurant, you should expect to be informed about something like that. We didn't feel like getting up and ordering more – our appetites had already disappeared anyway. The food was also a disappointment. The chicken bites were dry, the chicken pieces extremely greasy, and some were still pink inside. The mashed potatoes were watery, almost like soup. The fries were the only thing that tasted good. What was particularly disappointing was that the hot wings I ordered only came with two – I expect significantly more from a family bucket. Overall, the meal was barely edible. For almost €40, that's absolutely unacceptable – more than half ended up in the trash. When I politely asked for wet wipes, I was told that they were "no longer available at KFC" – which I also find a shame, especially with such greasy food. At the same time, I also asked about the corn, which we had been waiting for over 20 minutes. Instead of an honest answer, they evaded the question. Finally, they said the machine was out – even though they told us it would only take 15 minutes when we ordered. No apology, no advance warning – simply ignored. Overall, this visit was frustrating. The service was rude, the food was bad, and there was a complete lack of hospitality. Unfortunately, I would not recommend it at all – and definitely my last visit to this branch.

The men's restroom wasn't exactly clean. The food is good, but to get full you'd have to spend between €10 and €15, if not more. The atmosphere is typical American food court style.

I was just there today and ordered a bucket and two shakes. The chicken and fries were soggy and barely at room temperature. I had to wait an unbearably long time for the shakes because the two employees at the checkout were having a cup-hopping frenzy.

It's always the same at KFC. We always get cold burgers or cold fries. When we ask if we can get them fresh and hot, they always roll their eyes. It's not right to pay so much money and then just get served cold food. The app is confusing, and you can't redeem coupons properly, which makes things even more difficult.

We went there to eat with my family on May 24, 2025. The service was unpleasant. I unfortunately had to call the ordering service three times because my order hadn't been accepted correctly. I have an 18-month-old baby, and it was really unpleasant. Later on, we were approached several times at the table about my baby's water bottle. I was wondering what my baby should drink while eating, maybe Coke or Sprite? And this is the first time I've had to leave feedback like this.

We were there today and I'm shocked. Absolutely filthy, no table was clean, and there were leftover guests' food everywhere. The floor also looked as if it hadn't been cleaned in a week, and the drinking station was a complete disaster. The employees seemed very annoyed/unmotivated (which I'm really sorry about), but that's not acceptable in a restaurant. Then, at the end, they placed an incorrect receipt from the previous order on our not-so-clean tablet. It wasn't crowded, but no one thought to clean the tables or anything. One guest sent back a burger because it was very hard. The fries were completely cold and soggy, and you pay 50 cents extra for ketchup. I found 50 cents for 17g of ketchup absolutely too expensive. In general, the portions have gotten smaller, in my opinion. The fillet bites were better than the crispies, when they cut them in half and then sold as two pieces. The place used to be so good, but today it's absolutely not recommended.

I wouldn't recommend this store as a place to stay. Homeless people came to the branch several times looking for leftover food in the delivery stations and eating there. The staff just watched. Good KFC, a bit less busy but a bit quieter, staff are always friendly and orders are processed quickly, what more could you want, very nicely designed with lots of Dortmund-specific objects integrated into the design. You can refill drinks for free and the food tastes good and is fresh, the chicken pieces, bites etc. The burgers aren't that great, they have very little toppings, i.e. a normal crispy burger between a burger bun with a bit of sauce, they could have done a better job with that. At KFC you get fuller and stay fuller for longer than at the competition, the fries are also fresh, some of the best I've seen from any fast food chain, they are crispy and not soggy like at other chains these days. I like coming here.

Wow, where do I start... The service was unfriendly and impatient with my order. The food was bottom drawer. Buns and fries were totally dry and hard, the meat was almost just breading. The tables throughout the store were not cleaned and there was food and packaging everywhere under and on the tables. Disgusting tables full of grease and leftover food. Sure, there are people who leave the table like that. But then you also have to clean for the new customers. We lost our appetite and left. I've never seen anything like that in other KFC's. I don't even want to know what's going on in the kitchen when the tables already look like this. We don't even need to talk about the completely exorbitant prices.

Hello, my girlfriend was hungry and ordered a chicken chilli cheese which cost €2.29 and she got something like that?! That's a disgrace.

We wanted to order two menus at the drive-in, after the first menu the lady said we should drive up. No explanation or anything like that. Until she somehow made it clear to us with her poor knowledge of German that she was overwhelmed. Okay then just order at the window. That was also an adventure but after everything was recorded we were quoted a price that was far too low and simply walked away. We then tried to draw attention to ourselves and another lady came. After clarification, she loudly reprimanded the lady who had previously served us because she had apparently been on the phone throughout the entire ordering process.

I can't recommend this place. Food is KFC as always. So it's ok to take away! But! And that's a big but! The receipt roll from the ordering machine was empty and I asked 3 times if it could be changed because the beeping goes through the whole store and I would like to eat in peace. These 3 times of asking were met with 20 minutes of waiting and seeing that nothing happened. Afterwards we simply drove away because nothing had changed. The place where we sat down looked like a mess, but it was the cleanest place in the restaurant. The tables are stuck together, stronger than a garbage can in a participatory museum.

I don't know what happened to the store here. Ten years ago it all tasted so delicious. No one would serve their dogs what I had for dinner today. It was all so disgusting. I left €40 and could barely eat anything because everything was really old. I think it was on the shelves for a very long time and wasn't replaced. Unfortunately, the coleslaw no longer tastes the same as it used to. The fries were soggy, I think they were there for an hour. I've rarely eaten really bad fries. Some of the hot wings still had the feathers on them 🤢 They didn't bother to remove them. To top it off, half of our order was forgotten and we had to turn back to pick it up even though there were only two customers in the store!! Never again.

It's very expensive, the portions are small and everything is very spicy. Children find little that they can tolerate here. If you peel it off sweaty (bones, tendons, veins, cartilage...) you don't get much for your money, except for too much spice, marinade and fat. Taste is basically in the eye of the beholder, the customer service I personally encountered was not exactly friendly, but very abrupt, hectic and difficult to understand. The burgers were small, quite hard and cold. The sauce only on one side. I had to spend around 30 euros to get a meal for one person. So 2 stars.

So today I went to KFC for lunch after many years and unfortunately there is no KFC in my city. I was once again very impressed. It still tastes very good as it did back then, except the corn was a bit watery, but otherwise the service was very nice the side dishes explained the sauces you can't complain it was definitely a very clean restaurant but I took take away because there wasn't that much time so we were there again a week ago and the place was really dirty

The worst KFC I've ever been to. The zinger burger was cold and just old and the fries were soggy and almost cold too! But look for yourself what the burger looks like, the picture says it all.

I had previously ordered and picked up 10x crispies, a chilli cheese crunch and 2x fries from the drive in. The crispys tasted like they were from the day before and smelled funny. The fries were soft and floury and the burger or burger bread was rock hard. You could have hurt someone if you threw the burger at a person. It's a shame about the food, it immediately ended up in the trash. The atmosphere also looked run down and the waitress was as if she didn't feel like working. I personally don't recommend this store to anyone.

Food OK, but the place is completely run down. One of the outside doors was locked and no one was interested in the evidence. There are no receipts at the terminal, no lids for the drinks and there are things on the floor everywhere. Nobody here seems to care what impression is conveyed. Then one of the employees shouts at a customer in the drive. Why the hell is the store even still open?

Bacon on the burger was cold, cheese was missing, cheese sauce also didn't want to add ketchup to the menu, fries were cold. The employees didn't understand German and said there was cheese sauce but didn't offer to put the sauce on it. At least everything was clean. And they didn't greet us once they said hello. I'll never go to this KFC again.

At the time of our visit, there were trays of trash on almost every available table. Some of the self-service machines were also not working. In the end, a dip was missing from the meal.

The smart boxes didn't print out check. Our fries didn't look at all like in the menu (we got the chili fries, on the menu there vere beans, but we only got the sauce), cappuccino didn't even come with a foam (even though it's no cheap). I could order a chocolate shake, but they didn't have it. The first table we sat at was broken. The tap isn't automatic, so that's minus points for not caring about the environment, especially as such a big company. I definitely won't come to this restaurant again, and probably won't go to any other KFC ever again (this was my second visit).

We were there on December 7th, 2024 around 4 p.m. and after 45 minutes we finally got out of the shabby/dirty place. We were there for the first and last time. If an order is incorrect, it will not be remade but simply refilled and then given out. There are full trays everywhere and the clearing carts are overflowing. The kid who served us came with the excuse that 4 employees called in sick that morning... When I read it all like that, it doesn't seem to be as sudden as he thinks. -5 stars.

Last night I went to this restaurant with five friends after recommending it with confidence. Unfortunately the experience was not at all what I expected. Although the food was good, the cleanliness of the place left something to be desired and the service was disappointing. We had difficulty finding a clean table and the staff seemed completely uninterested. Our order was taken incorrectly and there was no apology for it. Plus we had to wait far too long. In the end, all my friends were unhappy, which I was really sorry about. I recommend paying more attention to organization, cleanliness and dealing with customers to avoid such unpleasant experiences.

The worst KFC in the world I've been to. Broken ordering system and confusion. I ordered my first order for a tray and on paper it was from myself. Longer waiting time, which wouldn't matter, but only one cook in the back. I took one extra order and they packed me a sandwich without bread. I don't understand how this can happen..

Ladies and Gentlemen I was in your restaurant on November 4th around 8 p.m. and ordered menu 6, including extras like a corn on the cob and a salad. To my dismay, I found that there was a lack of basic things. When I asked about salt I was told that salt was sold out. There was also no butter for the corn on the cob. To make matters worse, my bag was also missing the ketchup for the fries. I find it extremely unsatisfactory and unacceptable that a request as simple as providing salt, butter and ketchup could not be met. As a paying customer, I expect basic components of a menu to be available. I request a timely clarification and appropriate compensation for this inconvenience.
