Kentucky Fried Chicken in Dortmund

At the time of our visit, there were trays of trash on almost every available table. Some of the self-service machines were also not working. In the end, a dip was missing from the meal.

Food used to be better. Staff don't feel like cleaning tables

The smart boxes didn't print out check. Our fries didn't look at all like in the menu (we got the chili fries, on the menu there vere beans, but we only got the sauce), cappuccino didn't even come with a foam (even though it's no cheap). I could order a chocolate shake, but they didn't have it. The first table we sat at was broken. The tap isn't automatic, so that's minus points for not caring about the environment, especially as such a big company. I definitely won't come to this restaurant again, and probably won't go to any other KFC ever again (this was my second visit).

Food was cold, it had probably been prepared for hours. What you get on the tray doesn't even remotely correspond to the pictures.

Last night I went to this restaurant with five friends after recommending it with confidence. Unfortunately the experience was not at all what I expected. Although the food was good, the cleanliness of the place left something to be desired and the service was disappointing. We had difficulty finding a clean table and the staff seemed completely uninterested. Our order was taken incorrectly and there was no apology for it. Plus we had to wait far too long. In the end, all my friends were unhappy, which I was really sorry about. I recommend paying more attention to organization, cleanliness and dealing with customers to avoid such unpleasant experiences.

We were there on December 7th, 2024 around 4 p.m. and after 45 minutes we finally got out of the shabby/dirty place. We were there for the first and last time. If an order is incorrect, it will not be remade but simply refilled and then given out. There are full trays everywhere and the clearing carts are overflowing. The kid who served us came with the excuse that 4 employees called in sick that morning... When I read it all like that, it doesn't seem to be as sudden as he thinks. -5 stars.

Service confused and overwhelmed. The service changes every few weeks (why?) The portions of fries are getting smaller and smaller. The mayo on the Zinger is not standard KGC mayo but some of the cheapest mayo. Tables are not clean. This is the second time I've had stomach cramps after eating. Probably the last time for me.

The worst KFC in the world I've been to. Broken ordering system and confusion. I ordered my first order for a tray and on paper it was from myself. Longer waiting time, which wouldn't matter, but only one cook in the back. I took one extra order and they packed me a sandwich without bread. I don't understand how this can happen..

Very bad. Employees who say in front of customers in a full store that they don't feel like it anymore and won't do it anymore. Waited for half an hour (despite paying directly at the terminal) and then the food was made when asked because others who ordered directly at the counter had already received the food. Very overwhelmed employees, only one person at the front working at the counter and two at the back preparing food. The remaining 3 walk around and do nothing. The cart is piled up with full tablets and is not being put away. That's why there are already tablets on the tables with the trash everywhere. Very dirty shop

The service seemed overwhelmed even though there was nothing going on. The food was ready quickly, but the fries were only lukewarm. The floor was slippery and seemed greasy. Some of the tables and benches were dirty even though, as I said, there was nothing going on. The children's corner was out of order. We definitely won't eat there again.

Waited almost half an hour for the food, then the fries were missing and there was hardly any meat in the burgers. The employees seem very overwhelmed.

The public order office should close the shop. One star is too many

This KFC is absolutely underground. The employees don't feel like it. It's dirty and the food is absolutely inedible.

Ladies and Gentlemen I was in your restaurant on November 4th around 8 p.m. and ordered menu 6, including extras like a corn on the cob and a salad. To my dismay, I found that there was a lack of basic things. When I asked about salt I was told that salt was sold out. There was also no butter for the corn on the cob. To make matters worse, my bag was also missing the ketchup for the fries. I find it extremely unsatisfactory and unacceptable that a request as simple as providing salt, butter and ketchup could not be met. As a paying customer, I expect basic components of a menu to be available. I request a timely clarification and appropriate compensation for this inconvenience.

Well, it's just chicken with the standard breading, but sometimes something different :D The service was very helpful and extremely nice :D the food was expensive, I have to say that :D

By far the worst store I've ever been in! The floor certainly hadn't been cleaned for weeks, it stank and the fries weren't fresh! Why is the public order office not doing anything?

I didn't expect anything and was still disappointed... Sauce is probably in short supply here, but the salt isn't skimped on. I hope my health insurance covers this visit.

I'm really stunned... You're on vacation and you want to eat something. You come in, at first nobody is there. Then you order at the terminal because no one is in sight. After we ordered, employees slowly arrived at 11:20 a.m. The ladies didn't think it was necessary to serve the customers... On the contrary, they grabbed the finished goods and ate them themselves in the back... So if I had that kind of work ethic, I would already have my job 5 times go...

Food from KFC was good as usual. Drinks can be refilled yourself. Payment is not possible directly at the order terminal, but at the checkout. Ambience rather cool with a strange crowd, which is due to the surroundings. The smell of homeless people often came up in my nose. Towards Saturday afternoon there was less traffic, so the food was served quickly.

For 29€ the worst fast food menu I've ever had after the Burger King at Antalya Airport, fries and this stewed chicken were cold and tasted like rubber, the service was overwhelmed. Never again kfc Bornstrasse! 🤮🤢

the kfc is quiet and not crowded and hectic. The employee was incredibly nice and considerate, always asking whether our order was correct as it was. It's really admirable that there are such nice people working in this industry, unfortunately you often experience it differently. Apart from a bit of rubbish around the corner of the shop (which is not the fault of the workers, but of the anti-social people who throw the leftover food on the floor! Disgusting behavior like that), everything in the shop is kept super clean. Big top to the employees who put in so much effort there. I've been standing at the drive in counter for the third time in 10 minutes. It simply cannot be the case that there is an automatic announcement like we will be there for you immediately if nothing happens for 10 minutes.

The employees are very friendly and help immediately. When I dropped the table, I immediately got new food for free.

Short version: Dirty, unfriendly, long waiting time... You should save yourself the trip. I can only shake my head at this store.

When I opened the burger paper, two short hairs beamed at me and that wasn't enough. The lettuce must have fallen to the floor (completely dirty as you know from outside when you drop something). Finally, what was also cool was that they didn't ask the fries whether there was mayo or ketchup, they just put ketchup in them and they were ready 🙈

Eating took 35 minutes, sauces were wrong and there were no others instead, veggie burger was simply made into a normal burger. An imposition and insult to anyone who leaves their money here

Unfriendly employees, shop completely dirty. Fries limp and bread rock hard. Ordered menus and they didn't tell you that there weren't certain things on the menu, so you went back and got an answer: "Yes, what should I do now?" One menu is missing coleslaw and wings. Apparently the wings from both menus were put in one box, which is not true. Then you are lied to at the checkout “yes, we said so beforehand and packed fries instead.” NO WAS NOT SAID. Otherwise we wouldn't have ordered the menus. So unfriendly. You will then be blasphemed and insulted afterwards. Everything is so loud that you can just hear it when you walk through the door. impudence. Never again. You should really change some of the employees there.

We went and canceled our online order. Extremely slow (I know it's not easy working in a fast food restaurant, but you should sleep after work) and no chicken in the display. It looked and felt like they were almost broke. We actually kept going to McDonald's. Bitter.

I was at the drive in today and waited 30 minutes for someone to show up. Then I drove up and asked what was going on. The only answer was “I’m about to get off work and I don’t have my headset on”. I'll never go there again, that's it. In the end I didn't get my food either.

It takes an incredibly long time to order, there is no checkout line and the line only consists of 3 people including me. It still takes far too long to place an order. After waiting almost 10 minutes I still couldn't place an order, impossible conditions. Unfortunately I can't rate the food

If I could I would give 0 stars I was at the Bornstr branch on June 12th at around 4 p.m. Dortmund.After I ordered, I waited at the checkout for my order. A guest came forward with the burger he ordered because something was wrong. Two employees came forward and took the burger from the cash register and rummaged through it with their bare hands. The sauce was put on it again right at the back and people rummaged around in it again at the front. The employee wanted to give the burger back to the customer. I wanted to throw up on the spot and had my order canceled immediately. Employees showed no understanding. Simply disgusting

The food is very different in performance. Some days it is the usual quality and other days the chicken is heated for far too long and is therefore dry, the fries are not salted and the crispies are not crispy. The toilets are very bad. The cleanliness is rated too high at 1 star. Something urgently needs to change in terms of hygiene standards here. You can't use the toilets in such a condition! The drink dispensers are sticky and look like they aren't cleaned every day. The ceiling lights are damaged and the floor didn't look cleaned. I'm actually a fan of KFC, but after my last visit on Saturday July 6th, that stopped due to the subterranean performance. After this experience, I won't be visiting another KFC branch for a while.

The food was OK, but otherwise there were several deficiencies that greatly affected the overall impression: The order board didn't work. You therefore had to go to the checkout to find out whether the order was ready. This was inconvenient and time consuming. The floor was dirty and covered in crumbs and the tables hadn't been wiped down. The toilets were in a disastrous condition. There was chaos and dirt and there was even no toilet paper. Overall, this was a very disappointing visit to KFC. Unfortunately I cannot recommend this restaurant.

I waited again for 10 minutes without being served. Fast food restaurant?!? Ridiculous. Hungry up to both arms and coming out even hungrier. Been there 3 times, not served 3 times or no order even taken. I'm definitely not coming back!

Unfortunately, I can't say enough good things about this KFC. Employees completely unmotivated, on the phone while waiting for service... Then the order was carried out incorrectly...really a shame.

The chicken pieces were completely dry and the fries were extremely soggy and completely unsalted. We threw away half of it and paid €25 for it

Here we are being taken for a ride and portrayed as parasites. Just because you want to make women aware of their mistakes. The lady with the headscarf tried to interrupt me and tried not to let me speak. The only reason the situation didn't escalate is that a lady "who was fairly new to the company" tried to talk to us.

It was my first time here with my daughter and I wasn't disappointed - just like it used to be here. Tasty and nice service. I only saw later that there are ordering terminals like McDonald's, but the lady still took our order nicely. Soft drinks as much as you want... Delicious, something different than just MC D. It's been a long time since I went to a KFC today. Ordered 3 Zingers and a Colonel Burger (or whatever it's called) at the drive in. When we got home, 4 Zinger burgers were in the door. I understand that mistakes can happen. But I mentioned twice which burgers it should be. There were only 2 different ones. The store was still empty, so they didn't have any stress. It's just disappointing that you paid money even though you ordered something else.

I can't believe what I experienced there today. I was about to call the police. There were four of us and we ordered 7 burgers and 3 fries. After 30 minutes we put our food on a tray with 12 burgers. I said I only wanted 7 and that we couldn't eat 12 burgers. The waitress said that he would be happy to take the remaining burgers back but he couldn't give the money back. Otherwise he would have a loss in his till. I should choose something else for it. I then asked if I should invite people over to eat it. I said very firmly that I would pay for 7 burgers and three fries and that I wanted the rest of my money. It was a huge discussion. I started getting loud. Ultimately I said that I wasn't buying anything and wanted all my money back. That only happened when I threatened to go to the police. The three people who run the shop are completely clumsy and overwhelmed. Unmotivated and have no idea about service. That was my very first KFC experience because I boycott McDonald and Burger King. Please close the shop. Don't do that to people. That was my last time. Never again. Nobody should really go there anymore. Not to mention the hygienic issues

Yesterday I visited a snack bar. Something went wrong from the start: the order took quite a long time, there were problems, the shelves were empty even though they had just opened at 3 p.m. When I finally got my order, about 20 minutes later, I went to get Pepsi, but instead just plain water came out of the tap. I thought the Pepsi tap would be at the end, but it turned out all that came was water. I asked about Pepsi but they told me there wasn't any. Fine, but why didn't you inform me in advance or is it not on your screen? And why is something flowing that I didn't want? The highlight was that the order didn't match what was on the receipt. The order was for two Colones Double Menus, but from the packaging you could see that they were two different menus, and furthermore, Colones was not Double.

I don't recommend coming here, the food is not warm enough, the sauce on the burger was disgusting. The fries were burnt, the staff barely spoke German, and the chicken was cold and had absolutely no taste, the drink was mixed with water, very little gas.

Very strange there. Not recommended at all. The staff can barely speak German and don't understand what you want. They are unfriendly, overwhelmed and don't really get anything done. The shop is very dirty and sticky. The food wasn't really warm and not really tasty either. It's best to check whether everything has been packed. We won't go there again.

What the heck is going on there? Food was thrown away as it came. Just bones with breading. Not edible. Fries raw and cold. Ravens/pigeons play outside catching rats. An undignified catastrophe and the worst thing I have had to experience so far. Everything seems unkempt and greasy. After 3 minutes we left the store in shock and only picked up a few cookies from the gas station. Anyone who eats there probably wants to pick up more than just "food" No star and above all not worth a visit!!! You have to know.

The second visit after a long time, the second & last chance!!! Keep me short, nothing has changed for the better!!! The table is still dirty, the floor is sticky and it hasn't been cleared!! The staff was overwhelmed with everything, PARTLY friendly & tried hard!!! The otherwise delicious puree and sauce was inedible (wallpaper paste)!!!! The only positive thing was the parking lot!!! I'm very sorry for KFC that I can't say anything positive and won't be visiting this branch again!!!

Was there today and ordered at the terminal. We waited almost 20 minutes and only then realized that people who had just come in had already been served. The orders from the terminal were not taken up by the staff at all and no one was served until they went to the front to register their needs again. This was only possible in English because no one at the front of the service spoke German (I don't care at all about this fact!). Please simply switch off the terminals if they are hindering the service process or are too complicated. The toilets were dirty and the paper bin was completely overflowing. I would rate the general ambience as stressful, as MTV is blaring through the store at almost full volume. The search was overall a bit chaotic.

Totally incompetent staff, unable to complete an order properly. Ordered 6 filet bites and 6 hot wings and got 2 burgers. And because it was takeaway, I only noticed it when I got home. I can only recommend checking every takeaway food carefully.

KFC hat im Gegensatz zu anderen seine Qualität gehalten. Leider gab es die Pommes mit dieser tollen Sauce nicht mehr. Aber ich komme wieder.

Diese Filiale ist gegenüber anderen KFC Filialen sehr dreckig, unhygienisch, essen schmeckt gleich wie immer. Leider ist diese Filiale auch sehr kalt, also muss man schon mit Jacke dort sitzen, wenn man dort speisen möchte. Parkplatzlage an sich ist gut, und immer etwas frei. Aber zu teuer für den Service und die Sauberkeit der Filiale. Es liegen auch keine Servietten aus, falls man etwas mehr braucht.

Hab dort das Veggie Essen probiert. Fand ich jetzt nicht so lecker. Das Essen kam schnell, die Preise sind leicht erhöht. Kann mir vorstellen, dass das richtige Hähnchen besser schmeckt. Vor Ort gegessen. Personal war freundlich.
