This burger king location is worse then other burger kings..burgers are comming in bad buns and today when I asked for more "ice" on my desert, women on the window just told me no..

Very clean. Quiet atmosphere. Food of very good King quality.

Unfortunately, I've had several bad experiences. One employee (I'd guess in her early 40s) is always very unfriendly, which makes the visit really unpleasant. Furthermore, the food is often not fresh – especially the rolls, which are frequently quite hard and seem stale. On several occasions, the food was also cold, even though we ate it there. Overall, it's a poor impression, mainly due to the unfriendly staff.

After a long drive, I was craving Burger King, so I quickly stopped and placed my order at the self-service kiosk. When I saw the prices, I left without ordering. They've raised their prices so drastically that I won't be coming back. It's probably healthier anyway 😅

Parking is easy. The staff is very friendly. And, most importantly, it's very clean.

The furnishings were relatively worn and the overall cleanliness left much to be desired.

Just a regular Burger King. It can get a bit crowded when ordering at the kiosks. Unfortunately, you can't add or remove ingredients from the burgers, probably because they're pre-made. The food was ready quickly, though, and tasted fresh. The restrooms were very dirty.

We were in Dortmund Oespel today and ordered the kebab burger with extra bacon. We've never eaten anything so bad. The burger was cold, and the bacon was raw!!!!! When we asked if they could also cook the bacon, the rude reply was: "We don't have any cooked bacon here." Never again from this burger place.

Typical Burger King. Unfortunately, the staff isn't as helpful or polite when something's missing. It used to be better.

The Burger King in Opel Kley is a complete disappointment. The store is dirty and appears completely neglected. You're no longer served at the cash register; instead, you're simply "friendly" advised to order everything via the app. A hopeless attempt to at least get something via the drive-thru ends in a long wait, even though there isn't a single car there. What's particularly annoying is that no one wears name badges anymore, presumably so you can't even call the unfriendly employees by name. Result: Zero service, zero cleanliness, zero friendliness – simply disappointing.

You couldn't remove ingredients so I didn't like the burger

No matter which Burger King you go to, ordering is only possible via this weird computer that's completely impossible to understand. No more service; everything's just technical. It's such a shame 😞 We left after 5 minutes because it was completely impossible to understand. When we wanted to order individual burgers, the thing keeps showing menus. Sad 😞

The burgers were freshly made, and everything was fresh. Everyone was very friendly. I'd happily go back.

You can wait at least 20 minutes, even for a Coke. I've been there three times, and each time it's been like this: this store is garbage.

Dirty...return carts completely overflowing. There's stuff lying around on the floor. Tables are disgusting and sticky.

I ordered two meals with fries and mayo, but both mayos were forgotten. I ordered two chili cheese fries and realized at home that they had also been completely forgotten. Even though it wasn't really busy, so much was forgotten, which shouldn't have happened.

I was there last time and wanted to order what I always do, but an employee told me I wasn't allowed to. After that, I went to another Burger King and got my order... very poor service.

Update 05/2025: During peak hours, waiting times can sometimes be up to 30 minutes. This is no longer fast food. Unfortunately, orders are often incorrect. This has happened several times now. ----------------- Freshly renovated and with a new look, the premises are bearable. Even when it's busy, it still remains loud and hectic. No surprises with the food; it's a chain restaurant, and the taste is familiar. The staff is usually friendly and attentive to the customers and the restaurant.

I got a burger with bread as hard as a rock. When I went to the checkout with the burger in my hand, the employees just walked back and forth without paying any attention to me. When I spoke to them, they realized that the burger wasn't okay and made me a new one. After about ten minutes, I got my new burger, and that was okay. Twenty minutes later, I ordered another burger, and the bread was just as rock-hard as the first one. I got angry and went to the front to confront the employees. The employee simply took the burger out of my hand and went to the back. After five minutes, I asked her where my burger was, but she didn't say a word and gave me a new burger without an apology or anything. That was my last visit. This place is absolute garbage. I don't know why they even employ such incompetent employees.

It's the same every time, they don't understand a word of German, you ask if everything is included, every time something is missing you repeat the order, yes, yes, everything is included and there are always 1-2 burgers missing that you paid for, these Indians just rip you off every time 🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️

Their personnel management and leadership style are flawed. It's been such a disaster that I've already had to cancel my meal and demand my money back. Wasted time and nerves for nothing. I definitely don't recommend this place. They only get one star for the complaint. Juice shop

They serve cold food, and polite complaints are laughed at and not taken seriously. Considering the prices we're paying these days, there's no understanding of the employees' behavior.

Order arrived but was incomplete, complaint was made but not taken seriously, so I would have been out of luck!

Just paid 20 euros for two small and unimaginative burgers with mayonnaise...I've had better experiences – eating them outside was impossible because of all the wasps.

Here, too, the air conditioning is off or broken. This is the fourth BK in North Rhine-Westphalia in the last few weeks where the air conditioning isn't working. Yesterday, at the BK truck stop in Frechen, the air conditioning was also off because it was broken, and according to the branch manager, it's a landlord's responsibility. But I really think they're just trying to save energy.

Very run-down Burger King. Five people in the store, no cars in the drive-thru, and still waited 15 minutes for two burgers, one fries, and a drink. When they ate it five minutes later, everything was only lukewarm at best. Tasted okay. Recommended: Unfortunately, no.

The woman barely understood me when I ordered. The fries were cold and scattered throughout the bag. The burgers were also cold. The way home only took 5 minutes and everything was cold and inedible. I will never go to Burger King again.

What a mess! The onion rings were rubbery and cold. The burger was cold, too. But the Coke was warm and still. Never again!

I really enjoyed it there. I quickly popped in, ordered at the terminal screen, and paid with my debit card. After a short wait, I received my food, and it was delicious.

Unfortunately, the team sometimes struggles to prepare the food quickly. Waiting times of over half an hour are not uncommon. In my experience, it always depends on who's on shift and how people are feeling. Sometimes it's done quickly. Cleanliness isn't always guaranteed and also depends heavily on whether the team is full or if people are absent at short notice.

Unfortunately, I took the food with me and didn't check it. When I got home, I noticed that not everything was there.

Good for a quick bite. Ordering on the screen is too tedious for me personally. However, I don't even know if you can still order the classic way (at the checkout :-D ). The fries, nuggets, and ice cream were good as always. I was disappointed with the burger. But I rarely eat at BK. Otherwise, the quick food is tasty ;-)

What a rip-off! I stood there for 20 minutes, only to be told... We're closed. Incredibly bad. Ordered at the drive-thru for 1.50. Simply brutally bad. Never again.

ATTENTION TO PEOPLE WHO ORDER PLANT-BASED FOOD. This is the second time I've ordered a plant-based burger, and it clearly had a meat patty on it. The first time, I thought it was an accident because the staff were busy. But the second time, I think they don't care. This really shouldn't happen!

We waited 5 minutes on our autodrive to place an order. Then we waited another 10 minutes until we received our food. The server said they were understaffed. We won't go there again. The competition is across the street.

Unfriendly staff who lie, curly fries were old and raw, churros had half a liter of caramel poured next to them but were still packed into the bag dripping wet.

Fast food tastes as you're used to. Service has become a disaster. Counters are always broken, so card payments aren't possible, just like the self-service counters. The staff are barely understood due to language barriers. Orders only arrive halfway. You feel like you have to walk five times until everything is there, and then the food is cold.

I wanted to redeem a free fries after leaving feedback online. The employee said no and just walked away without saying anything to me, saying I can't read. I got goosebumps. McDonald's is better anyway.

Load the right pic. The gooner didn't give me my fries and couldn't speak German. All the Burger King options were in him.

Actually, one star is too much!!! I know the place to be completely different. It was dirty and unkempt. There was greasy stuff everywhere! The food was a disgrace, cold and slapped together without any care! Trays are only available until 10:00 PM or 9:00 PM… I'm not going there anymore! New operator??? Please, definitely have the trade registration office take a look.

Drive in: Waited 25 minutes first in line... That's not possible for a fast food restaurant... There is clearly a saving in personnel...

Restaurant itself is nice, food inedible. Fries taste like old fat, nuggets like cardboard, onion rings are softer than the bun, milkshake is more like water with milk. What a shame!

Burger totally dried out and cold… if you don't feel like working you can leave it alone instead of running such a bad shop…

It's actually a shame, it's now the worst public restaurant I know. Repeatedly the wrong burgers were packed, or the bags were mixed up, the menu was cold, sloppily packaged dry burgers! This “restaurant” could still drive me to the Klownsburger. I don't want to, get your shop in order.

Unfortunately, it's a bit dated. The food was okay. The parking experience was legendary.

The food is okay, as you'd expect. The wait time is really long for "fast food."

I like to go to that place when I'm on my way home, I always find parking, the food is delicious, they serve quickly and there is good service. Only this last time it had a bit of a mess and tray bins full to the brim, the bathrooms were mostly out of order and some tables were dirty, but suddenly it's because it's Friday.

Veggie burger options are super delicious! But the veggie nuggets here are awful. Plus, if they're double fried, they taste even crappier. (Yes you can see it and taste it, so please leave it) When the weather is good, it is nice and sunny outside. Standard Burger King ambience

Unfortunately totally missed, in the drive-in Borussiastr. Ordered 3x Big King menu plant base, then slapped beef patties on it, but the surprise at home was big :-(. Thanks for nothing, we won't be going there anymore.

If you have allergies or intolerances, avoid! We were here often as it is one of the few branches near us. Orders were more often made incorrectly. But the last visit really surpassed it. We went in and ordered at the checkout, as unfortunately you can hardly make any requests for changes via the terminals. I ordered 2 burgers. There were changes to both burgers: The Long Chicken Nugget Burger was supposed to have lettuce and the white burger sauce on it - he asked if only nuggets should be on the burger. I said no and said that the other sauce was welcome to stay on. The second burger was the Cheese Melt. Bacon, onions and cucumbers should go down here. What did I get? The Long Nugget Burger with what feels like double white sauce and the Cheese Melt... Without a patty, but everything else?! The complaint was dismissed and only after repeated requests did I get a new burger here. You can guess 3 times... With everything except bacon. End of story - We've been here for a long time and have asked for improvements several times, only for this to not be fulfilled. We avoid the store now. It's a shame because we love BK very much...

The cola tasted strange, so we threw it away. I'd rather go somewhere else.

Everything was great, you should have just asked if you were taking your menu with you or if it was distorted there.

You can eat there but the drive in is impossible. You have to check every order carefully because items are always missing or packed incorrectly. If you only notice it when you get home, it's very annoying.

Langsam, unfreundlich und inkompetent! Nachdem ich bereit 25 Min am Drive In gewartet habe und an der Sprechsäule weitere 8 Min. Wurde mir mitgeteilt, das es einen Fehler in der Kasse gibt. Meine Bestellung Betrug 27,00 € und an der Ausgabe wurde mir nach einer weiteren Wartezeit von 10 Min 2 Cola und 1x Pommes ausgehändigt. Auf den Fehler hingewiesen, wurden die bereits angesessenen Pommes zurück gefordert. Auf meine freundliche Ansprache, was man nun denkt, nach einer Anhäufung von Fehlern, mich als Kunden zufrieden zu stellen, wurde mir Seitens der Schichtleiterin ein Gespräch mit dem Chef angeboten. Daher wartete ich auf eben dieses Gespräch. Nach einer weiteren Anfrage meinerseits wurde mir mitgeteilt, das der Chef erst morgen im Hause sei. Was ich mehr als unverschämt empfand. Ich fragte nochmals, was man sich als Schichleiterin einfallen lässt, einen „bis dahin“ guten Kunden zufrieden zu stellen? Ich wurde daraufhin sehr schroff angesprochen. Während dessen kontrollierte meine Frau die nun erhaltene Bestellung, und stellte fest, das auch diese nicht komplett war. Daraufhin habe ich das Fzg. verlassen und habe mich ins Haus begeben, um die fehlende Portion Pommes nachzufordern. Auf meine Frage, wie der Chef heißt, wurde mir mitgeteilt, das Sie als Schichtführerin den Namen ihres Chefs nicht kennt. Ich denke, das in Punkto Sauberkeit, Schnelligkeit, Freundlichkeit und mit dem Umgang mit Kunden ein hohes Schulungspotential erforderlich ist. Schade das eine Schichtleiterin keine Kompetentzen hat, Kunden zufrieden zu stellen. Ich persönlich werde diese Filiale nicht mehr frequentieren und mein Geld dann lieber zum Mitbewerber gegenüber bringen. Update: Die Restaurantleiterin Frau K. hat sich, in einem persönlichen Gespräch, bei mir aufrichtig entschuldigt und das Hausverbot zurück genommen. Leider hat es die Schichtleiterin immer noch nicht geschafft, sich zu entschuldigen. Ich hätte es sehr begrüßt, wenn auch die Schichtleiterin einsichtig gewesen wäre.

Classic Burger King, fast service and good food.

Worst experience, It took more than two hours for the delivery and they didn't give anything complimentary. Also, the person who received the phone kept saying the order is on its way, yet it never arrived.

This shop should be closed. There's nothing going on and you wait forever. The employees drink their drinks with pleasure and nothing happens in the drive!!!!!

Well located and usually not too crowded. So far we've always had nice employees and never had any problems with EM Essen.

Typical BK in even better condition. The ambience can only get 4 stars as fast food temples can never get more than 4 stars as it is never cozy.

What's going on at this juice shop, who runs it? Here the “fast” is deleted from fast food. Even if there isn't much going on here, it's simply completely understaffed. You wait forever for mediocre burgers... I think Wallraff needs to stop by here again, management is at least making a little effort

Been there about 3 to 4 times in the last 6 months. Fries always taste like they are unsalted. It sometimes takes a long time to get your order. I wouldn't recommend taking it with you, something was missing from the bag the first two times. The second time I wrote to BK, the answer I got was that I should check on site myself and that it was my own fault (hardly possible when the store is full). Today it was better to check the number and find out later that I got two burgers, but one of them was the wrong one and was completely different to what I wanted. The service in the store has been going downhill for years, and the renovation isn't helping either. Today was my last time there.

If you order more per table here, they tend to forget one person. If you bring this up then you will be looked at strangely.

One of the most underwhelming experiences eating out at Burger King. Long wait for food that didn’t taste good. Busy, chaotic, gridlocked car park. Strange people ogling us. Overall I was rather relieved when we were finally leaving. Rest of the family had similar experience.

I ordered from the machine and waited almost half an hour for my food. After I asked where my food was, I was told I had already received it because it had been given out. Unfortunately, no one really spoke German except for one person who took care of it at some point.... You don't need that kind of crap! You feel like you've done something wrong even though you just wanted to eat the food you paid for

Nobody cares about complaints I was there last week with my little son and we ordered burger menus. Of the 5 sauces there was only one, 1x ketchup for the chicken nuggets and none for the fries etc. even though it was ordered and shown on the bill. I went to the front and said that I had something to complain about. Yes, the others will be there first. After 5 minutes I thought that my food was about to get cold. She said that she would come to me straight away and went to her colleague and said 'I'll go back and continue there'. Great service and the employees are totally motivated. You don't really care about the customers. Then I ate the wrong burgers that I got and tried the fries without mayo. Now a customer came in and said he had gotten the wrong burgers and was angry. Lo and behold, they took action and walked around our table to see if they had made a mistake. I can say yes, but as always, they didn't do anything to admit their mistake. Another customer said that he had been waiting over 30 minutes for his food. A complaint to Burgerking by email didn't help either. Ordered a menu for almost 15 euros and received a menu for about 8 euros The branch and the main company are not interested in this at all. Conclusion BK is history for us because the service from the staff on site is poor and the BK complaints office is just blah blah. We have the best service but are not interested in changing anything. Good luck

Just slowly!!!! Don't understand a word

Disaster, waited over twenty minutes for two burgers with fries and then the burgers were cold, the tables were really dirty and the staff overwhelmed.

After waiting 25 minutes in the drive-in, we asked the lady in front of us to pull up a little so that we could get away. Other cars behind us did the same. I've never experienced anything like that!

Food is delicious but the workers are very slow and not nice

The fries were OK The wopper, on the other hand... The salad wasn't worth mentioning. Nothing under the meat, just hamburger buns on top, very sparingly, and it all seemed very dry. If this is the new wopper... In the future, like McDonald's, avoid it. Another tip why change food if it tastes good. The branch used to be a favorite of mine.

Service unfriendly and very very slow. Seem overwhelmed... Fries are cold and soft, burgers are warm but, as we all know, your eyes eat with you (picture). Despite opening hours, you can only take to-go.

Food was good. Ate there, the tables were pretty dirty. An employee wiped down the tables, but they were still dirty. The tray return shelves were all overflowing.

I'm absolutely serious. I live nearby and encounter this branch regularly. There has been no improvement here for years. The quality of the food leaves much to be desired and customer service is consistently problematic. It is obvious that many employees have difficulties with the German language, which makes communication significantly more difficult and severely affects service. I strongly advise against continuing to support this branch as long as these grievances do not change.

So after all the horror recessions I didn't expect much with my first order, but the food came from Oespel to Löttringhausen within 30 minutes, everything was warm and the delivery person was friendly....

That used to be a good Burger King. I worked here as a student over 20 years ago. Now this place is just a shadow of its former self. Really sad. To my surprise, it hasn't tasted good here for a long time. The burgers were only lukewarm. The bag of fries was only half full. Yes, the burgers are freshly prepared, but the ingredients (burger patty) are not fresh. And that's exactly how it tastes. When I consider how much I paid, I unfortunately have to say that I won't be coming back for the time being.

The staff at the checkout who takes and prepares the orders is very overwhelmed and extremely slow. You sometimes wait 20 minutes for 2 burgers which are also cold and very unsatisfactory.

Only two cars in front of me in the drive in. I've been waiting for over 20 minutes. I can only agree with the previous reviews that say that the employees here seem overwhelmed because it takes an extremely long time. That was definitely my last visit here.

Tried multiple times but the wait time was always huge.The minimum waiting time is 25 minutes even if you order a simple burger or pommes. Food is usually not packed well if we have multiple orders. Taste medicore anyway. The chicken wings is always over cooked and hard to bite.

Sorry, but does Burger King even care how much this branch has been screwing up everything for several weeks now, the reviews should speak for themselves. Ordered 2 parts, waited 30 minutes, order was not taken correctly, cancellation was a huge deal and took another 10 minutes. This used to be the best Burger King, now it's really rubbish Food will be cold soon Well done 😅
