Cold cold cold you can't stay in with small children at all!

Well located and usually not too crowded. So far we've always had nice employees and never had any problems with EM Essen.

Been there about 3 to 4 times in the last 6 months. Fries always taste like they are unsalted. It sometimes takes a long time to get your order. I wouldn't recommend taking it with you, something was missing from the bag the first two times. The second time I wrote to BK, the answer I got was that I should check on site myself and that it was my own fault (hardly possible when the store is full). Today it was better to check the number and find out later that I got two burgers, but one of them was the wrong one and was completely different to what I wanted. The service in the store has been going downhill for years, and the renovation isn't helping either. Today was my last time there.

Typical BK in even better condition. The ambience can only get 4 stars as fast food temples can never get more than 4 stars as it is never cozy.

What's going on at this juice shop, who runs it? Here the “fast” is deleted from fast food. Even if there isn't much going on here, it's simply completely understaffed. You wait forever for mediocre burgers... I think Wallraff needs to stop by here again, management is at least making a little effort

If you order more per table here, they tend to forget one person. If you bring this up then you will be looked at strangely.

One of the most underwhelming experiences eating out at Burger King. Long wait for food that didn’t taste good. Busy, chaotic, gridlocked car park. Strange people ogling us. Overall I was rather relieved when we were finally leaving. Rest of the family had similar experience.

I ordered from the machine and waited almost half an hour for my food. After I asked where my food was, I was told I had already received it because it had been given out. Unfortunately, no one really spoke German except for one person who took care of it at some point.... You don't need that kind of crap! You feel like you've done something wrong even though you just wanted to eat the food you paid for

Nobody cares about complaints I was there last week with my little son and we ordered burger menus. Of the 5 sauces there was only one, 1x ketchup for the chicken nuggets and none for the fries etc. even though it was ordered and shown on the bill. I went to the front and said that I had something to complain about. Yes, the others will be there first. After 5 minutes I thought that my food was about to get cold. She said that she would come to me straight away and went to her colleague and said 'I'll go back and continue there'. Great service and the employees are totally motivated. You don't really care about the customers. Then I ate the wrong burgers that I got and tried the fries without mayo. Now a customer came in and said he had gotten the wrong burgers and was angry. Lo and behold, they took action and walked around our table to see if they had made a mistake. I can say yes, but as always, they didn't do anything to admit their mistake. Another customer said that he had been waiting over 30 minutes for his food. A complaint to Burgerking by email didn't help either. Ordered a menu for almost 15 euros and received a menu for about 8 euros The branch and the main company are not interested in this at all. Conclusion BK is history for us because the service from the staff on site is poor and the BK complaints office is just blah blah. We have the best service but are not interested in changing anything. Good luck

Disaster, waited over twenty minutes for two burgers with fries and then the burgers were cold, the tables were really dirty and the staff overwhelmed.

After waiting 25 minutes in the drive-in, we asked the lady in front of us to pull up a little so that we could get away. Other cars behind us did the same. I've never experienced anything like that!

Food is delicious but the workers are very slow and not nice

The fries were OK The wopper, on the other hand... The salad wasn't worth mentioning. Nothing under the meat, just hamburger buns on top, very sparingly, and it all seemed very dry. If this is the new wopper... In the future, like McDonald's, avoid it. Another tip why change food if it tastes good. The branch used to be a favorite of mine.

Service unfriendly and very very slow. Seem overwhelmed... Fries are cold and soft, burgers are warm but, as we all know, your eyes eat with you (picture). Despite opening hours, you can only take to-go.

Food was good. Ate there, the tables were pretty dirty. An employee wiped down the tables, but they were still dirty. The tray return shelves were all overflowing.

I'm absolutely serious. I live nearby and encounter this branch regularly. There has been no improvement here for years. The quality of the food leaves much to be desired and customer service is consistently problematic. It is obvious that many employees have difficulties with the German language, which makes communication significantly more difficult and severely affects service. I strongly advise against continuing to support this branch as long as these grievances do not change.

So after all the horror recessions I didn't expect much with my first order, but the food came from Oespel to Löttringhausen within 30 minutes, everything was warm and the delivery person was friendly....

Ordering process at the drive in was fine, quick and competent. The food, again, was the biggest letdown.

That used to be a good Burger King. I worked here as a student over 20 years ago. Now this place is just a shadow of its former self. Really sad. To my surprise, it hasn't tasted good here for a long time. The burgers were only lukewarm. The bag of fries was only half full. Yes, the burgers are freshly prepared, but the ingredients (burger patty) are not fresh. And that's exactly how it tastes. When I consider how much I paid, I unfortunately have to say that I won't be coming back for the time being.

The staff at the checkout who takes and prepares the orders is very overwhelmed and extremely slow. You sometimes wait 20 minutes for 2 burgers which are also cold and very unsatisfactory.

Only two cars in front of me in the drive in. I've been waiting for over 20 minutes. I can only agree with the previous reviews that say that the employees here seem overwhelmed because it takes an extremely long time. That was definitely my last visit here.

Tried multiple times but the wait time was always huge.The minimum waiting time is 25 minutes even if you order a simple burger or pommes. Food is usually not packed well if we have multiple orders. Taste medicore anyway. The chicken wings is always over cooked and hard to bite.

Ordered 2 parts, waited 30 minutes, order was not taken correctly, cancellation was a huge deal and took another 10 minutes. This used to be the best Burger King, now it's really rubbish Food will be cold soon Well done 😅

Something fell out of a plastic bag onto the floor as I was unpacking it; Then an employee unabashedly picked it up and put it in the hairdresser 🤮🙈just disgusting. Looked like a rooster part or something. That was on October 25th, 2024 at around 9:40 p.m. I waited for my order and watched this at the chip station. The health department should see this and make a note of the dirty tables. There is a lack of constant hygiene training for employees here😉

The employees are absolutely overwhelmed, it took 30 minutes from ordering to receiving the food, even though there wasn't much going on in the restaurant or in the drive-in. The employee at the checkout didn't even know their products or menus.

The worst Burger King experience in years. Although there is little activity, the staff is extremely overwhelmed. The order took so long to put together that most of the items were already cold. That was nothing at all.

Never again!! Drive in employees who speak German poorly. Don't understand what you want from them. So..what can I say? The food tastes very good and is warm. However, the service could be better. The staff is often very slow and forgets something or is sometimes a bit rebellious. We've been here several times and things have improved a bit, but it's still the same. It's often dirty outside and a bit dirty inside too. This could be done even better. But otherwise ok.

Burgers and fries are great as always, but the service is unfortunately completely overwhelmed if you need help ordering and are not familiar with the terminals. The help then came from other guests, it's a shame, it didn't have to be that we were so insulted when we asked nicely because we didn't know

Waited two hours for the food, in between there was a fight between a Talahon and an employee. Overall not highly recommended.

Order at midday via app + terminal. The order was ready within a few minutes. Friendly staff, restaurant pretty clean. No crowded return stations for the trays 😊

The estimated delivery time was 1.5 hours after my order was placed. It’s been more than 2.5 hours now and I’m still waiting! UPD: I got food poisoning after ordering there.

It used to be a really good Burger King location, but it has deteriorated massively recently. The food here is so incredibly bad for a Burger King that I threw out my burgers the last time I was there. The ice machine has also been broken for weeks and is not being repaired. I would recommend everyone to drive the few minutes longer to Witten, the Burger King there is clearly superior in all respects.

Waited far too long 20-30 minutes... on Wednesday around 9:40 p.m. 🤔 So, after 1-2 years it's even worse. The employees have already told me that it is not full but there are only so few people there because the management wants it that way. If you don't feel like selling it, cancel and have someone manage your purchase at the supermarket. Unfortunately that's normal there. Weak, you could rather buy rolls of lettuce and meat, some salad mayo, white onions, a slice of tomato and you have made something better yourself

Unfortunately, my visit to Burger King today was extremely disappointing. The staff was unfriendly and unhelpful. The ordering machines were broken, as was the ice cream machine - which happens quite often. The restaurant area was dirty, both the tables and the floor. The highlight, however, was an employee who first swept the floor with a broom and then used the broom to "clean" the tables. When I pointed out to him that this was absolutely unhygienic, he only responded with a dismissive shrug of his shoulders. This visit really leaves a bad impression.

Our food was really tasty, the lady who served us was very friendly and placed our order quickly 👍😀. The toilets were nice and clean. Almost everything is fine. The ambience was average.

The very last thing. We wanted to pay in cash and had a special order and the lady at the normal cash register, who was open, didn't think she could cash in on us because she already had 4 orders on her screen. We were forced to pay by card and had to wait forever because we had to go to the back of the line for the machine even though the cash register was free. Once and never again

Four of us had dinner there on a Monday, around 3 p.m. There was a lot of chaos, it was moderately crowded, almost all the tables were dirty and you waited a long time for your order (around 20 minutes). Some other guests complained that something was missing from their order and the employee always replied that she was alone. However, you could see some colleagues in the back area. Organization and thoroughness should be worked on. To be fair, we've never been there before and this is just a snapshot of that one visit.

The food was good, but the entire shop was completely filthy, from the floor to the tables and benches to the toilet. It was just disgusting. The burgers couldn't make up for that either. Just hold the rag in your hand every now and then so that the guests feel comfortable.

Drive is served. Selection machine defective. Walk-in customers are air. You can wait yourself... maybe at the job center.

You waited more than 40 minutes for your order and then you had to immediately check whether it was the right one. During the time I was waiting for my order, 7 orders were issued incorrectly or several things were forgotten. I'm used to waiting a little longer at this location, but today was unusual. Even the cola that you ordered was very warm and carbon dioxide leaked out of it. If you made a complaint you would just be looked at strangely and would be overwhelmed. In general, at a time after 6 p.m. there were far too few staff there and what was there was completely overloaded and overwhelmed. Unfortunately it was the last time I was at this location.

Food was cold. I pointed out a missing burger and I got it. When the outside temperature is 33 degrees, there is no air conditioning. Hell inside. For everyone (including employees). Unfortunately I'd rather go to Mecces opposite.

CATASTROPHE!!!!!!!! It takes 45 minutes to get my food, apart from that it takes even longer in the drive-thru…… I've never experienced anything like this, just a catastrophe!!!!!

So this Burger King used to be my absolute favorite in terms of food and ordering speed. However, since these excrement boards were installed and you can no longer even redeem the coupons from the app directly at the checkout, which is six times as fast, you now have to select each damn coupon individually and scan it on this disgusting terminal that is constantly under attack. Colleagues from the other side find it much less difficult. Why choose a Burger King franchisee? These terminals are not an optimization if small orders are not processed at the checkout at the same time. Instead, at peak times you stand in line with 15 to 20 others for the waste terminal and hope that you can order your food at some point after you start nibbling on the benches. Thanks for nothing. And oh yes, if you thought ordering online via the app would work and you could pick it up on site, you would be far from it. This is only possible if you have the bums delivered to your home.

Edit: unfortunately I have to adjust my review. The bottom doesn't count anymore. The ice cream machine has been broken for about 2 months and ordering Whopper, BK's flagship product, sometimes takes up to 22 minutes. Food yes, almost no. Particularly embarrassing with the large "Home of the Whopper" sign on the wall. Unfortunately, this BK has deteriorated so much since June 24 that I would rather go to Castrop or Witten than to this BK, which is almost 8 minutes away. Half of the vouchers, especially veggie items, cannot be redeemed here either. Very unfortunate. For historical reasons, here is my old review: Running. Good and clean BK. After the YiKo scandal (see Team Wallraff 2014) a lot has happened here. The staff is nice and the food always tastes fresh for fast food standards. My favorite BK!

I'm not used to much 🤔 But that was the worst burger experience I've had 🤮 Double cheese, bread stuck to the roof of my mouth, meat not even lukewarm, cheese not melted. Staff unfriendly, the replacement burger was just as bad 🤮

I've been to a lot of Burger King's but we don't go here anymore in an unfriendly manner just because they point out something was missing when ordering and the taste wasn't the same as what we know from Burger King.

Because of all the reports in the past, I am now very put off by the store (operator). I also ask myself why they don't even renovate the drive-in, the column for placing orders was first crooked, then stabilized with a basket full of stones. This looks like the entrance to a hovel!

Worst Burger King ever, it's not normal to wait 20 minutes for fast food!!! Better go to McDonald's across the street!!! Never again!!!

When I ordered together, mine was completely missing. There was no receipt even though we specifically asked for it and the money was kept! Under all...

My rating explicitly refers to the following experience: our child was denied the toilet! Yes, we have a special situation and special regulations have to be adhered to, but it is still a small child!!! A child who wore a protective mask and had disinfected hands! It would be understandable that adults are not allowed to use the toilets, but not with a small child!

The rooms are freshly renovated and have a new look. When there's a lot going on, it's still loud and hustle and bustle. No surprises with the food, system catering, the taste is familiar. The staff is mostly friendly and cares about the customers and the restaurant.

After 45 minutes of waiting for the “drive in” we finally received our order. Arrived home only to realize that we got the wrong burger.. 🤷🏽‍♀️ you would say that's what happens. So we went back, informed the staff and asked for a refund. The manager was nice and understanding, the employee who was there laughed in my face. Something like that is not appropriate. Whenever we order something there, something is either missing or wrong. Unfortunately no recommendation.

I would prefer not to give any stars. The employee at the counter couldn't speak German. Then she was unfriendly and a burger was still missing. When we wanted to go in again, we weren't believed and cheeky comments came.

Was here for the last time today. My Whopper had more than 12 slices of cucumber on it, but no lettuce. The Big King only had onions and meat, if you can call it that, there were so many onions you could barely see the meat. Fries were still raw. Never again!!

The Whopper Bacon Cheese was lukewarm, the cheese wasn't even halfway melted. The bacon, if at all carried past the grill. You can't go wrong with lettuce, tomatoes and ketchup... For 6.99 underground. Once again it was confirmed why I actually avoid this type of food completely. The photo in the "restaurant" doesn't even remotely reflect what you find wrapped in the paper. If you took a photo of the real product, you wouldn't buy one. Unfortunately I fell for it again...

Pure rip off we ordered from Burger King and had to wait 2 hours. In addition, the burgers and fries arrived limp and mushy. What's more, a total of 4 burgers, 1 drink and a pack of 9 nuggets are missing
